“Finally..”

It took only thirty minutes to reach the border but indeed it took long enough as he continued to look behind him in that moonlit night to see if he was being followed. Leaping down from a tree branch Burittsu knew he must complete his travel back home even if it nearly kills him. The breeze of the night brushed up against the back of the shinobi pushing him out towards the wilderness to freedom. Taking a step forward the male’s face contained a smiled that stretched out to both sides of his face raising one fist into the air to show his freedom.

“Home..Here I Come.”

Burittsu whispered to himself as he began to walk the path that led him out of the border and into what he called freedom. Each step he took was quick and light as his blood rushed through his body giving him a jolt of energy and excitement as the smile turned into a chuckle. His feet picked up faster than he wanted as the wind continued to push upon the male pushing him onward the grass danced back and forth swaying the in the wind. The moon shining down upon the shinobi felt as if an angel was watching down upon him guiding him back home he continued to look forward towards the darkness.

Taking a step into the darkness Burittsu only gave into his temptation as he looked back into the darkness at the cursed village that still contained his sensei somewhere deep inside. Even if his location was unknown Burittsu himself knew that he must return to save him due to the fact he owed him that much to make him his student and take him on the journey anyway. A sigh escaped his breath as he turned around towards the path of his freedom taking an ever growing step of anger. Stomping his feet deeper and deeper into the ground as he contained a ball of rage deeper inside of him than he knew Burittsu was actually ready to explode into a ball of emotion. Stopping in the middle of the path once more a tear rolled down his face and dripped off his face as he only had one chance moving forward upon his path he felt as if the moonlight shined brighter and brighter upon him. The sound of the animals in the night kept him company upon his journey back home as the bushes danced with wildlife and the chirping of the crickets filled the night a sound he rarely heard when he was imprisoned. He knew it would be a couple of days before reaching his village so he decided that he would limit his breaks through his journey to at least twice per day and continue his travels upon the night until the sun returned back to the sky. Two hours passed as the male came to a stop upon a large open field where he sat down upon the ground as he looked up into the sky gazing upon the stars which indeed caught his attention the attention of the young shinobi. Sweeping his arms upon the grass it had seem the male startled a firefly which glowed brighter than he ever seen as it flew away it caused a chain startling a nest of fireflies which scattered all around catching and keeping the attention of Burittsu through the night.

Giving a chuckle as the male stood up running around chasing the fireflies around in the large field each step he took only allowing more and more fireflies to form until it seemed the whole area itself was lit to the brim. With a bright green lime light indeed it was dangerous but he continued to venture around forming more and more light as he watched them all fly away into the sky which brought him back to reality as he was once again alone with the chirping of the crickets. His smile went away as his face was stern and serious with no emotion he walked back to the path he fought for and once more ventured towards home.

“Wasting my time.”
