Akimitsu Nekonote

Akimitsu Nekonote

D-rank
Akimitsu walked out of the store with a few colors of paint buckets with him. He decided to take another mission today. This one didn't have him chasing anything, or hunting someone down. He got to paint walls today! It might not be exciting, but Aki was fine with that. He thought it would be a good time to just take a breather. Plus, since he had to paint the very top of the building, he'd have a nice view to himself. Who wouldn't like that?

It was a rather nice day, despite the cold spell that was upon them. The sun was shining, and the cold wasn't to bad. Aki was able to wear a lighter jacket then he had been for a while. It was nothing special. A worn down leather jacket. It was used a lot by his father, and he got it as a hand-me-down. He didn't complain though. As the building neared, he began to see why it needed it. The recent weather didn't do great things to wood. The wet snow had made some of the previous paint start to fall of in places, and the other parts just looked horrible. Akimitsu took the red paint and dipped his brush in it. He started to paint the wall in long strokes, making sure to get every spot he could. Up and down. Up and down. Dip. Repeat. It was almost a hypnotic pattern. It quickly became automatic, and that let him drift his thoughts else wear. His mind started to drift back to the chunin exams.

He had gotten his Chunin head band already, but the way that the second exams had to be stopped got to him a little bit. What was so urgent that they needed to be warped out? Whatever it was, the guy clearly thought that it was too dangerous to even let them run home of their own will. The fact that he heard a sword breaking, and a shrill noise coming from the sword, only increased the fact that something bad had happened. He felt a little sad for the sword. The sword was magnificent. Who knows what power it had. Aki then laughed a bit. The only one who could know the swords power, is the swords owner. He knew that for a fact. The bokkens he had on his back was a reminder. Only he knew how much they could take before they snapped like twigs. He also knew how much damage that could be done with them. He thought about all this as he made his way to the next levels.

The next level was a green color. Once again, the motion of Up, down, and dip started up again. This time, his thoughts drifted to the poor Kiri villagers. True, it happened a while ago, but Akimitsu just found out about it. What would it feel like to lose everything? It wouldn't be an over time thing either. Everything you know was gone in less than 10 minutes. He couldn't wish that kind of pain on his worst enemy. He couldn't even imagine it. He tried to, but it only gave him a headache. An obvious sign that he wasn't going to feel it unless it happened. Which he didn't want to happen in the slightest. He woke from his routine, and realized he only had the underside of the balconies to do.

He was able to find the ladder that he needed to reach the underside of the balconies. He started at the ground floor, because he figured those would be dry first. He had to have a more conscious effort this time. He had to get some paint on the brush, then hurry up the ladder to paint the top. Repeat the process a few times, and you'd have an amazing underside fully painted! He did have a few close calls though. He tried to hurry down to fast, and missed a ladder step. He fell for what seemed like forever, but then he caught himself. Then on the highest floor, there was a wind gust that almost took Aki on a first class trip to the ground floor. He made the ladder steady though, and was able to finish the job without much more indecent.

After putting everything away, he turned in the mission, and he got his Ryo. By now, it was a rather nice sunset. Akimitsu decided to go home to grab a little bit of food, and then head back to the top of the administration building to watch the sunset. The sunset really was beautiful in the winter. More shades of pink and purple would fill the sky. Much like an artists canvas across the sky. After admiring the beauty for a bit, he decided now was a good time to head in for the night.
