Summoning is a very powerful way of fighting in the Shinobi world. Instead of fighting with your own techniques, it allows you to call a companion to aid you in combat, lets you use their skills and their knowledge to aid you. To perform a summon, you must either prepare for one post (not taking any other action) to use your chakra to create the symbol for your summon, or you must purchase one-use summoning scrolls and pre-write your summoning symbols on them. While you have a summon active, it consumes chakra per post until you recall them. The cost per post depends on the rank of the summon:

D Rank: Five Chakra per post.
C Rank: Ten Chakra per post.
B Rank: Fifteen Chakra per post.
A Rank: Twenty Chakra per post.
S Rank: Twenty-five Chakra per post.
SS Rank: Fifty Chakra per post.

Summons should be applied for in your Jutsu application thread just like other techniques, except they have their own pricing and training guidelines, as well as their own template.

Summons are very powerful due to the fact that, like Shinobi, they know Jutsu and can use Chakra as well as fight with their bodies or weapons. The techniques of a summon are apped along with it. The power and amount of techniques, as well as the amount of chakra they can use depends on their rank.

D rank: 2, 1 E rank, and 1 D rank jutsu
C rank: 3, 1 E rank, 1 D rank, 1 C rank jutsu
B rank: 4, 1 E rank, 1 D rank, 1 C rank, and 1 B rank jutsu
A rank: 5, 1 E rank, 1 D rank, 1 C rank, 1 B rank, and 1 A rank jutsu
S rank: 6, 1 E rank, 1 D rank, 1 C rank, 1 B rank, 1 A rank, and 1 S rank jutsu
SS rank: 7, 1 E rank, 1 D rank, 1 C rank, 1 B rank, 1 A rank, 1 S rank, and 1 SS rank jutsu
