Reag

Reag

D-rank
With a twitching eye, a young boy boiled in the harsh sunlight of the desert, reflecting on his poor luck. Several days ago, his team had arrived in the desert village of Sunagakure, on some diplomatic mission. They had been immediately directed to a hotel, where they had settled in. The next day, after the rest of his squad members had left on various errands, a Suna messenger had knocked on their hotel room door, bearing a scroll. The young wire user took said scroll, and the messenger vanished in a puff of smoke. This caused a sigh from the leaf shinobi, as he had several questions he wished to pose to the foreign village's chain of command. Breaking the seal, he read the hastily delivered message.

The wire user was not amused. From what he could tell, there was probably some kind of mix up in the  address, as this mission was what he expected a solo Chuunin to take, rather than a single Genin. The orders themselves where simple. Kill a drug dealer. That was also where the problems stemmed from. While the leaf Genin was unaware of how Suna operated on a day to day level, Konoha did not send fourteen year olds to murder people, no matter how deserving they might be. Putting a hand on his head, the leaf shinobi rubbed his temples as he tried to decide what to do. The pay for this mission was very good. Reag liked money. He liked money a lot. He wasn’t a fan of killing people. Bodily harm was fine though.

His brow furrowed further. The mission specifically stated that the dealer was to be summarily executed, and no pay would be given out for a live capture. It all boiled down to morals. Finally, stuck at an internal impasse, Reag pulled out a small coin, and flipped it. Catching it midair, he pressed it down onto his wrist and moved his hands. With a nod, he began to gear up for his mission. It would be the wire user's first kill. Grabbing his special gloves, Reag reflected on all he had learned about what would happen on this day. They had spent an entire week in the academy preparing the graduates for their day like this. While he didn’t know if he himself could take it, he would be damned if the small fortune they where offering for his services slipped through his fingers.

That was about half an hour ago. Currently, Reag sat under the shade of a tree half a block away from the Suna Shinobi Academy. He was on stake out, and it really sucked. The leaf Genin had not counted on the extreme heat of the desert being as horrible as it was on that day. If he left the shade of his tree, the young Genin almost expected for his feet to catch fire as he walked across the sand. Briefly, the wire user mused about the possibility of using towels and ice water to move around the desert. But that wouldn’t work, as said towels would catch fire almost immediately if they where placed on the sand. It was hotter than the surface of the sun, after all.

Suddenly, Reag's eyes spotted movement in a nearby alleyway. A figure was sitting down on a trashcan, looking extremely nervous. The Konoha Genin pulled out the scroll he was handed, and looked at the picture within it. It took him a few seconds to confirm it, but there was his target, lurking around the academy like the report said he would. Reag reached up onto his head, and pulled his mask down onto his face, covering it. With that, the Genin entered into 'shinobi' mode. He would be exactly like his nindo said he should be. Reag would be polite, professional, but have a plan to kill everybody he met. Gathering his Chakra into his feet, the Konoha Genin walked up the wall behind him. He would have to move via the roof tops for a surprise attack.

It took him several seconds to loop around, but eventually the wire user was above his target, with the dealer being none the wiser. Reag stood in position, ready to act. His orders clearly stated he was to wait till after his target attempted to make a sale before moving to engage him. The leaf shinobi only hoped he wouldn’t have to wait too long. He was already tired and slightly dehydrated from waiting in the shade. To pass the time until his target acted, the Genin began to check his equipment carefully, looking for anything that might be wrong or might interfere with his mission. He did not find anything. Satisfied, he looked back down into the alley way, to see his target harass a very young academy student. The conditions where fulfilled. It was go time.

Breathing out, he began his ritual for using his techniques. First Step: Gather your Chakra. Reaching deep into himself, he gathered about a tenth of his total capacity for the two jutsus he would be using in tandem. Second Step: Mold your Chakra. His energies where forced into his wires, both sharpening them and allowing for a great deal of control. Final Step: Release your Chakra. He let the energy settle into his wires. With that, his techniques where complete. The wire user would have control of his wires, along with making them sharp enough to cause deep cuts into unguarded flesh.

Linking two of his nine threads together, Reag created a slipknot made of razerwire. The plan itself was simple. He quickly set up a single pullet at the top of the wall, while sending the loop of razor wire down to his foe's neck. The moment it was in place, he jumped. The effect of his attack would be simple. The force of his falling would slice the drug dealers neck open like a hot knife through butter, slicing all the blood vessels and other tubes. He would be dead within half of a minute. After landing, the Genin would anchor his wires to the ground, and wait for his target to bleed out. Falling, Reag whispered the name of his technique: “Ninpo: Keiri no Harigane (Ninja Skill: Hangman's Wire)
