A gentle breeze came through the marketplace as nighttime reigned supreme. Shadows seemingly danced in the darkness, free to move about in sweet serenity, unseen by any and all. Lighting the marketplace would be the small lights each shop provided, illuminating the interiors of each one along with small sections of the outside world as well. This was the very first time Aiden had been inside a maketplace at night along with the very first event he had ever been to in his life, and he must say, he is indeed enjoying the experience. Sure, there may be one or two things that didn't seem so great about it, like the shopkeeper trying to hit him with a broom as a way to get him off of his roof, or the fact he was being yelled at as well at that moment, but other than that, he was really enjoying himself.

"What the hell are you doing? Get down from there you little shit!" The man's voice rang out through Aiden's mind, bringing him out of his relaxed and smiley state and back into reality. The five foot three boy would look downwards towards the man, watching him hit his legs with the handle, causing small stings of pain to shoot out, the tingling feeling bringing him now entirely to his senses. This probably wasn't the best spot for him to sit down and enjoy the view at, now that he thought of it, and so as a way to please the shopkeeper and a few people that crowded around him Aiden would drop down and land on his feet, giving them man an embarrassed smile while he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Sorry about that. I'll just be going now."

After receiving a rude "Hmph" in response, Aiden would simply turn around and begin to walk away from the grumpy man, slipping through the crowd as his tail wagged slightly from side to side. On a regular day, he'd either just argue with the man about how he wasn't doing anything wrong to deserve that or he would just simply ignore him until he gave up and went back to actually running his store, but the. Again this isn't a regular day. This was a day where Aiden was by himself, a day where he can enjoy his freedom and see things he never saw before. He stuck both hands within the pockets of his white jacket as he continued on, soon enough walking along the darker outskirts of the marketplace, away from the crowd where a more peaceful setting can be found.

Now by himself, the navy-haired boy thought about how exactly he can pay back his debt to Sunagakure for the ninja freeing him, and about what his origins were. He himself never knew who his family was, nor where he came from, who he truly is, or even what his birthday is, for that matter. Whenever he asked while in captivity, he would either get struck down or told that he was merely some item being sold off in some shithole, though his pointed ears heard a different story, catching on to muffled conversations in the background, a specific word which he remembered more clearly than the rest.

Kirigakure.

He heard about the Village before. Only a single thing out of the very few things he knew a little about regarding the outside world. If this place will help him get his answers, then he would silently decide to head there sometime when he feels he is ready and able to make the trip. But that is the future, and this is the present, and in the present, he would continue to simply walk away from the marketplace, enjoying himself and everything around him.

They were scouting - two teenage girls with flaring silvery-white hair. Crimson eyes peered into the night, gazing carefully upon anyone that passed in front. One of the girls - dressed in an impeccable outfit of black and white - was staring at the small chips in her manicured nails. She was more often than not an accomplice of her sister's plans, whether she wanted to be or not. This, admittedly, wasn't the most intriguing of adventures that her twin had come up with.

The other girl, on the other hand - wearing a skin tight suit with white markings - was completely enthralled with what she was doing. Her eyes zoomed past the crowds and the darkened sky. She watched a young boy with dark hair pass in front of her. Now, usually, she would have paid little to no attention to him. But something caught her eye - a tail. She pounced at a moment's notice, her Jounin reflexes acting in full force. In one fell swoop she would have her arms wrapped around Aiden, dragging him into the dark alley in the blink of an eye.

"Hey, Reiko! I caught a live one!" beamed the seventeen year old girl. Her arms would be wrapped around the poor Aiden, holding him tightly in case he squirmed. "Can I keep it? Pretty please?" It was always difficult to gauge whether or not Chie was being serious. Well, difficult for anyone save Reiko, who could read her sister perfectly, even now. "I thought you said you were looking for a pet bird," said Reiko, arms crossed over her chest and an uninterested look on her face. And yet she was... Amused. At least mildly so.

Chie nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah! But then I saw this one!" she said as she would wrap her arms even tighter around the boy, in a sort of bear hug. Well, might as well have fun with the situation while she was there, no? "I don't think mom or grandma will let you take it back to Suna with you. Besides, it looks scrawny - wouldn't last a week at the house."

Aiden was caught off guard by a stranger suddenly pouncing upon him, arms wrapped around him as they would force him into a dark alley faster than he can even tell what was happening. Aiden was taken out of his thoughts once more, this time entering a situation that he couldn't really understand in slightest as to what was happening. He overheard them one that caught him exclaim that she had caught a live one in a voice that sounded like a teenage girls. She asked if she can "keep it", pleading if she can keep him. Another stranger spoke up, inquiring that she thought she wanted a pet bird.

Aiden, in the midst of all this commotion being caused, would begin to growl lightly before speaking.

"I'm not an it!"

He yelled as he thrashed about, ignoring the comments about his not lasting a week in the house and about his being scrawny. He did however thrash around slightly less as he was being bear hugged due to the fact that it made things harder for him to breathe. Using his tail, he would try to wrap it around one of his captor's legs. If it succeeded in doing so, then it would be simple enough to pull with the tail while she was dragging him away, causing her to possibly lose her balance.

Chie tightened her grip around the boy and nuzzled him, ignoring his protests and squirming. "But Rei-rei! I'll take super good care of it! Mom and grandma won't even have to know he's there! It's so cute!" she insisted. Reiko took a good look at the kid, held firmly in Chie's grasp. She wouldn't really call him cute of all things, but she was beyond questioning her twin sister's tastes at this point. That's when she noticed the tail - thin and covered in brown hair. She had seen it before, she recognized it. It was one of the traits of the many Kekkei Genkai that roamed the world. This one she remembered having a settlement in Sunagakure - the Hunter clan.

Reiko kept a careful catalogue in her memory of everything she saw and recalled it with near perfection. She had a hunch that this kid was from their home village. "On second thought, I'm pretty sure it's from Suna, so you won't be taking it from its natural habitat..." Reiko said, pretending to wonder out loud. She might as well have her fun with this. "Yay! Then that's a maybe! A maybe is almost a yes!" Chie said in a sing-song voice, twirling around while still holding the boy in what could pretty much be called a chokehold - a chokehold of love.

They both exited the alley - Otter would still be in Chie's death grip. They would walk down the street while holding the boy as if there were nothing wrong with the picture. Where they kidnapping an innocent boy and threatening to take him into slavery? Yes, something of the sort. Where they aware of this? Only Reiko was. Did she care? Well, she had a tough time caring about anything. This was no exception.

They both heard someone clearing their throat behind them. They both recognized the sound instantly. They turned around slowly - Chie visibly nervous, Reiko stoic as always. "It's not what it looks like, mom!" Chie cried.

Gin Kuroka - former Kazekage - stood in all her glory in front of them, imposing and exuding an aura of pure strength and chaos. "Who the hell is that?"

Aiden's attempt to trip his captor would end in failure as she simply ignored it, instead squeezing tighter on him while nuzzling him. He could hear her mention her ensuring that she will take super good care of it, and that their mother and grandmother won't even have to know he's there. She went on to call him "cute", which if it weren't for him being bear-hugged at the moment, probably would have made him blush from embarrassment. Being held firmly in one of the two's grasp, the other would take a good look at him, making him feel as though he was being examined like some kind of insect, which was most certainly a feeling he disliked.

Then, the one examining him spoke him, stating that she's pretty sure it's from Suna, and that she won't be taking it from its natural habitat. It was that that had caused what seemed like a storm for poor Aiden to begin, as the one that held onto him screamed out in joy, stating that it was a maybe, and that a maybe is almost a yes. She nearly sung it in a cheery, sing-song voice while she twirled him around in this choke hold of hers. Whoever this person was that had him in her grasp was certainly one that had the a seemingly innocent attitude about her, almost as if she's some sort of over-sized child. On any other occasion should Aiden have encountered her he'd like her, as he liked those with fun and seemingly unpredictable attitudes and personalities, but considering that she'd putting him in some sort of choke hold, this was most definitely not one of those times.

Both girls would exit the alley with Aiden still in the girl's death grip, being dragged with them as they continued down the street and with this kidnapping. He would  continue to fight and struggle against the grip, just wishing to be let go now rather than escape, and preferring to be able to move on his own without being forced to by another. It was then though that all three would hear the sound of someone clearing their voice from behind them, causing Aiden's captors to turn around slowly and face the one that made their presence clear to all. The one holding onto Aiden immediately blurted out, calling the stranger "mom" and telling her that it's not what it looks like. The female-like stranger standing before them at what seemed to be five feet and eight inches had an unusual appearance, particularly the artificial arm she had in replacement to her real one and her silver hair.

Staring at this woman while she herself asked who the hell he was, Aiden stopped squirming around and defiantly looked back at her.

"I'm apparently a new pet for your kid. Who the heck are you?"

He retorted, obviously not knowing about the previous Kazekage whatsoever due to being basically a foreigner to the village of Sunagakure. He felt a strong sense of the female standing before him being full of immense power, yet he couldn't care at the moment let alone think straight, as he was beginning to get agitated at the death grip her daughter had him in.

If they had been in a closed off space, the sound of Gin Kuroka cracking her knuckles would have echoed loudly. It was nevertheless intimidating, since the woman's sheer aura of recklessness was damn near impossible to miss. She grinned widely and sadistically. Both Chie and Reiko knew that look - hell they had been raised with it their whole lives. Well... maybe not their whole lives, seeing as Gin was rarely ever there. The two girls had largely raised themselves. "I'm Gin Kuroka - former Kazekage of the Hidden Sand, kid. And I like you, you've got spunk," she said with a mildly terrifying chuckle. She tended to like people that were feisty and hotheaded.

"Can I keep it mama?" Chie asked innocently, petting Aiden's head.

"She insists she'll take care off it," Reiko said as he rolled her eyes.

Was Gin used to this sort of thing? Quite. It happened often. The answer was always the same, however. "Sweetheart, ever since you killed your step-father's chicken - Gods rest both their souls - you know there's no pets allowed in the house," she reminded the girl. Tapioca had been such a good pet... Oh well, nothing lasted forever. Chie looked like she was about to cry, hugging Aiden and digging her face into his shoulder. "But! That doesn't mean we can't have fun for a bit, right?" Gin said.

She tapped all three of them on the shoulder, sending a stream of chakra into their bodies. She made a series of handsings and pressed her had to the concrete ground below her. Where her hand was, a large wheel-of-fortune appeared, glittered and decorated with neon lights that read "Wheel of Bad Ideas." Seeing this, Reiko actually smiled while Chie jumped up and down with glee. The options on the wheel read as follows:

#1 - Change Teams!
#2 - Gin Joins the Battle!
#3 - Weapons change form into random household items!
#4 - Damage Swap!
#5 - Fight while rapping!
#6 - Where's gravity?
#7 - Woops! You can't move from your spot!
#8 - Looks like you can't use your main element or specialty!
#9 - Spontaneous combustion!

Gin proceeded to take a deep breath to fill her lungs with as much air as she could. She let out a high pitched whistle. In a few seconds, a boy with silver hair walked into the scene. "Hey Shinji! We're playing Wheel of Bad Ideas! That's your partner over there!" Chie yelled loudly. After Gin tapped his shoulder as well, he headed next to Aiden.

Shinji smiled charmingly and extended his hand towards the boy - they were pretty much the same age. "Hello there! Shinji here, I'll be your teammate for this. Rules are simple, mom over there spins the wheel. Whatever it lands on happens. She put a seal on your shoulder to make sure of that," he explained. Out of the four of them, Shinji likely seemed to be the most normal of the bunch.

The woman would crack her knuckles loudly while Aiden watched on, feeling her already powerful presence merely increase in intensity, giving an intimidating feel to her figure in general. Her very grin seemed wild, almost as if it wasn't a Human making such a facial expression as much as it was a creature, and the grin itself had a sadistic appearance to it. Aiden swallowed in response to her appearance, a small gulping sound being made, though his defiant facial expression wouldn't leave his face. It was a sign of his foolhardiness, his willingness to stand up to those which stood before him, attempting to force their strength and power down his throat. He cared not for power and strength as much as he did freedom, and his unbreakable will to free himself is what fooled him to be as bold as he was by giving this obvious figure of authority a look that basically screamed "I'm not intimidated by you."

He listened to her entitling herself as the former Kazekage of the Hidden Sand, otherwise known as Gin Kuroka, furthermore stating that she likes him since he has "spunk". He has spunk? Never in Aiden's life did he imagine that he actually had spunk as much as he just had the ability to stand up for himself, though then again during his life whatever trace of "spunk" he had would usually get beaten out of him seconds after revealing itself, thus making him usually act passive unless panicked. It was Gin's chuckle as well that also seemed to not be normal. In fact, it seemed mostly she was attempting to terrify or intimidate Aiden to a certain extent, though what that extent is or how far she is trying to go if she's even trying Aiden knows nothing of. Even though he would freely admit that yes, he was scared on the inside, he plastered a mask of fake emotions over his real ones in order to not give this woman the satisfaction of knowing that she intimidated some boy.

The girl that had him captured still spoke up, innocently asking if she can keep him while she began to pet his head. He liked his head being petted, but that's a secret of his and a secret of his to keep to himself, especially at a moment like this where the  one petting his head is the same one that was just bear hugging the life out of him not too long ago. Her supposed sister then spoke up, stating that the girl is insisting that she'll take care of him. Aiden just silently growled in response to this, as he didn't wish to be a pet, slave, servant, or whatever along the likes of that, and he'll be damned if he becomes one now. Gin then spoke up, reminding the girl of how ever since she killed her step-father's chicken that no pets are allowed in the house. This of course of all things triggered a reaction from the girl, whom of which began to hug the navy-haired boy, digging her face into his shoulder.

It was then that Gin would speak once more, telling her that that doesn't mean they can't have fun for a bit. It would be then that Aiden would have no idea what he had just gotten himself into. With the tap of all three of their shoulders and the signing of handsigns, Gin would pressed her hand against the concrete ground below, causing a large wheel of some sort to appear. This wheel was decorated in neon lights of all sorts and was entitled "Wheel of Bad Ideas". While the girl that had a sad mood going on just seconds ago jumped with glee, Aiden looked at the wheel blankly before slipping away from the girl and getting some distance away from her. He didn't dare try to run, not to mention he had no wish to since this seemed almost as if some kind of gameshow-themed brawl was about to begin.

With the sound of a high pitch whistle occurring, causing the boy's pointed ears to twitch before he held them in pain, a silver-haired boy that looked to be Aiden's age also appeared on the scene, his name according to the excited girl being "Shinji". She told him that they're playing Wheel of Bad Ideas, before indicating to him that Aiden is his partner. With the tap of his shoulder, Shinji went over to Aiden. With a charming smile and the extension of a hand, Shinji spoke, telling Aiden that he'll be his teammate for this. He went on to explain the rules, which were simple for the most part; wheel gets spun, whatever it lands on is what happens, and the seals on their shoulders make sure it does as well.

Shaking Shinji's hand, Aiden mustered up a friendly smile back, happy to know that at least someone isn't trying to stick him under some kind of choke hold or something of the sort. Honestly, he couldn't help but like the two girls a little bit, though he also didn't really like the fact that he was getting kidnapped by them either.

"It's nice to meet you Shinji, i'm Aiden, and i'm looking forward to playing this game alongside you."

Cracking his knuckles, he gave off a slightly cocky smile while looking back at the wheel.

"Let's get this started, it sounds fun!"

Shinji beamed widely. It was good to have someone enthusiastic join in on the craziness that was his family - more so if it was an outsider. "Glad to hear it!" he began. Chie and Reiko were warming up and stretching, standing about 15 meters away from the two boys.

"Now, you should know what my sisters can do. Chie over there is a ninjutsu, taijutsu and medical expert. She uses these weird plush toys loaded with weapons and elements as jutsu. They move on their own, so watch out. Also, boil release. It gets messy, but we could use that to our advantage if we play our cards right," he said, now turning his attention to Reiko.

"Reiko on the other hand is a sword user. She created her own swords from chakra, just like mom. They're infused with either lightning or fire - sometimes both. She uses taijutsu and fuuinjutsu too. All in all, she's a close-ranged fighter and dodgy as all hell. Distractions are key here, got it?" he explained. It was the basic rundown of what each of the twins could do. Shinij would just have to try to play to different aspects of their personalities and exploit them to throw them off. He just hoped Aiden could catch on and follow his lead.

In a puff of smoke, a microphone appeared in Gin's hand. "Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome one and all to this spectacle of bravery and aptitude, where luck could change everything in one second! Yes! This game will test your adaptability skills in every way imaginable! And that's not all! The winners get a very special prize from yours truly! What is it? I don't know yet. But it'll be special, I promise!" Gin exclaimed. The excitement in her voice was almost tangible. A crowd had begun to gather - wait, where the hell had those bleachers come from? They were in a full-fledged arena. Chie, Reiko and Shinji all stood in their basic stances.

"Fight starts as soon the wheel stops. Are you ready?!" The crowds cheered wildly. Just like that, Gin placed her hand on the wheel and spun it with all her might. This would take a while.

Aiden couldn't help but offer a small grin in response to Shinji's beaming expression. It was nice to have someone actually friendly and nice, even if that person is about to fight him and possibly beat the crap out of him. A nice switch from the usual crazy or overly serious people he and met, and such a change which he welcomed openly. Besides, honestly, a family that seems to be as chaotic as this one seems rather fun to play a game with, and as long as he doesn't spontaneously combust Aiden saw this as an opportunity for him to actually get to know some more people. Approximately fifteen meters away were  the two girls, both of which were warming up and stretching.

Shinji would begin to inform Aiden about the the two. The one that had him in a chokehold is Chie, and she's an expert in Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, and Medical Ninjutsu. Plush toys loaded with weapons and elements are what she uses, and they move on their own as well. Along with that she also uses boil release which can make things get a bit messy but they themselves could use that to their advantage if they play their cards right. The other one is Reiko, and she is a sword user. Just like their mother, Reiko created her weapons from chakra and they're usually infused with either lightning of fire, of even both sometimes. She also uses Taijutsu and Fuuinjutsu though overall she is a close-ranged fighter and dodgy as all hell. He finally finished his assessment but stating that distractions are key here.

With a nod of his head, Aiden would form the Tiger Sign, focusing on bringing in his chakra using the very basic knowledge he has as he waited for the battle to begin. He would hear Gin herself making an announcement, declaring this a spectacle of bravery and aptitude. Where luck could change everything in one second. She mentioned that this game will test their adaptability skills in every way imaginable, and that's not all, but the winners get a very special prize from she herself. She doesn't know what the prize is yet herself, but she promises it will be special. The excitement in her words rang out as a crowd began to gather and bleachers suddenly appeared. Wait... Bleachers? What the heck? Aiden was confused when this place became an arena, though he knew he couldn't focus on it for too long, as the fight is about to begin.

The wretched wheel kept spinning and spinning, the lights forming into circular beams of light as it continued on. The very design blurring out of sight, creating a circular blur of it's own as well. The wheel continued spinning for what seemed like a while, though after said while passed, it finally landed on something. Aiden blinked twice as his mind processed what the wheel landed on, indicating that this fight is going to begin with a neat little twist.

Change teams

Without a second thought, the navy-haired boy spat out a sphere of water at Shinji, whom of which was standing a little more then a meter away. With the boy being a little over a meter away and the attack moving at twenty meters per second, the attack would be quite difficult for a regular person to avoid, but these people weren't regular, they probably have never been "regular". They're crazy, apparently skilled as well, and so as a precaution Aiden would do a quick leap backwards, landing three more meters away from Shinji, totaling up to four away, where he would continue on, infusing a very small amount of his chakra into something unknown.

Round and round and round and round, the wheel kept spinning for about two minutes. Chie and Reiko readied themselves, as did Shinji. They were braced for practically anything. Shinji has his signature weapon on him - a small cylinder lying horizontally across his lower back, filled with liquid metal that he could shape into just about anything. A sword would materialize in Reiko's hand as soon as the wheel stopped spinning. It was a simple blade, though it had the ability to expand and retract from 3 to 7 ft in a moment's notice. Chie on the other hand... well, she was a creature of instinct. She would just go for the first thing that came to mind when the wheel stopped.

The wheel began to dwindle, slowing down, teetering between two outcomes that would affect the course of battle. Chie's stomach tingled with excitement. Reiko was poised and steady. Shinji was bracing himself.

3...2...1!

Change Teams.

The phrase had barely registered in Shinji's head as Aiden began his first attack. All Shinji could do was raise his hand. With it, a small portion of the liquid metal he had been embedding with his chakra followed his movements. He was barely able to shape it into a half-formed shield. The blast hit his skin partially, drilling a small hole into his forearm and launching him backwards four meters. His back skidded on the ground. He broke his fall with a backwards roll and stood up almost immediately. His arm was bleeding, but he paid little attention to that. The rest of the liquid metal drifted out of the cylinder, forming small spheres around him. There were around fifteen in total. "Two can play at that game," he said as a smirk graced his features.

"Shinji's mine," Reiko announced, turning her sword on her twin sister, who immediately stepped back to avoid the diagonal slash that had been aimed at her stomach. She barely managed to do so, resulting in a small gash from her belly button to her lower hip. Seeing this, Shinji decided to target Chie instead of Aiden. The spheres he had formed flew towards the girl, managing to scratch her shoulders and thighs.

"Tis but a flesh wound!" Chie yelled as she dashed backwards, creating further distance between her and her sister. Her hands moved rapidly, forming the handseals she needed. In a puff of smoke appeared a plush zebra - oddly lifelike and proportionate. It dashed towards Reiko, much too quickly for even her to dodge fully. Both she and Shiji knew exactly what that thing could do. The resulting explosion of fire and acid mist had a large and destructive range.

Shinji used the metal - still drifting in Reiko's general area. It wrapped itself around the girl's wrist. Shinji moved his hand in a graceful movement, drawing Reiko towards him by the wrist just as the zebra exploded. Some of the corrosive gas managed to make contact with Reiko's left leg, causing second degree burns along her knee and thigh. She hissed at the pain.

She now stood next to Shinji, sword in hand. They made eye contact briefly - their gazes communicating the basic structure of a plan. Shinji would act as support, using his metal as her shield. She rushed forward, followed by the small spheres. Sword in hand, she was dashing towards the tree that Aiden was now sitting in. She moved her sword. However, she wasn't aiming to hit him. Instead, she sliced down the tree itself in order to drive him out. Shinji's metal would be waiting to react according to Aiden's movements.
