”How quickly today came.”, Daremo silently mused to himself while sitting up on the bed, that was being shared with another who were peacefully sleeping for the moment. Dark blue linens pooled on his lap, revealing his bare chest, covered with a few unhealable scars. With the uttermost care, Daremo reached out to caress the cheek of his lover and wife, Kaia-Mai, brushing away a few strands of her hair that obscured her peaceful visual. As if sense what was occurring around her, Kaia-Mai subconsciously started nuzzling against the palm, and Daremo smiled.

There was no denying what impact Kaia-Mai made in his life. Who would have thought one of his patients, on behest of Uchiha Amaya, a Konoha Jounin he was under while being apart of said village, he would end up finding love? Undoubtedly, the Uchiha had not expected him to fall in love with a patient he was assigned to treat, and for the relationship to blossom into what it currently is. Nevertheless, the pair did fall in love and adventured ensure. Like most things in life, they had their fair share of obstacles both with family members who did not approve of such a relationship, either due to the age difference between them or his moral code not being in aligned with specific individuals. There was other stuff that could have been prevented, like his death during senjutsu training, but, throughout it all, they made it through with the result of them becoming married and starting a family with Kaia-Mai having two beautiful twins.

Kaia-mai and the twins becoming the central part of his life. They being the reason why he walked away from the shinobi lifestyle, again. He having not want to be apart of them system which could very well target his family. The settlement being shared with his wife. She having also grown tired of the shinobi system in general. It brought nothing but despair, and endless suffering as evident by the crimes committed against Kaze no Kuni; their hidden village being destroyed by heretics. With all of that happened, the pair needed to get away, cutting off contact with everyone except his grandparents, who were able to give out false information regarding their whereabouts. To the rest of the world, they were somewhere in Tsuchi no Kuni, the couple having been spotted there numerous of times.

His musing were cut short when Kaia-mai touched his shoulder, “You leaving today?”, his wife asked, sitting up, not minding being exposed to her husband. Reptilian yellow eyes soften as they stared into hers, “Yeah, I will be leaving today.”, Daremo spoke, caressing her cheek in a loving manner, and planting a soft kiss on her lips, something she returned. Pressing his forehead against hers, his eyes searched in her owns, spotting all the emotions she were feeling right now, and there being no doubt, she noticed all what he was feeling at the moment too. “Grandparents should be coming over soon to get you as well. Grandmother will be training you in everything she knows. Grandfather will be watching after the twins during the training sessions.”, He spoke. There were no need to remind her what was occurring, they had months to plan for this day. While Kaia-Mai and the twins go into hiding, and receive training, Daremo would re-acquaint himself with the shinobi world once more. “I know, love.” Kaia-Mai spoke, placing a finger over her husband’s lips, “Till they come, lets enjoy this moment, okay?”.

Nodding in agreement, Daremo passionately kissed his wife, dragging her on top of him. For the next hour or so, the room being filled with the sounds of the married couple showing their love for one another. . . .

“So, you said goodbye to your mate and kids?”, Hikari asked, appearing beside Daremo, on the outskirts of Kumogakure, in a poof of smoke. The man wearing a dark grey cloak, obscuring his appearance, “Yeah, they done all eft now. But we will keep in touch.”, Daremo spoke as he walked towards a ship that was heading to Kirigakure no Sato. “Indeed, you will hatchling. But now, it is time for you to do what you should have done.”, Hikari spoke, not receiving a reply from the man beside her.
