Maikeru took a deep breathe of the fresh mountain air. Maikeru was taught by his late guardian, mentor, and business partner, Takehare, the best place to increase all physical prowess was in the solitude and comfort of the wilderness. Void of any and all detractions, where its just him vs himself (and the great mother nature herself.) The environment was rugged, and filled with tumbling rocks and boulders. Maikeru took it all in from the bottom of the mountain. The very tall mountain was a natural skyscraper that even surpassed Amegakure's buildings. It was all so exciting. The first thing he wanted to do was increase his physical strength. "And the first thing I will do, " be began "Is climb this mountain."

Maikeru immediately jumped up onto the first rock he could grab. His hands clamped down on them, and his feet hoisted himself up. Maikeru did jumped to reach another ledge, gripping onto it. Maikeru finally reached a larger ledge good for him to sit on. He placed hi.self onto it, and took a deep breath. His mind started to wander back to the thoughts of Takehare, and how he had met him.

Maikeru lied there in the cold, wooden, splintered floor. His hardly made a single noise, sometimes wouldn't so much as breathe, scared that even THAT may offend the Fashionista. He just kept quiet as much as possible. He heard the cries of another child. "No please I'm sorry!" The head shake of a sword bearing man was seen by Maikeru, who only moved his eyes to look on him, not his head. They were supposed to be lying down. "When we say it's time to lay down for the day it's time to lay down for the day." He opened the door to the dark cold winds of the outside. It was the night time and and the snow was just about at its worst. "If Lord Hashim forgives you, you will live by the mourning." He threw the kid outside in the harsh weather and shut the door. Loud bangs and sobs could be heard. "Please! Please let me back in I'll go to sleep! Please it's cold out hear! I'll do anything! I d-don't...d-don't to...die." Maikeru's eye twitched at the stuttering sounds of the young boy could be heard. "I-I-I never..even got...to meat....my parents." Maikeru ears a sick this in the snow, hinting that he'd already passed out. Maikeru's eye twitched in horror. This was becoming a norm. Maikeru knew in time he would end up just like those children. The many who have been down horrible things too. Maikeru eventually fell asleep, hoping his tumbling around in his sleep wouldn't be noticed by the Jashinists. The next morning Maikeru woke up early. He was in the same position he was when he was asleep....good. Maikeru was prepared for another day of somberness. He was so sick of living his days like this. Poor conditions, malnourishment, and harsh treatment. Maikeru peered over to the knife that the Jashinists kept on the floor. A few kids have tried fighting them with it...none of them lived. Some of their blood still plaster the wall. Maikeru wouldn't even think about fighting them. They would kill him. And it would give them a tremendous amount of satisfaction. Satisfaction Maikeru did not want to give. He saw that the other Jashinists were sleeping on the floor. He reached for the knife. This would all be over...no more suffering....or pain....Maikeru didn't have to endure it anymore. At that moment a bang was at the door. Than, a fist plummeted through, creating a hole. Maikeru blinked, frightened who had interrupted him. Everyone woke up to see what the commotion was. A man stood at the door. He was tall, muscular, but out of all he was angry. He look around. "Oh my...you BASTARTDS!" One of the Jashinists stood up. He was the weakest of them all. "YOU DARE DESTROY THE PROPERTY OF THE TEMPLE OF JASHIN!!??!?" He grabbed his katana, and rushed for the man. The Man slapped the sword out of his hand, and grabbed him by the neck. He lift him up. The man's face scrunched for a brief moment as a snap could be heard. He threw the man across the one room shack, and created a hole in the wall. "Kids...come here." They all gathered around him. He formed many different hand gestures. "Fire Style: Warm Embrace." At that moment, Maikeru's body heated up, and the cold from the draft. "You kids go outside. The cold won't affect you." They all went out side. Maikeru watched from the space which used to hold the door. "HOW DARE YOU CORRUPT THE CHILDREN OF JASHIN!!!" The man scoffed. "You call this a temple. Earth Style: Quake." He smashed his fist into the floor. The entire shack started to vigorously shake than collapse. The entire shack was in rubble. As well as the memories. Maikeru watched. A smile crept on his face. He hadn't smiled in such a long time. The Jashinists bared there weapons, their minds filled with rage and anger. They all charged at him. The staff Jashinist swung his staff at him. The man grabbed it, and as one with an ax came down on him, he pulled back, tugging the staff so the staffman would be in the place he was. The axman slashed off hthe staffman's arms. The axman didn't even give his fellow Jashinist a second glance. Maikeru watched in awe. The man made a powerful have forward. When the axman decided to block, the man broke the handle, and dove his fist into his chest, and roughly removed it out. He stared at the last Jashinist with bladed gauntlets. He was the strongest and the worst. He struck a battle stance "give me your best shot, heathen!" The man smirked. "Well, it's certainly not my BEST shot but..." he placed two fingers above his mouth and blew out a spectacular torrent of fire, burning him to a crisp, charred corpse. All the children cheered. Maikeru sighed. "It's over...it's finally over."

From that on, Maikeru insisted on Takehare become his legal guardian. On the way back to Subs to have the other kids finalized into a proper orphanage, Maikeru persisted on Takehare taking him on his mercenary adventures. Maikeru smiled and continued to climb the tall mountain

Maikeru found himself on the less steep and more flat part of the mountain range. He looked around. He decided to race along the mountain side, training himself to become faster. He stumbled along some of the rocks that were in his way. This excited him, having obstacles to keep himself even more busy, his balance could use much work anyways. He hopped over every rock and stump that was in his way. His mind begun to wonder back to Takehare. He remembered when they were hunting down a missing non from Konohagakure. Speed was his specialty, so catching him down was quite difficult...

Maikeru and Takehare jumped along the l branches that were owned by the trees of the dense forest. Maikeru was loosing space between him and Takehare, who was at least at keeping the status quo of distance between him and the target. "C'mon Maikeru, keep up!" Maikeru was suddenly motivated by his words and moved faster, catching up with Takehare. The missing non mad a sharp turn to lose them. Takehare looked at Maikeru. "I have an Idea. Stay close to him to put the pressure on him. Shadow Clone Just!" A copy of Takehare appears, while the original jumped up to the higher ground, and out of site. Maikeru sped forward dodging and ducking branches. The missing non realized he was closing in on him, and jumped, spun around, still moving back. "Burning Ash!" He blew out a cloud of smoke. Maikeru moved to the side to avoid the cloud, which spontaneously combusted. Maikeru moved his hands in front of his face to protect it from the heat. "Dammit!" All of a sudden, a large gorilla appears behind the missing nin, and grabbed him from behind. The ape shifted the now panicking and confused missing nin upward and flew downward, smashing him into many branches, snapping them dozens of pieces, and eventually hitting the ground. The ape kicked up from off the ground, being surprisingly agile for its large size. It dusted itself off. Takehare was leaned up against a tree, as the shadow clone disappeared. The ape dusted himself off. "Need somethin' else?" Takehare took out a cigar and lit it up. He puffed on it. "No that will be all." The ape scoffed. "You should really get off them things. Not good for ya." Takehare laughed. "Haha, yeah yeah now get outta here." The gorilla disappeared. Maikeru looked at the limp missing nin. "Is he dead?" Takehare shrugged. He lightly kicked him to check. "Eh... he'll be alright…I think." Takehare let out a boisterous and jolly laugh. "Alright, let's get scrape em off the ground and get him to the village."

Maikeru ran acrossed a few more stumps and medium sized rocks. He looked back to see the meters he had completed. He smirked and moved on.

Maikeru through the rocky slope of the mountain range. He, like before, stumbles around the rocks that creates a blanket. Much larger than before. He accidentally falls over himself, and lands on the rocks. He spits curses, and picks himself up to press forward. He went finally reached the near top of the mountain. Than, he is struck by a sudden force that drove into his side, like a triple coated sledgehammer. He tumbles to the side, his side aching. He holds himself, letting out moans and groans to convey his pain. He wobbles to his feet slightly groggy from the attack. His eyes return from their blurry state and become focused again, allowing him to look on his attacker.
It was a goat...of sorts. It had ripping muscles that tore some of its flesh. It was six feet tall, and it's mouth foamed, eyes bloodsot with absolute rage and furry. Maikeru was astounded by it, and sickened by its horrid looks. A disturbing parody of an actual goat. Maikeru stood his ground and waited for the beast to make its moved. The monster pounded it's hooves on the rock, waving it's head like a club, bahing a low bah. Maikeru cringed. It charged at him at blinding speed. Maikeru jumped, avoiding direct contact, but it swung it's head upward, catching him, and threw him to the side like a ragdoll. "Damn....what the hell are you?" Maikeru jumped to his feet. Maikeru barely had time to react when it made another charge. Maikeru rolled away, avoiding being stampeded by a single heard goat. Maikeru knew he couldn't kill it using brute strength. He was clearly outclassed in that very aspect. But maybe he could outsmart it. It was clearly bulky, though fast, Maikeru could use that to its disadvantage. A large body is hard to control. He took out his kunai, and stabbed it on a rock. The goat made another charge, and side flipped, taking another kunai and stabbing it into another frail rock. He took a piece of special string he had packed. He quickly tied it to the kunai and ran to the other one, just as it made another bum rush. He quickly tied it to the other, and jumped up, taunting it. The beast went wild, and came running, much faster and harder than before, coming like a locomotive. Is tripped over the string, and flew into the air. He watched in awe as the monstrosity flew over him in the air, wiggling madly. It landed on the hard rocks, with a loud grunt. Maikeru recklessly jump on top of it and punches it in the maw, repeatedly. He takes out another kunai, and drives it in its heart. Maikeru takes a deep sigh. He lays down next to it. He turns his head and looks at the head of the beast, it's tongue dropping out of its mouth. He smiles with an idea in mind.

Maikeru walked down the hell, the mountain. The monster goat had given him a run for his money. Though, he had a spoiler of war, it's skull strapped to his hip. He was happy with his trophy, though he should report to Karumo of the encounter with the strange goat. Maikeru had his fair share of encounter of monstrous animals when he ran with his mentor, Takehare. Maikeru sat down at the edge of the mountain. Peered around, searching for something to do on his break. He looked behind him, and saw a dark cave. It's inside contents were unknown. It's darkness can trivial that of the abyss itself. Maikeru just had to explore.
He hoofed his way inside. It was truly dark. Maikeru felt his senses increase out of paranoia and anxiety. He didn't know what lurked in the cave, though it could be something dangerous. This fact only excited him more, and he continued to press on. He than tripped over something of and fell to the ground. He got up and dusted himself off. His hands moved along the cave floor, curious to see what had tripped their owner. He felt something smooth. Yet, it was rugged on a few sides. It had...two holes inside it. Maikeru reached in his back pocket to retrieve a high powered glowing stick. He bended it in Alf, and watched blue light emerse the dark cave. He looked at the object in his hand. He raised an eyebrow to surprise of what lied in his hand. A human skull. Maikeru examined it. The back of the head was severely broken. He dropped it to the ground. Most people would be horrified, and ran back. Not Maikeru. He wanted to keep going, and even find clues to what happened to the owner of the mysterious skull.
Maikeru heard a shape and high pitched scream farther into the cave. "What the hell?" He ran forward to investigate. He from the darkness he was soon met by something running into his chest. He looked at the thing that had her hands on his shoulders and a panicked look in her eyes. Maikeru was taken aback by it. She was attired with a dress that was tattered, and supposed pure white was faded by dirt. Her skin was the same, it looked so clean, get with a few pebbles of dirt clumps. "You have to help me! Please! This way!" She took Maikeru's hand and ran deeper into the cave. Maikeru listened to the slapping of her bare feet onto the solid rock floor. He was confused to what was going on, and she didn't look calm enough to explain anything to him. All of the sudden she stopped. Her hand in Mail's went limp. He let go and watch as it fell to her side, than gently swung back and forth till eventually stopping. She turned around. Her face of panicked had disappeared, and was replaced by a look of evil, a wicked smile of bad intent. Her eyes...we're now gone, only holes in her sockets. She than dispersed into a swarm of bats that flew up to hang against the cave wall. Maikeru should have known...it was a Genjutsu. One that has been placed on this cave. He sighed and turned around, exiting the cave.

Maikeru shook his head. The cave he was in had left many questions in his head. Why was it there? How was Genjutsu passed on to it? And who casted it and why? Maikeru shook his head once again. He didn't want to dwell on it too much. He would let the ANBU handle it, once he reports his finding of the mysterious cave back to the higher ups. He was almost at the end of the tens of miles that was mountain range. He was feeling proud of himself. Through, he was sure that there were more obstacles in his way. Maikeru came at the top of the Mountain. The largest one there is. It was slightly more difficult to breathe. He looked down on the mountain as he grabbed a slab of rock. Using his fists, he chipped the slabs edges. He looked down. Maikeru smiled. He was hundreds of feet from the bottom....the end of the mountain.
He threw the slab in front of him. He stood on top of it, as it was over the edge. He stood on top of it. As he shifted his weight forward, the slab started to move over the edge. The world begun to move up away from the Mountain. Maikeru's heart begun to race. As he started to move down the mountain at high speeds, Maikeru felt the adrenalin super charge his body. He vividly feel the wend brush his face, and messy up his hair. His clothing was going wild. The feeling was exhilarating and he didn't want it to end. Maikeru noticed the rocks placed in his path. "This is gonna be fun!" He moved his slab of rock left and right moving pass the rocks and boulders that stood in his way. He was feeling confident in himself. He hoped and slid all over the place, his movements perfectly evading the natural obstacle course. The side of the mountain began to get greener, increasing his speed. Trees appeared before him. His smirk widened as he jumped up, his arms raised into the air. He grabbed a branch, and flipped on it in a few rotations, and launched himself further down the mountain. Finally, he hit a stump and flipped into the air. He steadied himself to get a clean landing. Maikeru raises his arms into the air triumphant in his wilderness training. He pointed to the mountain. "I beat you."  He felt victory wash over him. He had completed a milestone. Maikeru reflected on what he went through. Heart felt memories, a outwardly goat, and a have haunted by a power fans disturbing Genjutsu. Maikeru smiled. He went through it all. He was more than satisfied it had made him a stronger ninja. He took a final look at the mountain and went back to the Iwagakure.[exit]
