Clan History:

A long time ago, there was much warring in the lands to the North.
Anybody who was old enough to fight was armed and given the orders to march against people who had once been their neighbours. Farms were burned down, waters were poisoned.  The places of safety were becoming far and few between.

There were however, a small group of four, which had so far, managed to steer clear of the chaos that ravaged their lands. By sticking to the small villages that had yet to be touched by the wars and travelling around at night, they avoided the summons for what felt like years.

This small band of four was made up of two brothers and two sisters, coming from two different families. Though very different in cultures and methods, both of these clans strongly believed that only peace begets peace.  And because of this, they found a common ground in which to build a community that was thought to have lasted many years.

But even though two large clans got along, it didn’t mean that everyone else would follow suit. In a matter of time the original clan was lost to the fighting, leaving the four to continue on with their beliefs in other parts of the land.

But even they knew that couldn’t run forever.

The news came very suddenly after they had reached the last safe town in this place. The war had finally caught up to them and they had nowhere left to go… well, nowhere close. Late one night, the small family snuck away before the battles could get any closer and headed as far north as they could go. They continued right up until they reached the narrow sea. The very thing that could separate them from the wars and they could finally be free of running. So using their skills, they made a raft and sailed across the waters to the other side, before making a home for themselves in the local town.

For a short time they lived happily.
But then the unthinkable happened.

It followed them; the death and the chaos.
Even on this new side of the sea, the battles still raged on and the small clan had to once again, flee further north and in to the colder regions where hopefully, the war would finally retreat back to where it came from and leave this other lands alone. And it seemed that their wishes had been granted…..but other problems had arisen.

Once living in a land blessed by warmth, these four travellers were not used to living in such a constantly cold climate. So, in order to adapt, they worked on various ways to keep themselves warm. At first, they themselves shelters made of wood and stone, but that only kept out the wind. The fires they made had to be constantly maintained and soon enough, wood was becoming hard to find.  Especially, when the family started to grow in number, there was not much more they could do.
And that was when they first started to develop a new technique.

They started by drawing in the existing warmth of the fire and intermingling it with their own chakra, heating it from the inside so their bodies would be warmed from the inside out. But as the years rolled on, the drawing became unnecessary and they were able to clone their own liquid heat to feed to their Chakra. And after many generations had passed and the first four had long since moved on to the Other world, the act of heating their own chakra was as natural as breathing. It would seem that their problems of being cold were long gone and this would be the new home land.

But nothing was ever that easy.

The once small clan was now quite large in number and was growing more with every year that passed.  Life was good and free of conflict. It was Paradise.

But one day, after a particularly cold winter, things started to change.
The people that were once perfectly healthy started to break out in a raging fever and were incredibly hot to the touch. In fact, they would get so hot, the wooden floors underneath their feet started to  smoulder. The snow would melt whenever they ventured out and no one could touch each other without risking getting burnt. So what could they do?  They packed up and moved further north in search of colder parts. And once more they settled down, adjusting slowly like they had done the time before. Growing and adapting like they were born to do.

It was only a matter of time before it happened again. People would get sick and homes would start to burn up from underneath them. They would get so hot, that not even lying down in the cool snow would ease the rising temperature of within. Every time they ran away to somewhere colder, their core temperatures would rise further which forced them to keep on moving again and again. With the resting times becoming shorter and the most Northern point getting closer, it was inevitable that soon enough, they had nowhere left to run.

There was no colder place.
And then it went from bad to worse.

There was nothing they could do. The heat inside the clan people grew so intense that there was no longer any time to think of ways to cool down. There was no moment of panic, no time to say ‘good bye’. People everywhere just started to spontaneously combust where they stood, taking down anyone that might be standing near when it happened.  Those that didn’t suffer that same fate, burned in their own houses, or drowned when they tried to jump in to the water holes. Some even took their own lives in fear of suffering a worse end.  

It all ended when a small handful of people who were about to combust, stopped the effect a mere split second before it happened.
By strictly managing their chakra flow, they cooled themselves enough to be able to teach the technique to the next generation, so they might be able to save the people from their own power. In the end, the damage had been severe and it would be a long road back to recovery. But slowly, the people managed to regain their numbers and slowly move back further south, leaving the land a ghostly white with strange scoring in patches amongst the burnt out ruins.

For generations they had used that one ability to stay warm.
Learning it each time and refining it further so eventually it had been bred in to their DNA. So even now in present days, after all these years, the traditions still stand. That all children are born motherless and are raised in isolation, right until they could learn the basic chakra control so they didn’t hurt anyone. But most importantly, they are taught about the first four and how so much was lost because of something they had created all those years ago.


Kekkei Genkai Description:

The Clan are known for their use of heat jutsu as opposed to fire. The imbalance of Yang in their bodily chakra is large enough that even their skin is feverish to the touch, and can be known to be able to burn should they not keep it under control. Though not possessing an advanced element they are known for using heat and temperature control based jutsu from accelerating the heat abnormality within their bodies.

~Members of this clan gain +1 to the strength of Katon jutsu they use

~Members also gain +1 to the resistance of Katon Jutsu/ techniques.

~Finally, members of this clan when they learn to control their flames, often have crafted for them a small foot long, balanced, B rank blade, giving them something to aspire to.
