Our Bread and Butter: Basic Needs : D-rank Mission:

The day began unlike any other day as the small white fur was blowing and flowing in the wind while some black hair was also flowing through the air ever flowing as if growing as they just lay there relaxing and passing the day by. As they began to stir with the twitch of a single toe and the movement of a single paw as the two rolled onto their sides and then yawned a bit as the grass continued to rise, or was it that the sun was rising as the two just looked really tired as Makoto got up to his feet slowly as his feet gripped the grass and dirt of the ground as he stood, Ashe did the same his paws settling into the firm grass as the padding pressed down and the grass made a gap between the paws of Makoto's new partner as they then stood up preparing for their gathering mission as they made their way out into the fields to do some foraging in the designated areas as the wolf pup was not able to do much, as Ashe found a little rabbit and began to chase it around the fields. Makoto yawned for a bit and then through kunai in front of the rabbit scaring it, however the rabbit would soon face its end as it got pounced by the small and fluffy wolf pup Ashe taking it down as Ashe bit the rabbit on the neck as Makoto came closer as the poor rabbit looked up with begging eyes as it seemed to still be alive. Makoto then proceeded to stab it in the eye as it died after making a yelping sound as he tossed the rabbit into the bag and then slung it over his back and moved towards some berry bushes.

Makoto opened up the guide book to see which one of these berries were poisonous as Ashe proceeded to move near one of the berries Makoto patted on Ashe's head letting her know it was not okay as they went through with the foraging the young Ashe kept a close vigil looking all around while wagging that bushy tail. This could be an easy mission and this was all for the sake of making Ashe stronger through experience and the same could be said about Makoto as well as they had to prepare for the upcoming exams as a duo. Makoto understood the meta or at least what he felt was a meta, if one had to understand what a meta was it was what could be considered the best combination of techniques to get victory, in this case Makoto was the carry who had to carry Ashe with him into battle until the day Ashe was big enough to carry him in the jungle. For now until the little Ashe got big and strong he would be support as Ashe began to cut some herbs off some nearby trees as these were edible herbs though they had a strange shape and should never be smoked as he continued with the mission wondering if he would make it all in time.

Working really hard Ashe found a few more rabbits, but too many rabbits would be a waste so Makoto killed two more and placed it in the bag as it seemed to be getting a bit heavy. They foraged around and eventually came across a wild bunch of carrots which seemed suspicious, but considering this was a designated safe area for genin it probably made sense that these were more like natural farms in the wild as he pulled out four or five carrots as ashe managed to dig out one more extra one. When all was said and done he proceeded to make his way back as he began to wonder if things would really go well at this point as Makoto began to head back towards the village with the supplies as he really wondered if Ashe would be more then a support and start to carry them some day.

After that they made their way there and began to hand in the supplies required for the mission as they did some general foraging with the carrots, the rabbits and some berries and other edibles that he had separated as he was not one hundred percent certain, but he had some mushrooms he got along the way as well and mentioned that he was not completely certain of their safety for consumption. Either way the mission was complete at he decided to go home with Ashe today and patted her to congratulate her on a job well done.
