The sky was dim and the sun was hidden by large cloud that were lazily drifting around. Funny thing about the lack of light was that it wasn't too far off from morning. Stretching his arms up, Skye groaned slightly while waiting at the main gate. Falling backwards, he sprawled out on the ground staring upwards. He didn't get much sleep the night before. Living in Suna he experienced intense heat, in Kumo, he experienced rain for the first time, now heading to Yuki for a mission would make him experience snow. Skye always had a fascination with weather, even though he never said so aloud. Putting his hands behind his head, his eyes drifted along. Following the cloud's movements.

After a while of laying down and relaxing, he sat up and looked around. Unsure about the time, he wondered if Sano was coming soon. Having not seen his friend in a long while, it would be a treat to see how he's been. He might even be tempted to yell out "FLAK JACKET BRO" when his friend approached. Skye chuckled to himself of the ridiculous thought. The laugh was quickly silenced by a yawn. Unfortunately for Skye, he had gotten up way too early and packed up everything he might have needed for the trip in a rush. There might have been a bit too much stuff in his backpack. It looked as if it was going to explode into a giant bomb of clothes and random items he would bring along.

It was a new day as Sanosuke stirred himself awake from his bed. He turned quietly off his bed to wake himself up. After getting used to the rays of light that was coming from his leaf like doors that hung from his cave, he picked himself up. There was crust in his eyes that Sanosuke used the back of his fist to rub them out as he let out a weary and tiresome yawn. He stretched his arms upon getting up completely so he was sitting upright on his bed. The cold air came in through his cave that made him shake slightly from the cold. "Damn it's cold" Sanosuke muttered as he got out of his bed. Taking his feet down from the bed, his feet hit the cool cave floor that gave him chills right to his spine. Of all of the holidays in Kumo, winter was the coldest. It was times like these that made Sanosuke really regret having his home be in a cave.

He tried his best to cope with the cold and walked over to his closet. He slipped on his chuunin vest that he had recently acquired after being promoted. After clipping on his chuunin vest, he got out his signature short sleeved hooded overcoat on and put it over his clothing. Then he got out his cleaned black socks that he washed before sleeping the following night. His black boots that he wore was also there, and he took that so he may be able to put them back on. Once he was done, he slipped on his black backpack that held his overnight packing that he packed for the mission he and Skye were going on. They would be traveling to a distant country. It'd be the first time Sanosuke traveled to another country and so he packed enough to be ready.

He walked over to his counter so that he can get out his headband and holster. He tied his holster on his right arm, in his holster contained his two kunai. And then he tied his Kumogakure headband on his left bicep. Sanosuke used his right hand to punch his left hand and let out a smirk. "Let's get this mission on the road" Sanosuke proclaimed to himself as he waked over to his sword that was leaning on the cave's floor. He took out the sword from the wall and put it on his back.

Sanosuke walked over to the leaf like doors and passed them. Taking his time Sanosuke looked at the sky, it was so blue today even though it was kind of chilly. Sanosuke walked towards the mountain trail that would lead him to the main mountain trail that would get him to the exit of Kumogakure. That's when he saw his good friend Skye. It'd be great to see him, he hasn't seen him since the prison break mission.

"Oi FLAK BRO YOU READY FOR THIS MISSION!" Sanosuke called out pummping his fist in the air to show his good friend that he's pumped.

Skye inhaled deeply, but quickly exhaled upon hearing Sano's voice. Of course his friend yelled "Flak Bro" as expected. Skye still had no clue why that became a thing. It was an absolutely ridiculous little phrase they shared, yet it did have some purpose behind it, even if Skye didn't exactly know what it was. Slowly lifting his head up and rubbing his eyes, he scanned the direction of the familiar voice and eventually got sight of Sano. With a wide grin on his face, Skye jumped up off the ground. Straightening his back, he pumped one arm up into the air, almost mimicking Sano's initial reaction.

Skye waited for a few seconds until Sano was close enough that he didn't have to yell. "Hey man, I'm guessing you're ready to get going?" Picking up his pack, which was obviously too heavy for the long trip, he stuck it on his back and stumbled backwards for a second. As a way of hiding his slight trip up, he stretched his arms out to make it seem as if he was simply loosening his joints. This was going to a rather long trip.

Looking at Skye's bookbag, Sanosuke felt a sweat drop come down from the back of his head. It was huge! In fact Sanosuke could see various things that were sticking out of the bookbag; telling anyone who is near the parcel that staying too close to it would be dangerous because the bag might explode on them. "Uh, Skye what's with the huge bookbag?" Sanosuke asked, failing in restraining himself from asking the question. Though Skye might be on to something, packing so excessively for their mission.

Oh that's right their mission. They had a mission to escort a woman to Yukigakue so she may paint the landscape. The thought just came to him, so they weren't really going on a road trip just for the hell of it. So they were waiting for the girl. And just like that Sanosuke heard footsteps approaching both Sanosuke and Skye from right behind him. When Sanosuke turned around he saw a girl with sky blue hair with a lollipop in her mouth. She had white scarf and black leggings with a blue blouse. The girl looked rather cute and had a small messenger bag on her left side and what looked like an artist's knapsack hung on her right side.

No doubt that was their client that they were to be escorting. "Hello, you must be my escort" the girl said sheepishly before bowing "My name is Lisa, it's good to meet you both" the girls said and shyly smiled at both Sanosuke and Skye.

Nodding, Sanosuke smiled and waved hello "Hello I'm Sanosuke Flynt, and this is my friend Skye" Sanosuke introduced him and Skye to his client. In the past, Sanosuke had to admit that he didn't have much success in the department where it concerned ladies. A chick named Fiona liked him but yet to go on a date with him, and then there was the date that went wrong with Ai so Sanosuke decided that he would try his best to just let this be straight business.

When they were all ready to leave, Sanosuke walked with Lisa with Skye in their company to the ship where they got on board. While they were on the boat, Sanosuke got some time to spend with the girl and learned about her and in turn Sanosuke told bits about himself; she even taught him a bit about drawing. Then some thugs interrupted his drawing lesson by getting to familiar with Lisa and that resulted in 7 thugs getting 7 large bumps on his head because of a sword protectively coated in chakra striking their heads.

By the time they got to the land of Snow, it was dawn and Sanosuke walked her to the shining sea. The painting was quite good in Sanosuke's opinion. It consisted of a sunset of the water coming down on the sun so that it shun beautifully against the waters of Yukigakure. Even thought it was a drawing, Sanosuke couldn't help but feel warmth from the painting. Lisa promised to give Sanosuke a copy of the painting for him if she sees him in Kumo.

Skye gave a nervous grin, then proceeded to switch his view from his backpack to his friend. There was no doubt Sano was concerned about the clothing filled time bomb on his back. "Did I bring too much?" Laughing slightly to ease his nervousness, he exhaled and adjusted his backpack. "I think the only reason I brought so much was because I have no clue what snow is. I only recently found out what rain was when I got here. From what I've heard... It's frozen water..." With another quick chuckle, he turned his head at the sound of another's voice.

From what he saw, this girl was good looking. Though he immediately took his mind off the girl's looks and his backpack and started to focus on the mission. The girl introduced herself as Lisa, though she sounded kind of shy. Before he was able to utter a word, Sano introduced himself as well as Skye. With his name being stated, he stuck his hand up and waved it for a quick moment. "Hi." This mission was going to be easy, but time-consuming.

After greetings were exchanged they headed off to the docks and got on the boat that was to take them to Yuki. Skye examined the boat as he passed it. The vessel was nothing to scoff at. It looked in pretty good conditions according to what Skye thought, and Skye definitely wasn't a boat expert. Slowly making his way onto the boat with Sano and Lisa close by, he found an available seat that was close to Lisa and sat down. The mission took priority over all other issues. The trip took a while, but they eventually made it to the land of snow. Skye stood up and looked out at the land. The ground was covered in snow. It was an interesting sight to Skye. he had never see something like snow. The boat landed and Lisa stood up. She seemed happy to be home. Turning his head, he looked over at Sano and grinned. "Well, looks like the mission was a success. I guess we stay here for a bit then go back to Kumo, eh?"
