Rain falls down upon the forest it's been three days since Burittsu had been out and about in the forest waiting for what was reported to the village of the usual smugglers returning he wondered if they ever grew tired. As in losing the number of men each time and having the supplies being sniffed or shipped off somewhere or even burned but it did not concern the male. The more they continued to send the more he could fill his pockets with money and in turn fill his stomach with food the usual shinobi would have been sick by now but lucky for him Burittsu was no usual shinobi. He was sitting in a dense bush for three long days without moving he ate off the earth like usual eating whatever fell from the branches above lucky him no living animals have fell near him yet.

Simply he would have had to eat them raw if needed too but he hadn’t drop to that level since his younger years he was now almost a respected shinobi in the village. Unlike the other shinobi who most likely got a congratulations and celebration for such an incredible feat that's been accomplished his only celebration was remaining alive this long especially from what he been through. It echoed throughout his ear the sound of the raindrops hitting the puddles that were formed around the ground from the rain it annoyed him forcing him to remember how it all started even when the physical scars were gone the mental scars remained.

Reminding him everyday he lived no matter who he met no one who would ever cure the damage that’s been done. Blood was needed to make things right and he would do everything and anything to make his attacker pay even if it meant being the villain for a great cause a cause that would one day be heard by all who constantly get attacked by those who are stronger. Letting out a deep breath in the cold his breath was seen for a mere second as the rain continued to slip past the leafs of the bush hitting his body and rushing down his skin coming to a stop at his chin dripping off and hitting the soil of the earth. Or rushing down his back meeting his pants as it's quickly absorbed into the fabric making it moist and wet it didn’t matter to the male his goal was to focus on the mission but his mind was elsewhere.

Giving a deep sigh he looked up into the sky trying to study it but it was a canvas painted in grey not even the slight sight of sunlight could be seen through it. Closing his eyes he allowed his mind to wander and throw in ideas new and old he would usually see these ideas in his dreams but this time was different he had time to himself remaining motionless his body was present but his mind was in a different world. What he saw was the usual the bodies of civilians, kids, and shinobi all on the ground each with their own story to tell of how they died. But it didn’t matter he was the killer he always was in the distance the fire danced back and forth as he saw this over and over waiting for the burning child to appear from the flames.

Then it appeared the burning child that was suddenly on fire ended up falling into a puddle of water as the steaming sound of the flames touching the water screamed throughout his nightmare. Burittsu saw this child and his face remained motionless in a bat of an eye the body of the child was now in front of him face first in the water it was the same everytime to him a trick of his mind as he turned his back to the burned body. Only to be greeted by the body standing in front of him the boy who was burned appeared to be Burittsu himself when he was a child as half of the boy's body was burned by the fire. The flesh from his face dripped off hitting the ground as he smiled at Burittsu and turned his back on the shinobi himself walking away into darkness. It all seemed difficult to understand until the final piece of the clue was given out by this young image of the shinobi.

“The burden is all on you if you choose to do it alone..Burittsu..”

The words bounced off his brain repeating themselves as the scene went completely black leaving him in darkness he was alone just like how he wanted with no one next to him not even the company of the bodies that laid on the floor. This was the result if he chose to go down a path where no one else would dare follow it was amusing how he actually felt the cold from the darkness how it affected him mentally not physically. He truly was alone and it felt like he would never get out it was reality and his only way out was for him to accept the fate that he chooses for himself. Standing up tall and proud in this dark abyss that he was brought to his path was straight as he never looked back hearing the laughter and cries of his past the walk felt forever as the laughter and screams continued.

This indeed was torment mentally he walked the same path for weeks without stopping nothing but his will to keep him going to see his plan come to full action. Until he couldn’t walk anymore collapsing on dark ground without moving he remained there for what felt like hours until he closed eyes quickly opening them again at the sound of thunder. Feeling the rain falling harder and harder upon his skin seemed to give him some type of hope that he could not just sit there and the let rain bathe him with the tears of the heaven. Pushing his body up with all his might he stood tall but with weak legs causing him to wobble and lose his balance as if he had to much to drink at the bar. In a fierce roar from all he had left was released into the darkness.

“Wake Uuuuppppp!!!”

His body itself remained in the same position where he left it his eyes did open but the setting of the area did change in fact as the rain seemed to stop and the clouds overhead were nowhere to be seen. The journey he went on took him on a trip for hours he thought or maybe an extra day he couldn’t tell his body was too stiff to move as every joint in his body began to crack releasing the pressure and concentration they were in.

Moving his left and right the sound of multiple bones being cracked he felt as if he was in a genjutsu for a day or two the ground was still moist. As for the leafs around him continued to drip with water it was the same day but only at night in mere seconds the smell of air changed around him as the smell of smoke filled the air coming from further up ahead. A grin was finally set upon his face as the bright lit flames danced in the shadows and the smell of cooked meat filled the air he knew the smugglers were finally set as was he.

The burning smell of the meat that was on the fire was enough to attract himself closer and closer to his victims he was the predator hidden in the darkness of the night making sure not to get to close to the light. He silently lurked in every bush he was like the panther concealed in darkness stalking his prey till the correct moment then killing them one by one. Even he knew he could take on a group of lowlifes but it only depended on how many they were the meat was indeed cooking over the fire. But no one was there to watch over it seemed the party was in their tents most likely changing their damp clothes and replacing them with warm dry ones so they don’t get sick. Watching closely he could only see the silhouettes dance move across left and right as the smell of the meat continued to rise into the air he was tempted to play with the smugglers but he was quickly beaten.

As from the shadows themselves a large black bear seemed to have been attracted to the scent of the cooked meat but he was an animal so raw or cooked never mattered. In a quick snatch of his jaw it was gone dangling between the teeth of the beast as it wandered back into the forest Burittsu was hungry himself but at least the bear took it before he could get distracted about filling his stomach first. Now all the time in the world was his for him to relax and wait in the darkness his patience when it came to such things were outstanding. With the bright moon hiding behind the scattered clouds leaving the forest in a darker atmosphere with the only light source being the fire pit it was the brightest source currently sticking out in the forest.

There were only two horses and two tents each tent was about big and wide enough to hold at least three smugglers each by the looks of it they were done getting dressed and well suited and they probably through the meat by now would be fully prepared. But alas just like Burittsu they would be hungry at least where they were going to in a matter of time all the earthly problems would just disappear gone in a blink of an eye food, money and pleasure all out of the way. Waiting patiently for the smugglers to reveal themselves it was only a total of three each walking out into the darkness heading towards the fire most likely eager to feast on the meat.

As they grew closer to the fire a faint wind came through giving a push to the clouds and the area allowing the clouds to venture faster and further clearing the path for the moon to shine down its rays of onto the earth. Bright as day the beams of light cut through the forest scaring away the shade as it lit up the night giving it a dim vibrant color Burittsu watched the three closely this time it seemed they didn’t have enough supplies only bringing one crate. If it was his lucky day that is as the trio grew closer one of them was already on to the act as the meat smell long died out for himself he looked around quickly as to who or what came around and took it right from under their nose.

It wasn’t long till the other three did the same searching throughout the area for the meat or culprit which by now both were long gone. So they did what any other proud smuggler would do they threw out a couple more meat and this time waited around the fire enjoying the smell of cooked meat but they watched closely making sure it doesn’t go missing like the last one. Peeping his head from the darkness Burittsu slowly began to sneak up on the unsuspecting group the smell of the meat flew around the area quickly watering his mouth making it seem irresistible and it was to a certain point. Clapping his hands together a mist began to form slowly around the area that the smugglers decided to set up camp the only beacon that could be seen was the fire. Everything else was smothered in mist hidden from the view of the smugglers and even Burittsu at this moment the mission itself was even more likely to get worse. Taking small steps towards the group he allowed the smell of the meat to guide him as he grew closer the smell grew stronger before coming to a stop almost stepping on one of the smugglers themselves.

Quickly kneeling down wrapping his arm around his neck squeezing the very life out of him and constricting his breathing he simply tug his arm the opposite direction breaking the males neck killing him instantly. By now the other two should have seen this well at least one neither of them budged or even attempted to run as they looked at Burittsu murder their own. They knew death had come and this time he was taking them all on a trip to hell Burittsu only wished they fought back like the others did before their death but the closest one only bowed to the male begging for his life. As he shoved two large clumps of dirt and mud in his mouth in all his time he had never seen such cowards but eventually it would happened since all the brave ones who attempted died trying. The other bandit himself just couldnt keep his eye off the corpse that just a few moments ago was alive ready to feast focusing on the one in front of him.

It was sad and annoying hearing the pleas and swears that he would change his life if he was left alive but Burittsu wasn’t getting paid for mercy that wasn’t in his bingo book. Lifting up his right leg and quickly ending the man's life by stomping viciously behind his neck breaking it and paralyzing him death wasn’t quick but being face first into the earth oxygen was hard to find. Walking on the body as if it was carpet he got closer to the last one that now only had one person to blame and that was himself for not trying to live frozen like an elk in the forest when hearing something unusual.

With the mist starting to fade away it was all clear to the male now he was going die in the enemy's borders no one would care or weep they were smugglers and they all deserved to die. Placing his grip around his neck as if it was chicken in the farm ready to be eaten he squeezed the life out of the being slowly but surely forcing his will through his hand. As he felt the struggling, kicking, and slapping but it didn’t matter he was sent to do his job and he wanted it to be complete closing his eyes he kept on squeezing long after the body stopped moving or even twitching.

The smell of the meat continued to thrive and make its way around the land as Burittsu released his grip looking down at the pound of meat grabbing it. Quickly biting into like the predator he was enjoying the taste and joy of the meat walking into the darkness once more of the forest he headed back home and this time with actual food in his stomach. But a resolution that would most likely be met he was still young but even he knew things couldn't stay peaceful for normal in a cold world such as this one.
