The Shikyo clan is a very old clan originating at the root of Ninjutsu itself like a lot of other older clans. During those times the Shikyo were a more peaceful and allied group founded by the clan leader at the time Zeta. Zeta had a vision of a utopia where all the elements in the shinobi universe could work together to benefit the common good. At the time this was an ideology founded around being kind to one another and fighting for the protection of your loved ones and for the good of the world. After Zeta’s passing the clan went through rough times as the next generation war began to brew. Amongst the elemental clan heads there was much debate over who to support and if they should even be involved at all. This caused a schism in the elemental factions leading to separation of the five factions where they would move and create their own cities and villages in various countries generally of the country they had supported during the Great War. Though the years have passed the Shikyo are still a very traditional clan getting their ideals from the time just before the war broke out and each faction was influenced by the leading faction head during the time of the schism. As such there are notable differences between the five factions in both ideals and customs.



    The Doton faction is the faction that is still in the location of when the clan was created by Zeta. The Doton faction believes that all life was created to benefit the earth. They use their Doton to help create defensive terrain for various small villages. They are known to be protectors using their abilities to defend one another at all costs. They are in close alliance with the Suiton faction and as such they are often assigned to help protect the Suiton faction.



    The Suiton faction believes that all life exists because of water and feels like it should be worshipped. While traditionally a more passive faction they have been known to create serious warriors within their group. The Suiton faction focuses on healing and are often called upon to help aid villages with their power of healing water which is developed after extensive training. They are closely allied with the Doton Faction.



    The Fuuton faction believes that the wind hides no secrets and through the course of time is the strongest of the elements. The Fuuton faction heavily base their ideals on a firm judiciary system believing that being open and candid is the best quality one could have. As such the Fuuton faction while extremely blunt are incapable of lying. They are also known to have the best court system in the shinobi world believe every person should have the right to defend themselves for their alleged crimes. The Fuuton faction has no close allies within the Shikyo clan.




    The Katon faction believes that fire while the most volatile is also only wielded by those who are courageous and worthy of it and if one is unworthy they are burned. The katon faction focuses on creating a strong military presence. Advancement in the Katon faction often means brutal fights and tests with low survivability. Katon faction members are trained to be as fearless as possible meaning they would do anything to prove their bravery. The Katon faction has no close allies within the Shikyo clan.



    The Raiton faction is a unique entity as it hated by the four other factions. While Doton, Katon, Suiton, and Fuuton all benefit the creation of the world it is believed Raiton is only a symbol of destruction. To try and limit these feelings the raiton faction head made sure that the raiton clan would be completely neutral and form no military or warriors. Anyone presenting the will to fight or become violent are banished from the faction and branded as such. The raiton faction is drastically further away from the other factions and is rumored to be so far away because those they banish are expected to die.



Kekkei Genkai Description:

Shikyo Blessing:  Shikyo clan members are natural prodigies when it comes to speed. As such they get +2 speed to their stats; speed also comes as an instinct to them, and it takes 5% less words to train the Speed stat. Shikyo members also have access to the "Reflexes" SC for free (without having balance with a negative SC).

Since Shikyo only have one element their control over their one element is exceptional because of this they have absolute control of the shape and density of their element, even changes the color of their element, erratic elements like fire and raiton become calm, etc.



Drawbacks: Can only have 1 element, and must have Ninjutsu and Bukijutsu [Kenjutsu or Sworsmanship] as specializations. In addition because their bodies are lighter and more agile their strength is reduced by 1 and their endurance is reduced by 1. 5% Increase in word counts when training stats other than speed. Shikyo cannot learn Kugutsu.

I'd prefer the +1 damage come off. If not, there will need to be a substantial drawback attached.

I edited. I got approved by Miles to revamp pretty much everything so long as I kept the 1 element drawback and specs so it didnt mess with any existing shikyo. Miles also at least seems to think the way it is now is balanced since he helped me with the idea to begin with. Guess you just have to think so as well xD.

Increasing projectile speed is an absolute no. I'm not opening up that possibility.

I can edit I was told it would be possible but no more than 10 mp/s. I can edit it out, would removing that and making strength -1 instead of -2 be fair?

You can ask for Miles to speak to me about it, but I'm not approving this with a jutsu speed buff.

Thats fine but my previous question. If I get rid of it can I get make strength a -1 instead of -2 or remove strength debuff from the equation.

Not remove the strength debuff entirely. And I'd want the cooldown of going to max speed increased if you are going to be avoiding the inherent debuff.

The +2 speed buff and the reduced drawback for sprinting are fine, I guess, but I don't like that huge tack-on to the speed you're already boosting.

The +1 to speed capability is fine.

The elemental control is just aesthetic....keep in mind that almost everyone can cast jutsu near-simultaneously, so that ability you have on the clan is practically useless. So both of those don't really count as buffs.

One element, -1 to two stats, and 25% WC increase are your drawbacks. ('must take nin and buki' does not count.) I would say the +1 to speed capability balances with the WC increase, and the double -1s and one element roughly balance the +2 speed buff and reduced drawback to sprinting.

1/2 approved once you remove the +10m/s to sprint speed.

Theres no way you would allow that secondary effect if it began at A rank speed, only be used once per turn and applies the speed debuff as normal so -2 afterward?

+2 tiers to speed, lessened burst drawback, and the ability to cast 2 jutsu at a time (even though as I stated before, everyone has the option), balanced by only 1 element, -1 tier to endurance and strength, and +25% WC to train any non-speed stat.

Seems good. Approved.

-Lowered Speed stat training to 5% decrease from 10%

-Added the ability to reach max sprint speed without building up speed. Essentially increased acceleration with only one step to potentially maximum sprint speed or lower if needed.
-Clarified that Shikyo can in fact make Shikyo clan jutsu relating to speed as well as their element.
