It had been living hell inside the city, the heat of the flames, the burning cries of the people as they succumbed to Ameterasu's influence... if he had stayed in there he'd have died. It was strange having to come to terms with your own morality as buildings were burnt around you. It was horrific too, and right now he was just glad that none had gotten on him. It was a depressing sight as he looked back at the village... or rather where the ashes had been. There had been so much pride, so much love inside those walls. Now all that was gone. It was nothing but ashes. He had seen people trying to escape with their lives, but most of them had died. Even being touched by the flames was assured death. It was horrific.... you either lost your body or you lost your life. He'd seen people having to cut their own arms off because they'd been brushed by it. Why in god's name would anyone make a technique like that, let alone let it loose against an entire village of people? He sighed and clenched his fist. This village was filled with ghosts... he needed to leave.

Starting to walk away from the village, he forced himself not to look back. The only clue that he was part of Kirigakure would be his headband... his hitai-ite. He was still a proud ninja of Kirigakure, even if it was destroyed. Still... what was the point in being a protector of something that was destroyed. He sighed. There was just something about the way that everything had gone wrong so quickly that scarred him, both physically and mentally. He'd been cut on a piece of falling rock as he fled the city, and he knew that was going to scar. But worse was the damage it had done to his mind. Everyone he loved, everything he held dear was inside those walls. Hell, even part of him had been in there. The sword that he'd practised with since a child. It was gone, he'd seen it get touched with Amaterasu's flame, there's nothing, he knew, that could survive that. Now he was homeless, famililess, aimless, and weaponless. He was worse than a piece of trash, he was a bird that had had it's wings ripped off, a centipede without it's legs. He was a dog without it's bark, a cat without it's hiss. He had lost his reason to be, his reason for life and his love of the world... that meant only one thing. He needed fo find a new reason. The villagers needed to be avenged, and although he didn't know who did it, he knew that they would have had to be a missing-nin. No other village would want to kill so many people, if they attacked Kirigakure it would have been to enslave them, not to destroy them. With that in mind, it had to be someone without a country to fight for, who didn't care about bringing back glory and slaves for their masters. It was a missing-nin. Asari's hand clenched around the area his sword should have been. He swore upon everything left in this world left to love, he would destroy each and every last missing-nin in existence, and they would know exactly how it felt to have everything, and then have it ripped away from you. But first.... he had to go to his friend's house. He knew someone in Iwagakure that would take him in, and make sure that he could have a meeting with the Tsuchikage over his new place in the world. That would be his first goal.
