Trial:

The time had finally arrived for Fuyuko to start her very first trial of the chuunin exams. She was rather nervous but at the same time excited, the time had finally arrived for her to see how far she had gotten. Was her growth enough for her to be good enough for her to pass the trials? Was it potentially even big enough to win the entire thing? In the end only time could tell. Actually doing the trials and passing them was the only way to find out if it had been enough.

While she was being lead towards the arena of the first trial she kept telling herself over and over that she was going to make it. That everything will work out in the end and that she should believe in herself. Believe in her capabilities. She remembered the moment where Nozomi told her she fought well calming her nerves as she did so. She looked up towards the proctor as he explained the objective of the first trial to her.

In the arena is a proctor waiting for you. He has created 4 copies of himself. He has hidden himself, alongside his clones, in the arena. You are to find all of the clones and defeat them without harming the real proctor. Harming the proctor will be considered as failing the trail and thus failing the exams. In short, find all the clones and defeat them without harming the proctor.

With the proctors words said the door behind him opened up and Fuyuko stepped through into the arena. The sun was a little bit blinding after having walked through the poorly lit tunnel to get to the arena. She raised her hand to block the sunlight from continuously blinding her and giving her a better time to look at the arena. An audible thud could be heard behind her. She turned around to find out it was only the door closing behind her again. When she turned towards the arena again she quickly jumped to the side dodging a kunai she saw last minute with it now only grazing her clothing instead of stabbing into her arm.

It is no longer the time to get distracted by little things. If I don’t pay attention I could get seriously injured or worse, I have to pay attention to what I’m doing and focus on the task ahead.” She told herself whilst keeping an eye out for any possible incoming attacks. She took a deep breath and whilst she exhaled starting to release a large amount of raiton chakra. It was the perfect jutsu for her to find the hidden targets in the exam area. Giving her the information through the raiton chakra whilst not harming anything it came in touch with. With the jutsu reaching max range she dashed off into the streets of the arena in search of her targets. After having passed a few alley ways she suddenly noticed a signature that wasn’t an inanimate object. Although she had never used the jutsu before to track people down, from this short experience of impulses she could tell it was a different signature. Curious to find out what it was she rushed over in the direction.

Upon arrival she noticed a figure dashing away and the signature following it as it went through her electric net. It was confirmation of her finding a ‘human’ signature, but she couldn’t be certain of that. It might have been the signature of one of the clones and so she decided not to pursue it and instead try and find the real person to see if they would have a different feel to them. Dashing through the alley ways again she went on searching for the real proctor. Whilst trying to keep the one signature she had already found within her radius. It didn’t take long for more signatures to appear. But they were all the same, none of them were unique from the original. That was until she had finally found her fifth target. It felt similar as the others, but it wasn’t as electrifying. That was the information she needed.

With the information she had gathered she headed back in the direction where two signatures were close together. Most likely they were to ambush or fight her together, stacking the odds against her. But with her knowing that they were together they weren’t going to get the better of her. Instead, she was going to use that to her advantage. Arriving at the spot made it even more obvious to her that one of the two was there for bait, while the other would wait for the perfect opportunity to strike. She drew her kunai and charged at the bait. Their kunai’s clashing with both of them not achieving too much but keeping each other in place. Until the moment came where 3 shuriken’s were thrown at her from her blind spot. She waited patiently for them to inch closer and closer until there was only a fraction left for her to still be able to jump up and over. And so she did, jumping over the shuriken and towards the target that had now revealed himself behind her. The shuriken flew straight ahead at the unsuspecting clone and into its chests making an audible ‘poof’ sound when the one final one had hit. With her now flying towards the next target she threw her kunai at him. He slightly moved away to dodge the kunai but in doing so locking his movement into a certain direction. With him being unable to dodge in a different direction Fuyuko aimed her kick and landed it right on top of the clones shoulder. Making this clone also ‘poof’ away in small cloud of smoke.

After the first clone had ‘poofed’ away the other came towards the fighting site to come to its aid. However by the time they would arrive Fuyuko would have already cleared both of the clones leaving her with three targets. Two of which she had to destroy and one she had to make sure not to harm in anyway possible by her doing. However that might become difficult if she had to fight all three of them at the same time. But that seemed almost impossible to avoid now that they arrived together. She knew the guy on top of the roof to her right was real and the other two fake, but knowing that wouldn’t necessarily make her capable of defending from all three without hurting the real person. So instead of waiting on them to come to her she would need to go on the offense once more and strike the clones down before she would get held down into a pinch.

With one of the clones being on the roof with the real person it was probably easier for her to go onto the target that was more vulnerable. Even if that left her open for an attack from above from both targets, if she was fast enough that shouldn’t be a problem. She grabbed three senbon in each hand placing them between her fingers and ran towards the target. The target readied his kunai and anticipating any move that Fuyuko was going to make. When she was about 5 meters out she threw the senbon in her left hand a thigh height. Making sure that were he to dodge in any direction one of them would hit him, forcing him to jump up. Being in a pinch and only really being able to jump upwards the clone did so. Leaving him vulnerable to the other senbon she threw at him. Despite not being able to dodge the senbon he managed to deflect all of them with his kunai. He did however not realize Fuyuko had grabbed another kunai and thrown that right after him impaling him in the chest. She jumped up straight through the cloud of smoke the clone left behind as he vanished.

With only one last target remaining Fuyuko thought she could afford to be slightly reckless, maybe sustain smidge bit of damage but potentially avoid a lot more if she gave them opportunity to coordinate. Heading straight forward for the clone whom threw a kunai at her in a rather predictable way. She managed to dodge it with relative ease but failed to notice because of it that he had grabbed another one. Stopping the blade in its tracks with the palm of her right hand. She clenched on tight to it, pulling the clone in towards her as she went in for a punch to his face with her left hand. “Congratulations you have passed the first trial.” She heard as the last clone vanished.
