Tomohiro

Tomohiro

B-rank
The sky was drearier than usual. Dark clouds surrounded the whole of Kumogakure with almost ominous intent. The cold air swept across his face as he walked through the village trying to find something to occupy his time. He pulled his hood over his head trying to keep out the frosty breeze. Tomohiro had spent the past two hours walking aimlessly around the village. There wasn’t too much he had been interested in doing. He could have easily trained with one of his clan members, but the tensions of his clan were high. The elders of his clan, mainly his father, had called for numerous meetings to discuss the ongoings of recent events. The Nakir weren’t usually concerned with the events of the world, but his father was. Nakir Ryuu was hellbent on getting himself involved with village politics. The clan was responsible for most of the villages iron ore production. Though, they weren’t notably known for being the greatest shinobi. It was a lot of secret keeping and hands off clan tradition that kept them from the limelight.

Tomohiro agreed with his father that they should be more involved, but he felt like they should be more involved with the village’s security than anything else. He genuinely disliked Hasturs’ recent actions. What the village had did in Suna was distasteful. Though he understood why Lord Hastur would want to get involved, he disagreed with Hastur’s display of power. Tomohiro thought the events that recently occurred had gone too far for him. He thought that they should be building relationships with other villages not seeming to push for an imperial dynasty. The young Nakir took great pride in his village. It was something that he loved. Sure, it had it quirks that needed to be fixed, but it was still his village. There was no way he would want his village to digress into an inhabitable state. Jashinist zealots seemed to be more prevalent now than he could remember. Parts of the village seemed to find great distaste for the raikage, but the others placed their whole support behind him. Some refused to even acknowledge the potential problems and acted like nothing had been happening. He had never seen so much all around propaganda in his life. Not only that, some of the clan members have seemed to lean more toward the Jashinist because of friends. It was a lot to deal with.

The swordsman had qualms with many of the things that had recently erupted in his village. He could see why there were rumors of shinobi leaving and going rogue. Tomohiro didn’t believe that leaving the village was the answer. There were things that he could do here versus abroad. The number than went missing had been unknown and he wasn’t even sure how any one found out about it. He originally supported Lord Hastur as a being that could uplift the village, but he didn’t expect the uplifting to be on the verge of another war. The last thing Tomohiro wanted was to be engaged in was an international crisis. Fighting was something he enjoyed and he almost enjoyed taking the lives of criminals as he did fighting. Though, a full fledged war would hurt the village’s morale. Tomohiro planned to stick out whatever the village was going through. He had family to protect. He couldn’t just leave, but he couldn’t stay and not do anything productive.

Tomohiro was trying to clear his mind of the ongoings around him. The fact that chunin exams were coming in the midst of everything happening was a bit of a shocker for him. Tomohiro had never been to or participated in a chunin exam. Even when it was held the last few times in his village, he didn’t go. Tomohiro wanted to stay in the village for the chunin exams, but during the last meeting it was agreed that a few of the clan’s shinobi should go. Of course, he had been one of the few that had been chosen. Tomohiro disliked the fact that he would have to go to Konoha of all places. His clan had a great disdain for leaf shinobi. If the clan was big enough, he wouldn’t have been surprised if they tried to raze it to the ground. It was raze in a quite literal sense. Most of them didn’t know why they hated the leaf so much, but it was due to some old ancient feud that the clan didn’t get over. Sending only a few clan members, was probably to spy on the leaf shinobi. Tomohiro would have deal with his clan’s decision.

The Nakir kept walking as his thoughts clouded his focus. He just followed the road that he was on that happened to bring him to the battle plateau. There were quite a few kids here that had been sparring. A good number of shinobi also engaged in vigorous training. The closest group to him looked to be academy students. The oldest looked to be maybe 12 years of age. He could hear the words of the instructor as he gave directions on taijutsu. Other groups were spread throughout the battle plateau having their own spars and battles. One battle seemed to get out of hand as two shinobi were trading ninjutsu, but he looked again and it seemed like they were trying to actually learn a new technique.

Tomohiro walked around as he carefully watched the other shinobi participate in spars. A group of three genin wanted an extra person to have a doubles matches. Tomohiro respectfully declined. It would’ve been a bit unfair if he joined either team. Even though, he wouldn’t have minded taking on two genins alone. He almost suggested that he take on all three of them, but he wasn’t ready to engage in a fight at that moment. Tomohiro eventually came to a stop as he watched two genin swordsman dueled each other. They were decent and both looked like they had potential. He analyzed them from a distance as they were fighting. Tomohiro noticed the issues they had, but it didn’t look like they were going for blood. That could have been the reason for it. He sighed as he continued to watch them go after each other. The feeling in his gut said that he should train, but he was a bit conflicted.
