"Ugh!" Skye groaned as he went up one of Kumo's many mountains. He wasn't in the best of moods on this particular morning. His father woke him up rather early and told him he had to train. It was almost like he was replaying the moment in his head. He remembers his father opening the door quickly and pulling the blinds up. All Skye could see was the sun shining bright in his face and the silhouette of his father standing in front of him. Forced out of bed, he got ready for whatever his father had planned for him. The one thing he remembers that his father said was, “Today you’re working on your lightning ninjutsu.” A load of boring work is more like it. Skye would’ve preferred doing his own thing; maybe even find one of his squad mates. He has only seen one, but never met the other. Whatever the case, there was no skipping this training. His father sounded extremely serious about the training, and when he was serious, things got done.
Sighing, he slowly approached the peak of the mountain. He figured the best way he’d be able to practice alone was high up and where no one around could get harmed. The training would be purely lightning, so it seemed necessary to take precautions by training on a peak. Before he began his training, it only seemed reasonable to stretch. The first thing he worked on was his arms. He put each arm behind his head and pushed them down; each push caused a slight pop in his shoulder. Moving on to his legs, he kicked his leg out to the proper side and made sure both were limber. Finally, he moved on to his back and neck. His spine made a satisfying crack, as well as his neck. “Ah… Alright… Time to get started…” Taking a stance to prepare his basic lightning attacks, he exhaled and put both of his hands up. He focused his chakra and turned it into electricity. It sparked in his hand for a second, then released with a loud snapping noise. “Again…” Skye mumbled to himself. Once again, he did the exact same thing, this time, pouring more chakra into his hands. With the added chakra, the loudness of the bolt echoed down the mountain. It could have possibly reached the ears of some passerby, but wasn't loud enough to wake anyone.
Skye stopped for a moment and resumed a neutral stance. Bringing his hands up, he stared at them for a little while. Even though it didn't cause him any pain when releasing the lightning, he could still feel the slight tingle in his hands after it came out. Even though Skye was used to the feeling, it still made him wonder about how it actually felt to others. Normally he thought it would just feel like an extremely powerful static shock. He cracked his knuckles and stored the thought for another day. Getting the training done was his main priority for the day.
