flickering rays gleamed in his eyes as the sun sunk into the horizon slowly but steadily. The glaring eyes of the young man turned to the sound piercing the silence of the desert. He looked behind him only to see a man shouting out of concern. Why would he ask a stranger if they were alright instead of being cautious. Assuming the man is of a virtuous character why would they ask if he was alright instead of approaching normally. Simple possible solutions, this man was virtuous to an insane extent and is overprotective of most if not all people, or the man noticed the fresh trails of blood and the paw trails the wolves left behind to find the young male. This was the desert, the trails from the wolves' footprints were fresh still and someone could have traced him. Izanagi was a paranoid fellow, the fact that Dr. Yuki Tenmei still treads this earth must be kept a secret. If this man knew of the truth and witnessed Izanagi's secretive meeting with his master and enemy then he is a dangerous element. Calming down as he remained silent he remembered that both he and his master never use their names.
In reply to the man's concern the young boy nodded simply as he looked back with his fierce yet dead-like eyes remaining cold as could be. He spoke tot he man before him "Thank you for your concern I am alright-" It was then that more of the pack appeared. Nine wolves surrounded the two. The boy was prepared to fight, but not prepared to die. Not until he made sure the five nations were six feet under. The young boy looked back into the eyes of the wolves eyes fiercer than theirs yet resembling theirs he was a wolf just as they were only much fiercer and much more enraged yet calm as the coldest depths of the ocean. However, his tense gaze at his soon to be victims was anything but calm as it held the hatred in his black heart. He spoke to the man he had just met "You need to leave" He spoke referring to what might the wolves do to him if he stays. Izanagi knew not the man and perhaps the man was good at heart. Someone concerned for the safety of a stranger is much more suitable as a kind than those scum called Kage or Daimyo. Izanagi armed himself in a battling stance prepared to intercept the wolves as his eyes were locked upon them waiting, anticipating, and reading every twitch of theirs.
The young man rushed towards the pack with fierce wrath. Grabbing hold of two wolves by their mouths holding them closed as he jumped slightly while holding their mouths only to step on their necks and pull their heads up from their mouths breaking their necks and killing them. Blood splattered from Izanagi's wounds but his gaze grew fiercer as he approached two more wolves. One would bite his left arm and the other bit his leg he choked the one biting his hand and placed his foot on its neck choking it as he pommeled the other one to death with his bloody fists. The young wolf glared at the rest of the remaining five wolves as he sensed their fear but was aching for more havoc. However, it was then that his master's words reminded him of what he lacked.
“Still nothing but a weakling. You've no decisiveness in your attack, no coordination, and no planning in case your attack is hindered or stopped. You're dismissed till midnight. We resume your training then. Until then, patch your wounds and fight the wolves and wild animals lying around the area.”
Coordination, decisiveness, planning. However, that is not all there is to it. During the child soldiers' training camp he spoke more of this. He spoke more of those three aspects of an attack. Expanded on what is expected and what should be done mentally before attacking physically. His words resurface as Izanagi bleeds more of his life blood. The young man was dizzy but his the words of his enemy and master did not falter within his mind.
"To be decisive is not the lack of hesitation before the kill. To be decisive is to know what you want and what you need and never hesitate to take that which you need. To coordinate the action that which you are about to perform and know the results you require, and regardless of the enemy's reply you must pursue the results you need even if it means altering an already coordinated and planned attack. The preparations do not end once you begin executing the action, on the contrary, preparations begin before, while, and after you execute the required action. To pursue the required regardless of all odds with wit and strength. That is true decisiveness. Also, never forget the four steps regarding executing any plan of action."
Step one: Make the plan.
six more wolves came in with the remaining four completing the pack, ten wolves and Izanagi and his new acquaintance assuming he would join the fight, but Izanagi advised him to stay away or he may get hurt. Focusing on the pack circling him Izanagi would listen to the words of his master and enemy, what was the required result? Survival. The plan of attack, rush to the two in front of him as they rush at him he would anticipate their jumps and crouch as they jump almost past him but he would grab their legs and smash them to the ground with ferocity crushing their bones from the impact. It was that which he aimed to accomplish against two, however if a third wolf rushed at him instead of smashing both to the ground he would smash two together and one to the ground and re-position himself back to the middle, and that was
Step two: Execute the plan
Izanagi rushed at the two wolves took hold of their legs as a third wolf rushed in as expected, he would smack one to the ground and the second one with the third launching them to the side only to notice that a fourth wolf rushed at him from the back with fierce desire to chew the flesh of the young man, however, Izanagi would, for once, listen to what his enemy had taught him. As the wolf rushed at Izanagi from the back he slid his right leg under the wolf resting his right heel on the wolf's abdomen in a fraction of a second to use the still energy in his left foot and flip carrying the wolf in his flip and striking the wolf down with his heel pinned to the wolf's stomach as he landed the wolf on the ground with his right foot, not position himself back to the middle, but remaining where he stood as attempting to go back would open chances for the beasts to attack. Having replied to the surprise element and abandoned his previous plans he had performed the third and fourth steps correctly.
Step three: Expect the plan to go off the rails.
Step four: Throw away the plan.
Make the plan, execute the plan, expect the plan to go off the rails, and finally: Throw away the plan. This is what his enemy taught him, a wild method of doing things, however, he had become the dangerous warlord he is today thanks to those rules of his or so he spoke. Six wolves remain. Izanagi took down eight, four he rushed at with nothing but irrational rage and damaged himself. Four he rushed at with wit and strength and he emerged unharmed as he for once let his mind fight for him rather than his rage.
