Trial 1:

Upon discovering her first Trial, Kahou struck out again. The first option seemed to be the easiest and the second one included going to the forrest - a place she would have loved to visit, even for an exam, but she got the one in the city with rooftops of crowd staring. Even now on this event she could still feel that most men stared at her even if they had their own children attending the exams. Some of the genins from out of town tried to talk to her but she was in no mood and cut them off.

All she was told that she had to run down this almost straight track for... actually the time they gave her was too much even for a genin. Kahou got suspicious almost immediately of this evident low standard and she was trying to figure out what to expect. Moreover there was a huge crowd yelling and cheering and booing... not something you would see for a high-time straight-forward "competition".

"Your time starts when you hear the sound. Good luck!" the proctor explained to her and patted her on the back as he was getting back to his position. "Of course, you'd touch me... men here are no better!" Kahou was already getting annoyed by the local men.

A gunshot followed by the loud cheers of the crowd was all Kahou had to hear in order to start running. She did not know what to expect but she was sure there would be things trying to slow here down... but what exactly? Her senses were focused on her immediate surroundings, turning "down" the background noise. Just as she had thrown herself down the track, thinking she was prepared, Kahou heard a sharp whistling noise. Turning her face towards it she saw an arrow flying right towards her face. She leaned forward, still affected by her motion, barely escaping the arrow's pointy head as it flew above her head.

"Hansha Bunshin no Jutsu" she said plucking a piece of her hair, materializing a clone in front of her. An amazed woah came from the crowd but the Karisuma was too focused to even acknowledge it. "You are going to be my shield then!" she thought as they both continued down the road, exploring the traps that were laid down for them. This time Kahou tried to spend more of her attention on the sides to try and perceive any traps... maybe they were triggered with fuinjutsu?

The clone on the other hand had the responsibility of running forward and that was it. Well, he(she) was not really conscious so he could not judge if there was a trap or not, but Kahou could if he was to fall in one. Despite her attempts to understand how the traps were set, Kahou could not find any clues, at least not before her mirror image turned to crisp right in front of her. She made a step backwards as her clone was being electrocuted to its death (dissipitation). A concered gulp was her instinctive reactio for she realized it could have been her. Thankfully she did see the wire running low above the height of the ankle and she stepped over it.

She continued more cautiously down the path still trying to keep up a good pace in order to finish in time as her eyes got a hold of the next challenge that appeared in front of her. A climbing wall. She tried to guess what traps could they have put on the wall but she had no clue and as she drew closer she reached the conclusion that she would have to adapt on the go. With a jump from the ground and a few maneuvers she almost got to the middle of the wall, grabbing and stepping on the holds. A loud clack of metal doors echoed from both sides and Kahou heard the same piercing sound. In an attempt to protect her face, she released her grip and felt how her upper body was rapidly reaching the lower body's height.

"Shūgyō'shikachō" she used the most famous academy technique and her feet glued to the climbing wall. Kahou hanged backwards and felt a weak backpain caused by the snap of her motion as the arrows clashed above her and fell to her sides. "That was close... ouch... I am gonna have to heal this later!" she thought to herself as she evened her body and started running towards the top. Evading the arrows like this was much, much easier.

Upon reaching the top of the wall she could finally see the finishing line in front of her but despite it, Kahou did not feel reliefed. She knew that all challenges up until now, would be a kid's play compared to the few left between her and the end. Her back still pulsing from the earlier acrobatics, she jumped off the wall on the ground below only to find out that this was her biggest mistake so far. Her legs literally sank in the sand below her feet and she felt slow but continous draft that was pulling her in.

"K'saaa!Chakura Kyōka Kyōdo!" Kahou got mad and hit the sand that had swallowed the lowest part of her legs. Upon the massive hit the sand flew in all directions, eventually freeing her feet as she jumped out of the quicksand trap right on top of a balancing beam. Using the experience from earlier she easily predicted the side arrows and darts and with a few graceful acrobatics she managed to dodge and evade most of them as the crowd was cheeering for her loudly. The show was amazing, such a little girl had put such a big show and the crowd loved to see the genin using techniques. The proctors were not too happy about and the Kirigakure's higher ranking shinobi as well for their pupil was putting all her cards on the table.

Some of the arrows had managed to scratch Kahou and she was reaching the final line with flesh wounds all over her arms and legs. She realized that her biggest strength was not dexterity but... well, strength! Kahou passed through the finish line, breathing fast, waiting for her time to be announced. A sigh of relief as she fell on her knees, hearing the proctor's words, causing another outburst of yelling and cheering across the crowd.
