It wasn’t often that the Sasaki heir found himself within Kumogakure’s marketplace, in fact it was his first time ever exploring the area. Being nobility allowed one a few perks and among those perks was the ability to have someone else do your groceries for you. Today, however, the golden eyed boy decided it he had nothing else better to do. It was the weekend and he had found himself on a rare day off. Having just come home from a B-rank mission the the other day, he was now free to do whatever his heart desired. Usually he would be spending all of his free time, both night and day, in the act of honing his skills as a shinobi. What his heart desired right now was to simply be allowed back in his family's dojo and train. Ever since he had lost to Aikiko Uchiha, he had been obsessed with increasing his power, spending each waking moment to better himself in all aspects. Whenever his body gave in and refused to move, he simply crawled his way to the family library where he began to read on other great clans within the world, refusing to ever come upon another instance where his enemy's skill would be unknown to him. Eventually though, the unhealthy obsession he obtained was caught on by the sparring partners he brutalized in his training and the family members that lay sleepless due to the sound of his midnight practice. All in all, they united to tell Kyousuke’s mother of his sins, she then outright banned him to train for one whole day, telling him to go outside and actually live. And so here he was, trying his best to get through the twenty four hour ban.

Swords rattling with each step, the boy walked the markets, looking at each stall. Though he was unable to train, his twin blades remained attached to each side of his hip as if a part of his body. As a swordsman and a member of the Sasaki clan, it would have been disgrace were he ever caught without at least one sword on his person. The heir looked to the list of fruits and vegetables that he had offered to purchase. His eyes wandered, looking for the stall that seemed to have the most goods present on his list. Finding one suitable, he walked up and rolled up his sleeves to his elbows, revealing a seal. The seal acted as a watchful eye, preventing him from sneaking in training anywhere else from his dojo. He wasn't told what would happen were he to go against the seal, yet he didn't wish to find out.

Right hand reaching for an apple, his eyes searched for the vendor. “Excuse me? I'm looking to buy something.” He said aloud, hoping to gain the attention of whoever it was that tended to the stall. His left hand dug into his pockets, taking the list of groceries he was meant to purchase.

It was a dreary day, the sky overcast and grey with the sun barely peeking through. Bad enough was it that Ibara had to tend to the stall on this day rather than sitting beneath the warm lamp that simulated sunlight that she had placed near her reading chair. One of the few bearable things about tending to this stall every weekend was that spot of sun she could sit in that slid across her stall every day. Sitting in it from the moment it would light the sky and sliding the chair as it would move in the sky to stay in that golden ray. Today was altogether different. Having rained the night before, the humid scent of rain on concrete and stone would fill the streets. Pools would remain, as the hidden sun would not heat the earth quite enough to evaporate them. Gray skies would look as though they might release another downpour at any moment. Yet still, she she was moping quite unhappily in the chair set up within her stall. A stall that she rather desperately wanted to leave behind and never tend to again, but did not know quite how to let go of the family she couldn't even remember. Only for them was why she maintained it, not because she needed the income or desired to keep its value. In fact, she often went without collecting payment for any her goods, letting people take what they need for free. If it were up to her she would live in solitude and provide for herself, for she could tend to all of her needs alone.

Usually she would have a book laying open before her on the table at the front of the stall, but today she had left it behind in her library at home due to a concern that a storm might form at any time. Not only would her slouching body language and downturned face portray her discomfort, but it would even seem that the flower the rested on her right cheek looked less lively than normal. Milky white petals with stripes of pink down the center would seem to droop, rather than outstretched in full bloom. Cheek resting on her palm, she would lean propped up by her elbow on the table. Her other hand would idly form various seals as she would inspect a small floral plant in terracotta pot before her as it would cycle between life and death. Starting as a sprout from the damp earth it would shoot upwards with different stems shooting out, then the budding leaves and blooms rapidly growing before  bursting open. Just as they would reach full bloom, it would stop growing at the alarming rate. In a fraction of a second, every petal and leave would dry and curl up, their brown carcasses drifting down into the dirt below. Stems and stalks would dry and crumble away, leaving nothing for a moment before another bright green sprout would burst forth. This had taken a long time to master, as least with such speed. Now it would be second nature to her to manipulate the plant life surrounding her with ease.

So entranced she was on her project, or perhaps purposely unobservant to the rest of the world, Ibara would not do so much as nod her head as a man would approach and pluck something from the various filled racks of produce her stall contained. He would look around, trying too see who it was who ran the stall, though it would be easy to overlook her as she was tucked away in a corner beside a rather leafy potted plant. “Excuse me? I'm looking to buy something”, Ibara would sigh as the man approached would speak to her, or to anyone within the stall. With a second, even heavier sigh, she would turn her head to the approaching customer and stand. As she did, the man would dig around in his pocked and pull a folded handwritten list, likely a shopping list if she were to guess. Pulling the loose knit pale pink cardiagan closer around her to ward off the cold, she would look sourly and the man(though not due to any action on his, she truly was miserable without the sun bright in the sky), and mumble, “What were you looking for?” Shrugging to herself she would pause for a moment before speaking again, “You know. . .take whatever you want.”

The barely audible sound of a sigh brought his golden eyes to the corner where a lone figure sat shrouded underneath the shade provided by the stall. Though the lack of sunlight didn’t help him in identifying the merchant, he could at the very least tell that they were no excellent salesperson. When most merchants would have been clamoring to separate themselves from the myriad of like minded vendors and draw attention to their stall, this one had the gall to make an audible gesture of annoyance towards him, the customer. Had the stall’s product not have been a grade significantly higher than that of its competition, he would have walked away then and there frustrated. Luckily for this person, the produce they offered were almost unnaturally perfect, as if completely handcrafted for the delight of others. Another sigh, heavier and much more blatant than the last tested his patience to its limits, it was as if this person was now asking him to leave. He needed to have a word with whoever this person was. Finally the figure addressed him, turning to face the heir and rising from her relaxed position. As she slowly stood herself to meet his eye line, the heir prepared himself for the rant of a lifetime. He would lecture her on a great deal of subjects that had been drilled within him as a child and should have likewise been taught to her as she was an infant, the first few of which being manners, the proper way to greet strangers, and… and-... and suddenly all such thoughts melted away from his mind like butter underneath the warm sun.

Her white hair flowed in the wind like clouds from the skies above, her single visible eye captivating him as they met his golden gaze with her pink. The flower that covered half of her face intrigued him and within an instant the Sasaki soon found himself completely enthralled by her beauty. Jaw nearly dropping to the ground, he was completely breath taken. The occasional cold breeze passed, forcing the girl to retreat to her matching pink cardigan. Expression still wrought with what seemed to be annoyance, it was something that all of a sudden bothered him no longer. “What were you looking for?” The girl asked. Her words were one that caused a skip within the young Sasaki heart, immediately causing him to turn his eyes to the side in light panic that she had caught on to his thoughts. His cheeks were flushed, pretending to look at a random object to his right while he gathered his composure. “You know. . .take whatever you want.” She'd say suddenly, causing him to realize that she had been asking about his shopping inquiries. Somehow, he had managed to completely forget his purpose for being at the stall.

A faint and embarrassed smile written on his face, he closed his eyes and shook whatever had caused such thoughts to pop up inside his head. His cheeks returned to normal, expression becoming blank, still like water. The heir returned his eyes back to the lady to answer her question, and immediately the blush he had thought to have shaken off returned on his face as he looked her in the eye. He bit his inner lip, forcing himself to focus on the pain before his smile could do the same and return. “I…” He struggled to find the right words to say, still embarrassed by his sheepish actions. He crumpled the shopping list within his hand and returned it to the pocket of his coat. Hidden beneath his pockets his left hand formed to the shape of a single hand seal. Kai. Chakra flowed throughout his body, expelling all stupidity from within and returning the arrogant young heir. “In that case… could I take you out for a walk?” He asked confidently, yet immediately fell back to looking at the cloudy skies. “I know the weather isn't really ideal for a stroll, but you seem like you could use some relaxation.” Removing the black leather glove from his right hand, he stretched out his arm to the white haired girl gesturing for a handshake. “I am Kyousuke of the Sasaki clan, it is nice to meet you.” He said, introducing himself to finally find out her name

As most interactions often began with Ibara, it seemed as though the conversation to follow would be an unpleasant one as an expression of irritation was the first one she saw. Handsome and tall, a raven haired man with set of eye that would for a moment even captivate her. Almost as if they radiated their own light, each golden hued iris shimmered despite the dreary day. Though it had seemed that he had much to say, instead he would be staring at her mouth hanging slightly open. It was an amusing sight, as always. Sometimes it was an unexpected scent from the piece of captivating flora upon her cheek, other was the curves she were fortunate to have. These two things often were the first, and only, traits people would be able to appreciate of Ibara’s as her personality was so repugnant that it turned people away before they could become close to her. Still, it would suprise her that despite her best attempts at seeming disinterested and dismissive the man would not seem to shy away from the conversation or snap at her for her attitude as most who had not met her would. After her less than pleasant offer to just take whatever he wanted, again she would be taken off guard at the not-so-unpleasant response. A slight smile, flushed cheeks, and eyes so bright it seemed they were colored with flecks of gemstones. Though no more words would be spoken immediately, Ibara would watch with interest as a whole spectrum of expressions would take their turn on his face. The smile would turn into a blank gaze, and the flush would start to return and a twinge of what almost looked like pain.

“I. . .”, the young man would seem to find himself speechless, and almost to fill the void of silence he would crumple what sounded like a scrap of paper and shove it deep into his pocked. What she couldn't see of course, was the discreet seal he would from. Not too perceptive nor in tune with the detection of chakra, Ibara was unaware of the use of kai the man would perform. It wouldn't be the first time she had had that reaction either, though she was never aware of it. That alluring scent that wafted around her was so specified for each person that it was often thought to be a genjutsu being used to catch them off guard. If it was in fact a genjutsu however, Ibara was entirely unaware of that fact and made no effort to cause it to happen. It was the plant that thrived within her body that emmited the scent, and it had done nothing to indicate that it was anything more than just that; a smell suited to each individuals favorite of that sense. Regardless of the lack of true ability at work here, whatever he had done had cleared his mind enough to actually speak,“In that case… could I take you out for a walk?” Ibara would blink in disbelief, now it was her who was speechless. Even just the few words she had spoken before had been more than enough for her, now she would be shocked that another being would willfully subject themselves to being in her presence. Ibara however was so inexperienced in this sort of interaction she would make a sort of coughing choking noise and her own cheeks would flush surprisingly red in contrast to her pale face and dusty rose hued attire.

“I know the weather isn't really ideal for a stroll, but you seem like you could use some relaxation.”, Still, ever more polite. Watching every movement with his single eye, Ibara would stand stark still and nearly shaking as he would slide the fitted glove from his hand and extend it towards her. Ibara had no clue what to do, and would stare at the extended hand still blinking in an expression somewhere between shock and terror. Perhaps part of her aggressive exterior was a coping mechinism for a lack of social skills and ability to interact with others, if she were able to keep them away to begin with she would not need to deal with the ordeal of re-learning how to be a normal sociable being. “I am Kyousuke of the Sasaki clan, it is nice to meet you.”, His words would seem to snap her back to reality though it made it no easier for her to speak nor to act on that hand that had seemed like it was extended forever. Hoping that what she had managed to see despite her best attempts to ignore all people in the market was correct, she would extend her own delicate hand and take his, though the movement was not a concept she understood so she would just stand there awkwardly, her hand in his and unsure of what to do now. “Ibara. . . Senju. And. . uh. . You as well”, her words did not come easily, and she knew that just as she had finished less than a dozen words the next ones would likely come no easier. “I suppose a walk would be nice, If you are sure. . .”, Ibara felt as though she needed to offer him the ability to opt out of spending time with her, because as much as she would like to be left entirely alone she couldnt bring herself to directly turn down an offer from one who had interested her far more than nearly anyone else she had ever met. Tilting her head slightly as she would ask, her face closer to a smile than it had been in some time even though that only meant a corner of an upturned smile, “Where would you like to go?”

The first words he had spoken were ones that would leave her cheeks flushed. It seemed as though she had been caught off guard, coughing and choking for a moment out of sheer surprise before she could gather her composure. It wouldn’t be until she would seem to relieve herself of choking when he would finally continue speaking. The heir stretched his hand out to greet her and introduce himself in a manner that befitted his title, though it would take some time before she would reciprocate. For a good duration she simply stared at him with her single pink eye as if in deep thought or contemplation. Her body then began to shake ever so slightly, still enough to the point that worried Kyousuke. He was unsure of what to do next, eyes watching her every breath as he began to have thoughts on retracting his hand. He began to wonder if his sudden request had intimidated her, but slowly she began to reach out and take his hand. For a moment he would simply look at her, flashing a smile as he began to awkwardly guide her through the motions of a basic handshake. He held her hand firmly, yet still managed to be delicate, shaking her hand up and down twice. It was then that she would finally speak and make her name known to the young man. “Ibara. . . Senju. And. . uh. . You as well” Immediately the heir’s attention would be drawn to the latter part of her name, having just so recently brushed up on his Uchiha history the name ‘Senju’ was one that he had grown familiar with by now. They were the Uchiha’s opposite, a strong clan with roots to Konoha. Nowadays they had become specialist in Mokuton. Suddenly he realized just why it was her fruits were so much above than that of the competitors. None of that seemed fair, but luckily he had no stake in the fruit and vegetable stands.

“I suppose a walk would be nice, If you are sure. . .” To his surprise she would accept his offer even asking him again just to be certain he was sure of his request, an unexpected response with the warriness she had shown just moments ago but a welcome one nonetheless. He gave out a warm smile and nodded to assure her doubts, “I am sure, Ibara. After all it is not everyday that I get the pleasure of making a Senju’s acquaintance.” He said, retracting his hand and offering his left arm out for her to hold on to, hopefully this time it was a gesture more obvious than the last. “Where would you like to go?” She asked, just as he placed his arm out. It was a good question, frankly he hadn’t thought that far ahead when he had asked her out on a walk. He looked up to the gray skies, feigning thought when in reality he had no specific place in mind. “I think I know a place you might find amusing.” It was a bluff, one made with the intention to walk her around the village and claim whatever area that seemed to interest her, if it failed then he would simply bring her to one of his favorite spots in Kumogakure. Either way, all he wanted was the opportunity to get to know the white haired lady.

“Here, take my arm. I’ll lead the way.” If he hadn’t made it obvious enough, he had done so even more. From there he would stand in place, golden eyes looking towards her curious to see whether she would oblige. After he’d take her away from the market district, walking wherever there seemed to be the least amount of people in order to allow them the privacy to speak freely. “If you don’t mind me asking, Ibara. Why is a member of the Senju clan running a stall in the markets?” He said, passing the time as he would bring her to one of the higher districts that allowed a peaceful view of the lower mountains.
