- Mission name: Patrol: Within the Walls.
Mission rank: D.
Objective: Scout out criminals inside the village.
Location: Sunagakure no Sato.
Reward: 80 Ryo.
Mission description: We didn't think this was actually necessary, but apparently we have to pay you for this. Lately there have been some issues with people stealing, vandalizing buildings, roughing up the villagers, there's no end to what these gangs will do. Genin, do not engage the subject of your suspicion. You are to report to a superior-ranking ninja immediately with your findings.
Mission details: You can take this mission even in the middle of an ongoing thread, should the occasion arise! (You cannot use WC from prior to when you put this mission briefing in your post.)
Anon yawned as he made to get dressed for his mission. Today he was tasked with patrolling the village within the walls, looking for anyone up to no good. There was a rash out stealing and looting lately, as well as some heavy vandalism. The village's response was to send a genin on patrol to find out what was going on and to report directly to a higher ranking ninja should they find anything out of the ordinary. It was explicitly stated that no genin should engage the target or targets should they spot someone vandalizing or stealing, as it could be dangerous. For a D-Rank mission of course there would be no engaging. They wouldn't want to be responsible for those coming out of the Academy to get hurt right? It was all hogwash but the young shinobi swallowed his pride and agreed to the terms regardless.
He made his way out of his apartment and down the stairs of his building, opting to leave his swords behind, but carrying his tool pouch which only held his scrolls, one of the scrolls having his kunai and shuriken sealed within. He wasn't going to need his weapons, only going to need to be observant, really. So there was no need to bring anything that would help him take someone out. With a heavy mind, the ninja made his way out of his building and into the street, instantly pushing his hands into his pockets as he walked around, the sun glinting off of his forehead protector. This was actually going to be the most boring mission he had taken part in.
He opted to check the Bazaar first, as it seemed the most likely place for any sort of thieves to target if they wanted to steal something. He spent the better part of his day moving through stalls, waving at merchants, declining samples, and all around just window shopping. He stopped in a few stores to ask if anyone had seen anything suspicious but alas, no one had. Upon finishing his patrol of the bazaar, he moved towards the kage district, searching for vandalism or the people committing such acts, finding nary a trace of either. It was then he moved to the residential district and spotted a kid that looked like he was from the academy painting obscenities on the wall of someone's house. With a sigh, he carefully recorded what the child looked like in his head and made his way to a nearby Shinobi who was also patrolling and nudged him. This shinobi was a rank higher than Anon and that meant he could possibly engage the child, and upon Anon pointing to the child still vandalizing, the chuunin made after him to take care of the situation. After that was taken care of, Anon moved through the residential district more, searching for any signs of anyone else up to no good, but to no avail. Eventually the sun started to set, signalling the change of guard and patrols and so Anon yawned a bit sleepily and nodded to the genin come to take his place, making his way back to the kage manse to issue his report and get paid for his mission being completed. This had to be the most boring mission the young ninja had ever been on so far and he desperately hoped that ranking up would mean something a bit more exciting, though he was almost afraid it would be the same until he reached jounin rank. Either way, he only wanted something more exciting or challenging so that he could improve his own skills at some point.
