Burittsu

Burittsu

D-rank
It started off as a relaxing day for Burittsu as he sat in the tree’s along the path that led out towards the extending out to the borders of the village his mind was else where as always he minded his own business as usual people coming in and leaving the village made their own through the path. But today seemed different the different mixture of faces that he would love to study was simply not in motion this very day at the least all he saw was shinobi brining back supplies and guiding some civilians back to the village. With a soft brush of wind hitting his bareback he felt the relief of living his life he sported his usual clothing as he seemed mighty relaxed this very day. Until swooping down from the heavens was a blue jay he never had seen one before the bird itself had something attached to it’s leg a tiny black canister it seemed he only thought to himself if this was one of the infamous messaging birds he heard about this only being his first time actually seeing one up close.  It caught his interest indeed due to the color of the bird matched that of his hair and eyes only lifting his fist and pointing out his index finger so the messenger itself could hop on.

“Cmon let’s see what you have for me.”

And so it did in a single bounce as it used its wings to gain balance and allowed Burittsu to open up the containment that came with the flying beast of nature as the roll of tiny paper fell into his hands a blue blur passed his eyes as the animal flew away. Leaving behind a feather which danced and swayed back and forth he watched as it fell to the branch of tree with a look at the rolled up paper he only began to wonder. Opening it he could only see what was black markings on the paper enough to understand that something was going on and it seemed as if the village trusted him to to the source of this madness. Rubbing his chin at one part of the message saying a partner would again be provided he only thought the partner was to keep tabs and a good eye on Burittsu so he does not go overboard and slaughter the innocent. But none of the less he grinned as he was happy that he had a chance to prove himself once standing upon the branch he only thought of who his partner could be this fair day.

“I only had one partner for my last mission I can only wonder who it will be this time..Hehe”

Bending his knees his body simply took off jumping from branch to branch heading towards the border of the village as said on the paper. He did not go so fast hoping his partner was behind him already or was already there at the source of the problem he only knew that some bridges needed to be burned but he did want them to put a good fight. The blood shed should at least be worth it to protect the village and the people who reside in the village with a snicker he only continue to hop from branch to branch underneath the shade of the tree’s. He was happy in fact that his chance was now in the spotlight once more he would not fail as his body raced through the trees happily and full of spirit.

“Hehe let the mission begin whoever my partner is he better be ready.”

Maigo sat at the gate of the village with a heavy hand, a heavy mind, and a heavy back. Given enough paper bombs to destroy a sizeable area, he was being tasked with another mission, simple in nature though, destroy a bridge. His destination would be to the outskirts of the nation, aiming to strike at a point just outside the nation that helps bridge over the land of waves with a small territorial island. It wouldn't be a problem in the slightest, something quick and easy to strike at, and if he were lucky there wouldn't be anyone else there to get in the way and they could strike with absolute stealth.

Still, he would have another person to deal with on this mission, not that it would be a major problem for Maigo or anything like that. Eventually he would depart, the black backpack around his shoulders and his full ninja gear accompanying him as well. Ninja pouch tied tightly around his right hip and his sword stationed to be pulled in a reverse grip on the right of his waist. He would begin his adventure towards the blood country quickly, dashing off as soon as he exited the threshold of the village and heading straight for his target.

Ignoring some roads for the use of branches from trees, anything to save a little bit of time, he would stop at a predestined location around half a kilometer away from the targeted area. Sitting up in a branch he would yawn heavily, he didn't expect to be this tired from just running, but perhaps his lack of sleep was catching up to him and the exhaustion from training so much. That would be a problem to deal with later on though, for now, he would sit quietly and project his senses on the area around him as he kept watch and waited for his teammate or mates to join up and prepare for their mission.

As Burittsu continued to hop and leap from branch to branch he only felt the cool breeze of the wind pushed him upon his back and the smell of what seemed to be water filled the air stenching it up. His eyes darted around searching for the so called partner as he saw what seemed to be like a black bag that was attached to a body he could not fully tell who the individual was but as he grew closer he could only tell that this must of have been his partner just sitting in the shadows and looking down studying on all of the enemies. In a couple bounces from branch to branch he landed right next to the male with bow of his head to show respect to his partner. Looking down himself he only spotted what was desired target a bridge one that could be used to transport anything in or out especially weapons or people.

“So this is it.. I was told enemies should be around protecting the bridge..”

He studied his partner closely as it seemed for this mission he himself would have to be the bait due to all the gear that was given all that gear looking back down it was easily a trap but the male decided to drop down below anyways. It was a quick moment as the area was silent it felt empty he made his way to the bridge taking step after step each with caution. Only to swiftly realize he was indeed surrounded as the three bodies in a flash appeared upon the bridge cutting him off. With a faint chuckle that emitted from behind him it had seem there was three more of these troublemakers here to cut off Burittsu from doing the task that was assign.

Each wearing armor and all of them looked in their middle age probably still in their prime the sound of swords being pulled out of sheaths each of these guys looked like they meant business. The report itself said eight enemies this only was six with a smirk upon his face he only stood straight and began to calculate if he could kill the enemies in a fast pace manner without any blood shed. For now as it seemed they thought he was alone and that is the best he could give to his partner well for the meantime he only began to wonder what was of the missing two. If the wrong move was made it had the possibility for ending this mission early for Burittsu but he tried to keep it clean.

“Hmm”

Maigo heard the quick approach from behind him, a quick turn of his shoulder to watch as the familiar face as he dashed into place next to Maigo. His eyes would follow him for a second as he looked onward, “So this is it.. I was told enemies should be around protecting the bridge..” he spoke nearly as he landed. Maigo wondered if he recognized him or not at all? It wasn't that long ago that they were just on their other mission... but for now he wouldn't press the issue, he had more important things to deal with.

"So it's you then...." he would offer calmly and in a hushed tone, bringing some attention to their greeting, "Yes, there are quite a few enemies on the bridge but if it's all the same, I'd like to not even confront them head on..." he offered a sly smile and waited to see what would happen. In his not paying attention though, he would see that his partner had already taken things into his own hands, dropping down below into the midst of three of those bandits.... So much for stealth. Maigo would think to himself with a mental sigh and shake of the head.

Activated sharingan would spin into life as he looked onward, there were six guards that had surrounded his partner, and it seems another two chakra signatures were just head on the bridge still. Probably a last line of defense in case scounting parties and all else failed. Strange that there were no civilians or workers on the bridge, just the armed guards for the time being. Almost as if they'd been spotted long before their arrival, but that would be a worry for another time, now he just needed to survive and find a way to finish off these bandits.

Maigo would silently draw his sword eyeing one of the six directly below him as he watched them circle in and his comrade think through the situation. With grace, Maigo would fall down, his sword pointed down to impale the first bandit and take the first kill for himself. Aiming at the base of the neck where helmet and armor would leave vulnerable and cutting through, letting the man fall with the cruelest of yells.

"Don't think, just kill!" Maigo would say with activated sharingan pointed right at Burittsu before quickly removing his sword, the blood splattering out with it. Then turning his eyes onto the next closest enemy and getting ready to strike at them too.

Only mere moments passed as the sound of loud collapsing body hit the floor it was his own partner proving to Burittsu he was once again wrong about judging a person before giving them a chance. Rubbing his chin as the pure red eyes of the eyes pierced through him felt as if the vision of his partner was so great it had enough to time to see the other enemies and Burittsu himself. One fell as five were left to remain about exactly two in front of Burittsu and behind him was the remaining three with a glance at the bridge that was meant to be destroyed he only looked backed at his comrades position. Only to realize he only had one weapon but he needed to find himself a quicker solution. Forming a quick hand sign he quickly blew out what seemed to be three compressed balls of air aiming towards the three in front of him leaving the two on the bridge only to witness the horror of their comrades being taken down.

Taking his advice about not thinking and only kill seemed to give him the pleasure of being free for once in his life. He enjoyed how the bodies of the three enemies were sent flying and pushed against the ground as he himself removed out a serrated kunai as it extended out to be six inches long. Quickly moving over the bodies stabbing each one of them between the joints of the armor that covered the chest aiming at the neck as the process continued until Burittsu was found standing over the last body giving a swift jab into the neck of the male. All this was needed to be sure they remained dead as he removed his weapon only to give it a tight grip as he looked over to see the remaining two on the bridge. With a sigh he looked down upon his kunai that was bathed in blood it only gave him a grin that only insisted his bloodshed needed to be filled and the two would help out his situation taking a step towards the two he quickly dashed towards his enemies as he touched the bridge only to be answered by the slash of a blade from his enemies the two man coming down with enough force to cut down and deep inside of Burittsu. It was indeed interesting with a quick step to the right Burittsu appeared on the side standing on the rail of the bridge it was only footwork and some speed needed but now he felt as if he was just showing off. Watching the two struggle to pull out their blade from the wooden bridge it seemed they both put all their might in their swings and now embedded their weapons into the wood.

“Shameful..”

Quickly leaping down as the closest enemy removed his blade and began to his hand so did Burittsu putting away his kunai as he made it a even fight the other was left for his partner. Learning from the academy that he must make the move first before his opponent puts him in a bad position he only responded to his enemy with his right hand grabbing the back of his helmet and a raise of his knee smashing into his enemy's face. With a grip of the helmet in his hand he used whatever strength he had to squeeze tightly causing a dent into the helmet but enough to see his enemy bleeding down the side of his face. Not even a struggle was being given from the male as he armor itself should be heavy enough to kill him throwing him upon the ground Burittsu only kicked the body off into the river below as the armored up male dropped to the bottom being unseen from his visual view. Looking over his shoulder with a sinister grin on his face looking at what seemed to be the last of these troublemakers he left this one for his partner as he looked down towards where he left him. Only wondering how he would kill his enemy he always enjoyed watching others do the job it was easy to tell the fear was deep down inside this rebel who dared stop the shinobi from doing their work. With just a smile he awaited on the bridge for his partner to give him the show that he wanted to see since he got off the branch of that tree and was summoned to the mission.

Blood, blood, blood. The red syrup began to bubble up from his sword wound already as the man coughed up bits of it too. His eyes would widen as he realized his won death was nigh, such a weak person for someone so bent on causing problems and serving his life in crime. It didn't matter, Maigo didn't know him or care to think about the ramifications of his actions, all he could see and feel was that blood the flowed forth. It was always so easy for this part, the blood flowed out against the darkness of the rest of the world.

His eyes flickered around the scene, there were three for each of them and Maigo had already critically wounded one of his. But the scene around them was painted in hues of black and red, the world faded away when he had those eyes active. Sure, chakra would splash bits of color to the scene when it was used, hues of a blue-white for people, a different shade of red for katon, or the spark of yellow for raiton but it was all faded into black and grey in the end. But what did prevail outside all of it, was that maroon and darkened red of blood, his eyes could never purge the sight from the world. It was a crucial reminder that this darkness wasn't what it sought to be or what he saw it to be. Like part of himself was trying to scare him away from that world, showing him the error in his ways and some horror of it all.

But that didn't bother him for now, he removed his sword quickly, the steel squished against the mans flesh with warm blood lubricating his katana. He pulled it quickly and got a small glob of the blood on it before he slashed the blade and flung blood into the eyes of the man to his right. Charging in without warning, he would blind him temporarily as he went to rub the blood away, leaving Maigo a chance to engage the other attacker. He jumped in the air briefly, planting both his feet into the stomach of the second attacker and knocked the wind straight out of his gut. Letting him curl up in response and cough up his saliva with it, Maigo would rotate quickly vertically and flip around, using his sword as a blade and cutting him several times.

Then looking back to the man who was regaining himself from his temporary blindness just in time to find Maigo lunging back at him. More quick cuts, precision, the twitches of his very fiber as he flinched and moved in sync with Maigo. But it was too easy with Maigo's eyes, to see and interpret his very moves, even without his eyes these guys would have been easy but now it was like child's play. The three of them would fall quickly, enough for Maigo to take a second and watch to Burittsu to his take down of the others.

As he was busy fighting the two on the bridge, Maigo would sneak around the side and run across the beams under the bridge. Placing a variety of the paper bombs on supports and flat sections holding it together, running the right side of it, then running back across the left side. Landing back on the side they were closest to originally on, he would land back over there, his feet just off the bridge. Calling out to Burittsu afterwards, "Burittsu, time to retreat!" he would call back, hoping that Burittsu would notice his position just outside the bridge and join him off of it.

Once he had done so, Maigo would throw his shuriken at the bandit(s) to catch them off guard, while they were busy with the projectiles he would form the half tiger seal and denote all of the paper bombs that the village had given him. Explosions moving all along the side and underneath throughout, cracking and splintering wood and stone as the thing crumbled into the ravine below and would be washed away quickly. Maigo would deactivate his sharingan as he watched the river swallow them whole and everything in its rush.

He only awaited for his partner to take out the enemy only to be distracted by the voice of the male he who he did come here with the sign of retreat as he turned and faced the remaining bandit waving off. Quickly jumping off the bridge heading towards the direction of his partner's voice as he took off towards his fierce companion the sound of the explosion went off as the heat wave was easily felt on the sensitive skin of Burittsu. Coming to a stop right in front of his ally he only gave a sigh as watched the chain of exploding wood and debris fill the air sending pieces everywhere. It was beauty in the eyes of the shinobi as for once it felt like he could really learn something from his partner. Looking over his shoulder this male was of advance skills that he only wished one day he could also reach but the training to the studying and hard work of dedication was something that needed to be done.

“Good work..”

With the beating sun rays upon his skin he bowed to the male slightly in show of thanks and respect as he stood next to him watching the river itself do its work. Taking the bridge and what seemed to be body parts with it down to wherever it was headed folding his arm as he looked around himself to watch the crippled bodies of the ones left behind he only gave a sigh as it would be rude to simply leave them without a proper burial. Walking to the corpse he simply bent over closing one of the dead’s eyelids and proceeded to drag him by the leg throwing the body into the river itself. Wherever the river would be going the bodies would most likely be on the bottom of it he retreated away from the river and headed back to the remaining corpse’s doing the same to each and everyone of them.

“There we go..no more worries..”

As he watched the final body drift off into the river following the rest he simply dipped his hands into the river washing them off with a grin upon his face showing a hard work well done. Looking at his reflection off the surface of the water he simply felt the heat of the sun on his back quickly throwing the water into the air above him and as he simulated the effects of rain. Feeling the cool drops on his body cooling him off and continued to do this until his skin was simply leaking of the river water. Standing up as a cool breeze hit his body he felt relaxed and calm feeling the cool refresh ways of nature a chuckle escaped his breath as he turned around heading towards his partner placing his hands in his pockets. With relief he felt as if he was heading somewhere in his life he only began to think of where and what would it do to him if he continued on this path. Looking to his partner he patted him on the back.

“Ready to go? I won’t leave you like I did last time with all the paperwork.”

“Good work..” those words rang out as Maigo hesitated, perched on the edge of what was now a cliff to a ravine as he looked down on the mess he had created. His sharingan still active, it slowly faded away as the words brought him back to reality and away from the fading chakras that floated away below him. But in that time, Maigo didn't really move or acknowledge anything, his yellow eyes would stay focused on below as his partner went around and confirmed the dead around their small battlefield. Maigo kept his thoughts and focus in on the world below him and thinking about the end of their worlds.

A short moment later and he would step away, slowly, his eyes still lingered and clasped to the scene as he seemed to hesitate looking away. A quick pat on the back drew his attention away, Maigo turned his head quickly with his eyes opened, a newfound clarity of the world as he spent too long focusing on a single point. But for once, he looked at his partner and noticed who he was. Took note of his features actually, more than just the glances and short mental notes as he had done before. “Ready to go? I won’t leave you like I did last time with all the paperwork.”

Maigo blinked for a second before cracking a small smile and leaning his head back to crack the bones in his neck, "You won't leave me? I think I'm leaving it all to you this time, to make up for the last time..." his smile would fade as he rolled his head on his neck. The two of them heading on their way back to the village to report everything completed.
