Spoiler:

Misao gawked at the massive turtle in front of her, the only thing she could compare the size to was a mountain. The size of the tortoise was wasn't the only thing outstanding, it had a forest on its back and that in itself was cause for amazement. Her attention was snapped back to the situation at hand when one of the proctors yelled at the group of genin she was in, Some of them jumped while others tended to try and put on a tough act. The group settled down and payed attention as one of the proctors began to talk. "Alright brats, some of you may think yourselves ready to be Chunnin, but thats not up to you is it? We stand before the mighty Tortoise Genbu! You would do well to remember the name as it may be your grave stone. " Misao along with some of the other Genin gulped at what was just told to them before the proctor continued. " What do you fight for? do you even know? Even if you think you know you will find the answer on the back of Genbu. Their are encoded symbols and their translations carved throughout the forest, on rocks, upon trees. Your mission is to find them, and translate them into what is what identifies your ninja way… what does a ninja fight for? Their is no time limit, be warned though, the beasts lurking about with rip you apart if you are not careful. Now You may begin the first task."

The proctors left and the group of genin dispersed in separate ways trying to answer the question that was asked. Misao chose to just keep going straight as their was no way of telling which way to go. She gauged the surroundings and spotted what looked to be a symbol high up on a tree. Wanting to go ahead and get a clue to the situation she walked up to the tree only to be startled by what looked to be a giant tiger, she backed up and leaped aside as the tiger snarled angered by her approach. A scream was heard in the distance, and it caused a shiver to go down her spine. She edged away slowly not wanting to disturb the tiger and deducing that she could always find a symbol that didn't have something guarding it that wanted to eat her face. Feeling she had gone far enough away from the beast she scanned the forest area yet again looking for another clue and spotted something glitter in the distance. She bolted to it and noticed it was a rock but unlike a rock she had ever seen before, it could not be described as a gem so she figured it was some kind of unrefined metal ore. She picked it up and inspected it, the symbol on it had no meaning as she could tell as it had no words not even a picture that she could describe it as. The rock seemed to have a dull glow to it though and although it seemed to be ore at first glance as she studied it she had an idea. Focusing her chakra she let it flow gently into the stony material and watched with fascination as the symbol swirled and changed to words in front of her. 'Slaughter anything' She frowned. Slaughtering was not on her to do list and she was pretty sure their was more to discover in the forest.

Seeing as though this task was not going to be quick or easy she readied her Kawarimi no Jutsu as a precaution. The leaves swirled and the trees swayed in the gentle wind as what she could only assume was the tortoise moving. The flow of the trees gave her an idea and she ran up to the top of one on the taller trees to try and get a birds eye view. Misao squinted and looked out over the trees attempting to spot anything that could be of any help to her. A glint on a near by tree caught her attention and she jumped over to investigate. 'Another message.' This time she went ahead and poured some chakra into it just as she had done the last. The words became clear. 'Anyone's out to get you.' Sighing she committed the words to memory and began looking for another clue. So far she had only found messages of killing and paranoia, for some people that answer would fit their way, for her answer it would not.

It had been over seven hours since the test had began. She had found three more messages, the first reading: 'Enemy's feel' , 'Stab strongly' and 'Turn about' On their own each of the messages she found could be applied to a ninja way, however as time went on the less she liked the message she was getting. She sighed again and decided to turn in what she had found anyways on the off chance it was the answer the instructors was looking for. She made her way back along the path she had came only to spot the same tiger from earlier looming in the distance right in her way. She wanted to go around but didn't have enough time to change her rout as the tiger charged biting her, or at least it thought it had. In a poof of smoke her Kawarimi no Jutsu went off and by the time the tiger realized he had been tricked she had already made it near where the proctors were and the tiger slinked back away into the forest. The proctor wasted no time as he neared the genin, wondering if she had solved the puzzle or was giving up. "What is your ninja way?" He asked, a blank look on his face. Misao caught her breath and read out the answers she found. "Slaughter anything, anyone's out to get you, Enemy's feel, stab strongly and turn about." She said catching her breath after running from the tiger. The proctor let out a small sigh and was about to say something when the light went off in Misao's head. "Wait! if you take the last words from each message it makes more sense! Anything you feel strongly about! That's the real message!
The proctor raised an eyebrow and repeated the question. "So what is your ninja way?" This time she understood. It was not what the message was so much as what it forced her to ask herself to figure it out. Sure, her dream was to be the best medical shinobi in the world, however that was the goal not the way. "My ninja way is to keep helping people, even when it gets hard." She answered hoping she had gotten the question right. She looked on in desperation as the proctor thought about the logic behind her answer and then smiled. "You have solved the question. You may proceed to the next task, good luck."
