Objective: Gain intelligence regarding organized crime.

Mission description: We've gotten some tips off of the street that there's a meeting of the organized crime leaders happening. We want to be able to ambush them in the act, so don't do anything to scare them off or shake them up.

Mission details: This is a stealth-based mission. You are to gain as much information as you can while going completely undetected as an operative of the Sunagakure Ninja. Either you should keep from being detected at all, or you should have a disguise and script ready. Hired thugs with C-1 or C-2 in all stats will be guarding the area, so it is imperative that you keep your cover or stealth up.

Ryu had found out some rumors as of late that discouraged him. The gang activity in the area had been picking up and recently a gang near him was wiped out over night. Every member of the entire gang wiped out at once and some said jutsu had been used. A few people had suggested it was him but he had nothing to do with it. He wasn't one for murder if others could fight back. This had been someone else separate from him. Someone else had entered the playing field and they were just as capable as he was by the looks of it. His eyes stared at the wall as he sat on his bed considering what all this meant. Who were they getting support from if they had jutsu? The village maybe? Was this some clever ruse to take down some gangs without showing their hand? Ryu doubted that considerably though. The location he had checked out personally and it had been a blood bath. Normally the village took its criminals into custody if they could. They weren't for all their faults into mass execution. There was some who were though of similar capabilities. The western slums and the four kings. He had only met one of them and their power had been intense. If they were training thugs in jutsu or worse, involving their own soldiers in this eastern war it wasn't direct as to avoid an attack from one of the other three. Still it meant one of them was moving in secret and likely with the intent of using the eastern slums to win their war.

Ryu would sigh as he felt his foot begin to tap. He was one man and the way they used jutsu meant he couldn't ask Kei to get involved. He was going to have to figure this out on his own. It was a dangerous game he intended to play. Infiltrating a group each as strong as him. He would need to be more careful this time but that meant he was going to forgo the show of power. When this did erupt into a fight it was going to cause him some pain. Still his blue and purple eye locked onto the mirror as he stared at his reflection. He couldn't lose now. The next territory was either his or someone that stood no chance. His only hope for the time being was to attack first. It was a simple matter of figuring out where but that was simply because at the moment no one was daring to go near the gang claiming the territory. The Dune riders were a rough bunch of little threat up until now. Likely they were all dead and someone was just using their name. The biggest issue wasn't studying them and taking them down though. The biggest issue was which of the four kings he was going to be crossing. There was little to no chance whichever one it was would take his interference lightly. He would likely be on their radar after this.

With a sigh Ryu would grit his teeth and stand up. He was scared and he had no reason to doubt his heart. He was a fighter and he always had been. If there was a fight in his backyard he had to take it on. With a grin he looked into the mirror and rolled his shoulders. These fuck buckets had no idea what was coming their way. Ryu had been in tougher situations before. Prison bosses forcing their muscle around and trying to control him. It hadn't gotten very far for them or gone well at all. Neither would it for this bunch. He had something in his favor anyway. They didn't expect anyone to be daring enough to get close to them. Likely their security was low enough that they didn't even have effective communication. With a deep breath Ryu stopped himself from feeling that fear and dedicated himself to what he knew he had to do. He had to go to the warehouse they were based in and find out what they were planning. Likely he was going to need to use that information to take the lot of them down. Luckily anyone that capable was someone with a record. If he could just knock the lot out he could leave them tied up where the village nin could find them. He just needed not to get caught by them. After all if they managed to catch him he was going to be a dead man. Likely hung up in the center of the slums by his insides.

Regardless Ryu would turn to the footlocker at his bed and collect himself some clothing. Slipping into a pair of black pants as he glanced outside. He had been waiting for nightfall and it was starting to get dark. Slipping on the black pants he put on a black turtle neck and finished by tying his hair up under a bandana. Wrapping a second dark bandana around his face to conceal his identity. Letting both his eyes free for this fight. His purple and blue eyes almost shining as he collected his kunai and his tanto. slipping both into sheathes on his pants on the outside of each thigh. Clinging tightly to him so as not to move or make noise when he did. With that done he was almost entirely set for the night. Hopefully he didn't have to use any bladed weapons. However this lot wasn't to be underestimated. He was going to be alone out there and if it came down to a life or death moment he would choose their throats over his own. With another deep breath to steady himself Ryu would turn and head out his window onto the fire escape where he would slip on his padded shoes. With that done he would drop to the ground and blend into the shadows as he had done the night he stole the jutsu libraries. It was going to be a long a troubling night but he could do this even on his own.

Ryu would move in silence through the slums as he made his way gradually towards the warehouse in question. He knew where they were gathering simply due to their pride. Of course his own gang wasn't to get involved in this. They were mostly for numbers and show. Kei wasn't strong enough as of yet and Ryuto he didn't trust yet. As for Atsuhiro he knew the man was strong and into cage fights but this wasn't his issue nor did they know each other well enough to trust him with it. With all his allies consumed up that he could locate on short notice he knew he was on his own. Blue and purple eyes scanned the area around him. Taking to the roofs to avoid a couple of drunks having a small brawl. There was a tension in the air as he left his territory and less and less people were about as he approached the enemy warehouse. It was like the village could sense what was coming. Not that it was hard to with the lot moving about in obvious shows of power. The closer he got though the more he could see of the place in question. A tall grey building with a guard at either door and one on the roof. He could see them clearly enough as the two below were in the light and the one above stood out against the sky as a shadow. All were wearing hoodies and pants. Confident in themselves for the moment.

With some speed Ryu broke left of the group and shifted to the side of the building. In silence he placed his feet on the wall. Activating supernatural walking practice and walking slow. Careful to distribute his weight so he didn't pop the metal wall with every step. It only took him a matter of moments to reach the top of the building where he peaked over. The guard up top had his back to him and was busy lighting a smoke. There was no hint of a radio on him. Just as Ryu had predicted they were not expecting anyone to bug them that night. Their guard was too lax as the man didn't even care to look around. In silence Ryu shifted his weight over the edge of the roof and kept low as he shifted quickly but carefully across the top. Not once did the guard turn until Ryu was upon him. With a swift movement Ryu came up and with his right foot took out the man's right knee dropping him to one knee and followed it by clocking him open handed in the throat to cut off a cry of surprise. The man gagged a moment before Ryu gripped his hair and brought a hard knee to his face. With the sentry taken out he lowered him slowly by his hair to lay on the roof before moving to the open sun roof. Leaning just over the edge as he listened to the meeting inside.

Objective: Perform an arrest.
Location: Kaze no Kuni.
Reward: 250 or 310 Ryo.

Mission description: Thanks to our ninja, we've gathered some info. Your briefing will be given to you shortly, but we've discovered several crucial areas in which the local gangs are about to execute their next moves. Your job is to incapacitate, but not kill, all those involved and take them into custody.

Mission details: You can complete this mission in the same thread as "War On Gangs: Recon" or "Gate Duty". You gain additional Ryo if you neutralize their plan before it gets past the planning stage.

The gang members routinely have at least C-3 stats, and at least 5 will be present. Two of them have B-1 in all stats. They are able to use Ninja Arts from the Libraries, and one or two of them will be melee (Tai/Buki) specialists.

Ryu would gradually shift himself over the edge of the window and glance within. The warehouse was fairly dark within but a pair of stage lamps lit up a single table within. For a moment it appeared to be empty. He gazed at it with curiosity as for a moment nothing seemed to move. However that quickly passed as one by one five shadows could be picked out around the warehouse. A couple were sitting on some boxes off to the side while another was lounging on his back on a hammock. At first he only spotted those two but two others approached as well. These two walked with confidence into the light and the three others he had spotted stopped what they were doing and gradually made their way to the light as well. Ryu recognized the three from some time ago before he started his rampage on the eastern gangs. They had been the three strongest of the Dune riders but they hadn't been jutsu users before. Nor were they really any stronger than your average genin. Something during their time away from the eastern slums during their disappearance changed them. They were visibly stronger now and more matured. Two of them were men that were taijutsu specialists. Both wearing matching outfits and working in tandem. Black jeans with a black tank top and boots. Each of them bald but they had a set of new scars on their bodies he could see from their exposed skin. So they had been trained?

The last of the three was a girl that was a specialist with a Chinese sword. Even now the blade sat on her hip. She had been the one on the hammock. Her garb was a simple pair of dark blue pants with a red kimono coat open to show chest wraps under a fishnet vest. She looked rather bored there with her blue hair cut short and hanging around her face. However the two that dragged his attention more was the individuals he didn't recognize. A man and a woman in Kimono that moved forward. His was a white kimono with wraps around it and a large golden tie around his waist. of average build with slicked back dark hair. She was wearing a black kimono with flowers along the hem and a red bow on her waist and another one tying her white hair back. Something about the two of them seemed to demand respect. When they spoke it was low and he could only make out bits of it. It appeared they were going to attack a rival gang. Not Ryu's thankfully. Though his was mentioned. They suggested the three were not ready to take him on just yet. After all none of them could be readily sacrificed after so much work was put into them. One suggested one of the two help for once. The girl with the sword. A shift of the woman in the black kimonos hand sent wind cutting across and lightly cut the girls cheek for her insolence. With that the three bowed and left. Leaving the two leaders alone in the warehouse. .

Ryu would wait until the other three left. He couldn't tell if they were really not ready to fight on his level or not but he would give them some distance before attacking these two. Likely it was to attract some attention. After all she had demonstrated a clear control of fuuton ninjutsu. He considered that his raiton would be useless against her. With that said he watched as the three left and the sentries left with them. A slow breath brought him to his controlled state. These two were impressive. He could tell from their level of confidence and the speed and accuracy of that jutsu. He knew some of the capabilities of the woman so his first target would be the man. His eyes narrowed as he drew his knife. He didn't like the idea of taking a life but these two were a threat to the eastern slums. They were too strong not to take seriously. So he waited and timed it. The man and the woman seemed to be talking though she was having none of it. He seemed overconfident and she scoffed and turned her back on him to turn and begin walking away. His moment had come. Quickly he dropped down and through the opening with blade in hand. A single flap of his clothes brought the mans attention up to him. Fire entered the mans hand but it was too late. They had been too confident in the lack of counter attack. They let their defenses down.

His knife plunged into the mans neck as blood sprayed out and the man quickly dropped his katon jutsu. Holding his bleeding neck as he gurgled and dropped to one knee. Ryu shifted and dove behind some containers the two had been sitting on just in time to avoid a scream attack from the woman. Her voice slicing through the containers and knocking them and parts of them asunder. The wreckage kicking up dust and covering the side of the warehouse in debris. Quickly she moved passed her dying partner into the maze of wreckage. At every turn out of the corner of her eye she saw movement and would flick her hands sending off waves of slicing wind. Gradually getting more and more tired until she was panting. Gritting her teeth she screamed out and sent slices out in every direction. Leaving her immediate area covered in hundreds of cuts. However as she stumbled a noise happened behind her. She turned to react and launch another attack only for a rock spike to suddenly shoot out and with ferocity launch from the ground directly into her chest. Taking up the majority of it with impalement. She coughed up blood and stared as Ryu lowered his mask. A small trickle of blood from one of her attacks hitting him running down his cheek under his right eye. She reached out towards him until her lack of heart beat caught up and she faded. With the two of them dead Ryu just had three minions left to deal with. Kicking over a barrel marked flammable he let it soak a bit as he walked out the front door. Tossing a lighter over his shoulder as he set the warehouse and the two dead ablaze. No need for there to be confirmed kills of one of the kings minions.

As for the other three. Ryu had full intentions of taking them down as well. Though these ones he wouldn't be using lethal means with. Some arrests needed to be made for the murders. Likely the two bodies in the warehouse could be recovered from it and blamed on them as well. If he took them down then they would take the fall for all of it and suspicion would be removed from him entirely. Though that was just on the village end of things. He was going to use the gang they were attacking as a distraction. So by the end of the night he would of expanded his territory into two other gangs. So quickly he ran in the direction of the group. Sheathing his blade and remembering to soak it in bleach later. Along with burning his clothes. It didn't take him long to get to the gangs compound in an abandoned motel but they were well under siege by then. For three people they were making quick work of the place. Bodies littered the ground outside. Still he moved forward into the building. His first encounter was the twins. They were mid attack on a barricaded group so he quietly took out the first twin by grabbing him by the back of the shirt, Caught off guard the man was tugged down before a blow rained down on his face followed by another. Both blows hitting the nose and breaking it. The other turned around at the noise to rush Ryu. A shift in Ryu's movement in drunken boxing threw him off though. His strike shifted and missed Ryus chin only to be shoulder bumped into the wall. An elbow caught Ryu in the chin but he grit his teeth and kicked the man in the back of the knee. Knocking his head against the wall to knock him out too. A scream caught his attention as blood splattered the wall behind the barricade. The woman was on the other side killing the lot of them. With a sigh Ryu ripped a piece of pipe from the exposed wall. As she cleared the barrier the pipe flew through the air and clocked her in the temple. She was dazed but saw her two comrades down and a shadow approaching her. Her sword flicked up just in time to catch Ryu across the chest with a shallow cut before he clocked her in the throat. Gasping for air she dropped too. With that done he quietly tied them up there. Alive and together to be arrested. Being sure to avoid being seen on his way out.
