Clan History: A little known clan during the Warring States Era, the Ikeba were fostered away from the fighting, in more obscure lands where they were able to teach their children to grow up and save lives, rather than take them. The clan believed that forgiveness and camaraderie was the only way to save the shinobi world of their down spiral, and came to respect the Senju for their ideals over time, moving into the land that would come to formally be known as Amegakure.

They continued to preach about the necessity of peace, even as tensions grew between the Five Great Shinobi Countries, and as the First Shinobi War broke out, they stuck firmly behind their ways of life, healing all that wandered broken through their lands. They were both praised and hated by all sides of the war, for healing each nations’ enemies and comrades alike. As the war calmed down, they faded back into obscurity.
It wasn’t until the Third War broke out, that anything really changed. Their clan head at the time, was an old woman of the name Momiji, and she partitioned for the clan to set up a medic camp in the middle of the battle field (the then politically weakened Amegakure), treating all those who asked for help. This worked for a while, and the many children orphaned by the destruction were given places to eat, sleep and work. One man who declined to mention his allegiance stayed in the camp for a night. The next day was chaos.

A platoon of unidentified nin ransacked the place, killing without discrimination, wounded, children or otherwise. The clan head was killed the slaughter and the few remaining clan members (no more than thirty of them) fled to the corners of world to nurse their wounds and hope for justice. Over the years many of their teachings were lost, but the tradition of practising Medical Jutsu stuck with them, and as the Fourth Shinobi War came to a head, they could be found in various medical camps healing others as well as they could.

Over time the clan has flourished, settling down in all corners of the known shinobi world, and holds onto the few teachings they haven’t lost, still strict practitioners of the medical arts. Now they can be found in almost every ninja village, in small groups or even just a family or two, but they pass down their knowledge as best they can and continue their mission to heal the world.

Important People:

Current ‘Clan Head’: Ikeba Kaede (Only really in name, as the clan members do not directly answer to her, but will go to her if summonsed. She is in possession of all the literary documents the clan was able to salvage after the Amegakure slaughter. She's a 56 year old, grey/red haired woman who is very traditional but kind.)

Kekkei Genkai Description: Due to a history of studying and perfecting their abilities in the Medical arts, members of the Ikeba Clan are able to perform Medical Ninjutsu at one rank higher than normal, e.g. a Chuunin level nin being able to perform A-rank Medical Techniques.

Drawbacks: Due to the clan members’ focus on Medical Ninjutsu, all of them have a late start in the rest of their training, particularly elemental training. Each member must start with only ONE Element (this can be of their choice). This element starts at B-rank (instead of S-rank) and they may gain their secondary element when they advance to Chuunin/C-rank, but it must start at D-rank. Their secondary specialization must begin at D-rank. Because they are less close combat focused as a whole, they cannot take Taijutsu or Bukijutsu as specializations.

You just need to juggle some wording in your drawbacks to make it a little more clear, where you say they can only begin with one element at B rank, sounds like you're saying they get both elements, but one of them begins at B rank, the rest is really very good. Just clear that up. "members of this clan only begin with a single element, this element begins at B rank they may learn and train their secondary element from D rank at chuunin.." Or something. :)
