Through his time spent being a shinobi of the hidden mist he had encountered all sorts of locations and people each of different characteristics people who he could depend on and places where he can go to keep things off his mind. He had heard about a lake just outside of the village where shinobi were known to meet up and begin their mission or just to enjoy the mere beauty of the lake itself. As the bright idea quickly leaped into his mind to be distracted by the beauty of the lake was enough to make him ease and relax forgetting about everyone he had encountered for a little bit after becoming a shinobi. With a smile upon his face the journey took less time than he expected due to the fact he was already in the wilderness enjoying nature to the fullest. He was actually under a tree resting next to the path only to stand up patting down his pants removing the dirt from his clothing as he glanced over to see a sparkling light hit his eyes from the distance.

“Bright must be the lake.”

Taking a step upon the path the feeling of the warm sun rays touching his skin felt hotter to the male than it would do to other shinobi continuing down the path the smell of the lake bathe the air as it was carried by the breeze towards the path. It was a smell that Burittsu himself was not familiar with only to gaze out an about as he reached the end of the path introduced to a clear blue majestic lake. It resembled a mirror reflecting off the blue sky and the bright orange sun as the sound of clashing metal carried over the dim conversations of the shinobi that must be on their off day. The lake itself was as bright as it could ever be this felt as a good start of his day in all honesty as he gave out a grin and continued down the path towards the lake.

“A good day indeed.”

As he grew closer and closer he could not help himself from stopping he felt his feet picking up jogging down the path as he just continued to head forward underneath the glare of the sun. It took only a mere matter of seconds as he found himself standing in water as it felt cool and refreshing he enjoyed every bit moving his toes underneath the water. As he gave out a large sigh of happiness and took in the view of the lake and the villages trusted shinobi. With a chuckle he only wandered to himself how better could the day get for someone like him.

“Hmm.”

It was a beautiful day outside in Kiri. Genbu decided he would stroll over to the lake to take in the beauty of the day and hopefully get some much needed quiet time with his thoughts. As he walked he felt the caress of the sun's warmth on his face. He walked significantly slower than he normally would so that he could take in every moment on his way to the lake. The path was rather long, but given that it was such a beautiful day, Genbu didn't mind the walk at all.

As he approached the lake, he caught a faint glimpse of the sun’s reflection off the surface of the water. It was almost blinding how bright it was. Genbu shielded his eyes with his hand as he crept closer to the water. When he reached the shore of the lake, he marveled at how beautiful the water was and how the sun glistened off of it like a flawless mirror. Across the way he noticed other Kiri shinobi lazing about. It seemed he wasn’t the only one who had the great idea to visit the lake today. He decided since it was such a warm day, he would go for a quick swim and cool off. He took off his cloak and placed it on a log nearby the shore. He made his way back to the water and calmly entered the lake up to his waist. The water was certainly refreshing so he decided he would dunk himself underneath to get the full effect. As he dunked his head, he felt the cool water caress his face and wiping away the beads of sweat from his brow. He felt relaxed in the water, like it was a home away from home. He thought about how wonderful it was just to relax without a care in the world.

He flipped himself over so that he could float on his back and look up into the clear blue sky. He began to float effortlessly as he contemplated what he would do after he left the lake. In the daze of his thoughts, he failed to realize he had drifted to the other side of the lake. As he continued to float, he suddenly bumped his head on something soft. The shock of the bump immediately disturbed him from his daze and he realized where he was. When he looked up, he saw another Kiri shinobi who he had bumped into. The shinobi’s skin almost seemed to glow in the sunlight vastly contrasted by his dark blue short hair. “Well this is awkward,” he thought to himself, “How could I have let myself be so clumsy?”

Feeling a soft bump upon his leg he looked down spotting a shinobi of the mist he was odd looking to the eye but Burittsu learned never to judge a book by it’s cover. It was his day off and as it seemed he was not alone he was afraid on the inside not knowing what to do but to himself this was another opportunity to meet another shinobi of the village. He hoped this male was not like the last one full of lies he gazed at the male with navy blue eyes as his hair danced in the light breeze. Giving a chuckle he only continued to gaze down at the male awaiting for a response from the shinobi who seemed to be carefree easily going with the flow as the day carried him along.

“Well this is awkward.”

Sitting down upon the water he gazed at the male at what he was doing it seemed simple enough but he dared not try it but indeed was another chance for Burittsu to gain another ally for whatever may come forth in the near future. With a glance upon the random shinobi Burittsu focused his gaze upon the shining light of the blue lake as it reflected the light all about blinding many people and heating some up. “Never seen you before. Who are you care to share with me I need more allies.”

Placing both his hands together he began to play with his fingers as he knew he had no choice but to better his further future in the village. His eyes remained locked onto the villagers and shinobi enjoying their peaceful day not even stressing about what could be going on out of the village. Laying down upon his back he felt the cold touch of the lake’s water touching his head as it allowed him to relax and also begin to float same as his new buddy. His eyes were now focused upon the blue sky with the bright sun he could only close his eyes as the cool relaxing feeling took over.

“Good day in paradise.”

The shinobi he bumped into looked down at him looking slightly confused with his navy blue eyes. The shinobi simply chuckled and continued to look down into Genbu's eyes. Genbu, being the introvert that he is, couldn't think of the words to say. He was certainly embarrassed and wished he could fade away. The shinobi shifted his gaze away from Genbu, looking down upon the lake. As he watched the shinobi, Genbu remained afloat on his back, keeping himself calm.He figured he should probably say something but given his awkwardness, he couldn't muster the words. He floated quietly to himself hoping the shinobi would either talk to him or just go away. He could live with either outcome at this point.

“Never seen you before. Who are you care to share with me I need more allies," the shinobi uttered. As he spoke, he laid down next to Genbu, floating upon the water. Genbu responded, "The name is Genbu. Nice to meet you." As the two men floated together, Genbu wondered whether his new found friend was truly a friend or was merely putting on a facade. Genbu didn't have many friends so he figured he would give his Kiri brethren the benefit of the doubt. He continue to float next to the shinobi, his eyes still focused on the blue sky above.

Genbu grew tired of the floating and let himself sink down below the water. As he rose back above the water, he looked at the tree line surrounding lake. He reflected on how lovely the trees were. The leaves flowing with the gentle breeze coming from the opposite side of the lake. As he faced breeze, it caressed his face and swayed the beads of water dripping from his chin. He remembered he had left his cloak on the other side of the lake. He stood up and walked toward the shoreline. As he walked, he spoke out to his new friend, "It was a pleasure to meet you. We'll have to meet up again sometime. I'm going to dry off now". As he exited the water, still dripping wet, he found a nice clearing to dry off on the shore. He laid down in a patch of grass beyond the shoreline and propped his head up with his hands. "Today is a great day," he thought to himself. As he looked out onto the lake once more, he felt as though he should try to chat more with his new friend. "Its nice over here if you are trying to dry off!", he shouted to his new found friend.

The sky itself took the attention and stress away from Burittsu as he floated upon the water hearing the males response but was seemed to be completely distracted by the beauty of the lake and nature. As he continued to float he only watched the male stand up and remove himself to go dry off outside of the water. He could not help but rise up from the water as he still appeared to be wearing his parachute pants giving a good stretch his primary goal was to stand in the sun but hearing the invitation from his new comrade he knew another opportunity would not show itself.

Walking over towards the male with his damp clothing he sat down next to the male as he continued to look out towards the lake. All this that presented in front of him only made the male crack a smile as he was proud and joyful of being in the village and able to continue to grow with the people he meets and much more. Through all this the male almost forgot that he was being rude to the other shinobi with a gaze at the male making eye to eye contact his smile continued to rest upon his face. As he bowed his head slightly towards to the male in a sign of respect.

“My name is Burittsu.”

As the breeze blew over the male Burittsu only had one thought what would the outcome of this new friendship be like he had already marked his rival but it would indeed be better to grow stronger with the character that was called Genbu. With a deep stare at Genbu his mind only began to process if he would be a great ally but it was just the start Burittsu knew that he would run across more than a couple of shinobi in the village. Raising a fist in front of Genbu he only gave out a grin as he awaited the response or reaction of the male.

His smiled burned deep as his mind burned deeper only thinking of the possible outcomes the village and its people have to await him. Burittsu wasn’t even part of an actual squad yet and has never set out on a missions with other individuals before. His eyes only continued to study the figure who was directly in his presence as Burittsu himself only began to wonder how much acknowledgment would he be able to gain. He only saw fit to make friends so he may gain a better reputation throughout the village.

“Tell me about yourself Genbu.”

Genbu stared into the sky, awaiting to see if his new friend would accompany him by on the shore. He watched as the shinobi walked towards him, soaking wet from the lake. He was wearing some seemingly parachute pants which seemed to weigh him down due to the weight of the water in them. He walked over towards Genbu and smiled at him. He then plopped down right next to Genbu in the clearing by the shore. The shinobi bowed his head as a sign of respect as he announced his name, Burittsu. As he lifted his head, he realized Burittsu was grinning at him and he lifted his fist up towards Genbu, seemingly wanting a fist bump of some sort. Burittsu spoke and said "Tell me about yourself Genbu."

Genbu figured he would be cordial and bowed his head to show Burittsu respect. He obliged the offer for a fist bump and then slumped back down into the grass next to his new friend. He figured he would give his friend of nugget of information about him, just enough to satisfy his interest and nothing more unless he inquired about it. "Well my name is Yuurei Genbu, and I am not your typical shinobi. The abilities I have i wasn't necessarily born with, lets just say I acquired them. Why don't you take a look behind me to see what mean," Genbu told his new friend. He rolled himself over on his side to face Burittsu so that Burittsu would realize the sun made no shadow behind him. He figured Burittsu would be quite curious once he realized what he was talking about but he was feeling slightly more sociable today so he decided he would answer more questions about himself should Burittsu decide to ask them.

Genbu waited for Burittsu to respond to his invitation, but while he waited he thought about the food waiting for him at home. He surely was quite hungry. He had been at the lake for quite some time at this point and his stomach began to growl with hunger. "Man, I can wait to get some of that sushi when I get home," Genbu thought to himself. "Time surely does fly when you're having fun."

He was left in shock in all honesty as his eyes widen and his hands touched the surface of the earth as it really was no illusion the shinobi bared no shadow meaning this male would be the ultimate assassin if he decided to improve and work only on his skill. Burittsu was extremely entertained with the fact that this male had no shadow he kept gazing as he was lost in the moment only to stand up in the sun gazing down at the male. With the heat of the sun touching his skin it made him feel sluggish and caused him to sweat rapidly returning back to the shade Burittsu touched his face taking all the sweat onto his palm. Sitting down in front of the man he concentrated upon the elements of the sweat upon his hand and the breeze that carried throughout the area. In mere moments the sweat upon his hand froze into ice completely taking over as it’s cold chill could be felt by anyone who came close.

“Yes time does fly when you’re having fun.”

Giving a chuckle he closed his fist crushing the ice between his skin as the cold relief of air escaped both sides of his hand sending a shiver of cold air out both directions. “It’s cold watch out.” Burittsu kept his grin upon his face as he only thought about how powerful were these shinobi’s in the village each came with a different set of skills each a different mindset but all loyal to the village. He only thought about this for a brief moment as more thought continued to flood his mind.

“You have no shadow incredible you could be the second greatest shinobi in the village.”

This amused Burittsu to the point he stood up in front of the male and began to stretch his legs with a determined smile upon his face walking out towards the lake he came to a stop upon the shore. Reaching down for his toes and cracking his wrists he gave a chuckle to himself as he looked over his shoulder and fully turned around his face was stern and his emotions seemed to turn cold. “Let’s spar taijutsu only no weapons no jutsu.” With his hands on the ready one made a fist as the other one was half closed as it seemed even the rays of the sun could not stop the hot headed Burittsu.

“Let’s see who's stronger between the two of us.”

Genbu watched as his friend observed him in seemingly in awe. As Burittsu stood in the sun, Genbu noticed his movements began to slow. As sweat began to drip profusely from Burittsu's brow, he watched as Burittsu wiped the sweat into his hand and retreated back into the shade. Genbu felt a chill near him, but there was no wind in sight. He looked more closely at Burittsu and noticed the sweat he had wiped from his brow had turned to ice. "So he can manipulate ice," Genbu thought to himself. At that moment Burittsu spoke, “Yes time does fly when you’re having fun," as he crushed the ice in his hands, chuckling while he did it.

The cold air escaping from Burittsu's fists stung across Genbu's face. He wasn't quite sure the extent of his new friend's abilities, but he could infer about them. It seemed he reacted negatively to the being directly in the sun. He didn't know why, but he kept this nugget of information in the back of his mind. While he analyzed Burittsu, Burittsu continued to speak to him. He had missed something his friend had said but he picked up the rest mid sentence. "...you could be the second greatest shinobi in the village," Burittsu exclaimed excitedly. "Second greatest? Whose the greatest then?" Genbu thought to himself. "I bet he thinks its him, we'll see about that" Genbu continued to think in his mind.

Genbu watched as Burittsu stood up facing away from him. Burittsu reached down, seemingly to stretch, and proceeded to crack his wrists. As he swiveled to face Genbu, Genbu realized his grin had turned ice cold. Genbu watched as one of Burittsu's fists clenched into a fist, the other a half fist. His stance was odd, one he had never seen before. "Let’s spar taijutsu only no weapons no jutsu. Let’s see who's stronger between the two of us," Burittsu said in a much more serious tone than before. Genbu quickly stood and and moved back about 3m into the sunlight. He slid into his fighting stance. It was a high and narrow stance with his elbows kept close to his body to protect his vital organs. A defensive stance that allowed him to take advantage of his opponents recklessness should they rush at him. "Come at me if you wish," Genbu spoke softly. "Let's see if you can fight".

He could only grin as Genbu actually accepted his challenge to the spar as he stood in the sun awaiting his friend he watched his stance carefully it had seem Genbu was awaiting for Burittsu to give himself up and give out a opening. His stance did not show Burittsu the answers of his opponents fighting style the personality of Genbu was all that was needed as he seemed reserved until being pushed. That was now his goal in mere seconds the body of the shinobi quickly darted across the shore towards Genbu quickly leaping up into the air above the male.

“We will see exactly who is the strongest.”

Burittsu only was reminded of his failed attempts but this time he had a drive one that seemed to fire him up when it came down each step he took before jumping. Coming down from above the male he winded up his right leg swinging down upon Genbu aiming for his left shoulder hoping he could quickly take out his enemy’s arm movement giving him a bigger advantage.

As the sunlight beamed down upon Burittsu and Genbu the sweat continued to pour out from the skin of the ice maker this did not stop him as his blood boiled from the lust of battle. His mind was wrapped around the moves he and his opponent would dish out on one another this raced through the mind of the male but he only wanted to get a great reaction out of the male. The kick he threw at Genbu was strong enough to leave a bruise but obviously a kick that he held back on as it came on strong but would still be easy to block. Only leaving bruises on whatever he used to block it.

“Let’s see how well you do against the first attack Genbu bring it!”

Genbu watched and studied Burittsu, waiting for his opponent to attack. As he watched, Burittsu spoke out, "We will see exactly who is the strongest," and began to dash towards Genbu. With seeming ease, Burittsu jumped high in the air and cocked his right leg up preparing to smash it down on Genbu. “Let’s see how well you do against the first attack Genbu bring it!” Burittsu exclaimed. Genbu knew he needed to think quickly on what to do. From Burittsu's trajectory, Genbu could tell Burittsu intended to hit the left side of his body. Genbu knew he had two options at this point; he could either deflect the attack or block it. Blocking would certainly stop the attack, but deflecting it would allow Genbu to counter attack faster. Judging by Burittsu's movement, Genbu figured he had a bit of a speed advantage so he determined he should probably just deflect the strike and counter quickly.

Genbu quickly swiveled his body counterclockwise to position himself to deflect Burittsu's attack. Burittsu came crashing down in front of Genbu, leaving a small crater where he landed. "Leaving your feet leaves you exposed," Genbu said calmly. Genbu knew there would be an opening somewhere in Burittsu's defenses when he landed and he planned to use it to his advantage. The way Burittsu landed due to the missed blow left his left kidneys and abdomen exposed. Genbu saw his opening and he took it. He launched a punch aimed at Burittsu's exposed kidney in an attempt to cripple his stamina and make subsequent attacks a bit easier to land. He didn't put all his force into the strike as he didn't want to cause to much damage to his friend, but he put enough force in it to cause some moderate bruising. Given Burittsu's exposed defenses after his strike, Genbu felt his punch connect with Burittsu's side. Knowing his strike would cause some pain, he dashed backwards 3m to create some space between the two, all the while remaining in the sun's light. "Are you sure you want to do this?," Genbu said exuding no emotion.

As he came down it was apparent that he missed his target as the beating sun continued to pour down upon the two it only caused Burittsu to have sluggish movement. It was clear the male was not in the right environment to be fighting as he gazed around it seemed he missed his enemy only to quickly watch Genbu throw a punch to his left side. Being slow the only thing he could actually do to limit the damage was to flex his core as he was sent skidding across the shore. Taking a deep breath it was obvious to himself that he was bested due to the fact he was not able to keep up but all this was a test to Burittsu he needed to get better. Standing up as he simply rubbed his side and stomach the male stood underneath the beating sun as his eyes remained focused upon his enemy.

"Are you sure you want to do this?”

The words of Genbu seemed to sound as if he was giving pity to Burittsu this only made the male grow in anger closing his eyes as wiped the sweat off of his face. He knew he had no choice but to grow accustomed to the heat knowing well other nations have hotter temperatures grinding his teeth he only gave a grin. As it quickly his smile disappeared his body launched itself directly towards Genbu.

“Don’t hold back.”

He quickly threw a right jab aiming for the chin of Genbu knowing if he was able to push the button that the match could change and the two of the friends would both be at a disadvantage. Following the jab to the jaw of his enemy Burittsu quickly threw a swift kick with his left leg aiming for the ribs of Genbu knowing one of the attacks would be able to land just which was it as each attack was thrown he only had more confidence in himself. Giving a raise of his right eyebrow he only waited for the male to show his reaction as the mindset of Burittsu was already made up he was going to fight it out till he couldn't fight no more.

“Mhmm.”

Genbu watched as Burittsu seemed slightly phased by the blow, as he stood himself up and rubbed his side. Seemingly in a bit of pain. Genbu knew he had the upper hand at this point. He just had to keep Burittsu in the sun and he would be victorious. As he kept his eyes locked on Burittsu, he noticed Burittsu's smile disppear. "I guess I upset him," Genbu thought to himself. At that moment, Burittsu spoke and said "Don't hold back" in an angry tone and launched himself at Genbu faster than the first time. The change in speed caught Genbu off guard. Burittsu threw both a quick jab aimed at Genbu's chin and a kick intended for his ribs. Genbu knew he would only have time to block one of the attacks and would have to eat the other.

Since Genbu's stance was already intended to cover the vitals at his core, he decided to brace himself for impact and tuck his chin to his chest to minimize the damage from Burittsu's jab. Genbu easily deflected Burittsu's kick but he took the jab square on the chin. The blow definitely hurt Genbu, but he knew he could still keep the advantage in the fight if he remained in the sunlight.

"You asked for this," Genbu spoke softly. Burittsu's reckless attack while effectively left him squarely in front of Genbu, right where Genbu could abuse him. At that moment Genbu launched two attacks intended to cripple Burittsu's movements. He launched a straight punch aimed at Burittsu's diaphram followed him a straight front kick aimed at the knee caps. He doubted Burittsu would be able to block both attacks, and either attack would seriously cripple Burittsu's ability to fight. If the punch were to land, Burittsu would certainly have the wind knocked out of him, but if the kick were to land, his movement would be slowed. Either way, Genbu planned to take advantage of the situation. Burittsu's taijutsu was good, but he was too reckless. He was clearly out of his element in the warm weather and dashing about exerted too much energy to maintain a fight when already at a disadvantage. "Recklessness will get you hurt Burittsu," Genbu said calmly.

Feeling satisfaction from actually landing a blow upon his opponent but it all felt to easy to the male as the sun continued to beat down upon the shinobi it had seem Genbu was up to something. Only leaving Burittsu in thought as he quickly grew tired from giving an all out movement it seemed he needed to train underneath these conditions to become a better and stronger shinobi. “You asked for this.” the words only stung the ears of Burittsu as he glanced up to realize Genbu was on the attack once throwing a punch towards his midsection as he was just barely able to block the oncoming attack. Using his arm as a shield to take on the hit quickly feeling a sharp pain upon his knee he looked down as his leg was pushed back by his opponent.

“Tsk..”

Grabbing his knee it had seem that he was pushed to hit limit for now as his hand remained over the spot it had seem Genbu himself burned a fire deep inside Burittsu as his eyes only focused upon the earth floor. Indeed the shinobi was shocked but as he cooled down he only knew he had himself to blame for the sun today was his worst enemy he only gave a chuckle as he simply was excited to make the star his ally. Sitting down upon the shores of the lake he only had a smile upon his face as he knew he was bested this one time. Lifting a fist towards Genbu followed by his usual smile he seemed pleased.

“Yeah I did get hurt i’m reckless I know.”

Only with a chuckle after the words left his mouth he enjoyed the fight between him and his new friend as the water from the lake made its way close enough to Burittsu but quickly retreated the day could not even be more better for the shinobi. Pleased he got to enjoy the lake for his first time and met a new friend everything seemed like it was going well for Burittsu standing up as he quickly dusted off his clothing he could only keep the smile upon his face. As in the back of his mind his evaluation of the character that called himself Genbu was complete as it seemed he took a lot of confidence in his fighting stance.

“Genbu I got to go explore around the village find new and stronger friends till next time.”

Waving off his new friend with that mere grin of his Burittsu headed back off on to the path where he came from heading back to the village. Where in hopes he would meet new people and become strong enough to face those he met especially his rival and now Genbu each strong in their own way. He could only contain his excitement for so long as he let out a loud laugh only to think about how strong will the shinobi of Kirigakure will be in the near future. Even Burittsu knew he could not keep the ties to the people he called friends but time would surely tell when he came time to using these people he called his friends.

Genbu knew he had won the fight when he felt kick to the leg connected with Burittsu's knee. Burittsu quickly grabbed his knee, seemingly in quite a bit of pain. He sat himself down on the shore, with a smile on his face. He lifted his fist up to Genbu, this time not in an attempt to punch, but yet another fist bump invitation. Genbu gladly obliged his opponent, as he was gracious in victory and defeat. Burittsu spoke up, “Yeah I did get hurt i’m reckless I know.” Genbu felt bad for hurting Burittsu as they were just sparring for fun. "Good job, Burittsu. I hope I didn't cause you too much pain," Genbu said apologetically.  Although he felt bad, he knew it had to be done to end the fight quickly. His jaw was in quite a bit of pain from Burittsu jab to the chin. He would definitely need to put some ice on it when he got home to stop the swelling. "You got a good one in on me, I'll give you that," Genbu said to Burittsu.

Genbu watched as Burittsu nursed his injury while sitting. Burittsu began to chuckle, and stood himself up completely once more. He dusted off the sand and dirt from his parachute pants. He finished dusting himself off and began to head towards the path back to the village. “Genbu I got to go explore around the village find new and stronger friends till next time," said Burittsu he waved back at Genbu. Genbu waved back, seeing his new friend off. As he watched Burittsu walk away, his stomach began to growl. "Time to get some food!" Genbu thought to himself. "I'm gonna have the biggest sushi roll when I get home!" He went over to the log where he had set his cloak, and picked it back up. Since it was still quite hot, he figured he would just carry his cloak home rather than wear it.

Genbu began to walk home along the same path. Burittsu seemed to have moved quite quickly as he could no longer see him further down the path. While he walked, he reflect on his interesting meeting with Burittsu. His newest friend seemed to be a hot head, which was quite ironic given his ability to control ice. "That fight definately might have gone in a different direction had he been able to use jutsu on me," Genbu thought to himself. "I will definitely have to keep an eye out for him in the future. He could be a powerful ally in the future if he learns to control his anger." Genbu continued his walk home, proud of his achievement for the day. "Maybe I should run into people more often," Genbu thought to himself as he chuckled quietly under his breath in the shade of the trees.
