Congratulations of making it this far. You are reaching the end of the Exams and thus, must compete for a spot in the finals. This round takes place in a slightly larger arena in order to give contestants greater leeway and make the competition more entertaining for spectators - most importantly the nobles of the area.

This new arena is located in the temple gardens and consists of a 50x50 meter square space. Trees are scattered throughout the edges and the ground itself is composed of mostly dirt and scattered rocks. 40 meter wall surrounds the edges and above them are the stands where hundreds have gathered to see the results of this fight.

Best of luck to both of you.

Fukai had been out of sorts ever since that run in a few days ago with Jet, his head was muddled even in the locker rooms behind the back of the stadium. The Iwagakurian genin's usual calm demeanor had been forsaken in light of the recent circumstance and had disrupted his focus on the Chuunin Exam challenge in front of him. He knew that this day was important yet he still had not managed to avert his attention from the storm below the horizon.

His supervisor, the veteran shinobi from the hidden rock Dano Kudaru noticed that his young charge was in a mood. He slapped the back of Fukai's head, cuffing his long silver hair. Get your head into gear, you're about to go out in front of the whole world. In light of the current situation, this little bit of contact agitated him greatly.
Don't fucking touch me. Fukai snarled as he spun and drew his staff, striking down against the elderly man. The air around him twisted as he let off chakra in his act of pure aggression. Kudaru anticipated the attack and grabbed the staff mid swing. He pulled his face right in front of the young man's.
Don't be throwing your chakra around back here, boy. You will need it for the fight. The purple eyed male knew that he spoke the truth and calmed himself down a tad. This was not the place to lose his head, he had to think about his village and his clan.

Kudaru released his grip on the staff and walked past the genin, back towards the stadium stairs. Fukai listened to him click his toung as he left. I knew it was a mistake to let someone like you represent my village. A shame, almost thought you were something special. The genin was cut by his departing words, and surprised that he had grown to care for the old man's opinion. It did however, expell the competitor's immediate anger. The little stone room was slowly filled by the sound of cheering crowds, carried to him via echo. Fukai closed his eyes, straightened his back and took a deep breath in. He felt every inch of his body respond to his mental check. He was physically one hundred percent ready even if his mind had been erratic. The dark void behind his eyelids soaked up the rest of his inhibitions and disspated them into the nothingness. Right therein that moment, Fukai made a promise to himself. Whatever happens in the future is for future me to deal with. I have to focus on the here and now, I will no longer let myself be distracted by what may occur. I will not let it inhibit my actions. With that resolution set, Fukai released his breath and opened his eyes. Without further worry or thought, he strode towards the light.

His grip tightened on the wooden staff in his left hand as he stepped down the hallway, soft leather shoes lightly scuffing the ground. The permeating din from the crowd increased as he came closer to the bright rectangle at the end of the path. The stone floor turned to dirt as he took his first step out into the open. The crowd above him grew silent as the large genin squinted up at the spectators. That first moment seemed drawn out like the flow of time had slowed to a trickle. He could make out only a few individual faces but most of the crowd was just a blended sea of people. To Fukai it felt like he was put in the spotlight in front of the whole world. Never before had he been in such a revealing situation. They were waiting for something, for him to do something but he could not give them what they wanted in terms of a show. His upbringing was that of the traditional shinobi: you get the job done. Being a spectacle had never been in his job description so he decided to focus on what he did best. And that was fight.

Lowering his head, he once again strode forwards, forgetting the sea of faces. The arena was fifty metres by fifty metres he had been told and the large stone walls that closed in around him stretched up to the sky. There were a few trees and rocks scattered around the edges of the pit and the central area was mostly a mix of dirt and a few patches of grass. In the middle stood a lone figure, who had been the referee of the previous rounds. Fukai walked towards him with calm confidence as a light wind fluttered the scarf that hung around his neck like a towel. The crowed had started up again once they saw the tall Iwagakurian that had trumped his previous foe without much worry. Their boisterous whoops and chants were nothing but background noise to Fukai now, even without seeing his opponent, the energised atmosphere was starting his descent into his mental zone. He stopped two metres short of the referee and acknowledged him with a head nod. Now they would wait until the other young man entered the arena to face him, a Kumogakure nin by the name of Elin. Fukai's purple dojutsu darkened under his heavy white brow.

BUILD UP

The time for revenge would soon be upon him, the man who had defeated his close friend Sakumi brutally in a crushing victory that left his crush crushed in the heat of battle. A fight unlike his which had ended in another controversy. From the surrender of the infamous Maigo who after managing to avoid and counter the high speed weapon controlling swift moving blade wielded with an ever engaging chain of twists with wire like a puppet upon strings as he flailed at invisible demons while his opponent seemed to be more confused, more cautious until he finally backed out of the fight surrendering without reason. As he wished to debate the results the arbiter gave him a look at the time that said he could do nothing about it and had to accept his victory as unclear or unsound as it was.

However as the battles raged on with a further defeat of Taede who was seeded low, had much promise but also fell in the first round to mysterious circumstance. It was then that the girls would battle it out as Riss and Kirisu both proceeded to the second round which would be the girl on girl fight that started this day off. However now they were the final fight before the finals, they were now the one's who held the fate of the end in their hands.

Fukai who had the look of a killer, at least in the eyes of Elin who believed him to be someone who deserved to face his best more then even Maigo. His opponent might not wield the sharingan or a multitude of genjutsu but at the very least his opponent had some skills with weapons and it would come down to the back up each of them would use in the fight. This was his revenge, this was the first chapter in a path that he may still come back from. Was he destined to become an avenger or would he rise up and become something more.

PREPARATION

It became apparent that as good as it was to have ranged weaponry, it would not be that ideal for him against an opponent who may use ranged techniques far faster then he can draw the bow.

So without a way to make the best of his bow he left it behind as he began to make his preparations. He began to sew five scrolls on the inside of the backpack in a location nearest to his back. This was all in preparation for his trump card which he had yet to release in this tournament.

The small boy then began to check the pockets of the shorts he would be wearing into this battle. He placed his three shuriken in the right pocket and his one ordinary kunai in his left pocket. He this time connected more than forty feet's worth of wire to his kusarigama which would allow him to use its full potential range if needed as he slotted it into his backpack. He then placed one metsubishi tied to the head of the kusarigama with one on each side of the flat end of the bladed head.

Elin then placed one metsubishi in his right pocket and another one in his left pocket. He then sealed a flash bomb into his left wrist bracelet and a smoke bomb in the right wrist bracelet. He had a metsubishi sealed in the back of the backpacks seal location. He then had metsubishi tied to the ends of both his wakizashi and katana. He placed another metsubishi inside his forehead protector before sealing the last two into his special kunai which he placed inside the backpack for later use. He then sealed Special kunai inside special kunai in a form of chain reaction as he now had just two left each with one sealed inside with one sealed inside that one with one sealed inside that one accounting for eight of them. It would allow him to use them without having too many kunai however he changed his mind as he split them again and made it six and placed them in the right and left side of the backpack. He then took the two remaining special kunai and used the one to tie up the small back portion of his hair utilising a bit of the remain wire. He then kept the last special kunai as he felt he would need to have at least one kunai battle ready.

Finally he slotted in his katana on the left and his wakizashi on the left side as he then felt he was nearly ready. He then fit on his goggles and brushed his hair just a little bit. It looked almost as if he had a small bun thanks to the kunai. His forehead protector also house the last ten needles which he never could find a use for other then as a distraction. He was now ready as he put on his backpack and made his way to the arena.

ENTRANCE

The home crowd made their presence felt as their one and only hope at becoming the two time reigning champions was here, the student of the forgotten white edge style and the next prodigal talent to rise up in some time. With Ameryuu having achieved her chuunin status early for various reasons he was all they had going in as the crowd cheered as the boy made his way to face his opponent as his goggles slid down over his eyes as he looked onwards towards his opponent. The crowd had cheered on Fukai's performance but now it was just a one-sided cheer for their homeboy. It was time for the ferocious Fukai to face the exciting Elin. While his performance was not as brutal, the spectacle was entertaining as short as it was.

The referee sighed as either way right now the crowd will probably get out of hand if things were not carefully officiated. As the boy stood there before the okay would be given he looked at Fukai with a glare as he thought to himself. 'You hurt my Sakumi, you jerk.'

The ring had a strange ambiance about it. The massive stone cylinder circulated small wind currents that warped the crowd noise, projecting an almost otherworldly feeling. The exam proctor to his left watched him silently as he waited for the second contestant. And there he was, a tiny boy, emerging from the tunnel on the opposite side of the arena. The crowd burst out into a roar of applause for their representative, the young shinobi that would have their backing until the end. He had watched the previous fight between this kid, who was not even two thirds of his height, and the Uchiha guy. An interesting boy for sure. Would he be able to beat Fukai? There was only one way to prove who was stronger and this was the way. The place where two individuals traveling down separate paths meet in a twist of circumstance.

A small plume of silver hair jutted from Fukai's Iwa forehead protector, the small metal plate that signified his home. He was the sole Hidden Rock nin in this year's chuunin exams, much like Elin was the sole Kumo nin. Yet they had still both made it to the semifinals, a place where they could be commended on their efforts win or lose. Fukai had seen the other two semifinalists also, a red haired Kiri girl and some dude with puppets. All of the three other semifinalists were shinobi of wit and skill rather than pure strength such as himself. He knew that this could prove troublesome as deception and hidden abilities often tipped an otherwise level playing field.

Fukai continued to stare as his opponent slowly made his way to the center of the ring. Fukai knew exactly how he was going to take on this battle, and that was just the same as all his other fights. A straight on duel without strategising or regard for on the ball decisions. The days of preparation were over, years of physical and mental conditioning in the ways of combat had lead him to this point, where he was far above any other genin he had met in terms of raw power. Where his chakra control lacked finesse, he made up for in explosive applications. Tied into the perfection of effortless bukijutsu technique and he was a breed above the rest. The road had been a long one, the type that tires the soul. Fortunately he had met people who invigorated him and reignited his greedy engine. He stood here as a young adult, older then most of the other genin entrants and he was well overdue for a challenge.

After all, isn't that what he had always wanted? As child, Fukai had reveled in the excitement of the tournaments hosted by his clan, being able to participate in them in a duel of skill was a nostalgic feeling. But somewhere along the line due to his past, he had forgotten that feeling. With no one strong enough to inspire him, his passion collapsed onto itself. At least the thought this was the case, he couldn't deny that rush of endorphins that the nameless Kiri shinobi had inspired in him.

Fukai stood face to face with his tiny opponent about five metres apart, the supervisor off to the side. Alright, we want a nice clean fight for the people. You know the rules, first one to be knocked out, concede or take damage beyond my liking loses and the winner moves on to the final round. Good luck to both of you. With those last words, the Kumo jounin hopped back a good distance so he would be out of the way. He then raised his arm in a signal to the other organisers. A booming voice echoed overhead like the word of a divine judge. Welcome to the quarterfinal match between Fukai Fantomusodo of Iwagakure no Sato and Elin Lane of Kumogakure no Sato. The small figures of people rose up in cheers that echoed off the stone walls and into the pit below. On my mark the match will commence. Fukai took one last deep breath, pumping his body full of oxygen. His fast twitch muscle tingled, his body was anticipating the trigger. On your marks, BEGIN! And then it began.

He started instantly and without warning, running at a pace that was below a sprint, he would cover the five metre distance between the two of them quickly. The old hard oak companion of his slid naturally into both hands. His grip on the weapon was light and coordinated like that of an expert painter and his brush and had the powerful swing of a veteran lumberjack behind it. He would then strike at the center of Elin's face with one end of the staff. While he ran, he poured a little chakra into the scarf that hung around his neck, prepping the substitution. A simple attack to start things off, while it was direct and required a reaction out of his opponent, his body position was such that he would be able to react to whatever his opponent threw at him.

As they stood the raging and furious feelings deep inside of the calm and some what calculating when it matters Elin. The only representative of the home village Kumogakure glaring down at his opponent as they were five feet apart. The only thought in his mind as his opponent did not seem to even notice him for some reason, or perhaps it was just all in his head.

The arbiter said that he wanted them to have a nice clean fight, as the boy thought to himself he would like to nicely and cleanly cut his opponent's head off without killing him. Knockout, concede or get hurt too badly. Where was this rule when Sakumi was writhing in pain. The arbiter jumped back as he gave the signal which during that same time the announcers gave the signal for them to begin as his objective was clear.

The fight began as he charged forward drawing his two blades simultaneously in order to cut away at his opponent. For some reason his opponent had the same idea in mind also charging towards him as they seemed to have similar styles which was to get in and find out what your opponent can do while going for a decisive blow at the same time. His opponent aimed a staff blow towards the centre of his face as he had did not need to change his plan at all as the blade in his right arm was swung at an angle from left to right diagonally to deflect the staff as he shifted his head to the left while keeping his left sword guarding face while thrusting it.

Upon impact his right sword katana would release the metsubishi that was placed on it earlier before the match which would blind his opponent. His opponent may back away but more then likely the weapons would clash and with this his opponent would most likely be blinded for a moment. During that moment he would thrust the piercing end of his wakizashi at close range towards Fukai's right eye. If his opponent chose to defend against these actions things could change but this was his objective from the start. Get close and remove those eyes which could not see him, those eyes which did not acknowledge his prowess.

Yes, this is what Fukai was looking for. The no holds barred, earnest clash between two bukijutsu specialists. His opponent must have the same confidence in his skill as Fukai did in his own, by looks of their mirrored charge. Elin would have watched his previous fight and would be expecting the bo staff attack but to run straight at him just as his previous foe had, took some confidence. Or was it overconfidence? Maybe an arrogance of sorts that did not respect Fukai's ability. He had not shown any jutsu in the previous round but had dropped his foe regardless. The kumo nin did not seem to shy away from this fact and was advancing anyways. Only the kid knew his own potential and maybe that is why he was confident. Could it be that he was infact a worthy adversary that could challenge Fukai even in range of his staff?

It would only be a fraction of a second after the start signal was called that the challengers would meet. Directly in the center of the large ring, they would greet each other with each strike. Fukai's purple reptilian esque eyes watched every little movement that the little blonde boy made. Drawing two blades from each side of his shoulder with little balls of something tied to the blades that he recognised from the previous round. Back when he was watching the match between Elin and Maigo with the rest of the Iwa entourage, he noticed the kid drop a little ball to the ground. It exploded and started to make his opponent recoil with shut eyes. He asked the others what that was, they informed him that it was a metsubishi. He recalled the word from his basics training from years ago. A projectile that contains various substances used to distract or inhibit the target's senses. Basically it was the ninja equivelant of kicking sand in someones eyes. After seeing it in action, he knew to avoid such a trick if he could.

Fukai had lifted his staff to about chest height which was about the same level as Elin's head, ready to strike at his face. In response, the boy was positioning his right blade across his body to defend and winding back his left arm for what looked like a counter attack. It was an interesting tactic, trying to fend off his blow with only one arm and Fukai realised it would be successful this time due to the fact that his initial attack was not one of full strength. It was a smart move for sure and one that he would have to actively seek to deconstruct. The little metsubishi balls were tied on to the blades and would burst on contact, Fukai knew he had to pull something out of the bag. His body knew exactly what he wanted to do, to make a big play and to rip the kid's stance apart. But as they neared with only a metre between them, his initial left handed strike was already locked in, he had no time to change. Instead, he chose to counter with his right.

As they neared, Fukai watched Elin's right armed blade come across to intercept his staff and his left arm ready for a thrust. The two weapons reached each other and the Iwa nin let rip with all the fury he could unleash. He forced fuuton chakra down through his staff and outwards, turning it into a raging wall of wind. The fuuton chakra coated the staff in a large shield of sorts. This jutsu stretched out .25 of a metre from the wood and would collide with the metsubishi on the blade near instantly. The deflection was halted and the paper ball exploded. Wild wind from Fukai's jutsu coupled with the high velocity strike would blow the contents back behind Elin and disperse it into the air. As this was happening, Fukai had already started the twist of the bo staff into a strike with the right hand.

Elin thrusted forward with his left blade but Fukai's long arms and increased length of his weapon would prevent it from reaching before Fukai could land his hit. With Elin's right arm out in front of him and his left arm extending out as well, Fukai spun his staff so that his right armed strike would smash the wall of fuuton into both the metsubishi on the other blade and the back of Elin's arm and wrist. The forceful contact would once again blow the metsubishi away and also fracture the little bones in his left hand and wrist, shocking the area into uselessness for a short period. The strike didn't stop there, he unleashed the wind to blow both of Elin's arms out across to the left side of his body which would spin him off balance so suddenly. Fukai knew that the surprise from unexpected roar of chakra and mitigation of Elin's deflection would probably disrupt him enough for the split second it took for this hit to land.

As soon as his action had finished he had already started on the next one. He spun the left portion of his staff into a strike that aimed for the corner that joined Elin's neck and left shoulder, smashing down on it with full force. The wind rod would smash down, and probably rip some tendons in his neck and shoulder. The knockback of the hit went directly down into the ground and would buckle his footing and send him into a heap. If this was to occur, Fukai would brandish the staff just above his foe. Fukai's eyes would tingle and a little excess water pool but the dispersed metsubishi contents would not be enough to affect his performance.

An exchange so swift and so quick that all the loud cheering of the crowd was silenced in what looked like an explosion of skill to begin this fight.

Having neared his opponent his original plan to deflect the staff off its original path was met with an interesting counter as wind enveloped the staff pushing his blade back closing his stance making it more compact as the impact made the metsubishi react and as the act of this action began to turn from an idea of fiction to a true fact.

While the explosion of dust did not last long it was in the air for a moment which probably hid the continuation of the small boys attack, using the force of his opponent's counter and placing his right foot as a pivot in his frontal whirlwind like rotation as his left sword which had original been meant to pierce those accursed eyes of the Sakumi Slayer. He had his body compact as he spun past his opponent with a side step left handed horizontal spinning slash to his opponent's side.

Upon doing so as soon as his left foot touched the ground he made a dash behind his opponent keeping his right blade up as a guard against any attacks from his opponent as he would make a distance of roughly ten meters between them if not chased down. Whether his opponent could defend against the small cut from his sword was yet to be seen as the dust rose up from the ground lightly as the crowd was still trying to grasp what had just happened.

The man attempted to knock the boy out with his staff, the boy evaded and aimed to deflect the strike in order to stab his opponent, the opponent them met his counter with the counter of a jutsu to not only deflect the deflection but to counteract the metsubishi before it could become a real hindrance and in the heat of the moment the boy used momentum to spin and land a horizontal slash to the man's side.

In the end dashing away to make room for his techniques as he would need space, if the man attacked he would counter but once he reached his location if it was safe he would prepare to use his technique as he would then switch stance by stabbing his swords next to him on each side into the ground as he would draw a special kunai in his left hand holding it up like a wing on his left side and kneel while getting his right hand palm held out towards his opponent. However it was unclear if his opponent would allow him to get to this stance, which was the battle stance he would use to face his new foe if given the chance

Oh and finally got how you were using the knockback, you used it on the dust cloud as it came up to prevent it from gathering around near your head area. But the technique requires contact so because my sword was already deflected normally I could not use your knockback against you lols... anyways good luck Fukai

The continuous movement of his staff, the quality of Fukai's particular style that allowed him to keep his motion continuous and often unhindered by his foe's actions. Like wind flowing through valleys and around mountains, the constant twisting and turning from offence to defense and back to offence held a particular rhythmic tempo. It was a quality that only the most coordinated and disciplined could achieve.

The memory of his learning of this particular style was a fond one. Back in his childhood days at the dojo, he wielded the wooden training swords in a barbaric fashion. Hacking and stabbing with wasted movement and energy, it was an ineffective mess. He remembered how his teacher had taken him to see the showmatch that was taking place that evening. The grey haired man with black crosses in his eyes pointed out the better fighter from round one. The champion that had been pointed out went on to fight with a grace that he had not seen before. It was complete fluidity. Fukai had not known that this sort of thing was possible before. He turned to his teacher and asked him what was he doing that the other guy wasn't. Watch carefully, see how his weapon never stops? See how it never switches it's path, only guides it to a new one? Every time is opponent stops his blade and starts to move it in another direction, there is a point in time where the weapon is at a standstill. It is not moving at all. This is where an opening lies, an opening that can only be seen by a talented few, and even less can take advantage of it. As if the great fighter wanted to make his point, he clashed swords once and then guided his blade past the other man's block. Instead of going with the flow, his opponent tried to switch direction to block it again. In that moment, the champion's sword snaked into the gap created by his tempo driven offence, making a shallow cut across his foe's chest. Little Fukai watched wide eyed as the crowd began to cheer.

The roar of chakra and the collision of Fukai's gale smash enhance and Elin's metsubishi flung the powder far into the air behind him. Even as the weapon touched the chakra, Fukai had already started to bring the right hand side of the staff across to intercept the anticipated left handed stab from Elin. Then he saw it. The small window of opportunity that was offered up to him in the thick of battle. The little boy was hesitating on his strike and taking power out of it. That is when he went for it. He would not give up this chance that the fruit of his previous labour had granted him. It was where Elin had stopped the initiation of his turn and thrust and started to rotate the opposite direction. He would go for it, unleashing pent up power.

He funneled more chakra into his weapon and unleashed it at the back of the right tip. From that moment where Fukai's and Elin's first strike happened, the Iwa genin would aggressively force chakra out the end of his weapon and send it flying into the boy. The large cylinder of air would take only one fortieth of a second after that initial touch to smash into the upper chest and neck of the small figure, clothes-lining him out of the blue. The impact would whiplash his body and take him off his feet, fracturing both shoulders and collarbones as well as heavily damaging his throat. The fuuton enhanced staff would follow the boy as he started to fly, only to smash back down into the center of the boy's torso, crashing the fuuton upon him after another fortieth of a second. This would slam him into the ground, causing great trauma on impact and sticking him between a rock and a hard place. The last blow would rain down on him after the last fortieth of a second, pummeling him for more rib fractures and organ damage.

The whole sequence took less then a tenth of a second, there would be no time to react. Elin was trying to rotate away but he would only be able to turn a very small amount before being caught. Fukai knew that as soon as that pivoting foot was planted and he had decided on his action that it was locked in. Elin's left arm would still be out to the side because of his change of mind as to it's purpose. He would not be able to get either weapon up in position to protect himself, not that the swords could stop the great dense bat that hurtled towards him. His legs would be locked into motion, beginning to try to spin away from Fukai, he wouldn't be able to move himself without the necessary time to react. Elin would be too preoccupied with the original activation of the fuuton chakra and his counter to do anything to defend in .025 of a second.

A completely unexpected barrage of blows that would leave his body broken and due to the damage of the throat and lungs, leave him with great breathing difficulties.

It was hard to understand how they got to this point, to the crowd time had barely even gone anywhere and other then those with insane perception levels or doujutsu users were able to see just how intense the first second of this enduring battle really was. This was not going to be a long fight would be the impression given to some, while others had been hoping for a long fight with all the previous forfeits killing part of the excitement of the event with some spectators actually falling asleep and feeling like they wasted their entire time coming to watch.

The training he had gained from the great Ameryuu left him with skills that made him more then just a wild sword wielding menace, or even a swordsman to begin with. For in truth he was a specialist at using any weapon with a bladed edge be it two swords, kunai, shuriken, or even basic items which were underestimated most of the time.

Long long ago in a time before he had even graduated from the academy he learnt from the monks who raised him, in his time with them he learnt a few things. The value of every item and the importance of every piece of the puzzle. He also learnt near the end another value, the ability for every item to change in how it works, feels, tastes, sounds and even appears. Thus change also affected importance since a glass that was round would be able to roll around while a glass that is square would never move when falling to its side. Even the greatest puzzle can appear far more brilliant as an incomplete canvas for one's imagination to run wild.

His opponent seemed to be watching out for his left arm almost as if to say he was expecting the boy to stab him with it being pointed directly towards his opponent and held close to his body. However the clash of the strange smash like fuuton bukijutsu and his right handed deflection knocked his blade causing his right arm to cross over. This altered his options but did not change his path which was a direct attack on Fukai. However Fukai was not stupid as the boy's pivotal movement was made with them close to half a meter away his opponent pulling back his staff in order to defend. With the wind like technique still active as he passed his opponent with a left handed slash that was released from its compact position having been close to his body during the entire exchange would lose him no momentum whatsoever.

Perhaps his opponent expected hesitation and if it had not been for the wind technique his follow through may have hit, his opponent however had triggered something the moment his foot planted for a brief time lightly to allow for a swift and smooth rotation, his opponent at that time began a technique as the weapon shifted away from him, his opponent had been preparing a hit while on the move. Him moving towards and passed his opponent left them with very little time, the boy activated his technique the moment his opponent's staff would move not counting the wind to the back that was quite a distance away as he charged his skill in his right blade as his opponents weapon moved swiftly at high speeds had it not been for his opponent moving what could easily have at least been five meters per second and him moving in the opposite direction at the same speed, however his opponent was just going to use the technique even with it being handicapped as he decided to respond in kind with his ultimate bukijutsu defensive technique.

White Edge Arts Defence was a move that his opponent did not get to see and that no one actually knew about. His blade did glow white during this time which must have been a spectacle for those who did not see the white edge arts in the previous battle. The blade flickered in a way that even his opponent would not have any time to react to his defence as the staff moved so swiftly as a small wave was released from his blade countering the technique and also knocking his opponent and weapon back ten meters creating some breathing room as the crowd began to cheer in excitement, had they been standing still that move would have probably been a sure hit.

He figured his opponent was attempting to catch him off guard as he held his blades firmly with his right handed sword between his eyes held horizontally and his left handed sword held in line with his stomach area as a small aura of chakra was emitted around him as he would prepare for any follow up his opponent may have to deal with the new situation. They were now ten meters away and the fight was now a mid ranged battle, it was unclear how his opponent would deal with the situation, but it did not matter cause the next technique he would use would bring an end to this fight, and bring forth the beginnings of the massacre. For he would soon avenge Sakumi against this monster who took him lightly and chose not to put more effort into his footwork in order to change the status quo.

Did his opponent think he could win with just the movements of his weapon alone, or that he was not even worth an added step in movement. Regardless of the reasons he did not like the idea that his opponent was not taking him seriously, or at least that was how it felt for the small blonde boy who had worked his way to the top of the academy, fell all the way back to the bottom and is now rising for the second time. He will not expect a third time and will not let his chance pass him by, a mere staff user going against a weapon master. This had to be a joke, for he was the light and hope of the Clouds. He was Sakumi's will and her only shot at redemption for her failure. He could not allow this, there could not be any genin stronger then her, he was the only one who could be allowed the power to defeat her.

There would also be five seconds in which the defence would keep emitting which meant unless his opponent had a counter they would be taking a break for five seconds in order to strategise, however that would depend on whether his opponent understood the truth of his technique.

Calling mod for assistance~

Edit:
So it seems that Elin wants to make this a public deal however I will not be sinking to this level, I think that whoever judges this will be able to make their own mind up and any more info that may be needed can be provided.

So you call for assistance instead of answering the one question I been asking all the time? And calling a mod in without speaking to me first is also rude

Some info that might be missing would be that his saying he has a wall of wind in front of him which does not make sense when his staff pointed outwards but he says its not but that a problem from post 5 then that he ignored just to point that out since that is an important factor since my post is based off him using a strike that thrusts towards my face with one end, but apparently he might have used something else which he has not confirmed for me after 20 pm's of asking him the position of his staff and him saying he is holding it like a bar which does not help me in the slightest since that is too vague for my English that is... We do not use the same English so he might be referring to a different bar to what my understanding dictates anyways... Will start sorting out pm's and so on if any information is needed

So it seems that Elin wants to make this a public deal however I will not be sinking to this level, I think that whoever judges this will be able to make their own mind up and any more info that may be needed can be provided.

Fukai, can you at least refrain from insulting me with that comment of sinking to a level since that is not the point. That comment already sinks to a level just by being said... Running to a mod all the time should not be a norm, but maybe it is only me that feels this way, especially since I feel we could have sorted this out ourselves...

The white concrete box echoed the shouts and hollers around inside the pit, Fukai's head was pounding from the blood rushing around his body. The air seemed thicker in this land, being so high up in the clouds, the atmospheric density pushing down on him felt fuzzy against his skin. The smell of spring pollen had left the air and been replaced all too quickly with the stench of sweat and blood. The inexpressible tension that had been building in his heart had been under the surface for a while now. Like the pressure of a magma current pushing against the earth's crust, Fukai had been suppressing his feelings, only to involuntarily burst out as he had done in the lead up to this match. It was a curious mixture of ingredients that made up his mental state. Anxiety for the future, uncertainty in himself and the weight of duty muddled his head in such a way that when he descended into his 'zone', what eventuated was more of a mad blur. His teacher had always talked of keeping a clear mind and this had always come naturally to him. But of cource, life had always been so simple. Not always good, but simple, one way or the other. The white noise that enveloped his brain broke with his thunderous discharge of chakra. Chakra, a power which came from his spirit, was affected by his state. He found himself in the arena, with a little blood drawn from the cut in his side.

Fukai looked up at the thronged mass above him. He lowered his staff and stopped his jutsus. What am I doing here? As if the violent tapping of his chakra had allowed him to break the surface. Fighting for my village? No, I am just a spectacle. This was not his life, or it wasn't, any longer. Maybe once upon a time, he would have dreamed of a stage such as this, but now he realised that he had no place here. Turning around, he saw the kid that he was supposed to be fighting, recovering from their last bout. The exam proctor was off to the side. After eyeing the jounin for a second, hesitating only briefly on his decision, Fukai uttered: I quit. Without a second glance back at his opponent, the Iwagakure genin strode towards the exit. Once the crowd began to realise that he was forefeitting, many rose to their feet in vocal protest. Fukai's purple eyes easily picked out Kudaru from the crowd as he marched away. This was because the old man was the only still person in the area, his lazy posture and belittling expression conveyed all too well the distaste he had for the genin. There was no surprise evident, while the other dignitaries from the land of stone yelled down to him, Kudaru seemed to expect no less of him.

Truth was, he was a fish out of water. A young man who had never been burdened with the type of responsibility that now lay on his shoulders. And with these new developments that he could not make sense of, he was going a little loopy. He could not recognise the man that stared back at him when he looked in the mirror, these trials had bent him like glowing iron under the hammer of a seasoned blacksmith. He had come to this land under the pretenses of representing his village and his clan to the utmost of his ability. Sorry Karumo, I'll have to let you down on this one. His friend would not hold this against him, that was not the kind of person he was. But that gave Fukai all the more reason to be harder on himself. He would do all he could to correct whatever adverse outcomes eventuated due to his actions. He at least owed that much.

He remembered how much he had wanted to travel back in the day, to see the world and experience all it had to offer. Now after tasting what it had to offer him, all he yearned for was his home town of Iwa.

Blood of mud and bone of stone, Fukai returns to his mountain home.

OOC: I am not enjoying this post so I am going to leave it here. I gave this thing a shot and am glad I did. I learned a lot and made it further than I thought I would at the start. Thanks to all the mods and those participating for a great event.
