Her parents had told her to do all that she could to help out her village; so that's exactly what she was going to do. She wanted to make her family proud, her brother included, and if this was how she could do it, then she was willing to do any mission handed her way. Without complaint, I might add. She knew she had training later on; as she did almost every single day, so she left the house early; heading straight to the administrative building without wasting any time.
She was practically skipping as she entered the room and walked up to the paper-heavy desk. "What do you have for me to do today?", she asked, bright cheery smile in place. She was handed a piece of paper with the details of her task on it, and sent on her way. She paused in the hallway reading over what mission had been placed before her: Village Maintenance, she was to fix up the village, repaint what needed repainted, and do simple repairs on the buildings that also needed them. 'Joy-fucking-sex.', she thought to herself as she walked down the hall and left the administrative building.
She headed for the site where she knew the materials to be as she looked over the small list of repairs and other such things that needed to get done. This was going to take most of the afternoon which meant she'd be training into the night more than likely. Ah well, she needed to get some missions under her belt; do the things she needed. Reaching the site she looked over her list one more time, picking a task slightly further own the list; painting over some graffiti. It was simple enough as it listed the location and the color that was going to be needed.
She folded the list up and slipped it into her pocket before going over to pick out the color - an off white almost beige color - and some paint brushes. According to the information it wasn't going to be a huge paint job; so no point to break out the rollers and such. She took off from that point, going just around the corner and slightly down the street. It was easy enough to spot the area that needed painting; graffiti that looked like it was made by some sort of child because of the sloppiness of the nature was spray-painted onto the outside wall of a beige colored building.
She popped the top of the can of paint, dipped her brush in, and got to work. Brush up. Brush down. Brush up. Brush down. Dip the brush back into the paint can to get some more paint on it, then repeat. It didn't take long at all, of course, given it was an area of two feet by three feet that actually needed painted. She reached down when she was finished, popping the lid back onto the can and grabbing up the brush.
She walked the supplies back to the site, placing both in their appropriate places. She looked to the man who seemed to be in charge as she wiped a drop of sweat from her forehead. "Anything else you need help with right away?" She figured she'd ask, in case there was something important that needed to be done at that moment, compared to checking the list.
"Just do me a favor and deliver that small bag of bricks down the block. You'll see the guys working, they're a few houses down from that building you were painting. They're just patching a hole and are running low. Then you can take off.", the man said, pointing to the canvas bag in question.
Nanalie nodded and strapped the bag onto her back without hesitation. Hard work! Yay! With a grunt she lifted it up, and started walking, carrying the heavy load back the way she had just came. He was right, and she spotted the workers in question, who seemed as if they had been on their way back to grab another load when they spotted her. Several of the gentlemen ran over, relieving her of her load with great thanks.
She gave a nod, a smile, and a wave, and then took back off... heading to turn in, and given the way her stomach was beginning to growl, to grab a bite to eat, too.
