”What, defend the fortress? What idiot would want to attack Iwa in a time like this?” Shibirin spoke to himself. Apparently, a few ninja were seen lurking around the construction area of Bastion Adamantine. At the moment, the current guard there is short on staff, so he cannot fend off any attacks. Shibirin felt as if Iwagakure needed more staff, to avoid situations like these. He’d volunteer to be the new guard, but that would mean fewer missions, maybe none at all. The mission still stood: he had to go over there and neutralize the threat. Like usual, he had his three katana sheathed by his left hip: Genko, Sai and Noro. He was just on his way now, towards the fortress.

After a few minutes of walking, Shibirin finally arrived at the construction site of the fortress. He could only see two guards on duty, ’Yup, Iwa needs more men’ he thought to himself, now making his way over towards one of the two men. ”Hello there, name’s Shibirin. I’m the ninja the Tsuchikage sent to help you” Shibirin said to him. Shibirin couldn’t help but notice that this person who was on guard of the fortress, was indeed Higori: the guy he had met outside of cave Neverendless whilst he was doing his Special jounin test. The man gave Shibirin a broad smile and he replied back, ”Great to have you here with us, Shibirin. We still haven’t figured out who those men are, or what they are doing here. We were hoping you could find out”. Great, Shibirin was given a job to do already. He had been prepared to just wing it and do nothing for the rest of the day, then return back to the Tsuchikage and say he had completed the mission, but guess now he had to actually do something. He decided to take the man’s orders, and took a large jump towards one of the fortress walls. He then looked down upon the ground, searching for the 5 mysterious men, but could only see 2. He decided to go down and see what the two were up to. If they decided to attack, Shibirin would be more than happy to fight them both: after all, he wasn’t the same old, weak chuunin he was 2 days ago, he had gotten better. ”I’m going to go down there and take a closer look at those two guys down there” Shibirin called out towards the guard he had spoken to earlier, and he called back, ”Watch your back”. Shibirin then gave him a quick nod of the head, before he turned back towards the two mysterious men and took a leap down towards them.

Shibirin landed right behind the two guys and said, ”Pleasant day to stalk a village, isn’t it boys?” He then placed his left arm on the handle of his Genko blade. The two men stopped their conversation, and quickly turned around to see the back of Shibirin’s body. ”P-p-p…please sir, d-don’t attack us. W-we didn’t do anything, it was all the working of those three punks that went the other way, they did it” spoke one of the two boys. Judging from the way they spoke to Shibirin, even though he seemed younger than them, they were the victims of the other three men that had been seen lurking around the fortress. Shibirin was confused; he hadn’t a clue of what was going on. Shibirin knew he wasn’t the bad guy here, so why had the two men assumed that he would harm them? ”What’s going on around here?” he asked the man who had said that. ”Don’t you know, they are trying to smash down this compound. We can over here to see what they were doing, but they told us to go away or they’d kill us” the guy spoke again. Shibirin then asked, ”Well, where are they now…?” Shibirin asked, but before his question could be answered, three, male figures approached Shibirin and said, ”Right under your nose”. Shibirin didn’t know what to do. He was prepared to fight two people, but not three. He decided to try and talk the three men out of it, hoping that violence wouldn’t be included in the solution. ”Why do you want to take out the fortress anyway, haven’t you got better things to do?” Shibirin asked, entirely meaning to be rude. The guy simply smirked at Shibirin and said, ”This fortress is being built on our clan’s land, we want it taken down”. Shibirin could tell that he was working with a couple of ignorant fools, selfish too, who just wanted what was best for their clan and not for the village. He could clearly see that compromising with them wasn’t going to help much, so he decided he had to force them away. He had the help of Higori and his partner, so Shibirin would only need to take care of one of the men. He quickly drew out his Sai katana, in his right hand, using the reverse hand grip. He took a swing at the guy standing in the middle of the bunch’s head, but likewise, he jumped backwards and avoided the attack. The other two ninja did the same, as they prepared to engage into battle mode.

”Higori, a little help here!” Shibirin called out, before he drew out his Noro blade, with his left hand, also using the reverse hand grip and charged towards the three men. The one that was standing to the right side of the leader, jumped to the right and the one standing to the left of him, jumped to the left. The other two guys who had explained themselves as worried citizens had disappeared, most likely to avoid the conflict between Shibirin and the mysterious nin. Luckily enough, Higori jumped over the fortress and met with Shibirin down on the ground. His partner followed him down; now the odds were even. ”I’ll take the one on the left. Rune, you take the one on the right,” spoke Higori. ’So his friend’s name is Rune?’ thought Shibirin, before saying, ”I’ll take the one in the middle”. There battle plan was set, it was time to fight.
Shibirin went charging towards his target, both his left hand and right hand katana now held with the inverse hand grip, held behind him as he ran, but were quickly pulled around and out towards their opponent, before being pulled downwards, in an attempt to slice the opponent’s chest. The guy jumped up in the air, getting off the ground by a meter or two, but this was his first mistake. Shibirin didn’t wait for the guy to land on the ground, before making another move on him first. As the guy hovered in mid air for about a split second, Shibirin took this chance to perform one of the kenjutsu moves he had been practicing last week. He called it, ‘Blinded slice: soaring aim’. Typically, he’d throw one or more of his katana towards his target, like kunais or throwing knives, only, he throws them at an angle that when used out in the sun, reflect the sun’s rays into the target’s eyes and blind them from the attack. Shibirin decided to do just that. He already had two of his swords drawn out, so half of the kenjutsu move had been done for him already. He then swung his body towards the left, before swinging back around to face the front, throwing both of his katana at the guy as soon as he landed on the ground. The guy shielded his eyes away from the sun’s reflection on the swords, but this still meant that he couldn’t see the attack coming. The swords flew through either of his arms and out the other way. It wasn’t a pretty sight to watch. Most of the swords’ kinetic energy had been absorbed by the target’s flesh, so as soon as they came out the other end, they dropped to the ground, 2m behind the guy. Shibirin stood there in awe, for the first 3 seconds after the attack, before he drew out his other katana, Genko and came towards the guy for one last swing.
Shibirin came closer and closer to the guy, but he didn’t budge an inch. He must’ve been so shocked by the attack, and now couldn’t move in time to dodge the upcoming attack. Blood was dripping down from his arms, into his hands and falling on the earthy ground. Shibirin took no pity on the guy, as he now performed a 360 spin backwards, his Genko sword held tightly in his right arm with the inverse hand grip. The moment he stopped spinning, he swung his sword vertically downwards across the guy’s chest, and the man fell backwards: he had lost this fight. Shibirin then quickly re-sheathed his Genko blade, turned around to look behind him and saw that Higori and Rune had already beaten and captured their men. Shibirin then turned back around, towards his opponent: he was covered in more blood than his other mates. He then walked past the disabled body of the guy and went over behind it to pick up his two other swords, Sai and Noro, before re-sheathing them in their sheaths. ”Let’s take them to the special orps, they might want these three for questioning” spoke Shibirin, as he now picked up his wounded opponent and made his way towards the kage building.
