How did he let himself get pulled into this mess? A genin squad was certainly something Takao never imagined himself being apart of – let alone leading. He had been put in charge of three shinobi of lower rank. He believed two of them to be Genin, and one was Chuunin. Who knew if he was event up for this level of a task, he'd only just participated in the Chuunin exam. Yet, somehow, he came out a Jounin of certain specialties, but a Jounin none the less.

The crisp December air filled the area of the Monument. It wasn't a place Takao visited often, or ever really, but it was a classic location for Konohagakure genin squads to hold their first meeting. It was primarily an open field, the land covered in portions of grass and dried dirt. It hadn't rained for a while now, but that was to be expected during the colder months. Takao exhaled as he approached the location, his eyes following the faded white smoke of his breath as he quietly stepped along. He tugged on the collar of his undershirt and adjusted the green vest on his shoulders. Honestly, how in the hell had he convinced himself to wear this? His other clothing was much more comfortable, this getup felt like wearing an irritated hedgehog... or a sweater made from pure discomfort and evil.

He stopped in front of the monument to examine the names. Nobody he'd ever met before, hell, nobody he'd even heard of before. Takao could have gone over the entire stone and not seen a single name he recognized, but it wasn't something he ever paid attention to. Even though they were heroes of the village, who fought and gave their lives so that Takao could enjoy his own lazy lifestyle, he still didn't recognize any of them. T'was a shame, really. He raised his gaze to the surrounding area. Three beat to shit pillars of wood stood erect from the ground, scarred with age and damage from training. This would prove as a suitable grounds for their first meeting, but there wasn't much choice in the matter now. He had already sent out the message to all three shinobi, so all that was left to do now was wait. The dark-haired ninja leaned against the side of the monument and closed his eyes. What better way was there to pass the time other than a quick nap?

Synn

Synn had looked out the window of his housing to see the frost around the edges and frowned. It was odd even the dead of night in Suna for it to get so cold. Still he looks down at his hands to observe the Letter. It appeared he was to be part of a squad meeting. He shakes his head as his shaggy red hair flips about. His right hand moves up to touch his eye patch. He had a new move he was working on. His clan was known for theyre beauty but he felt he had discovered a way to bend it to something darker. Still He could not experiment much with it without two things. One he needed a target and the experiments would be dangerous. And second he needed to figure out how to pull them back out of the jutsu once it was done. It was dangerous to let them be.

He removes his hand from his eye patch as he slips into his dark coat. Recently added to his wardrobe it was thick enough to repel the elements. Specifically the cold. His Chunnin vest goes on over it along with his jeans he looked kind of like your average Chunnin and so he was. He contemplates further as he slips out the door and locks it leaving the light on to discourage intruders. The seal on his right eye.. He needed to get that removed in order to Become the Genjutsu user his squad would need. His mind had served him well enough during the exams. Hell he was the only one far as he knew to get out completely untouched. He smiles a little at that. Soon he would be strong enough to keep those hunting him for his transgression of abandoning Suna to have to contemplate going after him. He shakes his head as his feet crunch the frozen grass under boot. He needed to speak with the squad leader and make sure he understood the risks.

He approaches the monument. Tall with red hair forcing him to stand out against everything. He looks to the other person there with his bright green eye and smiles bowing his head. Before he speaks. his voice like the Siren he was.

"I Am Synn. I apologize for running late. and you are?"

Fang was eating breakfast and reading the letter he got "A squad meeting huh hmm sounds fun he said as he finished breakfast. He went upstairs and got his coat out of the closet and put it on and left the house. As he was walking he noticed how cold it actually was. Though it did not really bother him he just suddenly felt a chill but he continued walking he walked by ichiraku and got a whiff of the ramen being cooked. "Later" he said as he continued his walk

When he got to the monument he saw two people already there he walked up and said "Sorry i am late i am Fang Uzumaki it is nice to meet you both".

He wallowed in the abandoned house hold next to where his mother use to live before the murder. His father moved to another part of Konohagakure for sake keeping. He sat in the dark room on the wall, positioning himself to where he had his left leg stretched out and his right forearm on his right knee; his right arm covering his mouth and nose. He vowed revenge on his father, but even that would have to wait. He pondered to know how his little brother was doing. He pretty much knew that Neji was in good hands but decided to ponder about it otherwise. Neji lived with their mother's older brother, so that was good enough. He saw a little note on the window seal as he grabbed the note from the window seal and opened it. "A team meeting..." That was all he said until he made his way out the window and onto the outskirts of Konohagkure no Sato.

Hidekai Hyuga was the name of the figure that now resided in the abandoned household. After the death of his mother, he wanted little to no ties from the father that killed her, and even that was difficult. Death threat letters and notes from his father from time-to-time was nothing new to the Main Branch Genin (supposed to have been Chuunin) as he was on the rooftop of his building. The location was as it said on the note, The Honored Shinobi Monument. If he can recall, it had the names of all of the famous Shinobi before his time, raging from Hashirama Senju all the way to Naruto Uzumaki. Could Hideaki care? Nonetheless. But Neji and Hinata Hyuga were on the Monument so at least that was something to care about. Jumping from rooftop to rooftop, he made a light tapping kind of sound with fluid movement and elusive quickness. He wanted to get there as fast as he can with little to no time. As he got there, he saw three others there before him. Great; he was late.

Arriving at the moument, dialogue was already given. The two that spoke were primarily his teammates as the sensei did not say a single word. "What a drag..." That was all he said once again. On there team was an Uzumaki, a descendant of Naruto Uzumaki. Neji and Naruto both fought in the Chuunin exams and predominantly, Naruto won. No grudge was given. No look was given. Only a mere shrug. Hideaki kept silent and looked at the other three. This is going to be a very discombobulated team... He thought to himself.

The simple sounds of crisp grass crunching under a foot was enough to awaken Takao. He uncrossed his arms and rested a single gloved hand on his right hip while waiting for the person to complete their approach. The dark haired boy's head rotated slightly, his eyes following the Chuunin's advance. Takao could have sworn seeing him in the exams in the weeks before, but he had seen a lot of faces throughout the duration of the exams. The thought did linger though, it would be a tad awkward leading around somebody that could have easily been equal or above his own strength as little as a week or two ago. Yep, awkward...

Takao had opened his mouth to respond to the first that had arrived, but another made himself known in what felt to be only seconds after. Takao held his response to allow for the newest arrival to speak. He too apologized for being late, and yet, Takao still didn't remember giving them a specific time to being there. Or did he? Hell, he didn't even know the time now. He was lucky that the rest of the squad was showing up now, else he risked the thought of not knowing if this was in fact the date he had organized the meeting.

But, the thoughts were interrupted and shrugged off as the third and final arrival made himself apparent. Now, with no further interruptions to be had, Takao could finally speak freely.

Well, alright then. That's all of you.” Takao began as he took a few steps forward to stand away from the monument and in clear attention of the three.

My name is Takao Kimura. I'll be the Jounin Instructor for Squad Four, and as such, it will be my duty to oversee the training of you three until you become chuunin. Well, the two of you anyways.” he said, the last bit of his statement directed towards Fang and Hideaki. After a quick clearing of his throat to fill the monetary silence that followed, his hands returns to his sides.

So, let's start this off with some proper introductions. As genin, it will be optimal for you three to work as a team as often as you can. It'll only end up benefiting you in the long run. Anyways, those introductions! Include whatever information you deem fitting for your team to know, starting with you!” Takao said with a certain spark of enthusiasm as he pointed towards Synn, who was the first of the three to arrive. Maybe this squad sensei thing wouldn't be too bad after all?

Synn watched the others move in after he did and he slips his hands into his pockets his one good eye looking to the others. He recognized Takao from the exams and was kind of impressed he had been promoted already. good for him. He smiles to himself for a moment as in turn each speaks. Analyzing them best he could from the first impression they chose to leave on others. He shakes his red mane of hair and lets his eye look to Takao as he spoke listening.

He had a very valid point about working as a team and knowing each others strengths, weaknesses, and limits. Terrible things happened when that small amount of information was overlooked. He nods once more as he is selected first and steps forward. his clothes appeared to be fancy and well made. His scent was that of rose petals and his eye shined even in the dim light like a beacon into the soul. but his smile was warm as he looks among all three of them in turn before speaking. His voice was like musical velvet. His clan was bred for beauty and he was no exception.

"I am Karisuma Synn. I specialize currently in stealth and infiltration with a side of sabotage. On top of that my fighting style involves breaking bones. Lastly I came from Suna. They dont like me much for leaving and honestly I don't care. Just be aware any traveling with me to keep an eye out. You are Genin So I don't expect you to choose to aid if they send someone. figured I would mention it."

He then turns giving the floor to the next person who had it.

Fang heard the takao speak he listened to the jounin he had resiliently seen him in the chuunin exams so to be promoted so fast he had to be strong. As the first of his teammates stepped up and spoke he listened as he listed his former village and specialties. As his teammate finished their introduction it was his turn he walked forward a step and said "Hello i am Uzumaki Fang i specialize in sealing jutsu. I also use Fire and Wind style ninjutsu. If you have any other questions feel free to ask me i dont mind answering. And with that he stepped back and let the next one take their turn.

Hearing both introductions from his "teammates" deduced his attitude to a non-caring rate at the moment. Telling little information of one's self was a walk in the park for Hideaki, giving little to no information. Who can vouch for him when there was no information that he needed to give? But then again, he was all ears when it came to presenting one's self to a crowd. When their "sensei" spoke, Hideaki listened, showing mutual respect for his captain and also his team. He did not care of the rank of his teammates, so as long as they are needed at the right time, rank matters not, but the heart does. That was what his mother said to him when she was still alive. "..." Not a single word was spoken, not a single muscle was moved as he lowered his head, and closed his eyes. Thinking of his mother was painful enough, hearing her voice inside his head made things much worse.

Regaining to conscious once again. The one called "Synn" was rambling on about how Sunagakure did not like him and that he did not care. Hideaki wasn't the type to show sympathy, but was the apologetic type of person who thought that a lot of things were either dull, or with no color. Just like his mother, little of personality revolves around viewing the world in colors because the stand out more then such a mere black and white. He shrugged his shoulders likely at the fact of even doing so. Wasn't primarily his style or his way of seeing things. But, he cannot forgive his mother for inspirational sayings. Next to talk was Fang Uzumaki, a specialist in Fuuinjutsu and good in both Fire and Wind. Two taijutsu users and one sealer. Offensive and Supplementary-oriented team this Jounin has with him at the moment. "..." Nothing was said from the Genin (should've been Chuunin) Hyuga until it was his time to speak.

Fang was finished with his introduction and now it was Hideaki Hyūga's turn to talk. He did not want to say too much, but then again, not too little at that. Very confusing. Giving an introduction was not really Hideaki's thing because of the fact that explaining himself to people who he knows little information was nothing but a waste of time. But, if the sensei said so, Hideaki had to follow somehow. He lifted his head to face others, and opened his mout with a low, yet melodic soft tone of voice, "If you must know, my name is Hideaki Hyūga. I hail in an abandoned house here in Konohagakure, as to my father actions were the reason why I stay alone." That was enough chitchat for now from Hidekai as he looked at his sensei for further talking or perhaps little training.

As far as first impressions went, this group was rather... interesting. He didn't have much to base their first meeting off of, his own squad's first meeting as a genin was a tad interesting as well. If you could consider having his ass handed to him by the Hokage “interesting”, anyways.

The introductions began with Synn. He stated that he specialized in stealth and infiltration. They had something in common then, Takao had an interest in the art of stealth as well. Maybe the two could exchange tips and pointers at a later date, but right now the focus was on the squad as a whole. Individual training sessions would have to come later.
The next to be introduced was Fang Uzumaki. Fang? That was an awfully odd name to give a kid, or that's Takao's impression anyways. An Uzumaki to boot as well. Known for their rather potent chakra and... well, something else too, but Takao had forgotten already. His recent promotion had inspired him to do a bit of research on some of the Konohagakure clans, but he'd fallen asleep somewhere during the Uzumaki biography. Unlike Synn, Takao shared both elements with Fang. That would make widening his jutsu arsenal a bit easier, and the larger pool of chakra he possessed would definitely come in handy. He would have to put Fang in contact with somebody else to teach him sealing, however.

The last to speak was the Hyuuga. Takao had learned a lot about them and their fighting style in the past few weeks that he'd studied up. They had an interesting past to read on, and the trend seemed to continue itself onto Hideaki. As his short introduction was finished, Takao folded his arms in front of his chest and nodded to the group.

Good. Knowing your comrade's strengths and weaknesses will allow you make up for what they lack. From what I can gather, you three make up a strong offensive team.” Takao said as his eyes wandered on over to Hideaki. He knew well that the Hyuuga were primarily taijutsu users, so the three of them would indeed prove to be a strong offensive cell.

We'll have to postpone any kind of physical assessment you three might have been looking forward to.” Takao began. It seemed that almost all squads started with a fight of some sort. A peaceful approach was something a bit different. “I'm recovering a wound at the moment, so we'll have to see what you guys can do in a combat situation at a later date. Since you guys have fairly different specialties, I'll have to work with you each individually rather than as an entire squad. We'll still gather for group training sessions and missions from time to time, and hopefully get you two a promotion as soon as time permits.

synn Smiles and nods slowly before crossing his own arms his eye assessing the other two he had just now met. Fang was a strange name but the idea of sealing techniques was interesting. That and the name Uzumaki was a large one to live up to. its part having been played before. he looked forward to what this one might bring to the table given the chance.

his eye moves back over to the Hyuga. A dangerous opponent to have with the ability to block chakra flow. famous for they're power and they're eyes. This one seemed a bit hostile though. Some mention about his fathers actions. He would have to do some research into that. after all having a high ranking Hyuga as an enemy could be bad especially if not properly prepared. Still the Hyuga had great promise as well.

His eyes then turned to Takao and watched him a moment as he spoke and nodded. The man had something Synn himself was missing to be promoted so quickly. he honestly wasn't jealous of the man as he himself had little to no drive to become better. His own natural talent carrying him this far. Instead he raises his hand with a smile.

"Sensei. If I might intrude. I understand you are injured but I cant help but feel that combat training isn't entirely out of the question. Its up to you but just for observation purposes and a platform to begin training on. perhaps I could attempt to hold them both off for a few minutes? I doubt I could last much longer against such impressive lineage but I could try."

Synn spoke humbly however he was not as much a weak pretty boy as he looked. underneath his clothing was natural rippling muscles of a warrior and his kung fu was at a very high level. His speed was also impressive. He had not gotten out of the exams untouched on pure luck. Still he smiles with his offer out there and lets his betters decide.

Fang Uzumaki

Fang listened to Hideaki speak about his father problems he could not really relate to that having a good relationship with his father. But in the back of his head the only thing really going through it was that he was wanting someone to test his skills with. Then it was his sensei's turn to speak he listened closely to what he said about his injury he felt bad that they would have no training yet. Until synn spoke about a training match razor smiled a bit and said "I have no problem with that sensei. What better way to learn our strengths and weaknesses then with a friendly spar". Fang looked back at his sensei for his response to the question.

Hide

Hide

D-rank
So everyone wanted to spar except the sensei because he had a slight injury, and Synn wanted to take on both Hideaki and Fang by himself? This was getting a little bit interesting for once with Hideaki, except for the fact that Synn acted upon the fact that he can take on both a Hyuuga who can block his chakra pathway system and a Uzumaki who excelled in Fuuinjutsu. But only time will tell so say the least. But, the sparring idea wasn't half bad at all. It gave a chance to Hideaki to observe his teammates strengths and weaknesses altogether. So yes, Hideaki would vote for a friendly spar against either Synn for a taijutsu break down, or Fang as a remembrance of Naruto and Neji at the Chuunin Exams decades ago.

At first, it seemed as when Hideaki was finished with his introduction, all eyes were on him because of his clan, the Hyuga clan. Were the Hyuga clan that dangerous? That powerful because of their abilities and the eyes to go with it? It didn't bother Hideaki to say the least. He simply shrugged his shoulders to the idea of that and continued on with his day. But now that he has a team like before, everything changed, for better or worse. Of course Hideaki Hyuga was of the Main Branch and was praised for it, but that did not stop him from enduring the most gruesome pain in the world: to lose one's own mother against one's very own father. He continued to not let the past thought get to his head at the moment; he had a team to worry about now. He can settle his thought differences another time, on his leisure time at that.

But, back onto more important matters: this so called sparring maneuver. The two agreed to it, so why not three? It wasn't like Hideaki was going to back down from a challenge. He needed to observe both Fang and Synn's weakness and strength alike, and hopefully his sensei at that. But nonetheless, he was going to eventually. "..." No word was being said from the Hyuga's mouth. Did he care? He did, to a certain extent to be blunt honest. But, time was wasting; might as well go for it. "A spar would efficient enough for all three of us to observe one's tendency and attribute in both weakness and strength." Much was said that came from his mouth. He did not have to, but he wanted to. What better way to learn then to visualize, observe, and experience.

[I'll opt out of the topic for now and let you guys skip my posts. If I need to intervene, I'll post whenever and after that we'll return to the old post order.]

Takao crossed one arm over the other while raising his left hand to his chin in thought. He had thought about having the genin spar against each other, but he knew very well how easily those kinds of fights could get out of hand. He finally released a heavy exhale and looked between the three genin. All of them seemed to be on board, so why not let them have at it? "Well, since you all seem to be interested in the idea, I won't stop you. It does eliminate the need for an otherwise unnecessary physical assessment." Takao said as he took a few steps away, back himself up against a tree that was close enough to observe, but far enough if they decided to start shooting off jutsu like it was nobody's business.

"Have at it then! The loser buys everybody dinner!" Takao shouted from the tree he was leaning on, the last bit added in for a bit of motivation to win - and also because he was hungry and forgot his wallet at home.

Fantastic. He was broke and had no way of owning up to that kind of dinner arrangment. He sighs and rubs the back of his head. A seal Master and a user of the Hyuga style... What was it called again.. Poke you till it hurts? No no that didnt make much sense. It was squishy fist or something like that. As for the seals that meant touching to.. Well damn. That and his fighting style dislocated joints. That would be rough not getting his chakra blocked or sealed while Fighting them both.

"Be gentle with me Boys"

He said with a soft smile while Hist hands splayed out to his sides. His own fingers flexing as he contemplates a couple of take downs. For now this was going to be rough with just one Eye. He pulls off the eye patch for the first time and looks out with his other eye. Around the eye where seals preventing it from using any jutsu. it was just a plain eye but now he could see better. He blinks a couple of times to adjust to the light before nodding.

"Alright Gents. When your ready."
