Guanyin Nanashi

A lone yellow orb, cold as cement on a dreary night stared upon the rising sun, the multitude of twirling chaotic colors created a psychedelic background. The single eye belonged to no other than Guanyin Nanashi, the special jounin standing a front of his locked house – having just exited it a few moments prior. The man in question was heading out towards the administration building to pick up a mission for him and his student – Alessi. At least that was the plan before he caught himself staring up at the psychedelic sky, lost in thoughts. Whatever he might be thinking wouldn't be known by any, for a second wouldn't passed before he shook his head and made his way towards the building. . ..

“Here for a mission?” Nanashi nodded at the question, waiting patiently for the chuunin to rummage through the box full to the brim with assignments needed to be filled. Having arrived into the mission hall he was surprise that there weren't many people in the establishment. It looked like everyone decided to sleep in.

No, you are just early. . .

“Ah! Here you go. A rampaging boar in the Wild West sector. . .” The chuunin stated. Nanashi catching the scroll, unraveling in and memorizing the content before rolling it back up and leaving the vicinity – not before given a thanks.

Moving through the streets of Iwagakure, Nanashi made his way towards the residents of his student. The special jounin having forgotten to tell Alessi about them doing a mission today, so she probably would still be asleep or something. Making his way up to her door, Nanashi knocked on it three times, waiting patiently for the woman to open up. If she didn't there was always alternative ways to enter a house.

Lets hope she doesn't slap me. . .

Alessi’s ear poked up slightly upon hearing the knocks. Someone was at the door and she knew it. Considering she would have to answer, she slowly shuffled to the edge of her bed. Inching out of her covers, one foot made it out of the bed and onto the floor. It took her a while, but she eventually was able to completely get out of bed. Stumbling towards the stairs, she had one hand on the railing and one on the wall to keep her balanced as she walked downstairs. Seeing a slight shadowy figure outside the front door, she made her way to it and stuck a hand out in hopes of hitting a doorknob.

Fumbling slightly for the handle of the door, she finally got a grip on it. The door slowly creaked open, letting the sun into her house. Opening it to see her Sensei staring at her, she yawned and blinked a few times. Alessi looked like a mess. Her hair was messed up completely and it looked as if she had some major bedhead. She had on a shirt that was way too large for her and some short pajama shorts. It was obvious that she was still groggy from sleep. Lazily looking up and opening her left eye slightly, she opened her mouth and yawned. Taking a small step forward, she lifted her right hand and attempted a slow and lethargic slap. If it hit, it would only be her simply dragging an open palm over Nanashi’s face. Whether or not her hand made contact, Alessi really didn’t care. She would turn and start to walk inside, leaving the door open for Nanashi to either enter or remain standing outside. With a groan, she went back upstairs and changed into her normal clothes.

Again, she walked down the stairs and went to go find Nanashi. “Ugh…” A silent groan echoed as she searched for her Sensei. There was no doubt that Alessi was tired and not a morning person. “Nanashi… What do you want…? Did we schedule training or something…?” An occasional yawn interrupted her statement, but overall, it was clear.

An eyebrow raised slightly at the woman who stood a front of him. His lone eye looking at obviously groggy woman – taking in the appearance of her attire, that he assumed was her sleep well. The single eye lingered on her sharply legs which her short shorts accentuated them nicely. Tearing his eyes. . .or rather eye from her legs, Nanashi dutifully noted that Alessi wasn't a morning person – if her dis-heaved state was anything to go by. Nanashi didn't stop the impending slap that connecting with his cheek – her hand dragging across his relatively soothed face.

Nice ass.” The compliment(if you can call it that) was given in a nonchalant manner, Nanashi following his student into her home, shutting the door behind him – lone eye staring briefly at her backside before taken in the surroundings. Homey and cozy . . . that was the first two words that came to mind, when describing the atmosphere and 'vibe' of her home. This being the first time he ever been into her home. Maybe he will come over here more often?

Hearing a groan coming from the staircase, Nanashi looked at his student, now dressed in some decent clothing, him having been looking at a few pictures on the wall. “No exactly schedule training. Signed us up for a mission. A simple C-rank one, killing the boar. We can count it as training if you want but eh. . .just want to spend time with my favorite cute student.” The last part being said in a sarcastic manner. “So are you up for it? Or has the student who proclaim to be ready for anything, not for once?”

Alessi was too tired to care for Nanashi’s comments. If she was more awake, she would’ve said some sort of witty comeback. There wasn’t even a single care given about how she looked when she greeted Nanashi at the door, but she obviously noticed that he was staring at her.

After she was done with the basics of her morning, she listened in to Nanashi’s plan for the day and sighed. “It’s mornings like this… where I regret having you as a teacher…” Alessi took a deep breath, stretched her arms up, and silently cracked her back. Continuing the streak of cracks, she twisted her waist to the left and right before exhaling. Her energy seemed to immediately go back to normal once she was done stretching. “Am I up for it…?” Standing up and taking a step back, she threw a few punches towards the air in front of her before going into a basic standing position. “Come on… After all these years of you teaching me, I’d think you would’ve known by now that I don’t back down.” With a bright smile, she put her hands behind her back and started to walk towards the door.

So she regret having him as a teacher, eh? Nanashi chuckled at her comment. He knew that Alessi was kidding, how could she hate someone like him!? It not like he teased her relentlessly, grabbed her boob or tried to kill her in every sparring section. Nor did he come to her home at godly morning hours. Nope! The silver haired male didn't do any of that. . . okay maybe he did do all of that and more. But give the sociopathic man a break, it's hard keeping up a facade, for sooner or latter it will become apart of one's own personality. However! Her snark comment wouldn't go without consequences “My dear, the feeling is mutual.”

Nanashi didn't bother in watching the woman stretch instead mentally taking inventory of his equipment and it's placement on him. Senbons in easily reached holster. Along with kunai. Okay, maybe his inventory wasn't much but it was something. Nodding at his student's enthusiasm, which was none moment prior, Nanashi followed her out of house – shutting and locking the door behind him.

Hopefully she has her keys. . .

Sometimes I wonder about that.” Not given her a chance to reply, Nanashi threw a scroll at his student “Just in case you didn't remember what I said about our mission. Read along with way. “Exhaling, Nanashi moved through the streets of Iwagakure, momentarily stopping at the food vendor getting them both an apple before continue on their way. Reaching the gates of Iwagakure, Nanashi flashed his headband before heading out into the wilderness with Alessi.

Lets gets this over with. For you to return back to your beauty sleep. . .” With that said, Nanashi moved towards the Wild West section.

Time to hunt a boar. . .

Even though she was in no mood to do a mission, she was fully capable of suppressing the feeling until the mission was completed. Alessi quickly reached a hand up and caught the scroll. She opened it up and read the contents rather quickly. It seemed like a pretty basic mission and shouldn’t take too long. The only real concern she had about the mission description was the part about killing the boar. Though animals were a different was different than a human, she would definitely have to close her eyes when it came to finishing the boar off with a final blow. With a silent sigh, Alessi sped her pace up to catch up to her sensei as well as match his pace.

“Um… Nanashi… Are we really going to have to kill this boar…?” She looked over at Nanashi and had a somewhat light, but fearful look in her eye. In her mind, she could only guess what kind of torturous things Nanashi could do to the animal. Him being… well… him, there was a possibility of him taunting her with the boar’s death. A small shiver creeped its way up Alessi’s back and ended up stopping at her neck. As nervous as she was to see the animal’s fate, she wanted to at least get some sort of reaction or sign from Nanashi indicating what his plans were for it.

The scenery around them quickly changed from a rocky surface to a wooded area. The sun was now above them and shining through the green leaves of the trees. Speckles of light dotted the forest floor as they continued to walk. Alessi occasionally looked around to see any signs that the boar was nearby. A few key thing would be fallen trees or even marks made by the animal.

Some might say that Nanashi were a cruel individual for choosing a mission like this – for a student who's afraid of killing. Some might say that he was getting some sick pleasure in seeing her distraught face, her mind going through all the morbid ways her sensei could kill the animal or maybe how her sensei was going to make her do the deed. Yes, many might think that those were reasons for choosing such a mission. To get some sick pleasure at his student's torment. For those who think like that, they would be wrong. Nanashi didn't choose this mission to torment her, it was meant to help her. Help her get over her fear of killing. One can not have a successful career as a shinobi with such a crippling fear. It's fine to dislike killing but when one has a legitimate fear of doing the deed, there lies to the problem. And it was time for Nanashi, as a sensei, as a comrade, to help Alessi get over her fear.

His pace slowed down, obviously knowing that his student would have some quells with the given mission and most likely wanted to talk about it. Her words were light, like a single feather caressing over one's cheek, each filled with her fears of potentially killing the animal. Turning to face Alessi, fear etched in her eyes and face, a single yellow eye once cold flickered to warmth and reassurance, before returning back to it's dead like state, happening so fast that it could be thought of as an illusion.

You care. . .

He didn't speak. It probably wasn't the best ideas, allowing Alessi's thoughts to run rampant. Who knows what kind of crazy scenarios were cooking up in her head? “Alessi-chan. . .” the first time ever that he added -chan to her name, and it not being in a teasing manner “This boar has been attacking villagers. This mean that it could have attacked young defenseless children, women or men. It's a problem that needed to be solve. Now let's face we capture the animal and let it go somewhere else. What if it comes back? And this time end up killing someone. The death would be on our shoulders, for we didn't kill the animal. “ he allowed his words to sink in, before continuing, fingers running through his hair “We will simply knock out the boar and give it to the villagers to kill. This way the animal wouldn't be wasted, it's meat can provide food and it's hide can be used in many ways. Even the bones can be used to make stuff out of. For the animal sake, we will be there to witness them kill the animal in order to make sure they don't torture it. What do you think of this?” He asked wanting to get her opinion on the matter.

He had noted the change of scenery, scanning for any indication of fallen trees or dug up roots that indicated that the boar was in the general location. At the same time Nanashi was trying to remember the location of the village that was near the given location. His hand rubbed against a tree, before noticing the roots around it been uprooted. The boar was close. . .

Somebody help me!” A scream ripped through the forest, birds fluttering from their resting place, startled by the unexpected noise. Nanashi's neck snapped towards the west, where the scream came from “Let's go. . .” no sooner had the words left his mouth the silver haired man ran towards the location of the scream. Nanashi duck, and weaved underneath overgrowth, all the while trying to set a pace comfortable for his student.

After five minutes of running, Nanashi brought through the dense forest, clothing ripped slight, scratch marks prominent on his face and unprotected arms. This didn't bother Nanashi much, what was bothering him was the boar that were mere 3 meters away from them who was about to trample over a down child. . . The boar was massive, at least by normal boar standards, it's thick brown fur barely containing it's massive muscles barely being contain by it.

Making sure his student was near him, Nanashi spoke “Grab the kid, I will handle the boar.” no sooner had he spoke, did he dash off towards the boar, gain it's attention allowing Alessi to grab the child. But as he ran towards the wild animal Nanashi's words floated on the wind “We do this because of them. . .”

Alessi cringed slightly as her Sensei told her the consequences of letting the boar live. Her mind was in a bit of turmoil. There was no chance she would allow the death of the boar by her hands, or even Nanashi’s. The way she was thinking, she would most likely try to protect the life of the boar once they found it. The moment Nanashi hit a pause, Alessi thought for a moment before trying to talk. “But we can’t just-” Before she was able to continue her statement, Nanashi started to give an alternative suggestion to the boar situation. This plan was one she liked more than just killing the boar. Although she wasn’t too much of a fan of watching the boar’s death at the hands of the villagers, it was a better alternative than straight up killing the boar and leaving it in a bloody mess. “I… I guess we can give the boar to the villagers…” Alessi was quiet and still somewhat shaken up by the thought of death.

The moment the two of them heard the scream, they both reacted the exact same way. Nanashi was the first to take action, but he wasn’t too far ahead of Alessi. Rushing towards the source of the scream, she tried her best to follow behind her Sensei as best as possible. Sliding past a few trees in her way, her clothes had an occasional rip here and there. It took a fair amount of time, but they had finally arrived to see the boar as well as a cornered child. Alessi’s immediate attention was focused on the child. The moment Nanashi prompted her to grab the kid and bring him to a safe place, Alessi hopped right next to him and wrapped her arms around him. With another hop, she kept the child close and brought them to a safe enough distance. “Stay here, we’ll take care of the boar and come back to see you. Alright?” Alessi left before getting an answer back, so she just assumed that the kid heard her and wasn’t going to move a muscle. They probably wouldn’t want to risk being seen by the boar and attacked again.

Alessi came back to the open area where Nanashi had been taking on the boar. It looked as if he was doing fine, but she was still waiting for either an opening to attack the boar, or a signal from Nanashi.

The boar, it snarled at the approaching human. Humans, such weak and disgusting creatures. They are frail, and raged pointless wars. Yes, humans are truly inferior to the other races. But this human. . .he were different. He wasn't like all the other feeble flesh bags that came to an early demise when trying to tame or kill the great beast. No this one were different. He were dangerous. If the boar could creature coherent thoughts, it would have been along those lines. The boar knew it must be careful, weary around this one. And that's why instead of charging at Nanashi it began circling the silver haired male, watching for any openings to take advantage of. There were none. . . Feral eyes locked onto the man, movement, what was he doing? Why was there a mist surrounding it? And why were it feeling drowsy? And w –

Darkness overtook the boar, the last thing it saw was Nanashi approaching it, and it snarled one last time. . .

Nanashi looked down at the sleeping beast. The special jounin had used a medical ninjutsu that were chemical based. The one and only serotonin technique that manipulated the serotonin, within all living creatures, causing them to inner a deep slumber. The boar wouldn't wake up till the man wills it so. A lone eye looked over at Alessi who left the kid not that far away from her. Flickering his attention to the kid, Nanashi's eye narrowed before looking back at Alessi – disappointed obviously when it. Seems like she didn't check the kid for injuries. . .

Zangel! Where are you!?” Exclaim multiple voices, not that far from where Nanashi and Alessi were. Nanashi watched as the boy who Alessi saved yelled out to the group, telling them where he was. So the boy's name is Zangel, eh? Nanashi musing were cut short when a group of twenty villagers men, women and children all came from the eastern point; the adults banishing scythes, pitchforks, etc.

A burly man moved towards Nanashi, having spotted the man standing near the boy while some of the others went to check up on Zangel.

Who might you be, Shinobi-san?” His voice were raspy and extremely deep.

Special Jounin Nanashi at your services. And the shinobi over there is Chuunin Alessi. . .my student. And you are?”

Zeil, the boy's father.” The now identified Zeil pointed towards the boy who were in the arms of a crying woman. That Nanashi presumed was his mother. “The boar tried to attack a group of children who were playing in a crop fields. Zangel over there caused a distraction so that the kids could escape. . .”

Nanashi nodded at the explanation. “Well we were assigned to take care of a nuisance boar, and it was just luck that we stumbled over your son.”

So is the boar dead?” Nanashi shook his head.

No, just in a deep sleep. We were planning on delivering the boar to the nearest village. So that the boar's meet can be used instead of going to waste.” Zangel nodded at the answer given, his village would appreciate the gesture – not only that it would given them a sense of justice, eating the animal that has terrorized them.

I thank you for the gesture. The boar will not go to waste.” Nanashi nodded, watching the Zangel and some of the other men hog tied the animal, before sliding two sticks in between the tied legs – lifting the beast up and began to walk away with the mighty animal.

Turning his attention back to Alessi, he flickered out of existence to only appear beside her “I will let it slide that you forgot to check the boy for injuries. I will just assumed that you were still tired from waking up this morning.” With that said, Nanashi walked away from the woman, heading back to Iwagakure. It were up to Alessi if she would follow him. No matter if she did or didn't, the wind would carried his next words to her ear. . .

Maybe I should let the sleeping beauty sleep in for now on. . .”

Alessi seemed to stay quiet as Nanashi had the conversation with the villagers. Her main focus was on the boar. The fact that Nanashi was able to disable the boar with a single attack astounded her. It definitely got her thinking of chemical based jutsus. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad to learn a few from her Sensei. Watching as the villagers quickly carry the boar away, Alessi tried her best not to think of its fate. Although her Sensei assured her that the boar would be put to good use, she still couldn’t help but pity the boar.

With a small whimper, she slumped her head down and silently sighed. She messed up when not checking the boy for wounds. Being a medic, it should’ve been the first thing she should’ve done. With a small shoulder shrug she looked up at Nanashi. “Sorry… I’m just not thinking straight today…” There was a hint of sorrow in her voice. Alessi personally felt like she disappointed her Sensei by not doing what she was supposed to. Whatever the case was, all she wanted to do at this point would be go home and fall back asleep. Looking up, she noticed Nanashi was now walking back towards Iwa. With a small hop, she sped up to match herself up with Nanashi.

“Hey… I know I said I wasn’t really interested in the chemical based jutsus… but… what you did to that boar… I want to learn it.” She sounded rather serious about the thought. Alessi playfully bumped into Nanashi’s side as a way of getting his full attention, as well as annoying him a bit. Considering she was into the idea of chemicals now, she wondered what Nanashi might say on the topic
