It has been determined that this rōnin should be interrogated first for any potential information regarding other bandits or disloyal shinobi prior to this. It's unexpected for this rōnin to have any useful information, and so the true purpose of this interrogation is to provide other shinobi with a live subject to hone their skills in the arts of torture and information gathering. Location: Kirigakure, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 300 Ryo
Mission Description: A number of samurai from Kibo are stationed as an official military force in Kirigakure. As the majority of the defense of Kirigakure is taken care of by shinobi these samurai are often left without anything to keep them occupied, and are occasionally found engaging in debauchery and degenerate behavior. The corporal punishment that these drunken samurai inevitably receive has been the cause of tensions between Kirigakure and Kibo in the past. To prevent things from getting out of hand, shinobi are often hired to ensure the samurai are kept in check.
Spend the day keeping watch on a group of samurai from a distance and ensure they do not engage in any illegal behavior without harming them or engaging in conflict.

Despite this many merchants feel that it's better to be safe than sorry, and often hire lower ranked shinobi to ensure the safety of their vessels. The father of this child has recently requested for a shinobi to act as a temporary caretaker for the child, and that he was willing to pay the cost of a C-Rank mission instead of a D-Rank for what should be a trivial matter in itself is suspicious. Mission name: Pearl Diving
Mission rank: C-Rank
Objective: Go diving in search of pearl producing mollusks.
Location: Terumi-shi, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 300 Ryo
Mission Description: Despite the advent of oyster farms and cultured pearls there is still a desire for "natural pearls" among the elderly population of Kirigakure who are suspicious of these "fake" pearls. Go out on a pearling boat into the sea and dive down in search of mollusks. Reaching these shellfish can require swimming over 100 feet down, and often thousands of oysters can be gone through without finding a single pearl. Medical conditions from the sudden pressure changes that come with diving can also result in the bends and shallow water blackout. That is, assuming you don't just drown.
Good luck.

Whales primarily provide for meat and blubber, which can be turned into whale oil, but nearly every part of their body is valuable in some way. Their bones can be used in the production of corsets, and their tendons have numerous uses. Ambergris, a substance found in whale intestines, is worth more than ten times its weight in silver, and is commonly used in perfumes. A whaling expedition is being planned out of Terumi City, which will travel up into the Bay of Storms to search for whales, using the Dolphin Islands as a base of operations. Assist them in their expedition and help reduce any potential complications when it comes to locating, killing, and processing the whales.

Mission rank: C-Rank
Objective: Stop a drunken bar fight from getting out of hand.
Location: Terumi-shi, Mizu no Kuni
Reward: 300 Ryo
Mission Description: Bar fights regularly happen in Terumi City, owing to the massing amount of sailors who are all too eager to spend their pay on rum and liqueur. To an extent these are considered a regular part of life, but that doesn't prevent the owners of these bars from trying their hardest to stop them from happening. Many have taken to paying shinobi as bouncers of sorts, so they can stop any potential drunken mischief before it starts. Seriously injuring anyone or killing will result in a failed mission.
