Early in the morning, it was yet another trip to the mission board. The energy in the air was flowing freely, and the mood was right for a trip into the wilderness. Well, that was what this mission called for. It was yet another band of smugglers acting out for their own gain instead of bringing in goods for the village. To think that they would be so brave and go out of their way to import cargo right outside Kirigakure. Had they not the knowledge of the village's expert shinobi? It certainly was a wonder. But, soon enough, it was all going to be taken care of. The village was quick to find out about these smugglers operating within the islands. It was in a prompt manner that the village assigned two fine ninja to disrupt their activity.

Teru Uchiha was standing outside of the building, making sure she had the instructions memorized in her head. It was easy enough to do just that. After all, she was no stranger to the business of the smugglers. A simple mistake could be the cause of terrible consequences, however, and it would not matter if she was good at what she did at all. That was why she made sure she had the ins and the outs correctly organized in her head. Reflection along the way would do her much good. But... she was not yet ready to depart to the location at which the smugglers gathered. Well, she was, but there was someone that she was waiting on. That was right. The village made it so that she would not go on this mission alone in spite of her being capable enough for it. She believed in the power in her own two hands. Why would they not let her carry this mission out by herself? Teru wanted to fume, as she saw herself well-rounded enough to finish the task in mere hours. However, she acknowledged that there would be no good coming from complaints to the village officials.

She sat in the outdoors and huffed. This stranger that was supposed to be her partner was not there yet. Teru was prepared to depart, and she had wanted to leave as soon as possible. The moment sunlight poured over the horizon would have been the perfect time. They could travel to and from the location with there still being daylight left. Who knew? Perhaps he was already there, waiting for her to get there, too. Teru lifted her head and leaned her back against the hard wood of the bench. No, if that were to be the case, then she would have been informed about it the moment she was given the mission. He, or she, would be there soon. She hoped so, and tried to keep her patience high as she waited for this new partner. Well, there was something good about getting a partner. Teru would be given a good opportunity to form a sort of bond. Acquaintance or friend. That was what it was going to become. She looked forward to it.

Lost he was not on the path to meeting this newly assigned partner which he thought was interesting due to the fact the last one he did countless missions with suddenly left. Probably on important matters and Yasou was also away on matters personal or business didn’t matter now. He had to leave the comfort of mother nature to return back to the village surrounded by buildings and villagers that he sworn to protect. Every time he walked in the village he felt strangled unable to retain more air he struggled as everyone else seemed to have a nice perky grin. Burittsu on the other smiled a little but no doubt it was fake he just didn’t have time for everyone to wonder why a shinobi was walking around with a straight stern face. He wore his new outfit a blue sleeveless jacket with a fur hoodie, black parachute pants, and the recommended shinobi footwear. In all honesty he took his time the smugglers were no threats that he hasn’t dealt with they proved to weaker once they see blood and cowards when their friends are dead.

The sun rises from the horizon as Burittsu could feel the warm heat behind his neck forcing him to look back at the sun revealing itself indeed it was beautiful as it revealed the forest and the lake. A view so clear turned that fake smile into a real smile as he was able to see out to one of the islands indeed it looked farther than last time but the view made up for it. When he thought about it staying in a village with a sight like this wasn’t bad indeed but the people that he met here could never be replaced. Starting with Genbu it had been a while since his passing but he was his first friend the thought of it would never leave his mind this was a view Genbu would most likely loved to see before going off to train or mission. Even Burittsu wonders if he lived would they be the best of friends and deep rivals would they go out on every mission together because they know each other by heart.

That type of friendship was deep and it felt like no one else could fully replace the kindness he received from such shinobi giving a sigh it was probably best to leave his emotions buried deep. Turning around back on the path he was heading he closed his eyes taking a step he once more began his journey to his destination it seemed in his luck he's been through many partners for missions. Especially with the Uchiha himself a splendid shinobi but one who went missing he’d be lucky to be partnered up with another splendid and talented shinobi. Wherever the Uchiha was he only hoped when he returned to the village Burittsu would be off on his own trip his life was already changing day by day. Ever since he crossed the line he swore he would never cross there was no looking back he was ready for action as he constantly had mental battles with himself well his former self anyway the one willing to burden the pain.

Seal it up inside and never let it out that was someone he could never go back too he didn’t feel like being alone or isolated the results would be another person he knows end up dying. Just like Genbu. Gazing up at the sky he was still able to see the stars for a little bit before the light of the sun completely hid them from view until moon would make its presence once more. They twinkled with life and gleam bright and full of hope well he could only hope and in that second they were gone banished by the light of the sun to remain in darkness until the time comes to reveal themselves once more. Sighing he looked back on the path once more now since nothing was there to distract him it seemed for him to appear normal for the first time. Whoever his partner was should indeed be a splendid shinobi and make good choices during missions hoping those choices don’t end up getting either of them hurt. He grew closer and closer near the building only to see a figure standing outside leaning upon the tree that inhabited the area with the sun shining on his back he would appear as a walking shadow probably. Meeting new people was still a new gift to him that he tried to use to his liking he almost gave out a laugh being so nervous as he always was when it came to meeting people.

Getting closer it was a young shinobi female nothing looked special about her Burittsu enjoyed that a shinobi who didn’t look special at all but most likely had all the skill on the field to show. Indeed she looked young but Burittsu was her new partner and as partners now he would watch her back till she died a natural death well he could only hope this time he would actually do his job correctly. Studying her she seemed the type to hold her own and the type to just express herself naturally without a worry well it was only the cover to the book he would find out more about her later. He knew he was late but indeed he was truly lost not on the path to getting to the building but on the path of life thinking about everything he has been through and all the people he met on his journey to growing stronger and jumping amongst the ranks. Putting his hand in the air it seemed best to start off being himself well the new self he hoped that could possibly lead the weak one day and stand up to those who abuse their power.

“Sorry i’m late I got lost.. On the path of life you see I simply had a lot to think on my mind. But you must be my partner pleasure to meet you i'm Burittsu. One rule before I ask you for your name when we’re out there do what you need to do you’re my partner I trust you just don’t go off and die on the first mission. Well you can tell me about yourself on the way back. C’mon let’s go.”

Turning his back to the young shinobi his smile turned into that of a large grin as he looked out into the sky hoping Genbu was still watching a part of him wanted to be different and not carry the resolve and honor of his former friend. The other part of him was happy that he met such a shinobi in his life that meeting at the lake was the day he was introduced to the light. Scratching the back of his head he realized he probably looked weird to his new partner it was time for change that is why he felt the need to make things work right now between the two. Looking out towards the horizon where the sun continued to climb the sky the forest and lake was indeed a beautiful view. Waving his hand forward to signal his partner it was time to head out the grin on his face only remained as he looked out to the future that was in front of him.

“You coming?”

As Teru sat by herself, she noted that the sun was finally peeking over the fine line between sky and land. The warmth of the sunlight felt nice on her skin. It was like a blanket being wrapped around her body. There was nothing else to accompany the morning sun. Not for a while. But, something did show on the path ahead, just moments later. The kunoichi spotted the tall figure almost immediately. It was a man who had a casual walk. There was no name she could apply to this person, for he was someone that she had not yet met. Nobody else was on the road with him, so he had to have been the one she was waiting for. It had to be, as there was no one else after him. Well, her patience paid off. Now the mission could be commenced.

Teru felt his eyes on her, studying the identity that she beared. In turn, she too looked him over. This individual had the looks of a tough man. It was good that he looked the part, too. When she had been told that she was going to have a partner for the mission, she was notified that this partner would be of a much higher rank. Special Jounin? Jounin? It had to have been one of those two. Any higher, and she would question the level of seriousness the village had. She did not remember, but it also did not matter. Her partner for the mission was here now. Teru remained quiet for a moment, but stood up as to not be rude. His hand raised, either in greeting or in defense of himself.

He apologized for his tardiness, and then he explained the reason for why he was so late in the first place. The explanation he gave her was not something she expected. Caught up on the path of life and thinking about whatever it was on his mind. Teru raised a curious brow and stifled a giggle. Never before had she heard an excuse quite like that. The new face cut it short and went on to assume Teru as his partner. Burittsu was his name, but no surname was provided. Not that it mattered, anyway. Eventually, continuous meetings, if there were any, would grant her the knowledge of who Burittsu really was. He continued on to make a remark about a certain rule- surprising. No, it was interesting that he jumped into the topic. So, the Uchiha listened to his only rule with open ears, still keeping her mouth closed. Burittsu required that she, while handling the business as she needed to, not act out in a way that endangered herself. Now she wanted to laugh, but only managed a weak one that hardly sounded.

Well, if only she had the chance to bless him with all that she had on her mind. He verbally urged her on and turned his back on her. If she was not the friendly type, she would have struck him down right then and there before moving on with the mission. “Right, then,” Teru shook her head with a shrug, and she followed after Burittsu. He grinned and motioned for her to keep up with him, which she did in accordance. So, for someone of a higher authority, he appeared to be the relaxed type. Not bothered by much of what was handed to him. This interested Teru. Perhaps he was going to be a most appreciated partner after all.

Teru's pace was hurried until she was nearly by Burittsu's side. Not close enough to where only a sheet of paper could slip through the gap between their arms. A good couple of feet were in between them as they walked along. It would be boring to have nothing to say along the way to the destination point. He was going to have her wait until they finished their job before giving an introduction. Well, Teru thought otherwise, and determined that there would be plenty of time now to give a small briefing on who she was. "Burittsu, yeah?" she started, making sure she got his name right. "Before we get there, I'd like you to, at least, have my name. It's Teru. Teru Uchiha. It's a pleasure to be working with you."

That was all she had to say, really. For now, she was keeping it short out of respect for his wishes. Silence again, and it was back to focusing on the road ahead. The sun was high in the sky now as the morning progressed. No longer were there any stars to gaze up at, nor was there the shape of the moon to observe. Well, they would return later on when it turned to night-time. It was mostly peaceful. Quiet, actually. But the peace was not going to last for very much longer. Up ahead, where a wall of fog merged with the incoming woods, their target awaited. As she walked along, Teru thought back to the very first time she ever dealt with smugglers. It was a challenge for her, at the time, because she was a lower ranking ninja. The most recent time, it was much easier. But, she acknowledge the fact that her skills would still need to be honed in order for her to continue on with a winning streak.

Her eyes briefly wandered over to Burittsu. The guy must have had some impressive skill. If he was as strong as she thought he was, it was going to be an honor to work with him. Ah, she would even consider asking for him to take her under his wing. That would only be if she wasn't already being watched over by someone. Was he comparable to her sensei? She could only wonder. Simply asking about his level of skill, however, would be much too inappropriate. It would certainly be interesting to find out...

An imaginary bell rang in her head. "We're getting close," Teru said in a low voice. She slowed her pace and hoped Bur would too, but only out of caution. They were not at the point where the vessel would be, yet. But, she could feel something in the air. A sensation that told her that the smugglers were very close. Teru reached into her tools and pulled out a kunai, and made sure that she was ready to take on the enemy as soon as their scent was stronger.

It did peak his interest in his partner when she introduced herself to him as an Uchiha it was interesting if his luck was that good or it was literally sheer luck it never mattered to the male anyway. He seemed willing to letting her take the lead through this whole mission to see if she’s ready to lead others by herself one day. He felt at ease this very day going into danger but it was something he was used to as a shinobi it was normal to risk their lives in order to protect the village. The answer to that he still didn’t find out for himself but he was hoping one day someone would tell him what was the meaning of the village. From his point of view he saw it as a place to home shinobi and villagers not a place to conduct battle plans for the next assault. To him it was only another nation wrapped up in wondering when or where the enemy will attack when it came to the shinobi who actually fought for the village.

They were simply put on a stone wall as their family members cried and cried leaving behind flowers that withered away a day later. Life was indeed the greatest war but no one cared they only cared about which village had the most deadly shinobi. Those who were willing to kill their comrade’s if need be or even those who would sacrifice their own lives were either the fools who left nothing but pain for their love ones. His thoughts only carried him to another sark place in his life the one where he didn’t have the trust of others always wondering if they were indeed plotting against him. Looking a smig bit over it was the little things that were needed to be taken care of starting off with his new partner it almost felt natural.

Time took over as he continued to pay attention to his surroundings what did catch his attention was the brief stop of his partner as it seemed something caught her attention. Gazing about in a casual view it seemed empty but she was the Uchiha after all so she must have saw something that wasn’t able to be seen with his eyes. Rubbing the back of his neck as he turned around to her with a casual grin he only pointed above them revealing to her the branches of the trees. Making it easier to spot the enemies and give them both enough cover to remain hidden in the shadows bending his knees he quickly jumped into the air swallowed by the leafs of the tree. As he sat on a branch in the shade waiting for whatever it was that she sensed in hopes he wished she did the same and followed the first rule never to endanger her own life for the mission.

He held that dear to his heart a human counted more than a complete mission he rather bring her back alive instead of dead in his arms. Sitting in the branch he looked around the area which seemed empty enough but he was not going to doubt whatever she was sensing the smugglers probably sent their smartest bunch. The others by now would usually grow tired and sit around relaxing as some guarded and others rested it didn’t matter at the end of it they all were murdered and Burittsu still claimed the money. What she sensed made her unique was she a sensory type of shinobi most likely able to sense danger before it even grew near Burittsu on the other hand didn’t have a problem running into the enemy.

Scratching behind his head it seems his eyes weren’t as unique as those of his partner like always it seemed even he was getting shown up by the younger generation. Eventually it would be time for him to grow serious and stop playing around but this was all a game to him he found easy money doing this job but he enjoyed the company more. If she did decide to join him it would be easier to use her eyes to scout out the area if not the two could travel both on ground and air. Giving the enemies a good scare when they come in contact but as of now nothing in the area appeared so he decided to leap from branch to branch silently hiding in the darkness. His blue eyes tracing across the area it seemed quiet indeed it wasn’t trusted but he didn’t have a choice but to continue going the faster this was over with the faster the money would roll in for the both of them.

Closing his eyes he enjoyed the fresh breeze of nature this is what he loved most about the open grounds instead of being a prisoner behind the walls of the village. The open air felt more like him instead the smell of cooked meat in the mornings or the laughter of children heading the academy. Isolation seemed better for him he took it all in bit by bit embracing everything it had to offer and maybe one day he would be able to see more of the world instead of the lake and horizon. Opening his eyes once more it had seem his luck was paying off extremely well this day seeing a human with a bandana across his eyes it was obvious to tell this was no shinobi of the village. If this was the scout it would probably cause a problem if he didn’t return back to the site. Even if he was easy target to kill he watched him closely and awaited for him to simply venture back leading the two if his partner happen to injure the male. It would be a tragedy that would unfold into the others coming out to search for him and in turn them falling in the same trap. Rubbing the back of his head once more he only waited on her move to see what she would do kill or let him live it was two great choices but all had the same outcome.

“What will you do? Kill or let live for now anyways.. Let’s watch your choice unfold into such greatness on the battlefield shall we..”

When Burittsu found his place in the trees, Teru took it as him understanding the situation. It was a stealthy move, and a very wise one, too. Rather than joining him on the same branch, Teru jumped up to one that was not too far away from the position Burittsu was in. She crouched on the branch with her fingers acting as support for her to stay still. It was his suggestion that brought her to the tree. Perhaps, it was the best move. Her body was mostly hidden by the crowds of leaves and twigs. A most reasonable cover that allowed her a greater vision of what occurred down below. Of course, nothing happened immediately. There was still some distance between them and the target smugglers.

Teru followed behind Burittsu, leaping from branch to branch. The air felt chilly against her skin, and the fog made it seem even cooler. She was not bothered by the low temperature, however. Actually, it was much appreciated, as the heat generated by continuous movement made the warmer weather uncomfortable. But… perhaps wearing so little clothing was still a bad idea. Nonetheless, Teru continued on until a certain point was reached. Crouching on another branch, she gazed down at a figure on the road. It was just as her eyes believed- a person. The man down there was tall, but not very muscular. A scout, maybe. Well, at any given moment, a simple scout such as he would spot Teru and Burittsu in the trees. It was a matter of time. In spite of that, however, it would not be favorable to just kill him. Even injuring him would not turn out well, unless there was a plan that quickly followed after taking him down. Let him live and go on to alert the other smugglers? Another bad idea. No, they had to do something about the scout now. It was much too dangerous to let him be.

An idea eventually found Teru. She snapped her fingers without making the snapping noise. Hold him hostage or kill him, it did not matter. One of them could take down the scout, doing as they wished with him, while the other impersonated him and proceeded toward the other smugglers. Teru reached into her tools and retrieved one of her kunai. The honor of hitting it off was going to be hers, and she would open a window of opportunity for Burittsu to infiltrate the smuggler’s nest. Once there, he could begin with eliminating the enemy, and Teru would join back with him shortly. What could possibly go wrong? Yes, she was going to follow that plan, but she hoped that Burittsu would quickly catch on. At most, she could only throw a key word his way... after taking out the scout.

The smuggler scout wearing a simple bandanna walked along. His gaze shifted all around him. A good look at the face revealed that this individual was young looking. He had to be in the stages of early adulthood, the same as Teru. It was such a shame that someone so young became immersed in the role of a criminal. Teru wondered about it for a moment. Sure, Kirigakure was a rough place to live in. Danger was at every turn, and anyone could turn on you as an enemy. But, the village cared for its people. Everyone who was interested helped one another to get through the hardest of challenges. And yet, people like these smugglers turned away to sabotage whatever they did not like. They only sought out personal gain, cutting down anyone who got in their way. That even meant one another. It sickened her. No wonder there was a note in the mission for the smugglers to be killed. The lowest of men, eradicated and sent off from the planet to be judged by some higher being. They deserved it...

Teru dismissed the thoughts in her head and tightly gripped her weapon. Before she would pounce on the scout, the Uchiha activated her clan's doujutsu- the Sharingan. The scarlet glow of her eyes peeked out from the shadows of her hiding spot. With her eyes locked onto the target, Teru leaped out from the cover of the leaves and twigs, and she planted her right knee in the side of the neck of the scout. The awkward landing had her rolling on the ground, but she quickly got back to her feet and held down the smuggler with one knee pinning him at the upper part of his spine where it would be most difficult to get her off. Now that she was out in the open, he was going to try and call for help. To prevent that from happening, Teru brought the kunai under his jaw. The sharpened metal grazed the soft part of the skin, and it left the shallowest of cuts just behind the chin. "Don't say a word," she said in a low voice, before glancing up to Burittsu's position. As she held the smuggler down, Teru gave a quick nod and a single phrase. "Use the transformation."

It was a jutsu that all ninja should have studied during their time at the Academy. Now was the time for Burittsu to act out against the smugglers. Well, he did not have to follow her word. It was an idea that she had only just come up with. Easy to understand and follow through. Whatever he chose to do, and as long as his actions made it so that the mission would be a success, Teru did not mind what he did at all. For now, she had put her trust in the ninja partnered with her. That was what he did, right? He trusted her to do her part in the mission. Teru waited for him to move on down the way to where the smugglers were. As soon as he left, she would do away with her hostage before he called out for help.

From the corner of his eyes he could see the red glow from the famous clan of Uchiha’s a glow that he hasn’t seen in awhile it did remind him of the other Uchiha. Quietly he sat in the darkness watching and studying this female she was unique and different and that was a fact she was the hunter. Something that could be of value to Burittsu in the near future but for now he only saw it fit to keep his agenda out from the light. Her eyes were bright and shined just like the other but she had potential just like him too who was he to ask her if she ever felt the pain of losing someone close. His grin kept on going as her body passed his in a flurry of quickness as she appeared into the light revealed by the essence of the sunlight she was like a dove who escaped the darkness. Willing to fly towards the light but unlike the usual dove she came with claws like a vulture swooping down and pinning its prey between its sharp claws. It all made sense she was passive with an incredibly aggressive nature whoever was her teacher must have been proud.

Like always he was lost on the path of his life and the future failing to realize that the smuggler was now pinned and the signal was given but when he did look back down his smile faded away. Standing up straight and taking one brave step off the branch leading him to descend down below landing on his feet silent. Only a couple feet behind the captured target as he gave a close look at the male studying his face and clothing his eyes were hidden underneath the bandana but he could make it work. Patting the shoulders of Teru he gave his famous smile that was fake as he slowly removed her body from on top of the smuggler. Looking down at the male closely he was young indeed but even by that age they should have known what it meant to become a smuggler and get caught in any village. Especially the land of the mist the prison got destroyed for a reason they took no captures no matter if it used to be an ally or even family they all were executed.

Either on the spot or in the village it didn’t matter death awaited them and by whatever they believe in should be blessed if it was a quick death. Crouching in front of the young male he pulled him closer by grabbing his leg with a fierce grip as his body slid across the ground until he was yanked up by his shirt. Meeting face to face with Burittsu himself as the sheer cold from his body latched out to the smuggler his blue eyes looked into the window of the soul that was in the smugglers. He didn’t need to ask any sort of question to where the rest were due to the fact from the direction the male wandered from it was simple just retrace the steps. Placing his right hand on his neck as he let go of the male’s clothing he only looked up at Teru before revealing his white teeth to her once more a grin that meant the obvious was coming.

Gazing back into the bandana that concealed his eyes his grin grew as the pressure on the neck of the smuggler increased slowly but steadily as the cracking of the neck was heard. It was amusing to watch him struggle grabbing onto his arm as the cracking continued he dropped motionless now paralyzed in the hand of the Yuki. In a grunt Burittsu finished off the male fully squeezing the neck as the body gave out a few pumps of relapse than coming to a stop. Releasing the neck of the smuggler he stood up straight on his feet forming one hand sign as his own body itself began to go through the changes transforming his features into that to resemble that of the corpse in front of him. With the bandana over his eyes he was limited to his view but it all would change in a matter of seconds the male was young but he could make due with such an appearance. Glancing at Teru with a wicked smile he picked her up and placed her over his shoulders and began heading from the direction the smuggler came from cutting through the forest as if it was shortcut.

“Play dead.. Let your arms dangle.. Do not move until I set you down.. Than you can kill as many as you want. Doesn’t matter to me but for now I knocked you out so if they get close do what must be done good job by the way taking him down sorry you had to see that..”

Deep down he didn’t have an ounce of sorrow he was basically showing her how to properly kill a smuggler giving them a chance to live showed weakness whatever they harbor into the lands could affect the new generation coming. Keeping that to himself he only cared to much like always plus it was her first time so he took that to account next time on the other hand he would expect her to slice the throat open. The walk itself was tedious walk which took hours but that didn’t stop Burittsu the concern he had if they actually worried for their partner probably sent out a little group to search for him. But it never mattered to him blood was still going to bed this very day as the sun was in the middle of sky beaming its heat down on the Burittsu he even started to break a sweat from carrying the body and warmth of the sun.

Sighing he didn’t complain his method always worked out and walking around for a mere forty more minutes he finally stumbled onto the camp site a total of five smugglers with six horses. They seemed worried but once revealing himself from the forest with the body on his shoulder the attention was all on two taking a deep breath as he breathed harder and harder he played his part right. Almost collapsing showing signs of fatigue proving to them he fought for his life taking another deep breath he fell backwards landing on rear end on the dirt dropping the body on the ground. By now all five were in front of him and the body as he tried to grasp for air in his lungs and even began to wheeze.

“She ambushed me..I don’t know if she’s a scout but whoever she belongs too they’ll know she’s missing we can use her to get more money.. Like a ransom..”

Teru stood up as Burittsu moved her away from the smuggler scout. She had gone too far? Burittsu should have taken the opportunity to go after the smugglers before they moved the cargo. He smiled at her, but nothing but emptiness reflected. It was a face that was so different from the one that she met with hours ago. Strange. Then, Teru wondered if it was because she had gone too easy on the young smuggler. The thought stayed with her as Burittsu lifted the scout by the leg. She swallowed hard and watched as Burittsu roughly handled the young man. The air became cold, she could feel it. It was already cold, but it had dropped much lower now. It could not have.... No, it did. It came from Burittsu himself! Teru hardly reacted to the flash of his grin. She could only stand there in silence as he... her partner, snapped the enemy's neck with his own hands. Such frightening power he had. And she thought she was merciless when it came to killing.

It may have been a little bit of fear that she felt. But, that was only when he gave her a sinister grin. Had he the same intentions? They were allies, were they not? Both Kirigakure ninja, but... The look in his eyes worried her for some reason. He was no Sero Osada. This man, while having a somewhat identical atmosphere around him, was less of the man who instructed her. Teru felt her breathing halt as her feet rose from the ground. Her body arched as Burittsu pulled her over his shoulders. Play dead, he told her. Oh... So, the plan was indeed infiltration. It relieved her that he had not turned on her in the middle of their mission. The way he was going about it was clever. So, Teru obeyed and allowed for her body to become limp, temporarily. Her arms hanged down swaying with each step Burittsu took.

And so, she was carried down the path once taken by the smuggler he had killed. That was the direction the others were in. Perfect. They were going to be able to do away with the lot of them and secure the cargo. Teru's eyes were closed gently, and she waited for the right time to do her part. He stopped, and she could hear his voice turn to one of exhaustion and strain. It did feel like a long time before they stopped. Without warning, Teru's "dead body" fell to the ground with a thud. A rock was inconveniently protruding from the ground and stuck her in the lower part of her abdomen as she rolled onto her front. Refraining from groaning in pain, Teru continued to play dead until the moment was right. Burittsu's voice brought noise to the silence. He spoke to the smugglers and depicted Teru as being a scout who had ambushed him before.

The group of smugglers, putting on angered faces, moved to approach Burittsu and Teru. They were unknowing of the plan and did not draw their swords while moving away from a couple of crates nearby. "You look a little pale, kid," one of them would say, closing in on Burittsu to give him a hand up. They were all close enough now. It was time Teru put her role to good use. Her Sharingan eyes shot open in an instant as time seemed to slow. She quickly used up her kunai knives and threw them away, into the bodies of the five smugglers. Three of them were struck in the neck and head, and the others in less endangering places. Disrupt and kill. That was what Teru was going for. A few of them were dead now, so now it was time to put an end to her act. Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Jutsu! The flames ripped through the air and struck the smugglers head on. All but one fell to the ground motionless. So, taking one of her used kunai, she stabbed the surviving smuggler in the back of the neck while he was burning. He was dead, thankfully. It would have been so sad if she had to watch him burn for too long.

While the rest of the group of men were down, she felt it unlikely that they were down for the count. "There's got to be more of them with the rest of the cargo," Teru said, going to each of the bodies lying on the ground. Some of them were on fire still, and others were not. She gave them all a single slice through the jugular to ensure their deaths. Her eyes then fled to the crates on the ground. It was a portion of what the smugglers were importing. "I'll secure the goods here to make sure nothing happens to them. Burittsu, would you go on ahead and take care of the rest?" Teru peeked over her shoulder to see Burittsu, and she chucked her kunai into the ground by her foot with the flick of her wrist. There were a couple of reasons why she wanted him to do it. She witnessed him kill a an with his bare hands, and he had a certain air around him. His true nature... It had to be confirmed.

Watching his partner do all the easy work as the heat did catch his attention then the smell of burned meat lifted in the air it was amusing and entertaining to watch this go down in front of him. Her backbone popped out and she was showing the male what she could actually do even if earlier he scared her something must have snapped inside of her the killing must have awakened her blood lust. When it was all said and done the heat and burned skin was bound to attract any predators of the forest he had a grin on his face amused as it seemed he found the one. It wouldn’t hurt if he spent more time in the village before going out on his own journeys he wanted to know more about this prodigy of the sharingan itself. Standing up on his feet as he threw down the kunai it had seem she was right about one thing the others getting away so Burittsu decided to stop playing the act.

Revealing his true form only to walk slowly towards the rest of them the sounds of the bushing rustling behind was all that was left. Teru could say it was brutal murder by the sound of the screams but that was the thing no screams were heard as Burittsu made his way getting into the thicker parts of the forest. A chuckle escaped his breath as he focused the chakra into his two palms which in turned formed two sets of ice claws each growing out to about three and half inches. Sharp to the point but cold to the touch leaving frost burn on anything they made contact with he was outnumbered and being hunted each step he took was with careful thinking but his face remained motionless unimpressed. Stopping in his tracks he remained in a little opening surrounded by bushes and above him nothing but branches of the trees.

Continuing to look forward he was not surprised the four that remained out of the group of ten smugglers would run and cower for their worthless lives. With the sun shining down on him through the opening looking up he can make out the shadows leaping from branch to branch in order to get a better position. All his focus above him almost took his attention from that around him down below as one of the smugglers bravely charged at him from his left side. His mistake was coming out crushing upon the leafs and twigs that itself brought the attention to Burittsu as the male came at him. A kunai in both hands made it simple as with a single jab forward aiming for the forehead of the male Burittsu stopped cold in his track allowing the cold air to latch onto the skin of his victim.

Like as if it was game of tag being played and the smuggler knew he couldn’t run anymore they all did with a kick of the smugglers leg back he slipped forward into the claws as they ripped through his flesh destroying the bone and making contact with the brain. Infecting it like a parasite spreading the ice cold nature throughout the brain killing it in a matter of minutes as it would turn blue than purple and finally black. Before he could even remove his hand he was already surrounded by the remaining three each scared but willing to attempt a kill on the shinobi. In a fierce grab of the dead corpse he used the body as a rag doll swinging it around hitting all the smugglers as he released the body letting it fly out into the distance of the forest. Quickly leaping into the air he came down on the first of victims like a wild hungry animal piercing his claws through his neck freezing the neck as Burittsu knew he no matter what he would die before receiving actually treatment.

With the other two on the ground one attempted to get up and run but Burittsu had other plans quickly walking towards the two stabbing his hand through the chest of one freezing his chest and leaving a large hole in the smuggler too. Some would call it overkill but just like the rest he would die a lonely and cold death out in the forest if lucky a bear or another predator would come around and put the end of them to rest killing them and releasing them of their pain. As for the other who ran it was simple sprint as off in the distance it would appear as if it was a cheetah hunting a gazelle no matter how fast the gazelle ran the cheetah got closer. And in one fierce pounce off the ground drove his claws deep inside the back ripping through the tissue, bones, and muscle revealing themselves on the other side. As they quickly were removed the blood shed and blood loss was enough as he left the dead bodies each to freeze over and die a slow painful death. Making his way back to the campsite he was kinda of tired hunting was worth it kept him in shape as his blood soaked hands bathed the path of blood everywhere. Quickly pointing off to the direction of the village it was time for them to go collect their reward and get out of the forest leaving the mess behind for back up to come clean up if they ever got to it.

“Good Job today now let’s get out of here..”
