1 Break a Bridge [B-rank/Mission] Tue May 17, 2016 9:13 pm

D-rank
It was just yesterday that Maigo was sent to the border of the village to place a sigil, a simple task but the run itself had left him quite fatigued. And here he stood again, in the missions office being lectured at by the woman in charge. This time though, he was getting a much more heavy and dangerous mission. This time, he was getting sent to blow a bridge sky high through whatever means necessary, but given his own lack of jutsu, he would be requisitioning a bunch of explosive tags. A bunch meaning a lot, and a lot meaning a literal ton of them. A stack so thick it hardly fit in his hand. He tucked it away into his ninja pouch, immediately feeling it's weight, he wasn't used to having so much tucked away in there.
Maigo looked at a map on the desk though, this time he would be sent near the Land of Blood, with three key locations marked and some bridges that need to be destroyed. The first bridge was simple, made of wood and such, it would fall easily and the other two were a combination of wood and some stones. He had enough paper tags to easily finish off all three of them. With his path marked though, he learned of some possible resistance to his efforts, mercenary guards being hired out to defend the builders. The way he planned it, no one would be near the bridge to stop him in any form.
With the information memorized and his supplies all readied out, he again flickered from the room, saluting the woman just before he did so, a smile on his face. Maybe she would see the sarcasm in the notion, maybe she wouldn't, it didn't matter anymore as Maigo headed out from the building and again dashed towards the gate guards. Waving them off again, he headed south towards the land of blood and to the first of the three bridges that awaited him.
The journey there was quite, it was evening now and the sun was beginning to set in a hue of orange, red, and yellow over the sky. Poetically ironic that the explosion of the sky would be the backdrop for the explosions he was about to create himself. He activated his sharingan and began to eye out the scene as best he could from the tree top he was perched on. At the first bridge, he found 3 mercenary guards and 3 builders, the guards sat around and patrolled the edges of the encampment as the builders sat on a nearby stone drinking and eating, probably taking a break. He jumped down from the tree, now on level ground with them but still around 100 meters away, placing two explosive tags at the trees around him, at the base so that it would blow a great hole in the ground.
Then he sprinted ahead towards the bridge, about 30 meters to the side and knelt down at another tree. Focusing his chakra he formed the half snake sign and released the explosive tags, two explosions of great force went off, shaking the ground at his feet even at such a distance. Debris sent around and a shockwave with smoke rising up, he watched the mercs turn to each other and brandish their weapons, two charged into the forest and one stuck behind at the entrance of the clearing to keep an eye out. He would be easy, Maigo threw a kunai and hit him in the neck as soon as the others were far enough away. Then sprinting to the bridge and ducking to the underside, using the supernatural walking practice, he placed five tags on the underside of the wooden bridge. One at each intersection and another fifth tag at a cross bar that ran support across the entirety of the bridge. Then exiting on the opposite side, he dashed into the woods, whether the builders saw him or not didn't matter.
Once the mercs arrived again, Maigo exited the brush and stood just before the bridge, whistling out to them to catch their attention. They turned their attention from their dead comrade to Maigo, anger in their eyes they foolishly charged forward. He waited until they both had their footing on the bridge, both of their weapons drawn, Maigo simply raised his hand again, forming a half snake seal and eyeing them with his sharingan. The explosion would rock the bridge from its very foundation, ripping it from both sides of the land and breaking it's support in the center. The shock wave alone sent the two men straight to their knees as it began to crumble away to the rushing river below.
Maigo watched as the two fell, the builders that were there had already run off into the woods, and for Maigo, he had two more bridges to take down and a sun that was rapidly setting. But his next two targets were nearby, and hopefully the explosions and noise hadn't alerted them and put them on edge or anything. That could get annoying, more people getting in his way and what not, oh well, couldn't be helped at that point. All he would do is move stealthy through the tree line until he was at his next location.
