Dead
It was early, maybe even a little bit too early. It was still dark out, but the young man standing at the top of the sightseeing cliff overlooking the village was taking in the sights of the village right before the sun would begin to rise. He had decided to get his lazy students out of bed nice and early so that they could share in this beautiful moment with him, something that would be a decent bonding experience for all of them. There was something special about taking in the views of a sunrise from this particular spot, which made sharing it even better. His red eyes scanned over the horizon, a smile on his fair face with soft features that would look good on either gender. His medium length blonde and pink hair was messy and he wore three lip rings, two on the right side and one on the left that connected to an earing in his left ear. He wore a black collar on his neck that sported the Iwagakure symbol, as well as fishnet gloves on both of his hands. He wore a long purple shirt that was cut low around the shoulders, holes for the thumbs to slide through. His shorts were shorter than a male would generally wear and were sitting above thigh high pink and black striped socks and knee high platform boots. He cut an interesting figure to say the least.

He was waiting on the three people who had been assigned to his squad, eagerly awaiting to see the three boys who he had been given. One of them was a ninjutsu and bukijutsu user from the Hattori clan, who's elements didn't work with Shigeki's at all. It would be an interesting thing for him to work with this boy. He was hoping that he would be able to get through to him, but the only thing they had in common was Ninjutsu. From what Shigeki had read he was fairly respectful, which was good because that was something that was quite important to the Jounin. He could also be known to act rashly, which was something that made Shigeki a little bit nervous. He assumed that he might have to break each of these boys of a bad habit at some point, which was part of being a squad leader, and that was the big one that he would have to work around. Shigeki did think they would probably get along fairly well.

The second boy was a member of the famed Guanyin clan, masters of medical jutsus. He was curious to see this develop in him, as he had a fairly personal relationship with the leader of his clan, Nanashi. The two of them had shared quite a fun night together, one that Shigeki actually bothered to remember and one that he would happily repeat in the future. Tadashi was apparently quite smart, which Shigeki was happy about, and was also a user of Ninjutsu and the Katon element. It was a place where shigeki had some knowledge and a bit of comfort, which was good because he needed some common ground to teach the boys. His drawback, from what Shigeki had been told, was that he was quite shy. This shyness was part of the reason that they had put him in Shigeki's squad, as it was something that he struggled with as a child but had really come out of over the past few years. He hoped that he would be able to help this boy come out of that shell as well.

The third "boy" wasn't really a boy at all. He was actually a year older than Shigeki, and he would certainly be an interesting person for him to deal with. Shigeki had been told that he possessed the ability to use Crystal release, something that he had seen before when he met the Missing-Nin Tame, but didn't know how he was going to teach someone with it. He was a medical ninja, which Shigeki liked to surround himself with, and due to his advanced element he had to know Doton as well, which was good for Shigeki. It meant that they would also have Ninjutsu and an element in common for them to work with. He would be the toughest of all, Shigeki assumed, because he was a coward. He was sent to Shigeki because he had a way of getting people to come out of their shells, and apparently he would need help with that. He was a nice guy from what Shigeki had heard, so that would be a bonus where he should be able to get along with him.

The three of them all had two things in common; one they all used Ninjutsu, and two they were all unfortunate enough to be put into Shigeki's squad. He would do his best to train the three of them, and he was looking forward to the challenge. The sun would be rising within the next fifteen minutes, and he was expecting to see his new squad any minute now...

It was early, definitely too early. The still darkened sky stood testament to that, but nonetheless it was still the duty of a certain young man standing at five feet and five inches sluggishly walking along the path to the top of the cliff to show up on time. This young man would be Hitoshi Yasuko, a member of a small family that branches off from the Hattori clan. He walked with a tired expression on his face, with the occasional yawn, and his short, blonde hair would be styled as a bit of a wide mohawk, with the sides of his head shaved and an unkempt wide line of hair stretching from his hairline down to the back of his neck. He would have his hands in the pockets of his dark purple pants, which seemingly only reached down enough to cover his legs, but not his ankles and the pair of sandals he wore. Hanging loosely around the white short sleeved shirt he wore would be a thin blue jacket with a black striped trim, and a black illustration of his family's symbol on the back, which would be slightly similar to his clan's symbol.

Hitoshi actually liked the location that their squad would be meeting at, and was a bit of a regular there himself. The sightseeing cliff indeed provided a beautiful sight, even if it was just of the village, it helps one get a better scope of how big the world is, and how small they truly are in it. The only thing he didn't care much for would be the tourists that visit the cliff, wishing to get a bigger look at the village itself. Generally they would act ignorant and fool around on top of it, making the whole experience of being there lessen to the point where it's nothing special at all. He only wished he could've slept in a little more as, not being a morning person in the slightest, waking up to the point where it was still dark out wasn't exactly on his list of things to do. He never seen a sunrise here before, though the sunsets were events that he fell in love with watching, and tried to watch as much as possible.

Reaching the top, Hitoshi would take notice of a slender individual standing there, a smile seemingly on his... or her face. Due to the slender build of his individual and the soft features their face had, the Genin was immediately confused on whether this individual of an ambiguous gender was actually male or female. He dug the hair though, which was of seemingly medium length, with a messy style of blonde and pink hair, which reminded of his own family's habits of dying their hair a mixture of blonde and brown when they accomplished what they set out to accomplish, though pink was certainly a better color than brown in this case.

As he neared what he assumed would be their Sensei, the Genin wondered if they're his sensei at all. He expected someone less.. free, with their style, and especially not someone with three lip rings, and earring, and a black collar around their neck with the symbol of the village on it. Then again, Hitoshi himself probably doesn't look like much either, and from that he knew that looks can be deceiving. Stopping around one and a half meters away from the taller individual in front of him, Hitoshi's tired face would offer a friendly smile as he lowered his head slightly, offering a casual yet still respectful gesture. "It's nice to meet you, Sensei." The Genin would offer as he raised his head back up, looking into the individual's red eyes. From what he saw while bowing, the person he assumed to be his sensei would wear a long purple shirt with a cut along the shoulders, fishnet gloves, and really short shorts, a pair of platform boots and a pair of thigh-high pink and black striped socks topping off the look. "If you don't mind me asking, are you a guy or a girl?"

"I'll be sure to send you straight to hell, master!" a man with a red bandanna screamed from within a giant robot.

From another giant robot, laughter came. "You're just upset."

"I know the path I walk now! I do not need your guidance!" The red bandanna man screamed, his robot running forward.

The other robot remained still, arms crossed. "You know nothing."

"What?!" the running robot stopped.

"It was I. I was the one who did it."

"Did it?!"

"I...I've slain your pet dog."

"Oh no!" A dramatic gasp came from the man as he fell to his knee. "P-Ponlo?!"

"Yes, Ponlo, if that's its real name! It was I!" The robot with crossed arms uncrossed them, reaching for its back, drawing a large mech katana. "And now, I must slay the dog's master."

"No ! ! !" screamed the bandanna man's mech, an echo replaying the same 'no' three times. Suddenly, a burst of wind and a freakishly bright light show came from it. "I will not allow this to go on any more!"

"Then face me, you fool!" The master's sword pointed at the other robot. "Not as master and student, but enemies on the field!"

Then...it went dark...

Sitting in front of the television in a dark room was Alistein, bowl of cereal in hand as he leaned forward. He groaned when he saw this episode's credits start rolling up the screen.

"Knowing the producers, it'll be nothing but filler from here on out," he said to himself, drinking the milk from the bowl. "Well, still good nonetheless!"

'Third Reika: Strike ready', was the name of the cartoon show he was watching. It had something to do with a dog being murdered, a guy with a red bandanna constantly showing a picture of his dog to others, trying to find its killer. Alistein took this time, as the credits rolled, to get ready for today. Today, he was to meet with his sensei and other squad members.

Walking over to his closet, he grabbed the final piece of his outfit. A blue jacket that could be mistaken as a life vest. He slit it over his gray hoodie, that was over his red plaid shirt. Then, he left his home, making sure twice to lock it. Before he started walking any further, he reached down to his blue and gray running shoes, tugging the tongue and back a bit. He then pulled at the top of his socks, beginning to walk again, sky dark.

+++

As he left his house, he walked through his favorite district of Iwagakure, which happens to be a small niche avenue with foreign goods. Pottery, furniture, and the like were interesting to look at, but Alistein had always been drawn to a certain shop he'd had visited multiple times. This shop...really didn't have a name, but that didn't matter. As he passed, he saw a small portable television with another episode of Reika starting up.

"Go! Go! Fly through the sea...of anguish! Go! Go!" the theme song played. The bandanna man's robot flew through a cloud of fire and ash, jet thrusters located at the bottom of its boots. Green pillars of flame propelled it forward, through a battle ship with the enemy symbol. After ramming through the ship, the robot had landed on the ground, walking through the wreckage as if it had flown through wet paper. Opening credits appeared next to the menacing-looking robot, soon to be replaced with a shot of the hero's murdered dog.

"Ah, this is a rerun. Season one's opening," Alistein noted, walking off. He maneuvered past the shoppers, careful not to bump into them. The last time he did, he was accused of pick pocketing. Despite it being so early, it was as if shoppers of Iwa never slept.

Walking for about fifteen minutes more, towards the location he was meant to be at, the sightseeing cliff, Alistein took note of the sky starting to light up. He smiled, wondering if he'd be able to see a sunrise. Been a while since he was able to, always asleep during. Nearing the top of the cliff, he took note of the presence of two people. Since they looked to be nothing like how a sensei or his imagined squad members would, he sighed, scratching at his head as he checked around himself.

"I think I'm early," he said under his breath. "I could have a least saw that rerun of Reika if that was the case. I think it was the one where..." Alistein stopped near the top of the cliff, talking to himself about the rerun's episode content. Seeing as how he thought he was the only one of the squad present, he took this time to adjust his blue shorts, and fix his brown wavy hair. Then, something crossed his mind, causing his brown eyes to widen. "Is this-...? Is this even the right spot?" he said to mostly himself, feeling a chill.

The feeling of grogginess you get from waking up early or even waking up at all, is never a good one. Your senses slowly coming along as your brain attempts to kickstart your body along with the feeling of forcing your eyes open. Waking up wasn't like any sleeping beauty. This is the reality of it, and the reality was absolute hell. That was all Tadashi could think during this dreadful morning. He was never one to instantly wake up, ready to go. It was always a strenuous process. His mother was always the one who had to wake him up, and Tadashi didn't even move until several minutes after his "alarm clock" went off. This whole thing might seem unusual to most people, but Tadashi was hopeful there were other people like him in the world.

Now somewhat awake and aware, Tadashi eventually crawled his way out of his bed. Why did he have to wake up so early anyway? This was supposed to be a happy-go-lucky squad meet up. Why did the sensei think it was sensible to torture hit students like this on the first day. Whatever, it's not like this relationship would last long anyway. It usually took one single day until his "sensei" and "mentor" labeled him as incompetent. That's how this process always went. For more than a year now, Tadashi kept getting thrown aside in his squad or team. These people just never had the chance to understand poor old Tadashi. The whole thing kept getting cut before he even had a chance to put himself out there. Why would this sensei's treatment be any different than the ones he's had before? The outcome of this meetup was already destined to be a failure before it had even begun. If that's how it always was, why did Tadashi even have to take this seriously? There was no point.

So, that was it. Tadashi decided he wouldn't take this meetup seriously. That really didn't mean anything, though. Since the limit of mischief this child could cause stopped at just not taking a shower (Unspeakable, right? It's even a sin to say it.) So that's what he did! Who needs hygiene anyway? Tadashi skipped the whole bathroom process of his morning routine and went straight to his closet and threw on whatever in his floor passed the smell test. In the end, he ended up wearing a white t-shirt under a large military green jacket with a fur lining around the hood with regular black jeans. He wasn't entirely sure what this meeting would include, but this outfit seemed good enough for any situation. He turned towards a mirror that was on his wall and started to examine himself. The clothes he just put on all looked too big for him, but that was the same with all of his clothes. None of them ever wanted to fit on his boney, undeveloped body. With an appearance like this, it'd be obvious that he was weak compared to everyone else. It was kind of a depressing thought, but Tadashi dealt with it. His long blonde hair was still in its bed-ridden state. He ran a hand through it, as if that'd fix the whole problem, and ran out the door towards his squad's scheduled meetup.

Tadashi found that being out this early wasn't exactly a bad thing. It was kind of like the calm before a storm, in a sense. The silent, still air, only moments until it gets swallowed up by villagers going about their everyday life. Tadashi quickly got lost in this feeling and found that he quickly arrived at the path to the sightseeing cliff faster than he thought he would. During this last stretch, Tadashi wondered what his squadmates would be like. Not like it was important to him or anything, this was a destined failure, remember? Still, one can't help to be curious. Were they bullies? Nerds? What did they specialize in? All of these questions floated around in Tadashi's head, but that's all they'd do. There was zero chance he'd actually verbalize such questions.

When he reached his destination, he looked around on the cliff for anything that looked like a squad forming. He spotted three figures standing somewhat near each other, and decided that was them. He seemed to be the last one, which wasn't exactly an issue. He was used to being last. As he was walking up, his eyes stayed looking towards his feet, shooting up the occasional judging, curious glances towards the three strangers. One of them was wearing purple pants.. and sandals? What with that haircut too? Was he a delinquent? And what was a grown man doing at a squad meet up? Was he a pedophile? The other one was just strange, and Tadashi couldn't exactly wrap his head around what exactly he was. Pink hair, fishnets, knee high neon socks, piercings, and a collar? If this even was his would to be squad, what type dysfunctional family would this turn out to be?

The distance between him and the others turned to nothing as he practically stood by them. Tadashi shoved his hands into his jacket pockets, keeping his eyes aimed at the ground. He couldn't handle anything close to eye contact, and the ground was a nice enough view. He didn't even attempt to say anything. He didn't know these people, so who'd expect him to greet them first? That was just a scary thought. Tadashi stretched out his arms with his hands in his pockets, letting out a long, sleep deprived yawn as he waited for someone to get this meeting going.

And so they began to saunter in to the spot. The first one had shortish blonde hair, styled in a mowhawk. His clothing was a bit odd, though he certainly didn't mind since he dressed pretty outlandishly. He had a kind look to him, Shigeki trying to figure out which one he was. When he spoke he also bowed slightly. He was very polite and curtious right up until he asked Shigeki that one question that people generally never actually asked him. He just smiled at him, put his soft hand on his head and spoke in his soft effeminate voice; "You're cute kid, you look like you'd be good for a fun time." He winked at the boy and kept an eye out for the next one. It took a few minutes, but he saw the second boy walking towards him.

This seemed to be the older of the three, so Shigeki knew off the bat this had to be Alistein. He had long wavy brown hair, a grey hoodie with a blue coat vest thing overtop of it. Honestly he looked pretty...average? As though he was wearing the most generic thing he could possibly be wearing. He looked lost, of course, and seemed like he wasn't sure if he was in the right spot or not. Shigeki heard him ask under his breath if he was in the right spot and he walked over to him and said "Alistein, you're in the right spot. Don't worry, I don't bite...hard..." He wasn't sure if this would put the boy off, though if it did it wasn't nevessarily a bad thing. Putting people off was kind of Shigeki's fighting style, which all of his students would learn soon enough.

The third boy started making his way towards them, also dressed unfortunately boringly. It was too bad that only one other person in the squad seemed to know how to have fun. He was cute too, it's like Karumo was trying to tempt him with all of these good looking students. He must have known about Shigeki's reputation for being a bit of a sex fiend, and here he was dangling the best looking bunch in the village in front of him...well except maybe for Nanashi...He missed Nanashi quite a bit, they had had such a great night together, and that now felt so long ago. When the boy approached them, he looked each of them over, Shigeki smiling slightly ass he did. "Good of you to join us cutie," he gave another wink and a smile and then walked to where he could see all of the boys.

"Well look at you guys, up at such an early time, out here with a bunch of people you may have never even met being talked to by someone you don't know and probably haven't even heard of." He chuckled a light airy chuckle before he looked each of them over. "I know basics about each of you, your names and affinities, but you know nothing of one another, or of me for that matter. So to begin...My friends call me Shika, you can call me Sensei...or you can call me later." He looked towards the first boy again and winked once more. He was watching the reactions of each boy, since he knew that every squad tended to have a pervert, and that was the one that Shigeki would really be able to show off his abilities on. "I'm a Kanetsu, a lava user, and I'm also a genjutsu user. I'm told that you all use Ninjutsu, so that's something we have in common as well. I've been a Jounin in this village for the past four years, and was one of the fastest rising Jounin in village history." He smiled once more, looking the boys over. He was curious to see how this would all go.

"I've been asked to train you all, so there's something I need from all of you. I want to know why you became a shinobi? Why are you here? What are you hoping to learn from me? And tell me more about each of you." He walked up behind the boy with the mohawk first, put his hands on his shoulder gently and softly spoke to him "Why don't you go first?" When the first boy had said his part, he would walk to the next, and the last after that, telling each of them to go next and resting his hands on each of their shoulders as he did so. He would listen to each of them intently as he did so, and absorbed what he could about them...

Hitoshi would be taken off guard as his Sensei would smile at him, a hand placed on the top of his head, matting down the messy blonde hair for a few moments as he told him that he's a "cute kid", continuing it by saying he looks like he'd be in for a fun time while winking at him. 'Please be a guy..' he would think to himself as he held back the urge to wink back. He never considered himself to be a "cute kid", but hey, first step in the right direction. Looking to his left, Hitoshi would see a clearly older and taller male, one that had long, wavy brown hair, a grey hoodie with a blue coavest covering it, and the look that someone that is utterly lost would give. Honestly it made Hitoshi himself wonder if he, too, was lost, and wouldn't be surprised if he were, though he was sure he received the location correctly. It's kind of hard for anyone that knows how to comprehend to get "sightseeing cliff", and honestly, from the way the Sensei looked, he hoped that the second thing that came out of this is that they were at the right place.

Just in time, a third boy would arrive, dressed pretty much as bland as the second, though not appearing as lost. If cardboard had a face, it would probably be this kid. He looked a few inches shorter than Hitoshi, which surprised him as even he was somewhat short in comparison to some others that were around his age. At least the jacket he wore was a sort of military green. It was a nice jacket nonetheless, but unlike what Hitoshi assumed to be his sensei and the older squad member, this kid, whom of which didn't really bother to look at them, made Hitoshi wonder if he's one of those people that think that just because they're a Genin they're some sort of next-level genius.

Then their assumed Sensei would speak up, pretty much chuckling after he told them that they were up at an early time, being talked to by someone that was close to being a complete stranger, both by recognition and reputation, and they would be right. This is someone they, or at least he, hasn't heard of, a total complete stranger. This could all be a joke played on three unfortunate losers and Hitoshi would be just falling for it. Dangle some fruit in front of them and then pull away, very funny, jerks. Luckily however, this ambiguous person seemed to be their legitimate Sensei, as they know each of the three's basics, from their names to their affinities to probably even whether they're boxers or briefs, at least in this flirt's case. They didn't know this Sensei of theirs, those. Confirmation on what they're packing would be a good start, but Hitoshi guessed he'll live with a name; Shika, or at least that's what their friends call them. They'd continue one with saying next that they can call this person Sensei, putting a clear enough distinction that there's a difference between a master and student and two friends, and in this situation, they're little more than students, though the ensuing joke, which made Hitoshi chuckle a little bit, also confused him. For a Sensei, they're seriously into their students, and the Genin didn't know whether or not he was into this person in return. In one way it's a sort of childish crush, in another it's like one of those creepy situations that usually end with pointing at a certain place on a doll and some jail-time.

Hitoshi couldn't help but wink in response at this point, take it as an act of impulse or just following along with a flirty joke, but he learned a while ago that life is just easier if he just lets things roll on rather than to go into deep thought on everything. What is he, a philosopher? He's a weapons user with no weapons, an equal to an Ostrich trying to say it's a decent bird and not a mistake. He would listen as their Sensei would reveal that they're a Lava specializing Genjutsu user, a Kanetsu. Hitoshi thought that sounded pretty hot, but more for the sake of a cheap pun that helped encourage him to nearly laugh as their Sensei spoke rather than actually diving into thinking on it.  Shika-Sensei would continue by claiming to have the proficiency in Ninjutsu in common with the three of them before admitting their experience being a Jounin, which had reached four years in experience as one, and was one of the fastest rising Jounin in village history.

Telling them about how they had been asked to train all three of them, the Sensei would explain that they want to know why they had become a Shinobi, why they're here, and what they want to learn from him or her. Having moved around them, Hitoshi would jump a little when he felt a pair of hands on his shoulders gently, softly speaking to him, inquiring him to go first. "W-well," he would begin, nervously gulping as he tried to regain his composure and suppress his perverted thoughts. "The name is Hitoshi Yasuko, or Hito for short. I became a Shinobi because I feel it'll be a fun time, and because I want to make a new Bukijutsu fighting style that combines spears, unorthodox weapons, and musical instruments together. I may not be hot like a lava user, but I like to think I'm somewhat sharp." He would say, giving a short pause after delivering a short, cheap pun. "I'm here because I figured this would be an experience that will help me out, and as far as what I'm hoping to learn from you, specifically, the first thing I want to learn from you would be how to not suck."

Alistein was lost in his own monologue, still speaking about how he should probably ask the locals where he should go. Then, he realized that said locals would think he's a loon. "Ah, but how would that look? A random stranger coming up to you asking 'Where do I go'? No, no..." He continued with the chat to himself, glancing at another boy walking over. He dismissed him, thinking he was just one of the locals here to watch the sunrise. "There isn't more than one-... No, this is the one. I'm just early. I'm just-"

He heard his name leave the lips of who he realized was his sensei. Odd. He imagined his sensei to be, well, 'sensei-like'. Nothing too special, just someone with a really 'battle hardened' facial expression or something. It occurred to him that he has yet to say anything in response to being spoken to. "A-ah," he smiled and nodded, "alright then." A brief period of silence passed before Colvert spoke to himself again. "Wait...'bite'...?" He began stroking his chin, pondering, but stopped this, realizing it was probably just a saying.

"Wait," Alistein felt another chill, "the last time someone said 'bite', they-..."

Alistein shook his head, hearing his sensei talk. He listened, and nodded along to everything they were saying, agreeing. Except...for the 'call me later comment'. He just smiled, giving a single 'ha' while leaning his head to the side. This was Good. They had a sense of humor, causing Colvert to relax a bit. His sensei's name was Shika, or at least, that's all he was told regarding a name. "Fastest rising jounin? And one for four years." It would seem that Alistein's vision of what a sensei was supposed to look like had a few holes in it. He would have never guess someone that looked so young would be such a rank for so long.

Then, the expected questioning began. Colvert had prepared for this, figuring his team would want to know more about him. "I-" he was cut off when the Sensei walked over to a boy with a Mohawk. Wait... He's...a part of his squad? Alistein's head turned to look for the second boy, spotting him. He must be apart of the squad as well. The man relaxed more, a smile creeping on his face. He was in the right spot, sure, but now the pressure of meeting his peers was off his chest. His attention shifted to 'Hitoshi'.

Again, Al nodded along, listening to the boy's reasoning for being a ninja. He had to admit, those were quite passionate words he was speaking. Until, he got to the pun. Alistein...just nodded, but then felt like he should at least give a forced laugh to relax him. "Haaa~..." Actually, after the 'laugh', Alistein wondered if that could be interpreted as passive aggressive sarcasm. He hoped not. When the boy finished, Alistein clapped, just to both be nice and maybe make up for the 'passive aggressive sarcasm' from earlier. Then, it was his turn, signified by a hand on his shoulder.

"Okay," he began. He took a deep breath. "I'm wanting to be a medic, or at least spread awareness of the dangers of ninja tools." He gulped, remembering the root cause of his decision. "I-... Not too often, genin ninjas don't know the dangers of the items. I want to maybe instruct them, maybe educate them, as to what a dangerous or unstable tool looks like. Therefore, they shouldn't go around poking it or-..." Alistein sighed. "I just want everyone to be safe. And if someone is hurt, I...want to help them get back up. Or at least cancel out the pain. Maybe just be useful? Um-..." He gulped once more. He never decided on an ending to his speech, really. He hoped it at least held up. As he watched his sensei walk to the third boy, Alistein lowered his head, his hands on his side now. "But to do that-..." he said under his breath, remembering the 'not-so-heroic' times he was on the battlefield...in hiding. He rubbed his forehead with his index and thumb, and then swept the hairs strands that dangled in front of his face to the side.

Another deep breath was taken. After replaying his speech as to why he chose to be a ninja, he started wondering if he could have added in more details. Could he have gotten a bit more personal? But then, the comment Shika made was also true. They don't know each other that well. Would they care? He shook his head free of these somewhat toxic thoughts, breathing deeply once more. Trying to take his mind off of how he did, he took note of the minuscule facts going on around him. Like how the sun had risen a bit more, which means the temperature would be rising soon. At this point, there was nothing else to note, so his mind was blank, ready to head back to the toxic thoughts. Then, he remembered. There's one more person to give their reasoning. He turned to look over at the final member of the squad, listening intently.

It's been awhile since Tadashi got complimented by someone. Cutie wasn't that much of a compliment, actually. Was it even a compliment really, or was it more a joke? He wasn't entirely sure, it could be seen in either light, but Tadashi decided to take it as a serious, heartfelt compliment. He wasn't really used to those, and it caught him off guard for a moment. His cheeks growing warmer than they should be. His eyes stayed locked on the ground, not willing to look towards the bearer of the compliment. Should he say something in response to it? Would that be appropriate? "N-Not a problem.." The words came out as a muttered, whispered mess that wouldn't be understandable unless you were inches away. It was pathetic, just like the man who spat it out.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, it seemed like the meeting was getting started. Their assigned sensei began their speech, probably hoping to get us excited for the future of the squad, probably not, though. They made it seem like it was a hassle to wake up so early in the morning. Tadashi didn't really mind, it's just that he never really had a reason to. It seemed like the man, woman, whatever also knew each thing about them. This wasn't that surprising, seeing how they're meant to be their tutor and mentor. They then gave their name, and what they said early was true. He never heard of this person before, and Tadashi read about many of their high-ranking shinobi before. This person seemed suitable to be a sensei being "a Jounin in this village for the past four years, and was one of the fastest rising Jounin in village history." The speech then ended with many questions, which were basically asking what they supposedly already knew. Was there even a point to asking them? There was, but Tadashi wasn't a fan of public speaking.

Their sensei chose the delinquent to go first, and his answers weren't that bad. He seemed to like bukijutsu, and intended to make his own unique style at some point using... musical instruments? Tadashi didn't exactly know how effective that'd be, but it was certainly unique. Tadashi was unable to see eye to eye with bukijutsu. He wasn't a fan of close ranged combat, given his frail body and history as the bully victim. This person seemed to be a good candidate for comic relief, though, which is always fun.

Next was the pedophile. This guy was older than Tadashi and Hitoshi, but his views aren't anything bad. He wanted to be a medic, and at some point educate genin on the dangers of certain items. He just wanted everyone to be safe. This man seemed like someone Tadashi could get along with, unlike the previous speaker. He wanted to be a medic, Tadashi wanted to be a medic. He wanted to teach, Tadashi wanted to learn. He also seemed like he didn't really like public speaking either, which was a nice bonus. Having being treated harshly by his peers during most of his life, Tadashi wasn't exactly a fan of making friends, but he might make an exception for this person.

Now it was his turn. He had everything he wanted to say already planned out in his head, all he had to do was vocalize it. However, whenever a pair of hands came for his shoulders, he'd suddenly flinch as if he'd been shot. The flinch would probably only be noticeable to the sensei, and would only seem like a short little shake to anyone else. Tadashi managed to quickly resolve himself, letting the hands rest on his shoulders once he realized they weren't meant to be harmful. However, his prepared speech went out the window. He moved his eyes from the ground, actually staring somewhat towards his teammates.
"I, uh..." He started with a pause, trying to actually think up a backup speech. "I became a shinobi mostly because of my family... since I'm a uh... Guanyin. I've tried this whole squad thing in the past, but... I was always the odd one out. The w-whole thing never blossomed. I came here hoping that this", He motioned to the whole situation that was occurring, "would become something. I'm... not a very strong person, so I was just hoping I could learn how to be strong from you... I like learning.", His voice was slow and rigid, trying to communicate everything properly. Everything he said was basically true. He was in a squad in the past, and he decided to resign after the rest of his squad basically rejected him. He wasn't exactly strong, either. He was pretty much an embarrassment to his whole clan when compared to legends like Nanashi, or you know, anyone else. He took a deep breath before finishing strong, his voice clear and precise, filled with meaningful words. "I just hope I can get along with all of you." Was what he said enough to please the audience? He wasn't exactly sure, but he hoped it was.

Shigeki

Shigeki

Dead
As the first boy began to speak, Shigeki listened attentively, or as attentively as he could anyway. He was fairly easily distracted at times, and it could make it hard to focus. He had brought them here so that there would be no distractions, but having more than one of them here at a time was a distraction in itself. He told him that he wanted to learn some kind of fighting style that included instruments, which Shigeki thought was odd. He told him tha he wasn't hot but he was sharp, to which Shigeki softly said to him; "Don't sell yourself short, kid, you're hot alright." As he spoke he mentioned his goal, which Shigeki had to stop himself from bursting out laughing at. His response, of course, was somewhat less serious than it probably should have been. "Well unfortunately, sucking is something I'm quite proficient in." He left the boy with a wink and moved over to listen to the next one, the oldest of the three.

The second boy was clearly a coward. He exuberated that fact and his response made it extremely obvious. Shigeki nodded as he spoke about how he wanted to spread awareness of the dangers of ninja tools, trying once again not to laugh. He was trying to be the kind and nurturing sensei, but it was a little bit difficult when presented with something like this. He didn't disagree, being a shinobi was indeed dangerous, but he also knew that it was something that every shinobi knew. He could appreciate the fact that he wanted to help people out through medical either way. "You know, I can teach you some tricks with rope and a Kunai that you'll never forget..." He chuckled as he sai this and then walked to the third boy, hearing the second speak under his breath as Shigeki left. He had fairly good senses, and the area wasn't large enough for him to miss it.

The third boy, Tadashi, tensed up when Shigeki put his shoulders on him. He was gentle when he did so, knowing that if someone were to do this to him he would likely break down if he wasn't expecting it, and even if he was he would be uncomfortable. This one was a little more like him than the rest in that regard, it seemed, and he wondered what he had gone through in his past for him to be so nervous to peoples' touch. He told them that he became a shinobi because he was a Guanyin and that he had issues in squads in the past. Shigeki was ready to put in a quip but he decided he would wait until it seemed like the boy had stopped. He admitted to not being strong, which nor was Shigeki himself, but he said that he was hoping to learn from him and that he liked learning. Shigeki smiled and whispered into the boys ear when he was done. "I taught your clan leader a thing or two, he and I shared a pretty fun night together...Maybe I can teach you the same." He would wink once more, walking back towards where each of them could see him and watching to see the effects of the heat that he had been exuding since the beginning of their interaction.

"Thank you boys. I rose through the ranks because of my affinity for both genjutsu and for my abilities with disguise. I am easily able to make myself appear as a woman, when I clearly am not. I suppose that might not be super obvious, but part of the art is dedication to one's craft. I'm looking forward to teaching each of you...starting right now." He would lock eyes with Hitoshi, activating his Vision of Lust genjutsu, and making him see the person of his desires walk up to him from just behind Shigeki's position. They would approach him and begin to essentially give him a strip tease, though without the tease part as it would completely end up naked and on top of him essentially, depending on what his mind wanted him to see. He would walk up to the other two, and the heat from his body would activate a genjutsu on Tadashi. This one would force him to feel extremely warm, having to begin stripping off his clothing for him to get rid of the extra heat. He had quickly activated a couple of hand symbols before activating this, and then made his way towards Alistein.

Shigeki would activate the third of his genjutsu by pressing the palm of his hand to Alistein's cheek, the effect of this being quite impressive indeed. This simple touch would cause the student to feel an immense force, causing him to jump back two meters as the flight reaction in their body would be activated. He would then end up falling down on his ass, unable to stand for several seconds while the shock of the strike still overtook their body. He would then move back towards the rail and watch the sun as it finally began to rise, smiling as it did and speaking back to his opponents. "The hardest thing about dealing with genjutsu is I can literally make you guys see whatever I want. I hope you enjoy your time with me, I know I'm going to have a lot of fun..."

Hitoshi Yasuko

Hitoshi Yasuko

D-rank
Despite being told to not sell himself short, and that he's definitely hot, but Hitoshi certainly didn't feel it at that moment. He allowed his being nervous and flustered to get the best of him, and as a result, he made a stupid pun, and his goal in itself sounded stupid overall as he ran it back over in his head. The thought of this screw-up made him want to just go back home and sleep the embarrassment off. Of course he would say something as stupid as that. He squad mates probably already have written him off as some sort of dumbass that weren't worth their time by now just from that, and frankly, he couldn't blame them. On the outside, he would give a nervous chuckle, rubbing the back of his head in response to their Sensei, but on the inside, he wanted nothing more than to just jump off a cliff just to escape the embarrassment. What made t especially worse would be the clapping the elder Genin next to him did, which he could only interpret as something along the lines of "great job, you stupid shitnugget." Great job, indeed.

Still, even as the nervous Genin did lose the smile he had, he would listen to the one next to him as he would begin to talk, speaking about how he wants to be a medic, or to at least spread awareness about ninja tools and how dangerous they are. It turns out the reasoning behind this was the fact that Genin shinobi are ignorant of the dangers of them, and he wishes to instruct and educate them as to what a dangerous or unstable tool looks like. With a sigh, he would continue, informing them about how he only wants them to be safe, and if someone is hurt, he wishes for them to get back up, or at least ease the pain. Hitoshi couldn't help but feel even worse about his own explanation just then. This was something that a real shinobi would say, especially one that would go far. It painted this person whose name he didn't catch as someone that is actually really cool, at least in regards to why they came.

Finally, it was the third member of their group's turn, the person Hitoshi originally considered to be pretty bland in style before. Considering how the person that came before him was, he knew however that chances are this person probably had some cool reasons too, one that further made his own reasons seem pathetic in general. He would watch as he shook a little bit before beginning his own explanation, telling them that he became a Shinobi mostly because of his family. He would tell them about how he's a "Guanyin", and how he tried out the whole squad thing in the past, but he was always the odd one out, and that it never blossomed. He came here hoping that this group would become something, however, and that he was hoping he could learn how to be strong from their Sensei, and that he likes learning.

Hitoshi didn't really know much about the Guanyin Clan at all other than that they tend to lean more towards being medical specialists than anything else. They were certainly more close-nit that his own clan, whom of which became expansive enough that it has produced its own branches, and overall lost communication with each family housed within them. He knew what it was like, to have pressure on him to do something due to family, but he wondered if it was even worse for this Genin, whom of which he assumed actually had a closer-nit clan in comparison to his own. He actually wondered if, if he wasn't apart of the clan, that their third squad member would actually be a shinobi at the moment, or if he would remain a civilian. Hitoshi knew that if it weren't for his own family, he probably would've been some sort of no-name street musician, and now instead he's a no-name Genin.

Seeing that the current speaker was taking a deep breath, he would hear him claim to hope he can get along with all of them. Yep, another way better speech than his own. It was less structured like the one before him, but still, it certainly radiated a sense of sincerity from the shy-appearing male. With how these two spoke, it nearly made he himself a little guilty for how carelessly he said his own explanation, and how essentially it sounded like he wasn't taking the entire thing all too seriously. His odd desire to combine multiple elements into his own fighting style pretty much spat in the face of Mr. Safe and sorry next to him, and the way he acted probably made the shy one probably view him as some sort of dumbass. In a way, it made him wonder if he truly belonged, but he knew that, just be arriving here, turning back away from this commitment would probably further anger his own family, meaning that, getting along with his squad-mates or not, he had no choice but to stick to it.

He would instead look back towards their Sensei, whom of which provided little flirtatious comments to each of them throughout their introductions. It made him feel more at ease that he wasn't singled out for his stupid explanation outright, and it put him even more at ease when he saw that their Sensei was being flirtatious with all of them, rather than one of them. In a way it helped Hitoshi better calm himself down and drop some of this irrational nervousness he picked up. He despised the idea of being in the spotlight, but also the idea of being the one left behind as well. He wanted to improve, but not take the reigns fully. It was a pretty childish thought but, considering how much he wanted to educate others and generally how older he is than the other two, Hitoshi would be the most okay with the older Genin taking the reigns. He's still fine with the other one as well, but from what he's been showing, he wondered if having a really shy leader would actually help him break out of his shell, or push him further back into it.

Their Sensei would speak however, forcing Hitoshi to put his considerations in regards to his squad mates to the back of his mind for now. He would have to go on what he learned later when he would think about how they could work well together. From what he can understand, both of them were most likely medical Shinobi, so he wondered if that meant they preferred to be in more supportive roles than he would, making him further assume both probably had Ninjutsu or Genjutsu with them as well. Nonetheless, he would have to consider it later, or ask them outright, and get some information later on when he had more time to fully study. Instead, he would hear their Sensei thank each of them, telling them they rose through the ranks because of both their affinity for Genjutsu and their abilities with disguises, making his or her self appear as a woman, which he's clearly not.

What.

He could barely hear about how he was looking forward to teaching each of them, starting right now, as he would force himself to stop before he began throwing a fist-pump. His more perverted side was happy with the fact that his person was a male and not a female, meaning that he no longer had to continue questioning how he felt during the flirting. Granted, however, he made the mistake of locking eyes with his Sensei at that moment, and before he knew it, his darkest secret came up to him from behind his Sensei. In the darkest corner underneath his bed held a book of drawings, half of which depicted various combinations of creatures in humans in rather... embarrassing positions, to say the least. What were people like him called again? Scalies? Weirdos? Something of the sort, but nonetheless, as this half-person, half-dragon of a creature stepped out in little more than a loincloth, Hitoshi's nose instantly shot out blood as he had a blank smile on his face.

The sun would rise as he start at the bare, light-blue skin, and the attractive human male face it had, and as it rose, Hitoshi would be looking almost directly into it, as he would be partially blinded from it just as the masculine creature begun to undress. As it did, he felt his head grow lighter, and he saw everything begin to go dark. "This is my dragontale~" He would say to himself as he fell flat on his back, fainting from what had just happened for a few moments. As he came to, his nose would still be bleeding, forming a pretty steady flow out of it and on his chin and the sides of his face where he had fainted. He would come to just in time to hear "I know I'm going to have a lot of fun..." and immediately even more blood would shoot out. Covering his face with his hands, he would begin to run off, leaving the area and immediately considering this squad meeting to be over for him.

Alistein

Alistein

D-rank
Alistein was listening to the third member's explanation. Now out of his own mind, he took the time to get a better look at him. He wasn't too much for judging by appearance, so he didn't think anything by how the boy appeared. It was when he started talking that Alistein knew a bit more about what kind of person they may be...

"Aw no," he said quietly.

Alistein knew what was happening, mainly because he's been there the first time he appeared at the Iwagakure academy. The multiple 'uh's, and the constant pausing... This boy may as well had screamed to the three of them 'Hey, I'm incredibly shy. Nice to meet you!'. Or wait... It could be nervousness. Alistein didn't want to rule out that possibility. After all, this was the first time they were meeting. Then, there were a few stutters. Eh, maybe he's just tripping over his words.

Just as it had started, the boy's introductory speech finished. Wait, already? Alistein was expecting some sort of-... Some sort of something. Maybe it was the structure of the speech that threw him off, comparing it to his own? Probably. Or maybe he had expected the goal to be in a more direct form. But all he received was a hope that they could all get along, and to be strong. That-... That is a pretty obtuse goal, he felt at least. There were multiple roads to growing stronger. Of course, along with that, there was the clan name being dropped. However, the man wasn't too well versed in clan histories. There was more to the speech, but Alistein too a moment to sift through what was on his mind.

"To become...strong?" Alistein said to himself. It wasn't a bad goal, it was just... "To be strong," he repeated, crossing his arms and looking down to his shoes.

No matter how long he thought about it, he'd always go back to the same answer. There's just too many ways to 'become stronger'. Did the boy mean physically stronger, or mentally? Did he mean stronger willed, not able to break under pressure as easily? Or was it stronger as in-...? There was just no telling from the small information he had received. So, Alistein moved onto the next part of the speech.

The boy stated that he liked to learn. Not a bad thing. Not bad at all, in fact. That was a much better think to like than what he did, giant robots slashing at each other for ten minutes. Liking to learn... Maybe he could be useful in spotting patterns? Like someone's move patters, or fighting tendencies. Alistein shrugged at the thought. Maybe.

His sensei talking snapped him out of the almost never ending steam of thoughts.

"Clan leader?" Alistein said, loud enough for others to hear. The rest of what Shika said about the clan's leader and a fun night clicked. Alistein, arms still crossed, forced a laugh to hide his nervousness. "Uh-... Ha! ...Ha, ha. Alllrighty. Um-..." He turned his head away from the sensei. "Where am I right now?" he mumbled quietly.

Though, the head being turned away didn't last long as he heard him speak. Him... So Shika was a male, so he had confirmed. It was in regards to him talking of how he was basically proficient in both genjutsu and disguise. Then, there was a line he had said which Alistein definitely agreed with. ' Part of the art is dedication to one's craft'. He could get behind this quote, being a strong believer in a quote of his own. 'The more you do it, the better you get at it'. Though, the way Shika said it was much...flowery. He liked it! 'Dedication to one's craft'. Huh. He may just have to steal that one.

All of this thinking caused him to miss what had happened to... Was Hitoshi his name? The boy with the hair styled the most different. His body looked to have stiffened as if something had caught his eye. Alistein looked to where he was, seeing...the sunrise? I mean, I guess it was a good sunrise, but-... Alistein then saw blood leaving Hitoshi's nose!

"Ah! Is he-...?!" Alistein stopped his question, seeing a smile on Hitoshi's face. Wow. Guess he really likes sunrises.

The young man failed to notice his sensei had moved over to the other boy, and then over to him. By the time he turned to look at Shika, he was greeted with a palm to the face. Alistein didn't think anything of it when he saw the hand coming towards his cheek. But then, the moment it had touched his skin, he felt odd. It was brief, but for this one moment, it felt as if there was no gravity on the planet. Or it felt as if he was just floating underwater. But that, again brief, moment was replaced with a burst of incredible force. To him, it felt like he was flying quick in the air, but at the same time floating slowly in water. It felt as if was experiencing the G-force from falling. And yet, here he was, already on the ground., looking at the sky. When did he stop falling? Was he ever falling? What happened to that 'in water' feeling? As he tried to stand, he let out a yelp as it felt like he was falling from a high height again. Again? Did he even fall the first time? No, it was a slap. It was just a slap to the face, right?

Alistein sat up, still feeling some sort of force pulling him in some directions, as if he were in a tree and someone was shaking it. There were more questions entering his head. Is this feeling permanent? If it was just a slap, then why does he feel like this? If it was just a slap, then how did he end up back here, and the sensei further away? He had to know. He tried to stand, but failed, forced to remain seated on his rear. So, he asked from his current position.

"How-...? How did-...?"

Alistein stopped to listen in on what the sensei had to say. He spoke of genjutsu, and dhow he can control what they see. Genjutsu? That was a genjutsu? Well, it made sense. The sudden feeling of falling and swimming... The more Alistein thought about it, the more it fit. The more it fit, the more he started to calm down. And now that he was calm, he realized that his legs were usable again. Just as he stood, he saw Hitoshi run past him, face covered.

"Eh?" he turned his head to watch him run. Just what did he see that could cause that reaction? Then, a thought hit Alistein. If it was true that Shika could make them see whatever he wanted them to, then that means-... Alistein crossed his arms, letting his imagination take him for a ride.

Earlier, Shika had said something about some tricks involving rope and kunai. Alistein had brushed it off as if it were nothing, but now that he's gotten a taste of genjutsu, maybe that's what Shika was on about? As he thought there, suddenly, a disturbing image popped into his mind. It was of some sort of humanoid with sick-looking wrinkled skin hunched over in old clothes. They then turned to look at Alistein, the whites of their eyes black, and their iris glowing red. Their dark teeth were clenching down on a thick rope that was attached to a kunai, the wrinkly skin becoming even more so due to a smile being formed. Alistein shook this silly image out of his head. Silly, probably because it was in his head. But if it was true that Shika could have his genjutsu possibly make it into a reality...

"Then-... Then that means-..."

Alistein stood there, ponder on what this could mean. Then it hit him. Pretty much anything that could be in Shika's head could probably enter his own. This...caused Alistein's facial expression to go blank, almost like it was drained of any sign of life. Then, he turned to Shika, and then bowed. Not saying a word, he walked away from the squad meeting location, going back the way he had come. Unlike Hitoshi, who may have seen something incredibly horrifying from Shika, the horror came from his own mind. As he kept walking, his mind kept stewing in the idea.

+++

The blank face persisted as he continued his walk home. It was in total contrast to earlier this morning, to where he was running like he was in a marathon. Nope, just walking. The sun, fully up by the time he had gotten back, didn't seem to do much in changing his expression. People greeted him, people moved past him, and others just ignored him. He didn't notice any of this however, still walking in silence. Through the market an streets of Iwa, he traveled.

He then saw his apartment coming up, walking over to his door. Calmly, he fished for his key out of his coat pocket. As he did, the towns people carried on with their day, treating Alistein as if he was going about his business. Natural thing to do. With the key in his hand now, he leisurely unlocked the door, opened it. His neighbor, someone he didn't talk to often, greeted him. He didn't make eye contact with them, but turned his head over to their direction. He...just nodded over to them. That said and done, he entered through the doorway. He turned to look out of his home, and then closed the door in front of him.

There was a pause before a 'click' came from the door. Most likely, it was the lock located above the doorknob. There was another 'click' from the door. This one sounded a bit different, like a chain lock, the bead slowly being slid into place. Inside his apartment now, he turned away from the door. The first thing he spotted was the TV still on. It was playing something that he had never seen before, but at this moment, had no interest in. And so, the brown-haired young man had turned it off. Walking past the kitchen, he realized he was hungry. However, right now, he couldn't eat. He kept walking through the empty home,  other rooms being ignored by him. Except one. He headed straight for his bedroom.

Inside his bedroom, he undid his top layer coat first, and then put it in his closet. Calmly. He then slid off his grey hoodie, and did the same to it. Calmly. Now in his red collared plaid shirt, and his shorts, he walked over to his bed. It was neat, but that wasn't the point right now. Now at the foot of the bed, he stood in silence, as if there were a pattern on his bed that needed deciphering. He then took off his shoes, and then slid them aside. Calmly. His back was then turned to the piece of furniture, and then he lowered himself onto the mattress. He sat like this for a three minutes, deciding to claps his hands together on the third. He lowered his head to the point where his lips touched his thumbs. Another two minutes passed where he basked in the silence of his own home. And then, in the last moment of the last minute, Alistein said one word that he thought best summed up what he was thinking during the walk home. It wasn't to anyone. It wasn't to him. It was just said for the sake of being said. At least, Alistein felt it was necessary. The word that was lingering within his own mind?

"Oh."

Tadashi

Tadashi

D-rank
He was happy with how his self-introduction went. Compared to the other ones he did throughout his life, that one was the best. He did stumble a bit, but that sort of thing is simply unavoidable for a boy like him. Not only that, his introduction seemed to be well received by his companions. At least, that's what Tadashi thought, seeing how there were no boos or tomatoes thrown at him. This feeling of satisfaction brought a smile to his face. All of the sudden, though, the short-lived smile disappeared from his face as Shika's whispered words crept their way through Tadashi's ears and down his spine. Tadashi's body shivered with an unrecognizable feeling—was it pleasure or fear?—as Shika spoke near his ear about how he taught Tadashi's clan leader, who could only be his idol Nanashi, a lesson or two after a fun night together.

With this, Tadashi could only picture his white-haired, muscular clan leader sitting behind a desk late at night as Shika stood ahead of him pointing to a blackboard with a ruler. What exactly did Shika teach Nanashi? Was a super secret technique? Or maybe an expert level formula that only legendary mathematicians could handle? A strategy that always worked? Maybe he would be able to teach Tadashi the same thing? Tadashi could only hope such a thing would happen, but with his luck, it probably never would. For some reason, the pedophile let out a nervous laugh, which only made Tadashi wonder what sort of innuendo was hidden within Shika's words. He just couldn't figure it out.

Suddenly, their sensei spoke to all of them, forcing Tadashi's concentration towards listening to them. He spoke about his affinity in genjutsu, which Tadashi wouldn't have a problem with learning at some point. It'd probably be pretty useful, with his frail body and all of his weakness. He also said he clearly wasn't a woman, which gave Tadashi quite a shock. He squinted his eyes and just looked at Shika, was he sure he wasn't a woman? Tadashi was pretty perceptive, but he just couldn't see the man in Shika. But if that's what Shika says, Tadashi has no point other than to believe him. Abruptly and without warning, the genins' first lesson began.

Shortly after Shika finished talking, blood began to gush from Hitoshi's nose, and Tadashi just looked at him with a look of concern but he was... smiling? What was going on inside of his head? Tadashi shot Shika a look for answers, but he only saw him touch the pedophile's face, causing the older man to fall backward. What was happening on this cliff? Tadashi tried to sort out the answers to his questions with his thoughts, only to have to interrupted by an uncomfortable feeling. The boy's body began to feel like he was just shut inside of an oven. His face quickly got drenched in sweat and his vision began to blur as the boy fell to his knees. As it felt as if he was in the middle of a long trek through a desert, Tadashi looked towards the sky, only to see that it didn't change at all. It felt like the sun was right next to him, but it was still hiding beyond the horizon. His senses were going haywire, and it felt like there was only one way to get rid of this heat. As much as Tadashi didn't want it, it was the only solution.

Tadashi quickly pulled his jacket off, letting out a gasp of air as the removal of a single layer brought the smallest amount of pleasure. The heat was still there, and the boy still felt as if he was literally on fire. He just needed more. Tadashi pulled his sweat-soaked shirt over his head, revealing his frail body to the world. Despite being revealed, a smile covered his face as the cool air swept over his fiery body. The boy's ribs would look like they would act as a xylophone if you hit them with mallets. It was quite pathetic, but at this moment, Tadashi didn't care about anything else but cooling his body. Even though he succeeded in doing this, the young boy just needed more. He quickly undid his belt and pulled his pants off of his body and onto the pile of clothes near him. He legs were just like the rest of him, skinny, pale, and pathetic. All of him (other than the important bits, of course) was shown to his new teammates, or at least, whoever was still there. Although it felt like it lasted decades, Tadashi's agony was shortlived. The cool morning air covered his body, ridding it of all of the heat that caused him so much pain, or at least most of it.

With his senses somewhat back to normal, the boy looked around only to find that his friends that he was with only moments ago were up and gone. That was, other than Shika, who stood near the railing looking at the sunrise. Was what Tadashi just went through the genjutsu he was talking about? Tadashi took a single step towards his sensei before he realized that he only had his tighty whities covering him. His face went red as he turned, gathered up his clothes, and ran back home. While he was running, though, a faint smile could be seen on his face. He wondered if this was what being in a squad actually feels like? Showing each other embarrassing parts of one's self? For some reason, this filled Tadashi with a strange happiness. Maybe it was like he actually found a place for himself? He could only dream.

Shigeki

Shigeki

Dead
There was a little thing about Genjutsu that Shigeki was always curious about. The way that the young Kanetsu was able to use such a specialization was to rewrite what someone's brain viewed as true, but the issue with certain things was that they would pull from parts of the mind that Shigeki couldn't necessarily directly influence. Since he had created this particular technique, Vision of Lust had always been one of his favorite jutsus, but also one that he wished the most he could actually see what it was the other person was seeing. There was the chance that it was because he was a bit of a pervert himself, wanting to see what it was that the other person was imagining, and often times curious if it was he whom the person was seeing was in fact himself. He generally assumed it was unless there was something said to confirm otherwise, which of course in this situation the young member of the Hattori clan said something interesting before his nose began to erupt with blood. Dragontale eh? Shigeki wasn't sure what he meant by that, but it was one of the more curious things that he had heard anyone under the effects of this jutsu say. Was he seeing a dragon? Maybe some kind of human dragon hybrid? Or perhaps he considered himself to be the dragon, which Shigeki thought was a little bit less likely than either of the other two options, considering that he was young and inexperienced. He was the first of the three to run off.

His other genjutsu were generally a little bit easier to know exactly what the person would experience, as most of them tricked sences that Shigeki had a bit more direct control over. When he looked towards Alistein, who started to ask something about the first student, and activated his jutsu on him it was far more clear what would happen. Shigeki's Fist of Love genjutsu was one that could do one of two things, though the second effect was his favorite. No matter how he hit someone with this particular jutsu, he knew that they would feel it for sure. It was meant to override the pain sensors of the target and cause them to feel immense pain upon being hit, as well as his chosen effect, which in this case was to send the older genin flying backwards. He could see the confusion on the man's face as he tried to stand and found himself unable to do so, Shigeki hearing him begin to form a question. He seemed quite shaken by the entire situation, as though he was having some kind of existential crisis or life changing realization about what he had just heard his sensei say. Shigeki watched him walk away, as though haunted by what he had just experienced, and it almost made him chuckle.

The third genjutsu he used was like a mixture of the first two, designed to completely unnerve an opponent and force them into an uncomfortable situation. It was one that overrode the touch sensors in the brain, making it feel as though the temperature around them had risen significantly. This,l of course, was a particular specialty of the Kanetsu clan, and it was something that seemed so simple to convert into a genjutsu technique that he simply had to do it. Tadashi watched his other two squadmates before Shigeki trapped him in the genjutsu and watched as it took effect. He could see the sweat forming on the boy and watched his eyes seem to glaze over as though the heat had been turned up to some kind of ridiculous level, Shigeki smirking once more. His words would come after this, watching the boy begin to ear off his jacket and shirt, revealing a small frame beneath them. Shigeki began to watch as he would tear off his pants as well, the pile of clothing sitting in a lump on the ground beside him. Shigeki turned his head away from the youngster, covering his face as he didn't want some kind of issue to arrise. This was a young student, and even though he was related to Nanashi, who was a man whom Shigeki had spent some time with romantically, it was still inappropriate for him to think of the boy in any kind of inappropriate way. He watched as he had gathered his clothes and ran away, the sunrise nearly finished as Shigeki watched the boy leave.

He had never believed that he would be a good sensei, nor did he particularly think that any kage would be foolish enough to give such a broken and deranged individual a squad of young genin to watch over, but of course that ended up being the case anyway. As he stood there overlooking the railing, his mind drifted ever so briefly to an image of the young Kanetsu throwing himself over the railing and the freedom that soaring towards the bottom would bring, to know what it was to fly before entering the welcoming embrace of death. He shook the all to familiar thoughts from his head, having found much to live for in recent times. If the new Tsuchikage thought that he was well suited to teach students, than he was going to ensure that those students knew what Genjutsu could do to a person, and knew especially that he wasn't someone to be trifled with. Shigeki started the long walk home, looking at the people around him, seeing the odd young child and wondering if they, too, may one day become shinobi whom he would be forced to train. This squad thing was new to him, and it wasn't something that he had quite figured out if he was going to be good at, but he was certainly going to give it his all, and if this one didn't go as well as he wanted it too, he would learn from his mistakes and fix them with the next group he was assigned in the future.

He walked into the slightly more rundown area of town, up to the apartment building that he had spent the past several years living in. He pulled out a pack of cigarettes, pulling one from the pack and putting it to his lips before reaching into his pocket to try to find a lighter that didn't appear to be there. He wondered if this was Kensei getting back at him for always "borrowing" his lighters and generally forgetting to give them back, something that he didn't mean to do but it happened fairly often. One thing that Kensei didn't seem to think of, however, was the fact that Shigeki was able to manipulate Katon chakra, creating a flame above the palm of his hand and lighting the cigarette on that, taking that first drag of smoke into his mouth and throat before allowing the flame to extinguish, blowing the smoke out and taking the next draw deep into his lungs. He stood outside the door, enjoying his cigarette and watching as the people mulled about their daily lives, not too many shinobi living in these parts to recognize him for what he was. He never wore a village headband, and honestly preferred it if people didn't know that he was a shinobi, as they then had no reason to fear him. He wondered what he was going to tell Kensei about his first day as a sensei. He was sure that no matter what he said, Kensei would be proud which was a feeling that always warmed Shigeki's fragile and many times broken heart, being one of few people alive who was able to have that effect on the damaged Kanetsu...
