A week before Kenji would leave for Kiri he was assigned a mission with his former teammate ... Etsuo. The assignment was given to him by a peculiar man, but the pay was good so Kenji accepted. By some means he had come to learn about the two shinobi, Kenji was flattered. Words couldn't describe the shock of being teamed up with Etsuo though. It had been something like 5 years since Squad Samsara was disbanded, and all the members branched off to their own campaigns. His interest was definitely peaked; he wanted to catch up with Etsuo and to see how they would work together on their mission.

Kenji was suited up. His Supa Hane Katana was on his hip and he had his kunai and shuriken on various spots on his person. He was standing in a small building, the exterior resembled a small cabin. This was where he was to meet Etsuo. Kenji placed his crossbow and quiver on the center table and took a seat. The hardwood floor was buffed remarkably as it shone with a spectacular gloss. The Jounin could see his reflection on the floor. The decor was dreadfully dull, as the walls were only adorned with basic landscape paintings.

Kenji reached in his bag that lied on the floor to retrieve the mission scroll. He unrolled it on the table beside his weapons and began to read the contents once more.

It had been a long time since Etsuo had been with those that were among him in his squad, five years ago, but he knew as they disbanded that they each would be confident and outstanding shinobi, however Etsuo ,he felt was the one that grew the least as he maintained the rank of Special Jounin, however he also had no suffering, as that seemed to be something that only increased his power and the pain that he felt, the eyes of the Uchiha only grew when despair filled their view, as he also noted over this five year period that they have not changed in their appearance either. He has however learned the tricks behind these eyes and he planned to use them to be a great shinobi in his own way. So as he got to work with Kenji again, he realized that not only did he want to meet him and learn what he has been up to, he has kind of wanted to keep a small space between them so that no suffering can come between them and that his eyes would grow in power only because of the suffering he feels and befalls others.

He approached the small cabin quietly but wasn't obviously trying to hid himself for whoever was searching for him, upon him was his typical attire that really didn't change much except in size, but a large scarf was wrapped around his neck that was pure white in color, it was indeed something that was still the original, so it might appear a bit small for him, but he didn't mind. Finally, as he had changed over the five years one could note obviously everyone grew, but now, one could notice a frail attribute of Etsuo. An attribute that noted if he got hit, it was probably going to hurt him much more than the normal person but he was confident that he would stand again to face his foes even after getting hit to knock him down. The final thing that someone could probably notice is the two small puppets wrapped around his back.

As he opened to the door, he found Kenji, at least, who he recognized as Kenji observing most likely the mission scroll. "It's nice to see you again, Kenji, it's been a long time hasn't it?" He stated trying to make a nice greeting. He would wait for Kenji to return the greeting and provide anything else before continuing with other things like this mission.

As Kenji's eyes scanned the paper, he realized once again what he noticed earlier, and that was the strangeness in the format of the mission. It resembled something like... a script. Kenji scratched his head for a moment and tried to recall some of the nuances regarding the contractor and he remembered that the man, Mr. Demitri was to meet with Kenji and Etsuo. Good, this mission is confusing now that I have had time to really read it.

There was a soft creaking sound coming from the door, it opened slowly, and through it walked his former teammate, Etsuo. Kenji could not repress the small genuine smile that sparked on his face. Etsuo spoke first saying how long it had been and he was glad to see the blue hair shinobi once more. Kenji rose from his chair. "Etsuo!" Kenji exclaimed as he walked over to give him a hand shake and a pat on the shoulder. "You look well. I've heard that you fared relatively well after Squad Samsara disbanded..." He took a glance back at the table with the mission on it. He walked back and grabbed it. "what better way to get reacquainted than to take on a bizarre mission together. According to this scroll, it seems a tad unconventional. The contractor is on his way, so hopefully we can get some clarification." Kenji handed the scroll over to Etsuo.
