Episode 1: An Extra Pair of Eyes! A mysterious kunoichi appears!
Having been assigned to a trivial task, Akaneya feels as though she's being wasted by the leadership of Konoha, who are too cautious to allow her to undertake serious work. However, her partner and supervisor is a mysterious Mist kunoichi going by the name of Zhi. Little does Akaneya know about Zhi's real purpose for being in Konoha.
Episode 2: Protection Duty! We meet again!
On her most recent mission, Akaneya finds herself partnered with Zhi once again. The friction between the two grows and they begin to butt heads, until their objective forces them to work together. Learning to appreciate one another more, they tie up loose ends and complete their mission. Zhi offers to treat Akaneya to some ramen following their completion.
Episode 3: Table Talk! Secrets of the hidden seal!
After finishing their last mission, Zhi invites Akaneya to a bowl of ramen - a dish the young kunochi has never experienced before. Things quickly take a downward turn as Zhi realizes the pair are being watched, and soon learns it is because Akaneya is a foreigner with an ancient cursed seal. Zhi makes a crucial offer to Akaneya that could change her fate forever, and the two bond more as Zhi begins to see a softer, more human core to Akaneya's stern outward persona.
Episode 4:
The Great Esc-APE! A new partner?
Akaneya is paired with an eager kunoichi named Chiaki, her polar opposite in many ways. The pair are tasked with capturing an escaped ape before it can cause damage to the villagers and the countryside. Will they be able to reconcile their differences, or will the contrast be too much to bear?
Episode 5:
It's a date! (Part I) The Red String of Fate!
Chiaki invites Akaneya to a ramen meal to celebrate their success, and she agrees. However, the two don't have the same understanding of the situation. When a light bit of shopping comes into the mix, they will have to find the perfect mix of practical and stylish to meet both of their needs.
Episode 6:
It's a date! (Part II) The Green Thumb of Nature!
Following a quick meal of ramen, Akaneya and Chiaki take a quiet walk in the woods. When Akaneya shows Chiaki a hidden enclave, she is overwhelmed. Sparks fly, but is it doomed from the start?
Episode 7:
Yoga at Sunset! A relaxing afternoon!
Chiaki invites Akaneya to a quiet day of stretches and light exercise at her apartment. The two women get to know one another, but dark things left unsaid hover over the meeting. Akaneya can never escape the ghosts of her past.
Episode 8:
Surprise! Happy Birthday!
Akaneya has never celebrated her birthday, and plans to spend it quietly alone like she does every year. Chiaki puts a wrench in this plan, though, and sets up a private surprise for her. When Chiaki finally starts bending Akaneya's limits, will she break?
Episode 9:
Finale! Ghosts of the Past!
Akaneya is sent to the Land of Rice as part of a mission of espionage. When she assumes her old identity, she must face the shadows that have loomed over her for years. Will she get lost in the darkness, or brought into the light?

Guanyin Chiaki
Akaneya first met Chiaki as a partner on a mission to recapture an escaped zoo animal. She was somewhat impressed by Chiaki's effectiveness, courtesy, humility, and timeliness, as well as how well their skillsets worked together. Chiaki fell into a deep crush, while the oblivious Akaneya attempted to court favor to ensure future success in missions - seeing that a long-term partner with good relations could be a useful asset. However, Chiaki let her eagerness get the better of her, and gave Akaneya a loving kiss. In mutual uncertainty and confusion, the two moved on with their lives.
Some time later, with a handful of encounters between, Chiaki invited Akaneya to a quiet, relaxing day at her apartment, doing stretches, yoga, and general light exercise. This evolved into something more personal, though. As they began to learn a bit more about one another, dark shadows loom over the pair. The day ends without much fuss and Akaneya is sent home content, growing more appreciative of her partner.
Some time later, Akaneya's birthday comes around. Having slipped it into conversation casually, Chiaki prepares a break from Akaneya's lonely traditions and plans a surprise. Although starting innocently enough, Chiaki's infatuation takes front stage once more. Akaneya, disarmed in her personal space, finally tells her origins to Chiaki. Left feeling vulnerable and exposed, Chiaki promises to be with her no matter what.

Following the life-changing events of Akaneya's mission to the Land of Rice, there is a new life to their relationship. Although she can't quite pin it down, they both understand that there is something between them. Akaneya begins to take a more active role in their dynamic, and acknowledges her feelings for Chiaki.
Dragged to a festival in a distant land, Akaneya and Chiaki choose to instead spend their vacation together. Chiaki introduces Akaneya to her first intimate experiences, and she begins to breathe life once more into a piece of her that had long ago withered and decayed. Although she finds it difficult to comprehend these new feelings and pleasures, Akaneya feels more confident with Chiaki by her side to undo her programmed aversion to all matters romantic.
