Strafe Aisu

Strafe Aisu

D-rank
Strafe walked through the open field, smiling as he stared at the beautiful scene around him. It wasn't a particularly nice day in Kiri, but Strafe always enjoyed the weather in his home. It never got extremely hot, which made Strafe more than happy. He walked over to a soft spot of grass before setting his belongings to the side and laying on his back to rest. He needed something to do today, as Bonreu was busy. Maybe something unexpected could happen.

Seeing the pitch deep resounding colour of the forest of ice ans spears, she could not help but shudder. There was something wrong with this place... she could never put her finger on it, the last time she was here she had used Ki to attempt to escape, which had failed and only resulted in the loss of her chakra pool. Looking across the barren wastes she saw the man standing before her once again, covered in black except for his single blade. Solstice however, did not look worried this time, she felt her chakra resound through her body as her skin once again turned as black as obsidian. Her eyes leaked Hyoton chakra while her entire body was covered in chitinous scales made of harsh ice. Her legs became covered in it and ended in clawed taloned feet, while the ice covered her arms, but also separated from her at the elbows to extend into another two, slightly longer arms which would mimic her movements, ending in their own vicious bladed claws.

The man stared at her for a short time, before beginning to lean forward, further and further. This lean became the first step of a run, a charge which Solstice took two steps toward and met with a horrifying clash of blade against ice. Solstice's now spiked teeth covered in ice clenched as her strength was met by his in full form. Parrying the clash up, she stepped in and uppercut toward his chest with her other claw. Opening up a frenzy of blows toward his abdomen, but the man's blade came down, cutting deeply into the mound of ice as he swept his blade like a paint brush to and fro, keeping his assailant from his flesh before ducking one of Solstice's strikes. Solstice's eyes widened, this was bad! she already began throwing her weight back abd bending her knees forward to arch her entire body backward, keeping perfect axis and balance on her feet, not allowing her back to touch the ground.

His blade came through, stopping at neck height. Solstice planted one of her hands and kicked her legs from the ground up, propelling her into a one handed handstand to avoid decapitation, vaulting from her hand she too saved it from being severed as the man rounded off his strike. It took thee dodges but she finally held her advantage, in the air she rotated as the man pulled his sword back to stance, throwing out two kicks in mid air for the man, staggering him back. The man crashed into one of the Frozen trees, blood beginning to leak down from his chest as the dagger like branches penetrated his shoulder... Are you ready...? A voice emanated from the man, the shock was enough to wake her suddenly to her mother standing over her.

"Solstice, are you ready? You nee to go down to the shop now, and you have your big training today, don't you dare forget!" Solstice acknowledged in a mixture of freight, confusion, and acceptance, maybe her mother had simply woken her up prematurely, the dream did not get to play out like it usually did, but, it seemed this time she had, to some point, gained the upper hand against the man in the frozen tundra of crystalline trees. She stretched looking down at her underwear and laughed, noting that there was not a single mark of frostbite on per ghostly pale porcelain skin. Noting the soft white bumps of scar tissue where the others used to be. It was a good thing her mother sold medical supplies. But so much the better, Solstice got dressed in her usual attire, but not feeling the need to wear her mask over her face, instead clipping it to her belt.

Still wearing her long black coat, and her fuuma shuriken folded up and in a light leather sheath specifically made of it on her back. Her golden S rank gloved harnessed tightly around her fingers, the reinforced gold, titanium, chakra alloy plating and chain-mail fit her hands perfectly after some of the links were removed to Taylor to her hands specifically. Once her pants were on she was off, not bothering to wear a shirt under her coat, and rather just buttoning it up high so that her bra was not exposed, though her slender mid rift was bare in a somewhat fashionable statement. The mask bobbing up and down attached to her hip. Looking up and down the streets near the Aisu quarter of Kirigakure she saw what seemed to be Strafe, her cousin walking around in an open field not too far from their house. Beginning to build up a run, she found herself closing the gap between them rather quickly, before finally standing nearby, calling out as she got within yelling distance. Not slowing down until she reached him wrapping her arms around his neck in a friendly hello before pulling back.

Strafe, it's been some time hasn't it? She spoke lightly, though her eyes were bright, but burdened with responsibility, she was looking for a time to rest, from being the head of the Aisu clan. Such tasks were not easy ones. How have you been, I hope your training's up to scratch! She smiled, taking a few steps back to better look at him, judging whether or not he had gotten particularly stronger.

Given the time of day, Yuudai rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. Really, he shouldn't have taken that nap as it would eventually mess with his sleep for tonight, unless he tired himself out. The only way he could see that occurring was from some training, be it solo or with another person. Often times he wondered if it would be more beneficial to train with others rather than train by himself, as he was used to. His katana, which was propped up next to the exit of his room, seemed to almost draw him in, like a hypnotic gaze. A slight smile took place on his face, even though he had recently succeeded his previous expectation with the art of Iaijutsu, after training in unfavorable weather, he knew their was a lot more room to improve before he could even consider himself on the level of other swordsmen, particularly those that wound up with legendary swords. Obtaining such a weapon, while not a primary goal, would bring about feelings of worthiness to the purple haired jounin. After all, very few were deemed worthy of holding such prestigious weapons.

Getting up and out of bed, wearing only his boxers, Yuudai searched for the clothes he threw off roughly an hour ago. Thinking back, he knew he should have just placed them by his bedside, but the rush for wanting a few more minutes of sleep was tempting. Falling asleep in his clothes would have been a better option, but he could never fall asleep while wearing too many layers of clothing. Sometimes a pair of pants would be thrown in to the mix, but more often than not, just the bare minimums did the trick.

Finding his clothes on the floor by the open window, Yuudai looked outside to see if the weather provided adequate conditions for his training. And not to his surprise, the weather was how it was almost everyday in Kirigakure no Sato. Clouds and the mist that always seemed to surround the village. On rare occasions, the mist may not be present, but if asked he would always guess that the mist was present. Fully dressed, no different than usual, Yuudai was only missing one other thing before he could head out. His hair tie, which he took off prior to taking his nap, had the tendency to disappear and send him on a mini-search almost everyday. That reason alone was one that made him want to cut his hair short. He didn't really know why he kept his hair at its current length, though his mother often told him she liked the way he kept his hair. Checking under his pillow, which he should have done in the first place, Yuudai located the missing item - his hair tie.

With fluid motions, Yuudai quickly moved from the window to the door. Grabbing the hilt of his sheathed katana, he tucked it in between his sash and body, stabilizing it for the journey to his usual training location - the forgotten well. He knew his ninjutsu skill would suffice him for a while longer, though his array of jutsus would need to be vastly expanded. But that was not Yuudai's main concern for the moment. Rather, he wanted - needed - to improve his kenjutsu skills. Dealing with enemies from a far he could handle, but up close there was a lot of room to improve.

Reaching the area of the forgotten well, he could spot two figures that were relatively close together. Had he known others would be here, he would have chosen an alternate location - probably the swamp - though he supposed he may as well stick around for a bit, after all he wasn't exactly hiding his presence from them. Getting closer to the two individuals, Yuudai could make out who they were. Strafe, who he had met from a trip to the steam baths, and Solstice, his former teammate on the Heavy Assault Squad. Due to them also being clansmen, Yuudai felt more comfortable staying around here. Stepping closer, he chose to speak up, as a friendly hello would probably be obligatory. "Hello Solstice, Strafe. How have you two been?" He was not aware that the two knew each other, given how Solstice had latched on to Strafe, but they were all apart of the same clan, so it was inevitable to eventually know one another.

Strafe sat their happily, thinking of nothing but the amazing things that had happened to him recently. He was promoted not to Chunnin, but directly to Special Jounin. If that wasn't enough, he managed to find an extremely rare companion, Mamoru. Most would call his friend a pet, but that is far from the truth. Mamoru was someone Strafe had completely trust in, and would give his life for easily. Despite the fact that they had just recently met, Mamoru was already family as far as Strafe was concerned. Strafe smiled warmly as he snapped out of his thoughts, chuckling a bit.

He decided to stop being lazy and slowly stood up from his resting place, brushing off his clothes as he did so. He didn't really want to get up, but he didn't need to sit there, especially when he was wearing mostly white. His white shirt was pretty basic, save for the large Aisu symbol on his chest. His blue ninja pants accented the blue symbol well, making it seem as if Strafe had actually planned to where the two pieces of clothing together. He didn't, everything in his closet just matched.

He suddenly heard a yell, which immediately registered as a friendly call versus an angry screm. He turn with a curious look only to see Solstice darting towards him with increasing speeds. He smiled at her, waving with his right arm. He hadn't seen her in quite some time, so it was nice to see a familar face, especially if it was the clan head. She then made it to Strafe, giving him a firm hug before stepping back. "It has been quite a while." He said smiling genuinely as he also took note of her looks. His eyes immediately stared at the unique glove she wore on her hand. "Me too!" He said jokingly as his eyes met hers once again.

He really liked having her as a clan head. She was kind, but strong and expected the same out of all of her clan members. Something the last clan head lacked severely. Just as Strafe was about to speak, he suddenly became aware of someone else in the immediate area. His eyes darted to the right, raising an eyebrow as they did so. He was pleasently surprised to see another clansmen of his, Yuudai. While he hadn't known him as long, he seemed like a nice enough person. He did remember their first meeting being a bit awkward with Isamu running back and forth between them, but it wasn't terrible.

"Good! How about you?" Strafe offered with a warm grin towards the man. He and the man in front of him were actually supposed to spar in the near future, but Strafe pushed that thought from his mind. He didn't want to be sizing up Yuudai like some sort of competition. It was just going to be a friendly spar, nothing more. "It's weird seeing so many Aisu's at the well." He said laughing at the coincidence. Maybe they could use this opportunity to get to know each other a little more, as they were the three strongest members of their clan.

Aisu Clan Head, the though had just registered in her mind as she saw the other two appear in the same area, a small group hug was shared between her and her kind as they stood in greeting having not really been together for some time, she looked to Strafe's vestments, he wasn't wearing his Jounin jacket, though she had heard of his recent promotion to the rank of Sp. Jounin, it was one of the things she had felt a hint of pride in as the news had crossed her desk. Her eyes traced between one of the two people and the other as she took a few steps back so she could have them both in her field of vision at once. The two of them looked a little stronger since she last saw them. The three Hyoton users, even being in their presence made solstice feel the imbalance of the chakra begin to switch as the ice in her veins began to pump harder and faster, her eye's beginning to flicker and resonate.

Well, it's great to see the two of you, you look a lot stronger since the last time i saw you. Hell, who knows, we could be looking at the first Sannin in the history of the land whom all heralded from the same clan! She said with a laugh, though she was being completely serious. It was becoming more and more likely that something like this would happen, and would she be in a position of leadership or even Sannin, who would be better people to trust other than two people from her own clan, and family. The thought broadened Solstice's smile somewhat. Interlacing her fingers and stretching them upwards she looked to either of them, somewhat glad neither of them looked at her any differently now that she was the leader of their clan. It was a good feeling to just be able to exist, or ascend in the ranks knowing that the people close to you would not see you differently.

Though, I've been feeling myself getting sluggish lately, with all the paper work I've been doing, I havn't been able to keep up with my training, I'm falling behind, and it sucks... dont EVER let me take the position of Kage... EVER! Though, with all the writing time I managed to have some rather interesting Jutsu written out that i've been developing, but as it stands they would put too much stress on my body, thus, need more training... Taking out a scroll she'd been writing on were the forms and variations for a chakra flow technique in the making. A variant on the snow dragon justsu, but maintainable and through the use of chakra flow rather than using it as a simple justu. But, that being said y'know, I've been having this idea recently about this justsu, and other Hyoton jutsu, Chakra flow makes a really nice bridge to be able to control and maintain Hyoton Ninjutsu, just in the nature of the element itself, and how chakra flow works, if we were trying to use them for supplementary purposes. Ice being so static and strong, its a wonder Aisu haven't made Jutsu like these before... Jutsu like these could be combined... To devastating efffect, could you imagine?

She said with an amount of wonder turning her practise scroll she had written back to face her... Looking at the other two, and then the scroll. She threw it to the two of them. A mischievous smile on her face. Well, future Sannin of Kirigakure, and fellow clan members, seems like we have a Jutsu to develop, but, first things first, I don't think any of us are up to par with what we would need to be able to do to maintain such a massive sum of Hyoton chakra. So, I think it's about time for some training, don't you two? Solstice had an astounding image in her head, a Jutsu capable of bringing down any one opponent or even three, and only one person needed to control it... letting the other two roam free, and use the Jutsu at their own will as an expansive moving obstacle moving only in their favour. Though Solstice did not particularly mind how they trained, so long as they did. this thought, this dream was a long way away from now.

She'd let the other two think of means to train, a spar was not always the best way for others especially if physically fighting was not their forte', but there were other ways to train. Solstice's broad smile fade to a reserved smirk. Exhaling lightly as the frigid air from her lungs escaped her throat and mouth, mixing with the warmer air around her creating a small plume of cooled fog. Her mind was already calculating statistical chances of certain options, though she remembered Strafe was not particularly a fighter, and doubted he would want just a straight forward fight to test their skills. Solstice had been waiting on actually being able to train with some of her clan for a while, though she had not expected it would be these two, she was not disappointed, after all, she was looking for some people to champion her, should she ever be missing in action.

Yuudai

He found it odd that three people would be visiting the forgotten well, adding in that all three of them were a part of the Aisu clan of Kirigakure no Sato added to this peculiar meeting. He had only met Strafe once, in a situation that was fairly awkward, but could have been worse if one individual got what they had wanted. They still had that promised spar that would occur one day. As far as he could remember, he hadn't seen or heard of Solstice ever since their meeting in their first squad, Squad 3 - the Heavy Assault Squad. He had no idea how much powerful she was then the first time they had met, but clearly she had improved - her title as clan head just adding to the fact - probably more-so than Yuudai had.

Strafe, who he barely knew, Yuudai couldn't tell how powerful he was as a shinobi, though if he remembered, the boy was a Special Jounin. Solstice was probably a Jounin, the same as himself. Ranks were just that, ranks. One couldn't tell the true prowess of another based on titles alone, as other factors would play a role. Though an initial judgement, based off of rank, never hurt as it would determine the capabilities one possessed. Other titles, such as Clan Head, Yuudai never cared much for as they added on responsibilities that he would rather avoid, so he was glad he wasn't in Solstice's position. His dislike for paperwork also aided in wanting to avoid being in a responsible position that dealt with a lot of paperwork. Yuudai was also glad that she got the position - not due to his disposition on paperwork - because she was better suited, based on her new outlook and personality, than himself.

When Solstice began to speak, jumping from subject to subject, Yuudai couldn't help but listen. He had no idea how close they were related, nor had he any siblings, but he felt she was like the older sibling he never had before. As she began to ramble about becoming Sannin, Yuudai felt mildly interested in the idea. The concept of having 3 Sannin, all from the same village, may not bode well with the rest of the village, as the might feel the positions were monopolized, it did seem intriguing nonetheless. Being the three strongest shinobi in the village and all hailing from the same clan would certainly be a feat that would be difficult to achieve, but not impossible.

Solstice's complaining about paperwork he could relate to, as Yuudai never really felt inclined to doing it. Paperwork just wasn't his thing. He had no clue what he was suited towards, but most things involving paperwork were automatically ruled out, including Kage. The position itself, while prestigious, was much too influential and contained too many responsibilities for Yuudai's taste. He could understand why she even went as far as to state not allowing her to take the position of Kage, though he certainly would not stand in her way if it ever occurred. Influencing others decision was something Yuudai avoided to do, regret would surface if he helped make the wrong choice.

When she had finished speaking about the jutsus that supposedly worked as one, Yuudai knew that he would be involved. After all, three of the strongest Aisu clansmen were here, and there were only three of them here. He knew he would have to eventually learn the technique she was speaking of, but for now his main focus was not on ninjutsu or enhancing his relations with the suiton element, but rather focusing on kenjutsu. His current repertoire would last, but his kenjutsu skills were still lacking as far as he was concerned. Already claiming the titles of future Sannin seemed a little bit farfetch'd to Yuudai, as he felt he was no where near the level he should be to even consider being one of the strongest within the village. "As much as I would want to learn the jutsu you speak of, I have a long way to go before I can even consider looking at the scrolls, or even hearing about the concept. Besides, I feel there are other things to improve on, besides Hyouton alone." As he stated the last part, he looked down towards his katana. If anything, he needed ways to not only attack and defend, but counter attack as well. That's where kenjutsu - Iaijutsu - would fill the void. Being able to attack was one thing, but not being able to defend yourself would lead one towards their own end.

Strafe stood very casually as Solstice began to speak on the negatives that came with being Clan Head of the Aisu. He really didn't mind paperwork, but the responsibility was a big one that he wasn't sure he could handle. He was glad to have his cousin, Solstice, to do that task and lead his clan, as she was very capable of doing so. He chuckled slightly at the comment about being Kage. He would never stop a friend from acquiring such a position and she might feel differently if the opportunity ever arose. You never know how someone will react until they are faced with the situation.

Solstice then began to speak of a new jutsu which bridged the Hyouton techniques together with Chakra Flow to a very power effect. The jutsu in it's self wasn't that complicated, but the execution of said justu amoung three different people was another story. Strafe felt very similar to Yuudai in the fact that he wasn't even close to being strong enough to attempt that technique. He needed a bit more practice before attempting something like that. "I have to agree with Yuudai in the sense that I'm far from ready to attempt anything of that level, though I'm always ready to train." He said smiling towards Solstice as he nodded to Yuudai.

His mind then slowly focused on a word that Solstice had used quite often during her statements. Sannin. That was something Strafe had looked forward too for a very long time. He had always dreamed of becoming a great Sannin, but always saw himself doing so via the use of Medical Ninjutsu. He never thought of being able to use regular Ninjutsu of that level, but wasn't scared in the least. In a sense, hearing her words only made his desire to become Sannin that much stronger. "While I'm only a Special Jounin, I'm absolutely ready to train with you two until we are the three strongest ninja." He said with a new sound of determination in his voice. "It may look like it's a distant dream, but it could very well happen." He said as a bit of encouragement towards Yuudai, who seemed a bit skeptical to say the least.

"This training with my Hyouton chakra might actually give me a few ideas for medical jutsu of my own." He said smiling as he thought of the many possibilities that were before him. One day, he might even be able to do the impossible with his own jutsu. The sky was the limit and he knew that very well. "I know I'm not the biggest fighter amoung us, that much is obvious, but I'm willing to be taught if you two will be willing to have me as training partners." He said respectfully. While he didn't feel inferior to the two, they both out ranked him. Not to mention that one of them was the clan head, so respect was key.

Solstice looked to the other two, their responses seemed symmetrical in the fact they all need more training, Solstice had a habit of her imaginative and calculating mind running away from her in such a way that far of dreams began to feel like short term goals. Looking to the scroll she'd handed over she held out her hand and insinuated for him to hold onto it should he attempt to hand the manuscript back to her, she had all the information locked well in her mind when it came to that specific jutsu, the idea of the hyouton dragon jutsu was an interesting one, there was a known skill in the land of snow, but aside from her study into the rare crystal release clan, there was nothing like what she was thinking of. Her eyes had not stopped studying the two of them, one wanted to train kenjutsu, the other wanted to train Fuuton. Though it wasn't sparring, Solstice had an idea about the kind of training they could do, though it was a little bit dangerous.

Unfortunately three people is a very difficult group of people to attempt to train at the same time should we want to without focusing on physically fighting each other. Though, that being said, the idea of training to defeat multiple opponents in a situation where three parties all attempt to win, is a strategic matter which I feel none of us have trained much. I'm suggesting a three way spar, in a situation like that, it's not necessarily the strongest person who wins, Though strength does play a part. I haven't had a good stretch, and after this I think we can perhaps do some more informal training. She said looking to either of them, in lieu of other things to do, but in a spar like this there needed to be a few little ground rules put in place. They had a slightly disadvantaged member in their group, though only slightly, it would be enough to cause somewhat of a disadvantage should the two of them attempt to focus him down. Which was not ideal.

Solstice looked to the others awaiting approval seeing as how neither of them gave any inclination toward a means of their training, Solstice's forced leader status took control and lead her to attempt to generate a practical scenario which they would all be able to play a practical part of. The only other option in her mind would be to actively take on a mission with the other members of the group without promise of payment, instead for the sole purpose of their training, there were several missions the Aisu were in charge of in lieu of the Mizukage being away, one of which was organising the reconnaissance missions which monitored what happened in the outer areas of the Kirigakure, most of which were met with danger on a day to day basis, especially when the likes of the Kage was no longer in the country as many criminals saw it as an opportunity with the country being weak without its only double S rank ninja.

The other foreseeable option is for me to quickly run to my desk, scramble through some papers for jobs which desperately need allocation and we could use the experience as training. As much as it would be working for very little pay, it would be helping the country as well as furthering to improve our skills. The missions will no doubt be assorted and paid out should they need to be, but it poses an alternative to sparring should either of you feel uncomfortable with the thought of attacking each other as hard as we can to test ourselves. She said more inclined to be referring to Strafe, who to her mind was in the practise of saving life, and not training to condemn it. Solstice was one of the Aisu clan who took a exponential amount of pride in her ability as a fighter. While she waited for the opinions of the other two she actually began to stretch. putting both of her arms behind her back one over her shoulders and the other up, she met her own hands in the middle with ease, stretching past and putting her hands on either of her elbows at an insane angle.

Releasing and expanding her arms out in either direction she repeated the process in mirror. swapping which arm went over and which went under, as she stretched outward again she rolled her wrists and neck. Lifting one of her legs up she gripped her ankle and forcing her body into a near perfect vertical split, and repeated this with the other leg, bending and limbering up her knees as she did so. Solstice's use of strange Taijutsu almost completely depended on her being flexible and able to move in almost impossible ways to avoid offensive techniques at a moment's notice, but her peripheral vision never left the other two as she performed her few small exercises.

Pulling his katana out of the sheathe, more so for getting accustomed to the motion, Yuudai examined the blade, but still listened when either Solstice or Strafe spoke. The blade still had a new look to it, as he hadn't used it in combat, yet. The only times he had taken his katana out, so far, had been his previous training session in the same location as he was standing today, except that day took a curious turn of events, though he couldn't say if he was pleased or not as of yet. That, however, was a matter for another day, for today his goal was to train. Kenjutsu definitely and possibly enhance his own potential with Suiton as well. Though kenjutsu was his main priority for now. The blade of Yuudai's katana's blade still gleamed, the sheathe still seemed relatively brand new, but the hilt of the katana showed signs of being used. The katana could still be passed off as new with the care Yuudai had with it, but with closer inspection, one could easily tell it had been used.

The idea of sparring, not with another person, but with two other people certainly had its appeal. It would certainly help in combat situations where there is more than one enemy. Sparring with a single partner certainly had its benefits. In one on one spars, it would be easier to focus on technique and form, but those results could also be accomplished through solo training, without the atmosphere that a spar brings. Even with a 3 person spar, there would always be something lacking compared to combat that would take place when on missions. The absence of killing intent would always change the tide of the battle and how one would react. In a spar, there would only be the reaction, yet would not play out the same as in the outside world. For that, Yuudai knew he would prefer spars over actual combat given the results that would eventually come about.

He tried to listen to what Strafe and Solstice spoke of, but heard bits and pieces, but was able to piece together of what was spoken. "A three way spar would probably be more beneficial than one on one spars. Besides, with an extra person we'd each have to be cautious of the third person. It'll be more of a game of wits along with strength." Not one to speak much, Yuudai spoke without much else to go on. Stating what he felt of the situation was more than enough at this point. Even if one was a clansmen and the other the clan leader, he really didn't know them too well to feel completely comfortable.

When Solstice began speaking of prospective missions, Yuudai knew he would be hesitant to accept, if what he thought the details were to be true. The violent aspects of being a shinobi, while he had no qualm about the nature of missions, he would always falter when it came to killing. Yuudai knew he was more than capable of taking lives, but it was something he always chose to avoid if possible. When he voiced his opinion about taking prospective missions, the weariness was in his voice, "A mission would be... acceptable. Though we could have the option of having both. Spar today and a mission tomorrow or another day. Besides, I think we would not intentiionally want to harm one another in a spar. If my katana is the issue, I guaruntee you there will only be, at most, shallow cuts. A medical ninja would easily take care of those if need be." Yuudai hadn't learned many jutsus as of yet, but the ones he knew weren't too dangerous to use within a spar.

Resheathing his katana, Yuudai kept his left hand gripped on the hilt on the katana. Walking off a bit to the side and facing away from Solstice and Strafe, Yuudai would begin to train his kenjutsu regardless, and for now he needed to loosen up, especially getting more in tune with the motions required for Iaijutsu. Taking a breath, his grip tightening ever so slightly, Yuudai's arm fluidly moved in front of him, the katana blade beginning to gleam in the sunlight as it escaped the confines of it's sheathe, and the swish sound of the katana cutting through the air in front of Yuudai concluded the attacking portion of his kenjutsu. There wasn't much to be fancy with when concerning iaijutsu, but it was efficient and freed up his hands on occasions to preform hand seals for jutsus. Gracefully, and without much looking, Yuudai was able to resheathe his katana back to its confines.

Strafe's eyes narrowed as he continued to listen to Solstice's words. On one hand, a three way spar between himself and these two would be very beneficial. On the other hand, he might be more impressive and useful in a mission setting, though he doubted either of these two would be injured in combat. The decision that lied before him was quite difficult, as he had mixed feelings about both choices. He wasn't particularly opposed to either choice though, as both were a very common part of the life of a shinobi.

At that moment, another fact popped into Strafe's mind that made Strafe grin slightly before immediately returning to his normal warm expression. Something these two did not know is that Strafe was particularly gifted in strategy. It was one of the main reasons why he was able to rank up so easily at such an early age. Add that to the fact that he had several jutsu that needed to be trained, and the spar sounded more and more like a good idea to the young man.

It was decided then. The weather in Kirigakure changed slightly as a slight breeze crossed Strafe's body. This was just a symbol of the level of skill that would be required during this spar, but Strafe was more than ready for such a task. "I am not opposed to either option. However, I think training via sparring might be more beneficial to me at the moment than a simple mission." He said very confidently as he slowly prepared himself mentally for combat. Mistakes would not be rewarded in this situation, so he needed to be prepared.

He then noticed Solstice's stretching, as he was just now coming out of deep thought. The angles and ways she stretched showed just how unique and dangerous her skills were in Taijutsu. She would be an opponent to keep an eye on for sure. Not to mention her being Clan Head, so her Fuuton and Hyouton must be of a very exceptional level. His eyes then moved to Yuudai, who was doing simple movements with his katana. While he had never seen Yuudai's abilities in person, he was sure he could use observation to figure out what skills he has.

He obviously used Kenjutsu, as he eyed the Katana that looked to be simple, but quite deadly when it needed to be. He was also a member of the Aisu, so he obviously had skill in Suiton, Fuuton, and Hyouton. He was guessing another area of skill would be in Ninjutsu, as most Aisu members took that path in their Shinobi training, though not all. Solstice was proof of that as her Chakra Flow was quite impressive, or so Strafe was told by comrades who had battled alongside her. Strafe then decided to a few simple stretches, making sure to work on his legs. Dodging and Defending were what Strafe excelled in, so he needed to be limber in order to perform at his maximum ability.

Solstice cracked a small smile before they had chosen to spar three on three around the old forgotten well, which, more and more was seeming to become a casual meeting place, and therefore may be in need of a slight name change in the near future. But such was a decision for a later time. Looking to the others, it seemed the two of them were okay with the thought of the spar, though she had offered the mission as an alternative to the medical ninja, thinking that he would be at a disadvantage in this scenario, but Strafe seemed to have more of an underdog complex than she would have once thought. Which she admired. Solstice had quickly come to the conclusion it would be a bad idea to use the full potential of some of her own ice techniques, the frostbite was the cause of almost 80 percent of the scars over her body and namely a few which were slightly new.

Taking in a deep breath, she exhaled as the cold air from her lungs escaped, solstice was pushing the balance of the Hyoton chakra within her to dangerous levels. Levels which would be able to cause herself substantial harm should her concentration be obstructed by an outside force. Solstice's skin began to plume with vapour like dry ice in the open air as she raised her arms out to her sides then high above her head. Pointing her hands toward each other and bring them down in front of her as she exhaled one more time until her hands were level with her core. Clenching her fists she swung her right leg back and braced, coiling for a rapid attack or defence should she need to go either way. Solstice needed to think about her advance, taking a couple of crucial moments she devised a small plan.

It seems we're settled then, we'll spar, and it's good that one of the people participating are a medical ninja, just in case there is an injury. Though that being said, we should try and cap how much damage we could inflict on each other, so i agree with you there Yuudai. One hundred percent, though at the same time, I don't want anyone here to think that means to go easy on each other. we learn nothing if we aren't simulating fighting for our own very lives. So, let's take this seriously. Or else there is no point...

Solstice spoke heavily, hoping to impact them with her words, waiting for a long count of four before exploding into movement. She attacked the swordsman, who by now would have had ample time to prepare himself for the attack. Halfway to him she coiled her fist and with a tremendous sum of force she intended to instigate direct combat. Planting her foot on the ground little less than an arms length away she stomped, sending out a ripple of force as her fist simultaneously bulleted forward for the centre of his mass and solar plexus. The closed fisted nature of the god fist technique was the reverse of the gentle fist technique of the Hyuga clan. Where they would target and eliminate precise locations on their opponent's body, god fist would simply rip everything apart and assume its target was within the wreckage.

Hit or miss Solstice would quickly collapse her back leg and crouch low as her body weight would spin downward, extending a leg and flattening her foot she would follow up with a strike at her opponent's ankles strong enough to potentially break his foot on impact and throw his bodyweight out from under him. Solstice touching the ground beneath her caused the area to begin to freeze with her movements. The touch of her skin spreading ice a few inches outward, and as her foot arched across the ground toward its target half grinding along the side of the ground a trail of pristinely frozen moisture followed tightly in tow. Solstice was ready to follow up her attacks, but the real danger was his blade, he did not have to risk limb to strike at her, but she needed to instigate the battle, and doing so she was solely intending to draw out his strikes.

A Taijutsu user fighting a user with a deadly weapon needed to fight on the counter offensive, around their weapon, for that to happen she needed to determine the intended course of the blade, which would be to coax him into counter attacking. Once she had a feel for where his sword would be swinging, she would be able to co-ordinate her movements, dodges, attacks and jutsu in such a way she would coldly and systematically shut down his entire martial art on a calculated and almost machinelike level. But then there was the underdog... there was a high chance that with his involvement, her entire plan unravelled and became simply impossible... she needed to think up a contingency plan, how to fight two people at once, it would be almost impossible to play the two of them against each other, so for now until she could come up with a much more plausible plan, she would stick to her skills in attempting to shut down what she determined as the much stronger and more immediate threat.

Should Solstice's two strikes connect harshly, her punch would wind him, while the cold damage from the freezer burn over his solar plexus would make his breathing rigid and more difficult to breath without inflicting more pain on himself for a short while. The blow itself would knock his opponent back as her leg moments later would come crashing around and throw his body off balance. if she connected she would follow through in order to knock his entire bodyweight out from underneath him which would open her up to attacking the other member of the group ferociously, and probably with the use of her fuuma shuriken, but such was only speculation at this point...

Yuudai

Yuudai

D-rank
Fixed in to loosening up, but still being aware of his surroundings, Yuudai was able to pick up the motion from Solstice as soon as she launched herself at him. Her words, prior to her attack, were exactly how he felt. Just because he held a dangerous weapon, he knew they would be skilled enough to dodge it with the right timing and precision. His own capabilities were limited as well. He knew he'd have to rely more upon tactics than his speed and strength. His jutsu repertoire still needed severe work, so he had limited options to work with. At least he wouldn't have to worry about the using his jutsu so they would not cause massive amounts of damage.

Sheathing away his katana, he quickly turned to face the direction Solstice was coming from. Attempting to process all the information he could, Yuudai tried to find the best way out of the situation. As far as he knew, he needed to create a gap between himself and Solstice. Her specialization in Taijutsu would easily give her the advantage if he were to somehow lose access to his katana. His own fighting style in kenjutsu, Iaijutsu revolved mainly around the counterattack. To draw his sword and slash. It would be a hit or miss counterattack. If he missed, there could very well be a split second opening for Solstice to counter. Yuudai liked to call his style as unique, as he did not know of many who used their left hand for iaijutsu. As shinobi, being ambidextrous would help out greatly. Statistically, most individuals would be right-handed, and with his left hand wielding the blade, Yuudai could, ideally, force an opponents attack to stop, if it came in from his left side - them using the right side of their body.

The possibility of attacking with his katana seemed like the easy route to go with. With Solstice already charging at him, he could easily pull off a C or D rank technique in the nick of time. Not having much time to analyze the situation, Yuudai went for what he believed to be the fail safe route. The only advantage Yuudai had was his reach. The length of his arms and the addition of the katana would easily create a gap between him and his opponent, Solstice in this case. The easiest route would be the katana, exactly what he felt was being lured out, but something he could risk. Left hand on the hilt of the katana, quickly drawing out the blade, Yuudai aimed the direction of the strike directly at the fist coming towards him. It would force Solstice to either take the hit or completely choose to withdraw the fist. Besides, he wanted the direction of combat to change. This was clearly a free for all, and here was Solstice initializing it as a one on one spar, though someone needed to start off.

As he saw Solstice begin to lower her center of gravity, Yuudai could already anticipate the next blow. It was easy to tell a low kick was incoming, though her speed was quick. He felt her distance would be off due to the added length of his katana, unless that was completely forgone. Choosing to jump up and backwards instantaneously, Yuudai was barely able to avoid the leg sweep. The creation of a gap was what he clearly needed. His style relied was more suited to long range and gap closing on his own will.

This situation called for some strategics. He could not begin to unleash his jutsus all at Solstice as he still had Strafe to worry about as well. The same could be said for Strafe, but he did not know the boy's capabilities. Thus he would be placed at a disadvantage in anyway. He needed to keep some distance for now and analyze their capabilities. As far as he knew, Solstice was still more suited towards close quarters combat, thus more distance may work to his advantage. Though Strafe, he did not no much, but could tell combat wasn't his specialty. The gap he maintained had to remain for the moment. And Strafe, who had yet to move, was the clear wildcard in this to Yuudai.

Strafe's stance went immediately to one of defense once Solstice spoke up, going through a little pep talk before the spar began. He half listened to her words, as they were things that Strafe had already thought about previously. His mind went directly to the thought of strategy. He knew of Solstice's Taijutsu and Chakra Flow combination that renown among his clan. She was not one to be taken lightly. Concerning Yuudai's weapon and his talk of focusing in other areas, he was obviously focusing primarily on his Kenjutsu.

Immediately, Strafe's mind went to playing a game of distance against the two fighters who seemed to favor close quarters fighting, though he wasn't sure about Yuudai's other abilities. Strafe's thoughts were interrupted by a flash of movement by Solstice, who launched herself at Yuudai, initiating the spar without hesitation. Her first attack simply used basic taijutsu with the addition of her chakra flow technique. His face smirked a bit as her weight shifted and she immediately went for the leg sweep as a follow up.

Yuudai's reactions were equally as efficient as he simply used his sword to counter the punch while simply jumping to counter the sweep. The perfect opportunity arose for Strafe to enter the fight at that moment. His mind immediately went to a single jutsu as hand-signs formed smoothly, but quickly as he began molding chakra in his chest in preparation for the next jutsu. "Ice Style: Ice Darts" Was the only words heard as his mouth opened, releasing the attack.

12 darts were consecutively shot out of his mouth, white in color and narrow in shape. Six were released first in the direction of Yuudai, hoping to catch him in mid-air. They would be hard to dodge, despite being a jutsu that wasn't that powerful. The last six were shot in the area of Solstice, hoping to keep her on her toes, while also keeping the distance between the two. He wanted to be sure she didn't try to use her taijutsu on him, as that was not an ideal situation. His stance immediately returned to his original pose, ready for defensive maneuvers on an instants notice.

His hand quickly moved to his pouch on his leg, reaching for a simple kunai for his use. He looked to the ground about ten meters away on his right side, immediately releasing the weapon from his hand. It zoomed swiftly through the air, hitting the ground sternly in preparation for the future. He needed a back up plan in case they found a way through his defensive techniques. The Substitution Jutsu was an easy and efficient way to do just that. His eyes then returned to his opponents, immediately watching each of them carefully as he prepared himself for what would be an intense spar.

Solstice smiled as the man's blade flashed through the air and connected with her fist, the momentum of the blade connected with her knuckle as the surface of the blade began to develop a layer of ice creeping up the length of the blade in small tendrils and ice patterns. The blade did not penetrate her gauntlets, or even leave a mark as her momentum was forcibly changed as she dropped her weight, the force of his katana had created an axis her body could not ignore her leg sweep swung much higher, but as he had leapt back the kick glided inches away from his temple as his force had sped her up. But to no avail, she missed and he was retreating, it was only then did she see the blades whipping through the air toward them, six in total all of them thinly spaced together like a light shotgun blast, they were fast, perhaps too fast for Solstace to avoid. Her gauntlets lit up shimmering gold as she extended her hands, with her spin for a moment it seemed the Ice darts were going to penetrate her arm, her shoulders, and even possibly her neck, until the palm of her and literally came to slap the side of the needles.

The reaction would be spectacular, the power of the gauntlets and the aura of the gloves maintained the ice darts, though weakening them slightly they were deflected in the direction of Yuudai's upper body, and would impact just over a second after the first ones would. However not everything went noticed by the demon ice witch, she did not see the kunai placed on the ground, thinking of another plan in spite of this she rushed to follow up on Yuudai, Strafe was too far away, but that was something which could be changed... Planting her foot and only now ending her spin she channeled her momentum into a forward sprint, bolting faster and faster, yet to be shut down. Reaching behind her she gripped her Finely made Fuuma shuriken which quickly frosted over with the deadly ice chakra flow technique.

As Solstace almost got within his sword range she threw her momentum to the outside on his left, further away from strafe and hopefully unbeknown to them lining the two of them up with each other. Rolling up from the dive and spinning with the blade now in her hand like a discuss she threw all of her might and momentum into the spinning wind mill blade. Rocketing for Yuudai the B rank blade combined with her A rank Taijutsu created a colossal force as solstice calculated her next move. She thought about her fights with the mysterious bladed man in her dreams, so, in a sense she had fought Kenjutsu users before, but she neeed to get him on the offensive if she was going to attempt to win. Solstice could feel the cold of that world reverberating in her jutsu, but this fight was still young, she had aimed her B rank Fuuma shuriken for Strafe, AND Yuudai, but they would have no idea.

Solstice assumed Yuudai would dodge such a telegraphed attack, so she ducked low forming a hand symbol to end the ful extend of the attack, substituting with the spinning blade should it reach near Strafe to close the gap. The spinning blade would then be replaced where she once was, travelling in the same direction, therefore attacking Yuudai for a second time, but much lower at around knee height. Soltice in her cloud of smoke would poof high near Strafe where the spinning blade once was and aim a punch down for the poor boys chest.

(In summary, spinning deflects darts at yuudai with glove effect and chases them up, just before reaching dives to a side and throws fuuma shuriken for both of you in a line expecting yuudai to dodge and crouches in preparation, as the blade gets close to Strafe she substitutes with it, punching down for strafe instead of the blade hitting, and the blade appears where Solstice was so is spinning for where Yuudai's legs would be, assuming he only ducked the blade.)

So this was how it was going to be. From what he could see, Yuudai knew he would have to focus more upon defense before he could begin to counter attack. With his katana grabbed by the hand of Solstice, and the ice that began to cover it, he knew he would have to somehow get Solstice's attention off of him and on to Strafe if he wanted to gather more information before developing a plan. It was obvious that she was ahead of him in terms of preparations, as it seemed she had a direct counter to his primary choice of fighting style.

As he saw darts of ice coming towards him, six of them to be exact, followed by another six darts, he knew he would have to fall back completely. There was just too many attacks being focused on him. It was hard enough having to deal with a fellow jounin, especially for Yuudai, but another person added in to the mix certainly was proving to have him thinking and moving at all times. At this particular moment, he knew he wouldn't be able to dodge the darts, but he could easily have a specific body part targeted. Turning his body to the left, the first six darts certainly caused pain, the following six weren't as painful compared the the first, thus would not hinder him too much. He then noticed Solstice coming right after the darts, and he attempted to anticipate the incoming attack, as he landed on the ground.

A fuuma shuriken, one that he felt he had to dodge, yet still remain weary of. Already hitting the ground, Yuudai pushed off with one foot to launch himself out of the trajectory of the blade and Solstice as well and locating himself in what could be consider one of the shorter angles in a right triangle. As he noticed the substitution jutsu, the fuuma shuriken was right where Yuudai was once located, at the vertex of the right angle, and the shuriken would follow up, right behind Solstice attack.

As he was off to the side, Yuudai forced his katana back in to the sheathe, taking off some ice, yet still having a rather thin layer remaining there. He thought back to the first time he met Solstice and felt her odd hyouton chakra, it felt different than the one he was used to, the one circulating within his own system. For now Yuudai would sit back, he just needed to see a bit more before he felt that he could successfully get a blow in.

Strafe was impressed with the speed of their clan head. She was proving to be quite efficient in battle, not only effectively defending herself from Strafe's attack, but also counter attacking the same move without the use of chakra. He would have to watch that glove in the future, as it could very well have other abilities. Yuudai on the other hand was not so lucky. His face showed slight pain as both sets of needles hit him. Strafe would be sure to heal that when the spar came to an end. His main focus needed to be elsewhere, as he turned his gaze back to Solstice. She immediately started attacking once again, this time in a very unique way. She threw a large sized shuriken at Yuudai, who dodge it with ease.

What Strafe didn't realize was that the shuriken had two targets. The ice that covered it gleamed in the sunlight as it rushed towards Strafe. He showed no signs of fear though, as the attack was simple and easily taken care of, or so he thought. Suddenly, the shuriken was replaced by a large cloud of smoke. This was a jutsu that Strafe was more than familiar with. Only a moment later, the smoke cleared to reveal Solstice herself, who was sending a strong punch towards Strafe's torso. Luckily, Strafe had planned for such an occasion, giving a small grin as the attack seemingly landed on its target. However, a similar cloud of smoke soon appeared where Strafe was, leaving only a kunai in his place. Strafe was suddenly on the other side of her about ten meters away and ready to attack.

He knew that none of his attacks had enough power to do much too her, but he relied on the third person of this fight to take action at such an ideal time. He threw his hand up in front of him, aimed at his temporary opponent. A disk of ice quickly appeared in front of him and shot at incredible speeds toward Sostice. This attack would be much harder to use to her advantage because of the speed in which it traveled. However, Strafe wasn't done yet. He took a leap in the air directly over Solstice, throwing another kunai as he did so. He was going to make sure she had multiple attacks to worry about. This was also an opportunity to learn more about her glove and it's abilities.

Strafe then looked back Yuudai, who was a good distance away from him. Hopefully he would realize the level of ability that their opponent had and would use this as a chance to strike. It was about time for Strafe to take a second to gather his thoughts and figure out more strategy, as he wasn't good with fighting multiple opponents. Times like this were when he wished he brought Momaru, his main source of offense in battle. He could dwell on such thoughts though and needed to focus on the situation at hand. One thing was for certain. Letting Solstice get in close combat range against him was a very bad idea. That would end in pain for Strafe. He needed to keep his distance from her and keep her busy. Yuudai seemed like he was newer to Kenjutsu and would be easier to deal with at that range. However, he still hadn't seen any of his other abilities, and it was hard to believe that they weren't formidable based on his rank. He was truly the wildcard in this situation.

Solstice felt the impact of her fist against his body as she sent out a pulse of hyoton chakra on contact, she thought she had won, and with that pulse a flicker of air wound itself around the form she thought to be strafe. Ice like a venom began to freeze him and turn his skin black. But as she connected with it, her fist cracked the ice, and with it the smoke erupted on impact, shattering what little ice she had formed around the substitutional image. there was a Kunai instead which had taken the full force of her hit. The ice wrapping around it freezing it, the low grade of its material causing the small blade to shatter. Solstice had a couple of thoughts running through her head when she landed the blow. 'when did he lay down a kunai!? How fast is he!? Where did he go!? How far away is he!?' all of which were questions which were answered when the ice disk hit her in the upper chest, a clean, concise hit as she had all of her momentum but currently little of her balance.

The blow knocked her backward and spiralling out of control for but a moment as the shuriken came down Solstice managed to plant her hand on the ground and vault herself up and backward with the momentum, the kunai coming down and her rising up like a 'V' in either direction. The blade cut deeply into her upper shoulder, before ricocheting off her collarbone and sticking into a nearby tree. Solstice gripped the location but it was more than that, her maintaining the chakra flow skill revealed that on impact down on her hip there was another long cut mark where her mind had slipped due to the pain for but a moment. Spiralling her hyoton out of control and causing a lash of frostbite across her hip, which seemed to just suddenly appear. The long black scar looked like a wound from a sword or a bladed implement, but was in reality more of an arc from something similar to a solar flare.

Solstice gritted her teeth through the pain, and ultimately through rotating found her feet and ground to a halt looking at her opponent, at the very least this meant that he had used one of the only common escapes known to most ninja, and unless he had another he would not be able to easily retreat for the next small while. So solstice had a chance to act, though her right arm had taken some damage due to the location of the cut, she would not be able to strike with its full strength any more, the once warm blood which had been leaking from the wound had clotted almost instantly due to the cold freezing the excess blood as she no longer had control of it as it touched her skin, building a fresh almost band aid like layer of ice around it, which did not so much heal the wound as much as maintain its status and prevent it from bleeding.

Solstice eyed up strafe, feeling the stress flowing through her body as her center of mass began to fall from its axis to a forward direction, putting the pressure into her legs she found herself crouching for but a moment before exploding toward him, clearing the distance between them in almost a second, taking toward him like a bat out of hell. The area blipped past solstice as she found herself attacking with full force like a tiger striking at a rabbit, her fury and wrath boiling up within her as she flipped the mental switch in her mind which determined something as a threat, and proceeded to take apt measures to eliminate it. Her body recognised the order and proceeded to lock in the movements as if she were on autopilot. Solstice focused on nothing but the
fight, her one tracked mind was locked on nothing but the process of combat. For a split second she'd forgotten that she was fighting allies in a practise battle, submersing herself in her instincts and the effects of adrenaline.

Though it was one of the steps partway through her assault that her intentions became borderline scary, hitting the ground halfway toward strafe she got FASTER, Fuuton chakra exploded from her feet for a moment as she would find herself having closed the gap, all moments after he would land from throwing his shuriken. coiling her fist and throwing it like a meteor toward Strafe's face, but such was a faint, with a sidestep and the full use of her momentum she threw all of her weight forward and low, to throw an elbow into his lower gut with the full force of her speed. From her low stance, the push that was intended to do little other than bend him over slightly and knock him into range would be followed up by solstice spinning almost on her knees turning her back toward him and tucking her leg up to her chest, with a slight look over her shoulder in a heartbeat her foot would aim to crush his solar plexus in a violent raising vertical split to stun him with an amount of incredible pain.

The aim of the attack was to stun him for a lethal follow up, though at this point Solstice had forgotten to a point about the other opponent in the battle. Her motivation and her fighting style made it not only hard to focus multiple opponent's OFFENSIVELY it made it hard to formulate strategies against more than one person, because one person was predictable, and on their own, can be observed, concluded, weighed, measures, and then systematically annihilated. Solstice to Strafe was able to whether his attack and had come back in full force to launch a head on assault against his defences. all the while the soft mist of the demon ice corruption flowing from her porcelain skin was a sign of her strikes being although not long term harming, the slight amount of frost bite was still a risk to one's health should he acquire a direct hit.

Yuudai

Yuudai

D-rank
There was one thing that Yuudai gathered from the situation - dealing with Solstice had to take priority. If what he thought was correct, she provided a counter to both his methods of attack. It seemed as if the glove severely hindered his kenjutsu, and possibly held the potential to do the same to his ninjutsu. If anything, he'd have to deal a blow from behind; something he did not find ideal, though there were no other means he could think of. Kenjutsu, as useful as it was, did not provide much help in this spar. Trying to maintain a semblance of the intensity of the battle and the situation - sparring against members of his clan; one being the clan leader - Yuudai knew that he only really held two options. One was just to forgo kenjutsu and strike with ninjutsu which would limit him tremendously. The other was to go with using his katana, but still avoiding dealing hits that would strike a vital point. It called for being more careful, but that was something he felt confident in handling. Regardless, he needed to do something.

Grabbing the hilt of his katana with his left hand, the grip fairly loose, Yuudai slid it out a bit to glance at the blade itself. The ice from Solstice still lingered there, though he still wasn't sure of its purpose. Deciding to ignore it, since they had nothing to technically fear, as they had decided not to deal anything to fatal to one another, Yuudai pushed down on the hilt, the blade entirely resheathed once again.

Looking over at the other two members of the Aisu clan, Yuudai tried to formulate a plan, but he knew that there was no need for such. Trying to reason himself in to staying back and watching, he began inching forward ever so slightly as the wind picked up just a bit, causing his hair to wave along with the wind. Reasoning to himself is that this would be favourable for them - for him to sit back and plan - Yuudai chose to instead go charging forth, though still trying to maintain his usual alertness of his surroundings.

Quickly going through a few hand seals, the needles made of ice formed in front of Yuudai who quickly grabbed all three with his right hand. His left went back to grasping the hilt of his weapon of choice. While the technique was similar to Strafe's, Yuudai sacrificed multiple projectiles for the sake of covering longer distances and having greater accuracy. With his pace picking up as he began closing the distance between himself and the other two, Yuudai quickly threw all three needles in succession, the first two aimed at Solstice while the remaining third was directed in the direction of Strafe, each aimed at their respective target's neck.

Hand still on the blade of his katana, Yuudai pushed himself off the ground using the power within his right foot. In the air, he only had one way to go, and if it failed, he'd be vulnerable to an attack. At least the arm he used for kenjutsu wasn't the one that had bin hit prior with Strafe's ice darts. When Yuudai reached the peak of his jump, of 2 meters, as he was aiming to cover more distance than he was for height, he hoped he'd be quick enough to catch them both off guard.

The options to him to attack, Strafe and Solstice, blatantly told him who to go after first. It wasn't to downplay the other person's skills and talents, but rather for Yuudai to play to his own advantage. Quickly sliding his katana out of the sheathe, Yuudai went for a quick hit that had enough force to pierce a person's skin, but not enough to severely injure them, aiming directly at Solstice's shoulder. Should she attempt to block this hit, Yuudai felt that he could come up with something quick enough to counteract her gloves, even if she may possess the ability to injure him further. Strafe, as much as Yuudai was wary of him, did not seem to be the bigger target compared to Solstice. It would all just be a matter of if she were to grab his blade that would decide Yuudai's next approach to the spar.

Strafe stood strongly as his tactics panned out perfectly, watching his Ice Disk tag her, followed by the kunai hitting its target as well. Strafe immediately starting thinking for the next step as he was running out of offensive options. His thoughts were soon cut short as Solstice gathered her self and turned to look at Strafe, eyeing with a look that would strike fear into the eye of most. He knew that she would continue to attack him until he was taken out of the fight. He had to make a statement with the next attack, but he disnt quite get that chance. Solstice exploded with speed, dashing toward Strafe with intent. If she got in close range and could keep him there, he was toast. He started to think of a jutsu, but was distracted when she became even faster as she used what seemed to be a Fuuton technique. Before Strafe knew it, she was in his face and about to pounce.

He tried to move, but was to slow as she feinted and hit him with an elbow, causing him to double over and gasp for breathe. He knew he had to do something, or it was about to get ugly. He moved his center of gravith to the side, causing him to dive which barely kept him out of the way of a strong kick. He sighed with relief before noticing an ice dart flying overhead as he layed on the ground. It seemed that Yuudai had reentered the battle and had taken the focus away from Strafe. He smiled as this was the perfect opportunity to get some distance between them. He stood up and jumped backwards, getting as much distance in the jump as his body allowed him. He needed time to observe and strategize for the next portion of the fight.

Solstice's kick soared through the air as it met nothing but that, air, empty space waned in the absence of her target but it didn't cause her to falter. Snapping her knee back when it reached the full extension of her leg she used the momentum to turn to see the location of Yuudai to see yet another two needles rocketing toward her. It was already too little to late however, she did not have the time to activate the chakra flow ability within her gloves, so instead swiftly locking her arms across her vitals and bowing her head she took one of the needles to her arm and the other hit and gloriously deflected and shattered from impacting her steel mask, scratching its slick iron surface but dealing little other damage. It was only then she saw Yuudai leap, not high but high enough and fast and hard enough to come crashing down with his blade aimed for her shoulder. Solstice bit her bottom lip hard enough to cause a slight wound, fighting both Strafe AND Yuudai was tough, and it would have been a lot tougher if the Jounin wielded higher ranked blades and weapons which they each long deserved.

Solstice had little time, her defensive techniques were becoming limited, which left her with one in particular. Rotation. Where the Hyuuga had adapted their form of rotation with their extensive command of their chakra points, able to release chakra from each of them. Solstice was able to do something similar, a technique of her father, she closed her eyes and with the simplest of spins evened her chakra out through her body, but namely in her arms and her shoulders and chest. But unlike the Hyuuga who were able to maintain rotation Solstice was only able to use it for little under a full second, for but a moment, which made timing everything. As he approached, hardly a few meters away she stood stalwart and focused, her arms still crossed across her chest while her fists uncurled, her open palms ever shimmering with the Demon Ice corruption technique. Watching his movements as he came within her range.

Coming down, the blade and his body within range of her spin, and Solstice span on the spot like a figure skater, the demonic ice corruption having frozen the location of her feet. Her arms fought against the pressure of the wind as they through themselves out from each other, the blade inching closer all the while with that single spin her chakra found its way to the gates as they were all released, hoping to take the pair by surprise, with the interesting technique. Solstice would become lost from view amongst the repulse of force and Hyouton chakra cascading around her in a vortex of cold and pressure. The effect would deal little damage to Yuudai, other than knocking him back rather sharply from the impact. Finishing the skill Solstice spread her legs to outside the effect of the ice and dug in her feet for the traction of the dirt and came grinding to a swift and abrupt halt.

Her wounded shoulder was beginning to become incredibly weak by this stage, she had been hit in the shoulder with one ice jutsu but now also hit in the same arm having used it as a shield, her grip in that hand had softened to barely be able to clench a proper fist. The blood trickling down her arm. But the leader of the Aisu clan had barely time to take notice of such things, with her hands spread out to either side of her she Clenched one of them and looked up, her crystal blue hair spinning to a halt and falling over her face. With a single step forward her grip on the ice was minimal literally skating across it without the use of the supernatural walking technique for grip. Hoping to reach her target before he had the chance to raise his sword in defence, turning her body side on Solstice stomped and planted her footing like a sumo warrior in horse stance, simultaneously throwing two punches out to either side of her with the force of the stomp. The blow was aimed at her opponent's centre chest, hopefully not long after he would regain his composure after the knock back.

Solstice thought about throwing a pulse through her fist for Yuudai, but instead for the fist time in the fight actually decided to drop the ice effect of her Taijutsu style, allowing the imbalance to calm itself, the raising steam finally fading from her skin signalling its ebbing. The jutsu was pressuring her to use the pulses on near hits and impacts, inflicting them was almost impulse which made it all the more dangerous to use in a training fight. So without a second thought she expelled the ability and allowed her body to rest without the stress of further injury from the skill. Her mind floated to the retreating Strafe, his chakra and his abilities would be ready for use again soon, soon solstice would have to take into account his shadow clone as well as his six ice needles once again, which was not a happy thought, it was more and more likely that the next time he used them it would not be to simply escape her, but to instead rather launch his own offensive, which could possibly end this fight for solstice.

Many more hits like she had been receiving and it was more than likely she would sub out of the fight, though she had only taken minor damage, it was damage none the less, the two of them both recognised her as a threat, which as grateful as she was, she didn't want to break their equipment in a training fight. But so far Yuudai seemed to be mostly unharmed, save for the single blow she had landed with her elbow which was more of a set up for a second attack, he'd received little damage up until now, and Solstice would not be overly surprised if the sneaky and slightly more passive medical ninja took the win because of it.

D-rank
There was severely scenarios running through his head as he felt his blade begin the downward descend to land a blow on Solstice's shoulder; though the force behind it wasn't significant enough to deal major damage other than piercing the skin. The pictures that ran through his head, calculating the next few steps, would be void in due time. Strafe had already backed off further, allowing even more distance to cover. While he did want to target the other jounin, Strafe posed as the dark horse in the entirety of this spar. What Yuudai wanted to do was quickly deliver a blow to Solstice and then quickly go after Strafe, though that idea was shot down as he came to the realization that more distance was something that would work against him.

As the distance began to close between himself and Solstice, he was not prepared for a technique made famous by another clan, though with the use of Hyouton chakra as a replacement for the technique. Once again, the odd feeling of Solstice's Hyouton chakra began to tingle within the air, cold from the mixture of the three Aisu clansmen and their use of Hyouton; though the only odd sense came from Solstice, again. Once the spinning began, Yuudai prepared for what was to come, mentally, as he had no way of stopping his momentum on a dime. One thought that passed through was that quick attacks would only do so much, something that he planned to keep in mind for the future.

The force of the rotation combined with chakra was enough to stop his momentum fully and send Yuudai backwards by about a meter and a half. While regaining his footing, along with turning his head straight up to face Solstice, in case of another attack; which wouldn't surprise him, he dropped his katana in preparation of what was to come next. Losing a vital piece of his arsenal would be risky, in a real battle, though he felt that it was best to learn to fight around his weapon style. Seeing Solstice come swiftly in with a double palmed strike, he predicted that maybe another blow would be to follow. In preparation, Yuudai clapped both hands just a second before he took the hit to the center of his chest. As he began his sail backwards, he thrust both arms forwards, in the direction of Solstice, for a jutsu he learned quiet a while back; the Gale Palm. It would easily create a gap between himself and Solstice while the damage would easily be an additional bonus, given the current battle. If Solstice was the one doing all the attacking, it would give the third person in the spar a significant advantage, being able to take their time and pick their spots. Also, it would give him the chance to run back and grab his katana once again, giving him his entire arsenal back once again, which would be exactly what he would do if given the opportunity, or he could use it to his advantage if the others were too focused upon the weapon he had discarded mid-flight.

Strafe panted for breathe as he further observed the fight at hand. The elbow that Solstice had connected was not a powerful attack, but Strafe was still not the most durable fighter. He focused on making his breathing steady while keeping his eye on his opponents. He stood at a distance thinking of the possible ways he could re-enter the fight. His options were rather limited and he didn't really have the firepower to charge in with a major attack. He knew that one thing was for certain, he had to use this time wisely as he was going to have to go on the defensive soon enough. The more he thought about his options, the more he realized how limited they were.

His thought process was interrupted as Solstice performed a very interesting jutsu that was similar to that of the Hyuuga. Her defense seemed amazing as Yuudai's attack was reflected with ease, sending him backwards a short distance. He immediately made note of the technique, making sure to be weary of it in the future. Solstice wasted not time in going on the offensive, charging at Yuudai with a strong punch towards his stomach.strafe's left eyebrow raised slightly as he noticed her choice not to add the freezing effect to that punch, which meant one of two things. Either it took up too much chakra, or it might have some side effects for the user. Regardless, either were sure to be advantages with the length of this spar.

Strafe was immediately surprised by Yuudai's counter, using a fuuton jutsu that was sure to hurt if it landed with Solstice. He cringed with the thought of being hit with a fuuton jutsu at that distance, but also noted the effects it could have on her. His mind immediately raced to think of what to do at such an opportunity, thinking to all of his jutsu that he had. He smiled as the next idea came to his mind, and starting the process. First, he threw a simply tiger hand-sign and created a simple clone. While the clone technique was easily noticed and countered in such an open space, he hoped that his target would be too distracted to take notice.

He nodded to his clone before they both took off in the direction of Yuudai, making sure to run at top speeds. The jounin was without his sword, which made this plan a lot easier to pull off. At about half-way, the clone and Strafe separated, running to either side of the enemy, who was hopefully unaware. The clone ran to the side closest to Solstice, hoping to be the target of her attacks instead of the real ninja. They closed in on Yuudai, making sure to keep eye contact with each other, just in case the unexpected happened. The clone jumped, throwing a furious kick aimed at Yuudai's chest, while the real Strafe came from behind and grabbed Yuudai's sword, hoping to keep the jounin disarmed. He turned his his body with with a twist and threw it, tossing it about fifteen meters away.

Strafe then turned his attention back to Yuudai and charged from behind, using his agile body to close the distance at alarming speeds. He dropped his center of gravity and spun downwards with his weight, causing him to throw a leg out for an attempt to sweep the man's legs. He was the most versed fighter at close range, but the distraction of a clone was a nice way of making taijutsu much easier for him to pull off. Not to mention he needed to be sure he wasn't going to use the sword for a substitution. While might could still pull it off, the distance would make it even harder than normal.

The battle had been heated, Solstice's Rotation exploded out from her chakra gates which had connected and met its mark, both mentally and psychologically on her opponents, Her steps toward them seemed to move as if Solstice was on ether, the adrenaline in her body pumping with her heart beating ten to the dozen coursing the vibrant liquid energy through her body and maintaining everything from head to toe. The chemically enhanced vitae like the oil of the machine which had been locked in a form of tribal if not literally spiritual dance of combat. The rhythm of her body keeping her timing sharp, al the while sharpening her like the whetstone and polisher of a well kept blade as the tempo of combat continued to keep its pace. The muscles within her body like clock word soundlessly and seamlessly acting and reacting even through the damage which had been isolated to her shoulder which faced away from her current opponent. Hiding the wound in such a way that it would not be exposed to the battle. The rotation had pulled on it slightly, jarring and stretching the ice which held and contained the bleeding like a band aid or a temporary scap, cracking it, and causing a little more of the vital fluid of her body to spill out and rapidly reharden due to the cold of the ice which surrounded it.

Her stomp hit the ground with tremendous force which caused any low hanging mist in the immediate area to part around it in a small ring due to her incredible sum of routed momentum coming to a halt and ready to throw all of her into her palm. Channelling her force into the ground and her arms bracing and expanding with it, the force would potentially shatter anything it came into contact with. Solstice's hand rocketed toward Yuudai's chest, the air parted from her palm as she'd picked up almost enough force to give the air and the dust swishing away from her body vibrant and flowing colour. Solstice was on the offensive, she felt more comfortable on the attack, more at home, this was a familiar feeling and there was little people would be able to do to stop her once she got to this point, her mind moving a million miles a minute as her eyes from behind her mask had locked on her opponent, she didn't think he would have had the time to perform a jutsu, but it seemed he was a lot more focused than she had initially thought.

Though as she saw his hands clap together she held back her attack for but a micro second, his hands had given the visual cue to a jutsu, thinking it to be an offensive nature Solstice flared her chakra for but a fraction as Yuudai's arms blasted forth to meet the presence of her own hand, the streams of air each thrusted towards her chest and  forced her arm back first with the force, and her body no more than half a meter as the chakra was caught in the irong grip of the gold plated glove she called her own, the ability, though some had blown past her was stored and maintained in her hand, the glimmering sphere resounding as the attacks Fuuton chakra incarnated and awaiting new delivery, though her attack had been averted she could hear the pitter patter of footsteps coming from behind her, turning and using the now lowered D rank jutsu in her hand like a whip, she released the stream in an arc in an attempt to clothesline the source of the sound. Only then did she see one of the shadow clones coming for her. One of which had taken up the position to attack and face down Solstice, she readied herself for the combat, the setting of the trees surrounded them blinded her to the clone's insubstantial nature. She had assumed this clone to be a fully formed shadow clone, them being of jounin rank and the A rank well known technique being almost a staple of people of their rank and status.

The wound on her shoulder was aching, and probably needed some form of medical attention after the battle without a doubt. The effect had now cast a numbing effect over her left arm, halving any strength that came from it in a somewhat devastating disability for the remainder of the fight. Though at least as a consolation prize she was not bleeding out over the course of the battle, the ice around the wound was melting, and with that washing and rinsing the wound, the water draining from the makeshift scab, and as the ice was only so new, there was not much of a chance of infection through the once cold plaster over her upper shoulder. And the hole further down in her left arm where the Hyouton senbon had managed to meet its mark. Solstice knew this training fight was going to become more brutal before it ended, he only hoped their medic had enough chakra left to heal the two of them of their wounds by the time the conflict had met its head.

Solstice was already proud of the fight the two of them had put up so far, but they were all at the beginning of their training as Jounin, it was once they were trained and their Jutsu mastered that time would show who fell behind and who soared ahead in the future. For now solstice noticed that she had been pushed al this time further and further back from her fuuma shuriken, looking at it she would not mind that weapon back in her hands, Yuudai's blade was a dangerous weapon which needed to be avoided, and although she had gotten lucky, she seemed to be too focused on avoiding it. The blade's edge did not look like it would be able to hue through her bone, but it would deal considerable damage on everything else. Solstice charged the clone with a quick leap and throwing a powerful jumping roundhouse kick capable of almost shattering a tree in two at the clone's head height, rotating and coming down with a second furious axe kick as she landed.

Yuudai

The gust of wind that rushed through his palms did more than he needed at the time, which was to create more space. Though his utilization of kenjutsu was better served for close range, Yuudai always felt a bit more comfortable with a decent gap between himself and his opponent. A medium range served him perfectly fine, closer was also beneficial as well. Without his katana would pose Yuudai with a difficult task of being able to hold his own against Solstice and Strafe. While, the sword lay roughly a meter away from him, the task of stretching for it would pose to be lethal; if this was an actual battle. For now, Yuudai would have to hold off on going for his chosen weapon. The feeling about being without half his arsenal didn't sit too well with him either, something he'd need to fix in the future, perhaps expanding his area of expertise as well.

With his right arm still having blood trickle down it from Strafe's first attack, his Ice Darts, Yuudai knew he'd have to rely a bit more on his left than he felt comfortable; however, as a naturally right handed person, his abilities should not be hindered too much. The blood did not show anywhere except for the very faint stains on the right arm of his upper garb. The blood still hadn't had enough time or room to maneuver to reach his wrist as of yet, thus no implications of blood truly shined. The pain itself still lingered, though at this point, with the adrenaline rushing through his body, there was just a faint stinging pain that occurred every few seconds. It was nothing serious, though it would definitely cause more pain as time passed out and their sparring session ended. He'd definitely have to get it looked at sooner or later, preferably here with Strafe instead of going to the hospital.

As he was preparing for what was to come next, two Strafe's charging at him, one closer to Solstice than the other, Yuudai could deduct from their speed that he was the current target. Heaving out a heavy breath, he got in a taijutsu stance. While his skills in taijutsu weren't up to par with specialists in the field, they were average among other shinobi. If anything, he'd feel more comfortable if his katana were to be within his grasp. Suddenly, an idea struck to him, though this was neither the time or place to worry about such a solution for the future, he had an incoming target that he'd need to defend himself against. One of the two Strafe's was attacked by Solstice, leaving the other for Yuudai to deal with.

As Strafe began to make his way towards Yuudai, the purple haired male began to make preparations for a counter. It worked to his advantage that Solstice had decided to take care of one of the two targets that were making his way to him. Realizing that Strafe wasn't going directly for him, and instead for his katana. His reaction was a bit late as Strafe had already grabbed it and was about to toss it away. Trying to throw Strafes balance off, Yuudai quickly turned on his right foot and used his left leg to kick Strafe's arm, attempting to cause his throw to be off balance, thus the katana would not travel as far. When Strafe went lower to the ground, attempting to swipe his foot under him, Yuudai's reaction was a delays as he tried to hop over it. Having his foot swiped in mid air, he could feel his body rotating, which would have him landing on his back. Reposition his body weight even further, Yuudai used both hands to push himself off the ground, allowing him some extra distance to land on his feet. Though it was place him further away from his blade, the route he'd have to take now would be an easier one to take.

To think that his plan would go without a problem was a vein thought. He knew that going in close quarters against the two fellow Aisu members was a risky move, but that was just a chance he had to be willing to take. His body moved at its fastest capabilities as he grabbed the katana, but Yuudai wasn't without speed of his own. As Strafe's torso twisted to throw the weapon, his arm was knocked off balance by a well placed kick from Yuudai. The hit forced his hand to release prematurely, only tossing the sword a simple seven meters. Strafe was more fortunate with his follow up, as he swept the feet of his opponent. The victory was short lived as Yuudai landed gracefully with a full recovery. Similarly, Solstice had stepped in and eliminated the clone that was created with a powerful axe kick, causing the jutsu to fail and release. Strafe's deep blue eyes narrowed as his plan was barely able to yeild results.

His mind raced with thoughts of strategy and offense. He knew that he could not let up for anything, as Yuudai was on the defensive. For a split second, he made a few decisions and prepared himself for the next move. He immediately started building up chakra in his throat, preparing a jutsu that had been used previously. He lept in the air with astounding grace as he spit six darts of solid ice at his first opponent in a quick pace. He aimed them in a circle hoping to take away the option of dodging them. His head the looked towards Solstice, who was a bit farther away. He opened his mouthto spit the last six at her, forming the same circle in an attempt to eliminate dodging. That way, she would have to expend more chakra to block the attack. Strafe then descended to the ground and landed perfectly, doing a quick check to look for attacks.

The next step of his plan was now at hand. Strafe jumped into the air once more, heading away from his opponents in attempt to keep distance between the two of him. This time, he added a twist to the simple retreat as he created the signature jutsu of his clan. A mirror of Ice appeared in mid-airbas he landed on it for only a split second, before jumping forward instead of vertically. This way, he would get more distance than by simply jumping once. Luckily, Strafe had the agility to pull off such actobatic moves. He landed at a solid 20 meters away from either of them. He tirned to face borh of them, immediately going to a basic defensive stance as he awaited their next move. He still had a few options to consider, and needed time to think on them.
