The Chuunin exams over, Maigo prepared to leave Kumogakure and make his way back to Kirigakure, and to continue his training and his journey. Grabbing his things and keeping everything neatly into his backpack, his sandals tied tightly to his foot and his mantra wide awake. It wasn't often that he was wide awake for something, but some reason he felt ready to leave and continue on with his journey. It had been a few weeks since his fight with Elin in the exams, his broken leg had healed nicely and the cast he had on it had finally been removed. And since his leg was back to normal, he decided to test it out by making his journey back to the village hidden in the mist, a thing the doctor probably wouldn't recommend but who was Maigo to act totally out of his character just because he was finally healthy again?
Leaving his room he sported his backpack and began to head to the docks, it was late morning, a few people walking by here and there with the sun shining through the clouds. Arriving at the docks, his sandals squeaked on the wet wood of it all, he approached a ferryman, the same one that had brought him to Kumogakure. After talking for a few minutes and handing him his papers and the money to travel, he entered the boat and stepped on. Taking seat towards the back of it, his back against the rails while he sat on a wooden bench. It would be some time before they set sail, the ferryman still tending to his boat and storing things as well as checking the ropes and various equipment.
Maigo offered to help but he insisted on doing it himself, there was nothing for Maigo to do there, so he sat and looked out to the water. The shaking of the boat rocking back and forth and up and down began to set in as he focused on it, though he didn't become sea sick, instead he heavily enjoyed the feeling in itself. It wouldn't be but less than another hour before he set sail, the only cargo aboard the ship at that time was Maigo and some supplies and things he would need to deliver to Kirigakure.
At sea for a few more hours, they had left just before noon that day, and were arriving fairly late at night, the sun set and all before they made landfall where they would. When Maigo arrived he thanked the ferryman, again offering to help him in any way he could he yet again declined. Apparently he wouldn't be unloading his things until in the morning, so Maigo thanked him and took his things up and left. It would be quite late at night, after midnight before he made it back to the village, a few miles from the port itself he would spend parts of it running and other parts of it walking and resting his leg. Even Maigo in all his own eagerness wouldn't strain it too much for some time, and would make sure that any discomfort he felt would be enough to bring out his own apathy and have him lazily walk until he was up to his own comfort again.
It may have been an inefficient way of getting back home, but he didn't mind just yet, his family asleep he would just slip back in most likely unnoticed if arrived at midnight or if he arrived at three in the morning.
Once Maigo arrived to the house, he slowly creaked the door open and entered, setting his shoes at the entrance he slide his back pack off as he began to tip toe across the floor and up to his room. Once in his room he set his back pack down and got ready for bed, he wouldn't get much sleep but it would be better than nothing. Then in the morning he could tell his family all about everything, he only knew that they would want to know about it.
