Suki sighed as she walked, looking over the border of the land of lightning. It was an interesting nation to be sure. The road she would take to get home was long, but that was to be expected, she was in another nation after all. Suki was a Konoha genin, and was itching to be home and amongst her fellows. She hadn't of course, had permission to be in Kumogakure. She wouldn't have dated leave the country to go to another major nation without permission. Suki was no missing nin, she was loyal to get village. But it wasn't just loyalty to her village that made her want to get back as soon as possible. She was homesick too. She missed the forests abundant in the land of fire. The bright sun, and her family. Though the latter was something she couldn't fix. Her parents were in prison, framed for some ing they didn't do. They had been… no… were excellent ninjas. They had served as discrete body guards for nobles, though a fat lot of good it did them in the end, when one turned on them. It was why Suki distrusted those with money. She was suspicious of all nobles and all with wealth. She expected nothing more from a wealthy man than betrayal, arrogance, narcissism, and amorality. Not all with wealth and power were like this she knew, but she had been betrayed by those with wealth too many times… innocent in till proven guilty maybe, but that didn't mean you didn't keep an eye on suspected murderers.

Suki shook her head as a cloud passes by exposing the sunlight she missed. It wasn't that it couldn't be sunny in Kumogakure. But merely that it didn't feel the same. Perhaps home sickness was coloring her judgement, making her biased against Kumogakure weather. Perhaps some patriotism too. You didn't become a ninja in a village without being at least somewhat patriotic right? It was just part of the job description. Still… wether it was as good as Konoha sunlight or not, she enjoyed it. She enjoyed the feeling of some warmth on her fur. She could swear the ground beneath her paws was warmer even, despite that being impossible. Sunlight sidnt heat up ground that fast.

She longed the climb someplace high nearby and bask in the sunlight, but knew it was folly. It was a cloudy day, and this wasn't going to last long. The sooner she got home the sooner she could rest and relax… if they didn't send her out on a mission as soon as she got back. She hoped not. Suki was broken out of riviere then by someone talking. A small girl was speaking. “Oooh look daddy a kitty! Hi kitty!” A wagon was going the opposite direction, into the land of lightning as opposed to into the land of fire. Likely a merchant of some sort bringing wears from one nation to sell in another. It was common enough. The girl ran forward the, but was restrained by her father. “Here kitty kitty kitty” Suki turned her head sideways and meowed at the girl playfully and came to her. As she cocked her head to the side what might have been mistaken for a collar was reveiled to be a Konoha forehead protector.

The small girl stepped forward and reached down, and began petting her. Ninja or no she was still a cat, and she wasn't going to deny it felt good. She purred loudly and nuzzles the girl. “Ooh whats that daddy!” Suki cocked her head again and looked at him as he bent down. “Huh… A leaf headband… It's probably some leaf ninjas pet, we are at the border after all. Come on hon, we need to get going.” The girl scratched under her chin and behind her ears, and with a final pet, walked away with a happy “Bye-bye kitty!” Suki smiles and continued purring as she resumed her wall home. Barely within earshot she heard the girl one final time “Can I have a kitty daddy?” And with that, Suki smiles and resumed the walk home.
