Haru Soseiji
D-rank
A resounding SMACK echoed through the empty coliseum that was bared down on by the bright undeterred sun If it had not been for the east blowing wind that went about it today it would seem a bit hot fro the two competitors. Though these fighters today would be a bit different from what people would expect, for while there was two, they in truth, where part of a single whole.
THUD. This was the best way to describe what it sound like when you've just been slapped by yourself in the face. Hai reeled back a bit as she looked at Haru, placing her right foot forward and left foot just a bit back with her knees bent. Her sunlight colored eyes stared at Haru's sapphire hues and waited for her next action. Haru had limited mental communication in order for the two of them to train without reading each other's thoughts. Hai would rush forward this time being the aggressor, forming a flat palm and seeking to strike Haru in the stomach, and met the mark, but not without a clumsy execution of a leg sweep, performed by falling but kicking forward at Hai's left ankle, sending both to the ground. Hai landed on her rear while Haru landed on her back, but was laughing. For them, sparring often came down to this. They trying to be stronger, but because they were always evenly matched, even when not connecting telepathically, the other usually knew a good counter for the other, simply because while they didn't have the exact same thought process, it was near identical in most ways.
To the onlooker, the sight would have been more than a little strange. Because Haru was a part of the Soseiji clan, and was fighting her clone. They wore very similar clothing. Haru wore a pair of black slacks and a light blue button down with a yellow necktie. Usually, she would be better dressed for a spar, but this was a spontaneous decision. For Hai, she was wearing the same style clothing, but was wearing no necktai, and instead was wearing a blue newsboy looking cap on her head.
Haru and hai would each stand up, Haru being a bit slower having to get up off her back, while Hai simply stood up and brushed herself off from the dirt of the coliseum. Now Haru would be the aggressor, albiet in an odd style, tumbling forward like a drunk, before using the momentum to spin on her back and kick about at Hai. Hai, was honestly taken off guard a bit, and got a kick to the stomach for her trouble, and fell backwards, as Haru lifted her own body off the ground quickly and stood straight with a smile. Haru and Hai both knew the best way to go about this, and it was to fight in a way that neither would be able to expect. After all, they knew each other too well for a straight fight with each other.
But for now, Haru offered a hand and helped Hai up as they locked eyes a moment, and Hai noted it as time to allow communication. Hai mentally laughed and spoke in her mind That was a dirty trick Haru-kun!. Haru would just turn around and inwardly, and smile while looking about the coliseum. Haru thought to Hai with a cheer to the tone Well, that's kinda how Zui Quan works Hai, You gotta be ready to react and to do something odd!. Haru would continue to inwardly give a slight chuckle as she thought of what to do next. Sparring, while it killed time, wasn't their ideal training style unless someone joined them in all honesty.
Hai thought to her friend Well we could work on the track for now, we have spent the last whjile fighting, we could do for some more leg excercise . Haru nodded in agreement. There was also some obstacles on the track though would do well for them to work on.
Haru and Hai, removing hat and necktie from themselves and placing them on a bench that also had a blue cardigan and a lab coat. Now all but their eyes looks like twin boys , their appearance as women a bit askew thanks to the bandages suppressing their appearance. They simply did it because it allowed them to keep better balance than if they where left unrestrained. And it usually meant some idiot wouldn't come and bother them while they were training.
HAru and Hai took off across the track, keeping speed with each other, but Haru just a bit ahead, given she was the one that gave the signal, she reacted at the end of her Go, while Hai took a moment to register it. This was most certainly a slight advantage, as even now they were competing. The leaped the hurdles nearly in sync, but Haru almost tripped when the tip of one of her feet barely nicked a hurdle's top, causing Haru to have to hop on a loafer covered foot a few steps, putting her just a few inches behind Hai now, and Haru cursed inwardly a bit at her left foot as they ran, Haru leaning forward a bit more and stretching out her steps while kicking forward, her movements ab it more like single footed leaps for a bit instead of running, and managed to barely keep up with Hai, before going back to her normal pace, to which Hai mentally laughed to Haru Trying a bit hard there Haru, what fraid to lose?. Haru laughed back mentally while keeping steady breaths.
The two had always been like this, their competitiveness was rather well known for when they were in the Academy, often racing the other students, and each other, for lunch, and even going so far as to arm wrestle each other for the last of a type of food the other may have wanted. After all, while their were the same person, they still had to try to one up the other, their own way of bettering themselves was a way to put it for sure.
