The day was like any other day as Makoto ventured forth through the unknowns of the bazaar obtaining small items here and there as he prepared for the upcoming exams. It was then that he found someone looking at him intensely as he moved closer the face looked unfamiliar and then it barked at him as he thought about it for a second, this might be a useful tool for helping by time to cast ninjutsu in the future, meanwhile the wolf pup looking back at him thought that this cute little boy did not look as scary as those kids earlier who either glared at him or hugged him like crazy only to take small cute kittens or other pets like snakes and so on as Makoto looked at the bazaar owner and then at the wolf and asked a question.

"What is that?", as he pointed to the obvious wolf pup as the man replied, "White Timber Wolf, they grow up to get really big you know, so not sure your parents would be okay with you keeping one of these in your...", as Makoto just placed the payment on the table and said. "I will take her, does she have a name?" as he tilted his head and said. "I just call it runt, or whitey, but name it whatever you want as long as you paying"

With that said Makoto picked up the wolf pup from its box and noticed there was a barely visible chain that he had not seen earlier as the man removed it and with that they went out on adventure as he began to talk to the little white wolf. "You will train with me, you will get big and strong and you will do your best or I am throwing you away" as the wolf did not fully understand, but had gotten the gist of what was said and that was to do her best and to be useful and with that they got to a secluded area as Makoto dropped the wolf pup and said. "Follow me" as he began to jog a bit, the wolf pup followed and it was soon clear this would not be that easy for the wolf pup as they began running back and forth and up and down.

Makoto running all the way to the one end of the field of grass as the wolf pup struggled behind him and then back again as the wolf pup followed him all the time. "Your name is going to be Ashe, because you slow" as they kept running back and forth and up and down some more and more and even more then the more from before as they kept going on until more could not longer be more anymore.

All around in circles they went as the training had only just began as he reached a higher level then ever before. At least it is how makoto felt as the wolf pup began to slow down as Makoto stopped with a look of disappointment as the wolf pup collapsed at his feet. Makoto just felt it was okay and picked up the wolf pup and off they went to do even more training more and more this time.

As they got to his home the real battle began as he glared at the wolf pup. "No making a mess and... stop looking at me like I am going to look after you, go look after yourself I am sleepy now." After everything was said and done Makoto went to sleep in his room and Ashe just explored his home looking in the shower then the kitchen and eventually she just climbed on top of Makoto to take a nap after which he hugged her then rolled over onto his side and then she yelped and realized she was now trapped and they both slept like that.

When Makoto woke up and so too did Ashe it was time for the training to begin as they went outside. The first thing he did was attempt to teach Ashe chakra flow, did not go too well as he kept scolding the poor pup. They then began with ninjutsu and to that extent they were able to get to a certain point as they kept performing continuous hand seal combinations which were much harder for a poor wolf pup who had paws instead of hands. They kept at it as he also tried to find an elemental affinity for the wolf pup as he put the piece of paper on the floor.

"Ashe lay your paw on it, do it now. Stop looking at me..." as this was a small scuffle between the two Ashe surrendered to the treatment and pawed the card which became wet. With that confirmed they would once again continue training day in and day out as they tried to reach as close to perfection as they could get.

"you gotta go fast, you gotta go fast, you gotta go faster" as they kept running back and forth.

With a walk, with a jog, every single dash and every single dodge as they ran and ran like only wolf and master can as they made their way into the light and even further into the night. Running in the sun and running just to run as they fell in the mud and swam in the water, no wolf was left behind as he helped Ashe here and there to carry her to the end as they kept on with their fight there was only one thing that was certain and that was that it was time to impress and time to digress and ingest the horse of the situation.

"Never give up Ashe, you must become strong so one day you will be able to carry me into battle as I show my all powerful ninjutsu" as they kept on going with Makoto motivated and Ashe still conflicted as they kept on going and going. Makoto began to run faster and faster and train harder and harder in order to compete.

Makoto began to look back towards his pet wolf and then looked towards the sky and began to wonder once more. This was when it began to change.

"Ashe, I want to be the very best, like no one ever was" as they began running along the grassy plains as they would travel across the lands searching far and wide for jutsu. They kept on going and going and this was so repetitive, but training was done through repetition there was no escaping this fact as he continued to run even faster for even longer and even further as they kept on going and going. Step after step with foot and paw, left to right and up and down, with a bit of side to side and a tumble roll jump dodge as Ashe nearly got hit by a stray shuriken as Makoto had that look in his eyes and Ashe knew as she began to run away as he kept throwing shuriken near her to keep her from slowing down. At the same time he was picking them up along the way as well as she got a bit annoyed and stopped to turn back and pounced Makoto who got surprised as they crashed and he then caught her spinning in a twirl or dizzy and spinny as he tumbled backwards and then they found a cliff and down they went before hitting into the ground below.

"That was good Ashe" as Ashe felt better as he petted her, but he was bleeding a bit and he had a headache now as he decided to get up once more to train even harder now as he slipped to the side Ashe assisted to keep him straight even though he was too heavy. Makoto then performed some hand seals and with all that was said and done it was finally time to finish up on their training as he performed some basic hand seals again and Ashe had to copy to the best of her ability with her paws as her tail was wagging he then equipped her with a kunai in her mouth.

"Attack!" as Ashe jumped at Makoto she did not want to hurt him and then he slapped her so hard in the jaw she yelped and dropped the kunai, he then moved closer and rubbed her nose gently. "Sorry, but this is training, you have to become tougher then that, we are shinobi" as he said that he prepared again as he shouted once more, "Attack!" as she lunged towards him with the kunai he reached out to slap her again, but she tossed the kunai at his hand head butt him as he fell back with teary eyes he said. "that hurt Ashe" as he was really being a bit emotional that day, but in truth it was all part of the Makoto plan, though the crying that happened a while later was unplanned as he noticed the bleeding was not stopping as he went to the doctor with Ashe in the other arm as he got there the nurse got crazy and was bandaging his hand like crazy as he thought it was stupid how she over reacted so much for normal training wounds.

Makoto could not understand why he was not stronger as he began to look down on himself as his pet wolf just lay her head on his lap as they stayed in the hospital. It was at this time that be began to reflect on his actions as he wondered why he never created more ninjutsu, or why he could not master more scrolls or find more books or understand the ways of the world, the heart of the situation as he stayed there.

His long hair laying across the center of his forehead touching his nose as he looked down at the wolf pup looking back up at him. The source of his pain, and the source of his discomfort was something he did not understand as it became clear he would have to clear things up with himself. They stayed there peacefully and it was then that he had a strange dream with Ashe as well, while Ashe just stayed by his side he only heard three words.

'Winter is coming'

With that a large icy tundra appeared as he stood on the walls of Iwagakure as it appeared as if something was approaching in the distance, the only thing that was understood was they whatever it was would not be friendly as he looked on in fear and at his side stood a fully grown giant large dire wolf as he looked up to her he asked. "Ashe is that you?"

The only reassurance he had was the slight bow of the head showing obedience as the wolf then nudged underneath him to get him mounted. As Makoto stood on top of his battle mount watching over the fields of battle he looked on in awe as their was a strange woman riding a giant icy dragon and a polar bear with armor as they all charged for the walls shouting something like.

"For the ward!!!" as they planted a ward to give vision of the wall before dying to arrows as Makoto wondered where all these archers came from, it was at this time he had an idea, an evil idea that he should have known a lot sooner. He raised up his long sword and shield in his other arm as he started to get the flow of the dream. "Destroy their wards so they can not see!" as they charged down the wall with the supernatural pet walking practice things were looking good as they reached the bottom it was clear that they would engage in battle, the armored polar bear challenged Ashe as they clashed the bears armor blocked Ashe's bite, while the armored bear smashed Ashe in the face with brute strength he tossed his sword at the bear who flicked it out of the way as it was used to buy some time as the bear charged forth and hit Ashe hard making Makoto fall back as the bear tossed Ashe into the air setting her up for a gank from the other members charging there, her only safety would be for him to stop this bear right hear and now.

"Feel the might of my jutsu" as he performed some random hand seals that seemed to play in his head he created a water wall that blocked the other enemies ranged attacks and then he dashed in with the sword strikes he had learned from his master. The first attack was a hit and away as the bear swung back unable to hit in time, following up with a double strike to unsettle the armor and then once Ashe regained her focus she began to lunge from behind slowing down the bear as it groaned in pain he got up close and performed a water dragon ninjutsu right in the bears mouth as it exploded and a dragon went underground then sprouted forth made from water and mist as it flew into the dragon in the sky as the dragons exploded into dust as the woman who came down looked more evil and scary then anyone he had ever seen as she said to him.

"we take no prisoners child, die!!!!!!!" as she charges forth he used his ultimate defense, and before he even knew what happened a light came down from the sky and then the world seemed to be in view and half the planet was explodenated with flashing lights and bright starry skies and daylight mixed in twilight lost in the other light as this marked the end of the fight as he did not get any of it at all as it finally came to and end or did it as Makoto was still confused as large wolf ashe turned into small wolf ashe and then he woke up.

"I need to go back to sleep" as Ashe enjoyed the rest and just barked softly with a wan wan woof.

After all of this was said and done he went back into the dream state and with that he had another dream unlike the dream he had before this was more lucid or was it. As Makoto got sucked up into the shadow realm he began a duel as he drew forth his jutsu cards as he placed down two trap cards and made an end to his turn as his opponent drew their jutsu and first placed D-rank bandit A which activated his special team work ability allowing D-rank bandit B to join them and since both bandit A and B were on the battle field they were able to summon big bandit C and using that they activated the teamwork jutsu card that sacrificed the three bandits to bring forth C-rank Bandit X and then equipped him with the special item Sword of Killing Bees. With that equipped he just laughed and said, "is that all" and then the guy went. "Now, Attack his daemyo directly" as the attack was launched Makoto countered by activating his two trap jutsu. When an enemy appears on the battle field you may pay chakra to release a hidden mist that prevents the target from seeing the user making you immune to damage that turn. This was madness as the guy just sat down and ended his turn, with that said Makoto summoned Ashe the D-rank wolf in the attack as the guy laughed, though the mist was gone he still had another trap jutsu and then he activate his special jutsu mist armor to protect Ashe and then activated one more jutsu the combination technique linking him and ashe as one as they rode into battle and then he stopped right before his target.

The guy laughed on his turn he attacked and then the trap jutsu activated revealing that the target attacked was the user himself as the confusion in the mist lead to a comeback victory that was no come back at all, but Makoto did not care he was just having fun in his dreams and this they went to the Mayo region.

They woke up once more and rose up from the bed as he looked out the window as the sun showed its harsh bright light to the window of his room as he dared to look at the sun before looking away as his pet looked to him and understood as they made their way towards the battle field that we set the stage for their initiation into this world, a world of shinobi lost in darkness as he began to work harder and harder, focus stronger and stronger as his level of perception was not enough, he needed to become even stronger then he was now in order to reach a strength never before seen before. Walking out the room barefoot as the wolf pup Ashe followed closely behind him as they would make their way through the hallways and step after step and beat of every beat within the heart beat as they felt like two helpless slabs of fresh meat.

Then they just smiled on the inside and made a mad dash down the hall ways as they ran passed the nurses as their skirts flew up the perv that usually shows up could not resist as he fell inside and was then captured and beat up by some random shinobi and ladies as he kept going faster and faster as Ashe worked hard to keep up with him. They had to go faster and faster and even faster then the fastest faster can ever dream to be fast.

Makoto understood that this might be the last time he could enjoy himself, if he ever enjoyed himself in the first place as he had seen something that would not stop showing its face to him. They kept on making their way further into the battle field until eventually they discovered the truth of the situation as he began to wonder what it was that he was thinking about at this time as they escaped the hospital and ran towards the forest in order to control their fates and decide their own decisions and with all that said it was time to get even more preparations underway as time was short and life was shorter or was it the other way around.

It was too late at this point as they seemed obsessed like two demons in the wind just running and running and never stopping to stop at all as the running continued until they ran some more and even after that they ran even further and harder and the running never ever stopped because why stop running when you can run forever as they kept going sweat on their brows and in a blinding flash of light they kept going as they began to slide down another hill as he did not let history repeat itself as he grabbed Ashe and into the air they went as he used his new test item which managed to grip a tree and then it snapped as he fell down the river and crashed into the lake with Ashe as they both floated their as Ashe mastered her doggy paddle and Makoto mastered his float like a butterfly and do not sink like a shoe.

It started with just one thing that makoto did not know why, it did not even matter how hard he tried he did this training to remind himself of how he did not try hard enough. As hard as he tried to try he was just a beginner in this game of trying hard he had to try harder and if he did not try hard enough he had to go beyond that to ascend to a level beyond a try hard, he had to become a super try hard or maybe a super try hard even beyond that of a super try hard as he began trying harder and harder to show Ashe that you can never ever try hard enough, though at the same time you could try too hard as Makoto collapsed once they reached the shore line as Ashe knew the direction and began to drag Makoto by his collar struggling with all her strength to get him to the hospital in order to train further and further.

Ashe woke up in hospital again, but this time he was tied to the bed. However you could not restrain Makoto, he could not be contained as he used the rope escape technique to escape and ran off once more as they kept on running and running again and again. Ashe chased after him and then the nurse chased for a few steps before just giving up completely, this was a hopeless battle as they continued with the preparations for the exams one thing was clear Makoto could not be stopped, unless you count the wall he ran into after looking out the window at a really beautiful and brilliant ninjutsu as he crashed face first and was knocked out once more as they decided to tie him up even more this time and keep someone on guard while Ashe just lay on top of his chest as the time was passing it was clear things were coming to an end and time was really short. Could he really manage to train Ashe in time, did he train himself in time did any of this even matter as he kept contemplating needlessly and crazily as a lily in the water like a omote renge as he wondered what on earth was going on as he woke up again he was too tired to get up and decided just to sleep it off. The next day they got up and he got stopped by the nurse pointing towards breakfast as well as a bowl of milk and a light mince wolf food for Ashe, as Ashe ate he decided he might as well eat as well as he had a bowl of cereal mixed with yoghurt, custard and jelly which seemed more like dessert then breakfast as he was eating and thinking of the taste of this food he wondered if he made a jutsu that tastes horrible would that be an effective form of attack against people with strong taste or smells. He also wondered if he could use water to wash away all the dirt and filth and then create poison water in that method as these jutsu thoughts ran through his head he wondered if it was really worth it to try so hard in the first place.
