Hyūga Satsuji

Hyūga Satsuji

D-rank
The Chunin Exams had begun a few days ago, at least they should have but Satsuji wasn't participating so he didn't have a reason to rush. His only reason to be wanting to go to Kumogakure no Sato was to find someone that was capable of challenging him when it came to the art of taijutsu. Of course, he had also heard of members of his clan that were already there too, and he felt as if he had a need to find as many members of his family and try to gauge their interest in his own personal goals. It was simply only so that he could gain even more confidence in himself, and to find out who would support him when the time eventually comes.

Of course the journey to Kumogakure no Sato was also a way for him to test his skills against other shinobi from other ninja villages, and it would also act as a place for him to go to find other members of the Hidden Leaf Village, ones that were potentially in the Chunin Exams and to test his own abilities upon them, more or less to determine whether he was ready or not to become a Chuunin. Undoubtedly he knew that he was better than most of the ninja that were there, no matter what they specialized in, but even so, he still had to test his strength out, so that the other higher ranking shinobi could see his progress.

His featureless white gaze looked out over the Hidden Leaf Village. It was early morning, the sun had barely been risen higher than Hokage Mountain, or so it looked. Glancing to either side of him were his apparent retainers for this journey to the Hidden Cloud Village. Both were male, and one of them had a stern look about him. He recognized him to be his father's older brother, his uncle, a man with shoulders that were uncharacteristically large for a Hyuga, but in comparison to others outside of the Hyuga wasn't that large. We should be there soon. He pushed a hand through his hair, shoving the hair on his forehead to the side so that his Konohagakure forehead protector could show as bright as possible in the bright light.

"No wasting time on this trip, boy." Frowning, he could never understand as to why his uncle was always so cold towards him, even before anything had happened. He was certain that he hadn't been like that before, but he could never guess as to why.

"I wouldn't have it any other way," was his equally cold statement, this time not even bothering to look up at his uncle as he spared a glance to his other side and set his gaze upon his cousin, someone that he had been close to for as long as he could remember. Has he changed too? He snorted, almost sounding as if he held contempt for the both of them, and then he walked down the stairs of his household with both of the older Hyugas to either side of him. In truth he was disappointed that he had to be accompanied since he figured they would hardly see each other throughout their stay there, but he wasn't going to mention that to them on the road, or when they got there. They'll figure it out when they can't find me. He thought to himself as they began their journey to the front gates.

Once they had been walking for a few hours, his uncle grasped both of the Hyuga and called for a silent halt. Finally. Why didn't we just do this at home? He didn't dare utter those words aloud though, lest his uncle get mad and attract unwanted attention...

In a moment, the scene slowly started to change as a gust of wind start to blow against and around them, as the shunshin no jutsu took affect bringing them significantly closer to their goal of the Land of Lightning...

At least we won't be tracked... Despite his thoughts as they disappeared, he still had a sour taste in his mouth...
