Yasu waited patiently in the arena of his first trial, taking in the village hidden in the clouds. He was wearing his normal blach cloak with tight almost form fitting athletic clothes beneath it. The arena was set on a large plateau with small spires littering its surface, each of which having a building growing out of its base and up through its height. His bare feet clenched in the coarse dirt of one of the many roads that weaved itself through the spires and psuedo-buildings that defined this urban landscape, Not knowing what the upcoming events held in store Yasu found a pond on his side of the arena and placed himself near the water's edge in case things got a little hairy, and he had to refill his ammunition.

On the opposite side of the arena there was a tokubetsu jonin weaving through hand seals as an announcer, began relaying instructions for the match over the loudspeakers that were hidden throughout the arena. With a high pitched whine they came to life, and framed the announcer's voice with a mild amount of static."Now. The rules are simple. You are to use the 20 kunai in the bag at your feet to eliminate your opponents clones. Do you understand?" The announcer asked, but merely as a formality, not really waiting for a response before he continued. "Good. Those are the rules. Keep your eyes trained and your mind sharp." The Tokubetsu jonin finished his jutsu and four nearly identical clones appeared next to him,

"Ready. Set. Go."

Taking aggressive action the Special jonin and his clones sprinted across the field giving Yasubei little time to prepare as the distance between the five of them rapidly closed. Taking the event in stride Yasu reached down and grabbed the holster full of kunai, thinking that this was going to be almost too easy as they closed in on him. As he spastically fiddle with the bag trying to pull out a kunai a little too slow, one of them reached him as he attempted to pull out the kunai. He put his on Yasu's currently kunai wielding hand before lifting him up by it and kicking him into the surprisingly deep pond he was standing near. Yasu trailed through the lake leaving a stream of air in his wake as he shot through the water like a bullet.

Seconds later, after swimming back up the fifteen or so feet, he pulled himself onto the top of the lake with no Special jonin in sight. He let out a heavy sigh as the water poured out of his joints. Yasu 's attention was spreading through the area as his senses tried to perceive the subtleties of the tokubetsu jonin's presence. It was then he that he saw one of the jonin peak around a building before snapping his head back.

Yasu ran towards the exposed ninja a kunai in both hands. The way Yasu saw it, the jonin was wearing armor so he could tank damage in those areas without getting hurt, while the armor on clones would be a cheap mockery offering no real protection. As Yasu got closer he heard lightning crackle beneath him, and upon looking down saw that there was lightning crackling over his heart which probably wasn't good. Ignoring it for now as he rounded the building, he threw a kunai at the sp. jonin's forehead protector, and it passed through harmlessly as the clone dissipated in a cloud of electricity. Notably the lightning in his chest also stopped crackling.

Yasu started sprinting through the arena looking for another of the clones when another of the sp. jonin crossed his path in front of him almost luring him to a spot, then another crossed behind him making him chose one, and as the second ran past he noticed the lightning in his chest again. Intrigued he followed the first of the two and as he followed him onto the new path he threw another kunai this time into the sp. jonin's flak jacket where it bounced off ineffectively. It was enough to alert the jonin that his identity had been revealed, and he disappeared leaving behind a rock the size of his chest.

Yasu kept running until he heard the electricity again as just off of the path he saw another of the sp. jonin signing to someone unseen, Yasu, not wasting a moment while the clone was distracted threw three kunai at what he only hoped was a clone. Two were aimed at its chest and one at it forehead protector, the clone's head shifted its head only managing to dodge the one thrown at its face and thus getting dispelled, but as it did so Yasu noticed that lightning trailed ever so slightly in the wake of it as it dodged. He noticed movement in the direction that the clone had been signing towards, and through five kunai at this one hoping it was the actual sp. jonin from earlier. The clone as it attempted to run from behind one building to another had revealed itself for just a brief amount of time and was pelted with the five kunai dissipating.

Yasu wandered around the arena for about five more minutes before he arrived back to the pond where he had begun. The last two sp. jonin were waiting for him here, and though he didn't know why he was he didn't want to find out. Yasubei went through a few hand signs before spraying water from pursed lips in a thin beam just between the two sp. jonin causing them to jump apart, the clone left behind a short trail of electricity behind it. Yasu focused on it following it as closely as he could with the beam throwing kunai at it until one finally hit ending the trial. Yasu fell on his tail and inhaled deeply before sighing with relief. The sp. jonin walked up behind him tapping him on the shoulder to let Yasu know he was offering the ronin a hand.

"Not too bad."
