Akira had once more sent out word to his students that another lesson was in store. They were all to meet him at the great waterfall. Near a location called the hand of stone. Even now as he stood at the base of it. The morning dew still sparkling on the green grass nearby he thought it was certainly a sight to behold. He himself standing on top of a fairly large boulder. This time though he was not in his Karategi. No instead he was in his usual suit. Dark black pants with shined boots and a leather belt with his dagger tucked into the back. He had a silver button up shirt tucked in with a black tie buttoned into the buttons and a white vest with black shoulder straps over that. Finished up with an open button up thick coat. Also black in color and ending just above the knee's. It fluttered in the cold breeze cast off from where the waterfall endlessly smashed into the pool below. His hair swayed in that breeze but seemed to stay out of his yellow eyes as if he willed it to be so. Even in a suit standing there it was obvious he was not to be trifled with. One hand went up to stroke his forked beard as he eyed the sheer walls on either side of the waterfall before smiling in a mischievous way. It would do.

But he was not alone. Sitting at the base of the boulder were two young men who appeared to be meditating. Each sitting cross legged in black Shinobi outfits with Iwa headbands around their temples. Both young in nature but well built. Aside from their hair color though the two were almost identical. Their faces looking exactly the same. However one had black hair with a white streak and one hand white hair with a black streak. But they were only part of the days plan. Brothers as they were they were also part of a family of three. But the eldest was far less patient. She could be seen pacing back and forth in blue jeans and a black T shirt with skulls and Kunai designs on it. Snake bite piercings were on either side of her bottom lip and her nose had a nose ring. Combat boots with spikes on the toes and a pair of brass knuckles hung from her belt. Her hair was split down the middle black and white. The eldest sister of the family. Something about her aside from her demeanor stuck out in comparison to her calm little twin brothers. Some how she was obviously stronger.

They were not from any clan in particular that had any sort of kenkai genkai but their skills in taijutsu were impressive. Though Akira had given up on making the elder sister wear a headband all three were up for promotion. Two genin and a chunnin ready to become two chunnin and a special jounin. As a team they had taken down a number of bandits and violent criminals. They were famous as the wrecking ball trio. Kenri and Hidari were the twin brothers. Excellent in their own fields. Hidari was a kicker while Kenri was a boxer. Hōkō was the older sister and she was close to mastering Muay tai. All in all they had become famous for brutalizing their way through every obstacle. And Akira had offered them a chance to rank up. All they had to do was test his teams abilities on a playing field of his choice. For now they just needed to wait for his squad to show up.

Morning of Training Day

The sun shined brightly through Harichimo's bedroom window. He had be hard at work helping his parents with the clinic chores. He was washing away the dirt and grime from his hands when he heard a knocking outside his window. He looked to find a scroll sitting on the sill. He took and read it. Alright my first training session with squad one hopefully my skills can keep up with my teammates. He thought to himself. He changed into his red jacket, wrapped his arms in bandages, and tied back his hair. He said bye to his family and made his way down the road out of the village to the hand of stone. He had never visited the spot but he thought he could find it from what his sensai had written.

Present Time

Harichimo arrived at the hand of stone and was taken in by the sight of the huge waterfall. He listened to the power of it smashing into the pool below. After looking around he saw Akira in his suit standing beside a group of three people. Who are they and what does sensai have planned at this beautiful location? Harichimo took another look and didn't see any of his squad mates so he decided to walk to the group while he fixed and tightened the bandages on his arms.

As if Akira would allow an extended break. To think anything of the sort would be wishful at the least. The Chuunin had grown accustomed and quite fond of his teacher's tactics. I can't argue with results. Since becoming Akira's student Kurai had risen in the ranks and also had seen changes that couldn't be quantified. Before joining squad the young shinobi had accomplished many missions and had obtained a lot of experience but there was still a void that needed to be filled. Guidance. Kurai was sharp, intuitive, and cooperative, but before the leadership of the Tsuchikage he hadn't been able to combine all those qualities. Now, he could comfortably say he could. In the wake of another treat, Kurai laced himself in a sleeveless plain white shirt. Under his training his physique had become quite impressive and he was now more willing to put his arms on display. Thanks to the cool breeze of the morning, he felt inclined to wear his black leather pants. Then after slipping on  his red gloves he gentle placed his relic that bore an intricate amulet.

Greeting passers with a tip of his head and tap of his Iwagakure headband, Kurai was feeling at home in Takigakure. It was a lovely and urbane town that he hoped he could visit again. Right now though he couldn't entertain the villagers like he wanted as when it was time to train he focused little to nothing else. His destination was final. The Great Waterfall, near the Hand of Stone. He had briefly caught a glimpse of the area yesterday while he perused the village. Im almost there. He noted to himself as he could hear the river overflowing off the steep end of a cliff and rushing down. To his pleasure, there were many guests already present. Many new faces. I can never predict what Akira is planning. He grumbled internally, as he was starting to get frustrated with his sensei constantly getting the better of his foresight. The Uchiha prided himself on being able to predict and take into account multiple scenarios, but with Akira, he was constantly forced to think quickly and react solely in the moment. Pressure moments like those enthralled Kurai though, and at times, he is an even more effective strategist when pressed. However, his practical side would not allow him to say he preferred such situations even though deep within something about him craved the unknown. Despite his general caution, more specifically, he was cautious of becoming one dimensional or content. In turn, challenges were always genuinely welcomed, regardless of the outcome.

No longer able to restrain his excitement for the morning's event, he spoke up. "Hello everyone. I see many new faces. I am Han, Kurai." He immediately steered his eyes towards Akira, looking for an immediate explanation for the presence of the 4 people that were not of their squad. Two of the people were originally meditating, but their heads peaked at Kurai's introduction. From what Kurai could tell, the young boys were twins. Another of the 4 new faces was a girl that paced nearby the boulder Akira stood upon majestically. She had a few piercings and only snarled at Kurai and went back to pacing. She must be related to Yomi. Kurai joked to himself. She also seemed older than the two meditating twins. Lastly... there was a tall boy, he stood near the group of others. The twins seemed focused on something, a task is upon them that they feel they need supreme concentration for. The older female appears to be on edge, indicating that there is also something important about to happen for her. The taller one seems much more relaxed, not overly anxious or focused like the other two. For the twins and the pacing girl, whatever Akira has planned, it especially means a lot to them. Kurai had concluded that Akira was going to pit him and Yomi against these four, and for at least three of them, performing well was of the utmost importance.

The groaning and moaning of a dozen men sprawled across the floor was the only sound left to be heard in a tavern in downtown Takigakure, where at the bar, a young woman was leaning on the counter, drinking canned coffee and smiling quite menacingly. All the furniture inside the tavern had been broken, squashed crashed and smashed to bits and pieces, not a single glass, mirror or window was left in one piece. A scene which would immediately draw one to question what had exactly happened there.

"So boring," The woman at the counter sighed, gulping down the remaining coffee from the can and flicking it at the bartender's unconscious body behind the counter. "You bunch of morons…boasting that you would make me yours. Really, what a hassle."

Putting her hands in the pockets of her pants, Yomi remembered that she was supposed to go to the Hand of Stone; a large area on the outskirts of Takigakure, which the young woman remembered fondly as the place where she had a skirmish with some rather mad girl. While thinking about it, she rubbed her neck, which despite no longer having any signs of the burns she sustained thanks to the quite capable medical center of takigakure, still seemed to itch a bit.

Walking towards the exit of the bar, a hands suddenly grabbed her left ankle, followed by a cough and a moan. "I gotcha girly…you're mine to please…Urgh"

Pulling her leg out of the half-conscious man's grip, Yomi quickly stomped the man's face a few times with the heel of her boot, reducing his face to a bloody smeer of skin, teeth and bone…with probably the jelly of a popped-out eye as well, before leaving the bar and slamming the door shut behind her, which a split second later, broke off its hinges and crashed down on the floor.

"Let's hope Akira-sama has something more fun for me to do," The young woman sighed on her way to the destination of her master's choice. "Maybe cute Kurai's there as well."

Eventually arriving at the place she was meant to meet up with her team, she let out a hushed cough when tapping Kurai on the shoulder, at the same time eyeing at the other people that had gathered.

"Is this going to be fun Akira-sama?" The young woman asked, while leaning over the Uchiha's shoulder, first trying to bite his ear for a second. "Who's the kid and why is the terrible trio here?"

Akira watched as his students arrived in an order he had almost predicted. Though to admit he had assumed Kurai would of arrived first. The senior student of the group and all. He was also predictably honorable and someone to set an example. But to be honest the new kid arriving wasn't entirely unpredictable. He had assumed the boy would arrive second but it appeared he had underestimated the boys willingness and eagerness. Still being prompt was something he respected. He was eager to see what the new kid was capable of and to see if the boy could keep up. Unlike the other drop outs that had viewed his training as too extreme or too hard for them. Maybe the kid would welcome the challenge and be just as eager to step up to the plate. Kurai was still around because he understood he could grow under Akira and learn. As he had been doing so far. He had grown considerably both under Akira and on his own. An Uchiha by birth but gentle by nature. When Akira pushed him it revealed his potential. It was entertaining to observe to say the very least. And then came the final student.

Arguably the most brutal of the lot he had expected her to arrive last and was not disappointed. In all regards Yomi had the most up front and in your face potential of the lot. Even having started later the Kurai her ability towards violence had shown a good match up when facing Kurai before. She was dangerous in every way. She didn't care so much about rules and liked to taunt authority figures and most of all fight with the odds against her. But he liked her for that. In his own youth he had been short tempered and rather infamous. He would get in fights just because people said something rude to him and go overboard with them. He had been coerced into paying hospital bills more then once. Even now many years later he could feel his temper pulling at him. If anyone disrespected him to much he was likely to shatter bones. But even so he was still good to the people and he had learned to heal the damage he did. Saved a small fortune on hospital bills at least. But that aside the time was not for memories but for the task at hand.

Akira turned to the three he had invited for this task and nodded to them. The knew their tasks. And so the two boys rose to their feet and bowed their heads. Before looking to their sister and running off towards the cliff face to find a path off to the side to the top. The sister however saw Yomi arrive. She saw her basically flirting with her squad mate and scowled. She was all about the fight and another female there just seemed to challenge her specifically. Even though he had intended her to be a match for Kurai. Hōkō the girl brought up some spit before spitting at Yomi's feet and then sneering before she took off as well. Easily catching up to her brothers and rushing them along. Akira grinned at that hoping to see if it triggered Yomi's temper. Even as he spoke his voice was lined with humor. Hopping off the rock to descend like a majestic bird to land on the ground below without a sound. His words carried better to all three of them now that he was closer.

"I don't know. Do you think fighting them will entertain you? Ahh but first thing's first. Kurai, Yomi, This is your newest squad mate. Kurai you combine taijutsu and genjutsu as a distraction and timed hits. Yomi, Your skills with both bare hands and weapons are going to be what places you as the most dangerous combatant in a straight up fight. But the squad needed something still. Harichimo here is a taijutsu specialist and a medic. He is the difference between winning and losing a prolonged battle. So you must make sure he is safe. Treat him well. As for why you all here. I have brought you a challenge. Before you is a sheer cliff face. You must use supernatural walking practice to get to the top and I mean all three of you at the top. Those three will have the goal to get all three of you to the bottom. You are not disqualified until all three of you hit ground. Also just because you are on the ground does not mean you can not go back up the wall. Similarly just because you make it to the top does not mean you can not be knocked off. This will require team work. Kurai no B rank jutsu. Your opponents can not use jutsu and thus can not handle something of that rank just yet. Are there any questions before you all get to it?"

Yomi's eyes turned quickly towards the spit on the ground and the sneer on the other woman's face. A mad, sinister grin creeped upon the Yamada woman's face, before turning into a fullblown expression of pure madness, with her eyes riddled with veins on the brink of popping, her pupils narrowing, while she grabbed her coat with one hand, pulling it off in a single sweep and throwing it backwards.

"Interesting, interesting hahaha!!" Yomi laughed, while stretching out her arms, the sound of her voice carrying quite a drip of madness in it. "I'll take that sneer of you and shove it up your face again…chuunin-ona."

Turning around, her expression changed only a bit, when she realized Akira had come closer to the group and started explaining what was going to happen, as well as what he perceived to be their strengths and weaknesses and that their newest member was most likely the last thing they needed to complete themselves as a generally well balanced squad.

"I dont care about all of that," Yomi suddenly hissed, impossible to know if she was angry, excited or just plain mad…until she spoke up again. "I'm going to kill that woman, I'll pull that sneer off of her face."

Those words were no lie, Akira would've most likely sensed it before, but this time Yomi's mind flared up, revealing the killer intent she had at this point, a mixture boiling rage and rampant madness welling up inside her. Her muscles tensed and relaxed continuously whil she seemed to restrain herself from already launching herself towards those three other shin obi they were supposed to face in combat.

"How long are we going to stand around for?" Yomi scoffed angrily. "There's meat on tha menu ya know, minced meat after I'm done. I wanna have some fun."

Harichimo stood by his new squad mates and just observed the group by the waterfall as Akira was explaining the exercise careful to make sure Akira knew he was listening. He has heard of the trio way back during his academy days. He gave a small smile. He thought in his mind that he would be able to easily keep up with the boxing brother with his own speed and tempest style.

Then he gave a look over of his squad mates. Yomi seemed to be just full of vinegar and headstrong qualities. She seems like she could easily snap the other girl on half if she got her hands on her. And Kurai seemed a little shady at first impression. Harichimo had little understanding of genjutsu or even what kind of tricks Kurai was capable of.  .Being the medic for these two is going to be an interesting job He thought.

As Yomi had her fit, Harichimo took off his coat and laid it on the ground. He grabbed the loose ends of his bandages and re-tightened them keeping his smile and giving a glare to the boxing brother. He knew they where going to test how much his father and the academy had taught him. He got the last wrap around as Yomi finished speaking and clenched his fists making sure they were tight. He saw the rocks all around and knew if they got as high as Akira wanted them to go, there would be a risk for serious injury if they didn't catch one another. He hesitated a bit but reminded himself that his new sensai thought he would up to the task so he couldn't let him down. He took a final breath to clear his mind.

Well I'm ready for whatever these guys can throw at us. And Yomi here seems to have the fighting spirit as well. How about you Kurai?

Yomi had graced the squad with her rambunctious presence. He enjoyed her rowdiness. She leaned onto him, her own unique way greeting. Unable to stifle her animal instincts, from Kurai's peripheral he saw her trying to bite his ear. He avoided with quick subtle head movements, and shot a smile at her. "Business first."

It was announced that the taller of the boys was a new member to their squad and he was a medic. The last piece to the puzzle. Kurai was looking forward to this. Once again, new elements provided new experiences. New experiences provided new strategies. And for Kurai, increased experience and strategy meant increased strength. The task was to get to the top of the cliff, and do battle against the terrible trio as Yomi called them. If every member hit the ground, then they would lose. Kurai was sure he understood his sensei. "Just because you fall, doesn't mean you can't climb back to the top." That meant, though you hit the ground and you get back to the top, if your other teammates hit the ground, you still lose. Teamwork was certainly important.

The opposing girl had already riled up Yomi, and as usual she was not interested in planning. It was then Kurai's job to reel her in. Before so, he would answer Harichimo. "Haha, I do as well. I just show it differently." Kurai then spoke to the squad briefly. "Yomi, I'll back you up and relay any helpful details to you that I observe. Harichimo, you stay close to me. As the medic, you are the most important to our survival. Be mindful of your footing up there too, this isn't your normal setting. Alright, let's go!"

Kurai was most weary of the fact that the trio knew of this task. It meant they were prepared. Kurai knew how vital preparation was, and going up against an enemy who had that advantage was daunting to him. He was confident in his ability to adapt and Yomi's destructive prowess though. He couldn't say much about Harichimo, but that wouldn't be the case for long. Today was going to be his chance to show what he could do.

Akira watched each of them with growing interest. As he had hoped Yomi was getting fired up. He hoped to see if she could control that anger and utilize it. Or if it would send her spiraling into her and her teams downfall. She was deliciously violent but that was only truly well served when on your own. Truth be told now she had people who would be relying on her. Could she set aside an opportunity to gain victory if it meant saving her team mate? There was a chance his whole squad could get wiped here. Not dead of course. With Akira around everyone here would leave with all their bones and flesh completely intact regardless of what happened. That aside these were also fellow countrymen. Regardless of the competition he hoped that Yomi didn't actually intend to kill them. He might have difficulty training he in techniques if she was unable to control her urges.

The new arrival. Harichimo was his name. He seemed a little less lively but he had just arrivedf so that was to be expected. Still if anything he wasn't daunted by all of it either. He showed some promise at least in the way of being capable of keeping up. Those bandages around his fists were tied in a way that suggested this wasn't his first day training. Not to mention the way he was eager to be a part of the team could build good relations with them all. Especially Kurai if the boy remained as calm and centered as he appeared. But that was required in a field med nin. Remaining calm during any scenario was crucial to the point of saving lives. If anything this boy could be the difference between life and death for his squad should Akira become preoccupied. He wondered to himself if he should keep up on the boys healing skills as well as taijutsu. After all the boy was closest to Akira in combat abilities.

Still his yellow gaze turned towards Kurai as he took the lead. He was positioning Yomi at the head of the assault. She wasn't perhaps as capable as Kurai from what he had witnessed in the dojo but her energy and aggression could make up for that. Kurai himself was staying behind as the guard to the medic and to utilize his superior vision for call outs. Akira decided he could understand that course of action. With Kurai capable of deception with genjutsu it made sense that he would choose to position himself next to the newest and perhaps currently weakest link. Yet he also realized even if that link was still not as strong it had a very important rule. Akira Smirked as he watched all this before nodding. It was then that he spoke up. His voice filled with mirth at all of it.

"Aye you all know your roles. I won't keep you from it any longer. Supernatural walking practice will be your ally here. But while using it you only have so long with your chakra reserves. Blasting jutsu will lessen that time. That aside if you try and jump gravity will take over and you won't be falling back towards the wall. You will be falling towards the ground. The easy target to go for here is your feet so be on the guard for that. With that said. Take them down."

With that he seemed to step side ways as golden chakra burst from the side of his body. In a split second he was moving at twenty five meters per second for ten meters before he came out of it and slammed his feet to the ground. A boulder under the cliffs was nearby so he settled on top of it and crossed his legs. Focusing his chakra within himself into a little ball. Practicing feeling them instead of just watching them. His sensory technique being used for the first time.

For a moment, Yomi looked at the place they were supposed to be duking it out against these three members from another squad. Noticing that Kurai had obviously decided she'd be the spearhead of this team, the young woman chuckled a bit, though she couldn't resist to look at Kurai first, how much she wanted him to see when he would go delightfully mad like she always went down the rabbithole when she was in the heat of something interesting like a test of strength. A similar glance was directed at the squad's leader and Tsuchikage Akira, who she just as well wanted to fight rather soon, even if it was just for fun, she thought he could give her all the excitement she needed to forget her dreary and quite frankly, boring everyday life in Iwagakure.

"So basically, I'm supposed to be the one disrupting their teamwork and their attempts to blow us off that cliff?" Yomi inquired from Kurai, though not really expecting him to do anything but nod diligently, something she reckoned to be quite normal for the selfproclaimed poet-shinobi. "Allright, got'cha…Let's give em something to work with."

Checking the ledge of the large cliff they were about to scale, the Yamada woman simply smiled for a moment, before jumping upwards, channeling her chakra to and through her feet into the jagged rock surface, quickly finding herself some decent footing. Just for the sake of being a teamplayer, she checked if Kurai and the newbie had gotten on the cliff as well, after which she rushed off to meet her challenge.

"Hey terrible trio!" She yelled out, while clenching her hands into fists, trying to taunt the other gang into making their move as well. Deciding she would go straight for the other team's annoying girl. "You there, wanna try sneering at me again, you uppity hag."

Harichimo

Harichimo

Harichimo could tell from Kurai's response that he was the much more sensible of his two squad mates. Calm and collected as well as focused on the task ahead. He would be the one to listen to when the sparring reaches the heated points. And as soon as the thought passed his ears he heard the first bit of wise information from his elder member. "I'll be right by your sides. This will certainly be a big difference on a sheer cliff from the academy training walls, but as long as we play it safe we should be able to succeed."

He looked to his sensai as he shared his last bit of advice before disappearing into a ball of light and away from the group. Harichimo knew that his words rang true. He would constantly have to have the supernatural walking practice up the whole time and wouldn't be able to use many of his medical techniques without risking falling down the wall. Hopefully he could stick to the taijutsu techniques he was well versed with and not have to use any of his chakra to heal or hinder anyone. But a medic can't be a chooser in the heat of battle so he will be prepared for the worst.

Harichimo took a breath to clear his head and stood focused on the twin brothers who would most likely be the two he and Kurai would be troubled with the most. As he watched, Yomi had given her two cents to Kurai as the team's brute force. Harichimo had no clue what she was capable of and wasn't in hurry to get on her bad side. He watched as she already had a swift jump at the cliff side and was inviting the team along.

Harichimo jogged up to the cliff side and made a leap landing half way between Yomi and the ground. He immediately had to adjust his chakra output near his feet to get the footing he desired for this uneven rocky surface. "I got your back Yomi, just don't get in too deep and I'll be able to give you a helping hand." .He put up his arms in a defensive stance keeping an eye on the brothers and waiting for Kurai to join on the wall.

Kurai took off towards cliff, running by Harichimo's side. His gaze drifted upwards and saw that Yomi was way ahead. Both the medic and Kurai leaped for the wall and concentrated chakra in the soles of their feet. "Let's get up there to back up Yomi." They rushed up. Kurai sped up, breaking pace with Harichimo. He wanted to get to the top first and give it a quick scan. Once he edged over the top he shouted out to Yomi who was in the middle of a face off. "Don't hold back. I'll be right behind you." The medic was now atop the cliff too. He glanced over,  "We'll take on the twins. Stay close." Kurai drew three senbon. "Yomi duck!" Kurai took a few speedy steps forward before launching  senbon to each member of the trio. At the release Kurai attached chakra strings to them to allow him to retain control of the senbon in case they were dodged deflected or blocked. "You guys follow up, alright!" Kurai would hassle all three of the opponents with the senbon while Yomi and Harichimo would attempt to capitalize.

The battle was now officially underway. Kurai was eager to see how they would work as a team. Yomi was just as eager, but he assumed not for the same reason. As he waited to engage his opponent once Harichimo and Yomi took advantage of Kurai's impromptu diversion, Kurai also kept his eyes on the development of Yomi's inevitable clash. Kurai had many tricks that would make knocking his opponents off the cliff an easy task. But this training session was not about whether or Kurai could break his opponents down, it was about could they excel as a team. Hopefully his diversion would aid Yomi and Harichimo in getting an advantage. Kurai would manipulate the three senbon from a distance before he would join the battle. What would come next would be crucial. It would be the first sign of their opponent's ability, and it would give the squad an opportunity to form more concise plans to dismantling them based on how they responded.

Akira smiled as his students eagerly charged straight up the cliff. Kurai was calling out orders and preforming a ranged support tactic with Senbon. He had the most chakra so it made sense for him to be ready to spare a little bit more then the others. Still it was nice to see them slip into moving as a team so effectively. But this was not the last surprise of the fight. The enemy team had a couple of surprises planned with Akira's approval and time to prepare before hand. This was a scenario for his students to train at. Even if they failed he wouldn't blame them. This was a simulation for going against an equal or even slightly superior force with terrain advantage and defenses already placed. And so that was what Akira had set up. He grinned as his yellow eyes shined. Team one was in for the fight of their career so far. Training with Akira was no simple task.

As the team charged up they made it about ten meters before the enemy team came launching off the top of the cliff. Not running down it but launching out. But something was wrong. They weren't holding themselves close with chakra. Each of them had three cables connected to a belt around their waists. They were connected to the cliff top by cables! Akira grinned at that little surprise. It wasn't against the rules to use tools. But this was not the most violent surprise of this rhythm. The girl and her brothers all concentrated a hit on one spot on the cliff face. Knocking away the loose dirt and rocks there. With that hit they let Rocks and head sized clods of dirt fall with gravity in mass towards the squad. The small avalanche blocking the Senbon as it descended towards team one.

The two genin however raced after the avalanche eager to get passed Yomi. Using it as cover to try and slip passed her and engage Kurai and Harichimo from both the left and right at once. Regardless of what happened to her brothers the girl smashed through a particularly large clod of dirt straight for Yomi. "Bring it you little bitch!" She shouted with wild eyes as she swung out her leg trying to knee Yomi in the face at full strength.

Akira on the other hand remained underneath watching. Anything that got close to him from the small avalanche hit a small layer of shining golden chakra and was wiped out. He didn't even bother moving as dirt clods and rocks alike were eradicated as they neared him. He was too interested in watching his prize team to really pay it much more mind then a small fraction of his chakra.

The young woman ducked slightly when Kurai's skillfully thrown senbon passed over her, but they didn't get far, as an avalanche of dust and debris came rumbling down the cliff. The other team had been using their tools to scale the cliff, which all in all wasn't a bad move. They had the advantage in both chakra consumption and knowledge and use of the terrain this way, but even with her not so team-spirit aimed mentality, Yomi knew that even if there was the slight chance that team one could lose this session, it would not be because of their cohesion.

In a way, she started to see the benefits of Akira's former strict training session and the fact she also had some roughing up with Kurai before. The two of them already had insight on how they were fighting and the new addition to their team: Harichimo, actually seemed to take his medic status very clearly, falling behind kurai, but not losing pace in case he was needed on the offensive. However, her pondering about the team's status wasn't lasting long, being cut short by the avalanche, which she could only avoid being hit by thanks to the woman of the other team crashing through a large piece of dust and dirt, aiming her knee straight towards Yomi's face.

Halting as fast as she could, while raising her hands to simultaniously form a shield in front of her face with her fingers outstretched on each hand to weaken the impact, the Yamada woman could feel herself grinding back a few inches into the rock surface. That chuunin's knee strike held a really hard punch to it, which Yomi most certainly felt in her hands, forearms and elbows, which really did strain under the impact.

"Oh look, the bait worked!!" Yomi yelled out, more or less making it sound like an insult, but she knew that Kurai had understood her claim to take on the chuunin girl, after all this was no longer just a fight or a training in that regard, but a clash of principles. With her exclaiming she had found her mark, Kurai would know that he had to focus on the other two. "It'll take more than this to get me off my track, ya know"

While she was at it, the young woman was already trying to find a decent strategy, deciding that her unusual and rather rare fighting style would be of great benefit against those who seemed to display the more basic kinds of taijutsu techniques thought by local masters. Using her rather impressive leg strength, Yomi hopen to unbalance and surprise her opponent for only the shortest of times, by kicking her left leg off the rock surface, increasing the speed of her rising knee, which she hoped to plant right against the chuunin's chin, followed by both her hands jabbing simultaniously into the diraction just underneath the chuunin girl's ribcage, which if successful, would've blown not only the air, but in some cases the fight itself out of the opponent's body.

Harichimo watched as Kurai had let the senbons fly up the cliff towards the trio. He kept his eyes on the twins to see what they would do. He saw they were using belts and cables to keep themselves up high and lessen whatever chakra they would have to use up. Very clever on their end and a great challenge for the squad to learn to deal with unfair and surprise encounters.

Harichimo thought that the cables would limit what the trio could do but that was a rookie mistake when the trio sent the avalanche down the cliff. A rush of rocks and dirt rained down on his team as he watched Yomi absorb a kick from the chunnin girl and get sent back a couple feet. As the avalanche had gotten past Yomi, Harichimo had lost sight of the twins.

Harichimo put his arms up to try and block his face from the oncoming rocks  and trying to get a line of sight on the twins again. He strafed back and forth to try to avoid taking head on damage from the falling rocks, testing how much Harichimo could take in at one time, and as the last of the debris went past he could make out the shape of one of the rival squad coming down the cliff on his and Kurai's left.

Harichimo put down his guard and focused on the twin he could see. He reached into his pockets grabbing a senbon and kunai. "Kurai can you see the other one?" Harichimo asked as he let the sendon and the kunai fly towards the brother he could see the senbon flew directly at him while he sent the kunai and a couple feet up in the path of the cable hoping to disrupt whatever strategy they had planned and test how strong the cable would be if it could take a kunai through it.

The senbon whizzed upward for the trio. With intents of setting up a more devastating combo. The preemptive strike was met with a savvy counter that had been prepped before the start of the fight. This was exactly Kurai's main concern going into this fight. His opponents having the advantage of preparation. The challenge has started. Kurai said to himself as the trio scaled the side of the cliff, using cables for support. It was a smart addition to one's repertoire given the setting. The opposition then induced an avalanche that came roaring down the cliff for Squad one. Debris and rock came falling.

Kurai's eyes burned from the dust. They were basically implementing a similar tactic to Kurai's initial move. A distraction. A much more powerful one. It was clear that they were going to mount an offense under the cover of the mass disruption they caused atop the cliff. Kurai figured that much so activated his second tomoe sharignan to allow him to see through the dust and give him an edge in perception. Kurai took the time under the cover perform a transformation. Since his vision of his enemy was obscured, he would take the chance that at least at the moment he used the transformation they couldn't see him either. Once he used the jutsu, turning himself into a small boulder, Harichimo called out to him, asking if he could see the opposition. No Harichimo, that is SURE to give our position away. It was important for a team to use the opponents moves against them. Earlier, the field was clear, hiding was futile. But now, the enemy had introduced a fine wrinkle into the engagement, and they had to make the most of it. Kurai didn't answer. Instead, he hid in the dust that was starting to clear. He could see off to his left clearly now that his eye powers was active. He saw the medic draw a few tools. He proceeded to launch the tools. Good job. Kurai complemented him internally. He was important to stay active in combat.

It appeared that one of the twin was approaching Kurai. Up ahead, a squabble between Yomi and the older girl broke out. Now the fun starts. Now that his opponent was within range, one or two things were bound to happen. 1)Either his disguise would be seen through... though Kurai thought it to be unlikely since the opponent was around the same level as them. 2)He would be puzzled, finding no one in the vicinity. In that moment of confusion, Kurai would use his speed and timing to attack the opponent with a strong kick to send him off the cliff. If the cable was exposed he would attempted to weaken or break it with a kunai.

Akira watched with some fascination at how both teams were handling themselves. The tactic with the avalanche was a good trick but it Wasn't followed through well enough. Had they followed through then that cliff side would of been ringing with the power of a chakra reinforced knee to Yomi and the boys would of actually hidden themselves better to attack at the same time. But he was aware that the three of them barely had any chakra control. Not like his team. They were fast for their ranks and strong. But they lacked that extra oomph that came with chakra behind your punch. That was likely going to be their downfall. They could still use supernatural walking practice but without that jutsu back up it was going to be a short battle unless his team didn't time their own abilities well. Jutsu would likely be just as important as tactics here. Still he watched his teams reaction.

Yomi was going for an interesting hands on fighting approach against the strongest member of the group. She managed to block the attack coming at her before attempting a knee and a double palm attack of her own. But that was being met as well with greater force. The girl she was facing was too powerful to challenge blow for blow. Her elbow came up to block the knee as she braced her feet. She braced herself against Yomi's blow and tanked it. Grinning as she did so with a wild look. Her endurance and strength were to high to deal with without at least using some equalizer. Akira frowned as he though Yomi would of known this. Instead that girl launched forward to try and drive her forehead into Yomi's nose.

The new member of the team Harichimo was actually fairly observant. He was trying to communicate while preparing himself. Not only that he was seeking to take away the advantage of the enemy. Aiming for the ropes and the boy at the same time. It was a good tactic but the boy saw the attack heading for him. The senbon however was hidden in the debree and stuck into the boys chest and buried there. However he pressed off the wall recognizing the rope as a target and moved it with a leap to avoid the Kunai. Kurai had hidden himself with a transformation jutsu and actually managed to catch his target off guard. Slamming him with a powerful kick and cutting his rope. The boy facing Kurai's attack wasn't fast enough to react and was sent sailing out. Still his twin caught him out in the air and grabbed him by the wrist before swinging him back around and with the momentum of the throw he sent his brother upwards. The kicker aiming a powerful kick at the back of Yomi's legs while the boxer came soaring back with a flurry of blows aimed at Kurai with Kurai placed between him and Harichimo. Rapid fists aimed for the jaw in a straight jab and the gut with right hook.

Having lost sight of her two other squadmates, Yomi knew she had to hold the chuunin for as long as she could, but to her surprise this girl was as fast and as strong as she was, no even stronger and faster, something which the young Yamada woman had to experience to her own disgrace, when her knee strike was easily blocked by a single elbow and her double palm strike which she used in order to create a bit of distance simply resulted in the chuunin taking it with a grin on her face when tensing all her muscles. However, Yomi wasn't the person to be set back by difference in power, not a difference like this at least.

A smile crept on her face as well, as she was actually becoming to like this test, the tension, the action…it all simply fueled her madness.

The headbut to her nose was avoided only slightly, by bucking a bit forward, resulting in both their heads clashing against one another, but Yomi's disadvantage was doubled in that case, for she wore no forehead protector. With blood trickling down her head, the young woman lost her footing and started to slide backwards, yet when she wanted to see how far down she could fall, she noticed one half of the twin coming into her direction, probably thrown up somehow as he wasn't even touching the cliff.

"Gotta go," Yomi grinned, while launching herself towards the guy with her newest jutsu, one that would show that she had indeed learned a thing or two during her last fight with Kurai. By slamming her left foot against the cliff, she forced herself into a circular motion while rapidly making a set of hand seals, coating her legs with jagged crystals, as she dropped down like a drill at high speed towards the incoming twin. "Crystal release-Dread drill!!"

She aimed to use bother her speed and his momentum to make the impact as painful as possible, hoping to drive him all the way down to the ground and incapacitate him, after all, she could simply climb back up and three against two was certainly a better favor than three against three.

Harichimo kept his eyes on his target as his tool went flying. He didn't hear if Kurai had responded or not. But he couldn't be bothered since he had a fight of his own. He hoped Kurai knew what he was doing if the other twin had gotten to him. He watched as his tools reached the target as the kunai had missed but the senbon had hit home. Even if it's not the one I intended to hit its mark, I'll take what advantage I can get He watched the boy jump away from the cliff face and swing around the team. Harichimo kept his watch on him as the boy had saved his squad mate from falling. Harichimo looked and saw Kurai in a puff of smoke and a piece of rope in hand. Using the opponent's strategy against them.  Is that what the genjutsu style is all about? he thought to himself.

He lost sight after the twins swung back up the cliff. He got back sight of Yomi who was locked in combat with the girl. She is really taking a beating. He looked out the corner of his eye and saw the roped twin coming at her from the side. She won't stand a chance. He sprinted up the cliff face try and turn the tide in the favor of his squad mate.

As he came running he saw Yomi fall back a bit and a little blood was trickling down her face. We are going to have to end this soon. I don't know how severe that cut is. As he reached halfway Yomi had taken off in the direction of the brother and her leg was coated in crystals from her jutsu. Well I better do my part and keep the girl off of her. Harichimo made a final sprint and focused his chakra into a final bound towards the girl with his right leg drawn behind him he hoped to capitalize on what damage Yomi had done with a kick to the girl's head.

Harichimo was doing well and as Kurai had ambushed his opponent he had taken off to support an outmatched Yomi. This is not good, she's already been wounded, prompting the aid of the medic. Kurai's kick had sent his opponent flying off the cliff, but his twin leaped out, retrieved and threw in back in the fray. He was shot right back at Kurai. The other twin went after Yomi. Too much was going on to keep track of everything. Harichimo, the medic had thrown himself in direct combat, not really having a choice since Yomi was being double teamed. His main focus had to be the cannonball boxer.

Kurai eyed him down as he charged from above. Forming the rat seal, he grinned. A combo landed on a virtual Kurai. He was going from a jab and hook to the body, which he would think was successful. While he landed his phantom punches Kurai had side stepped, and once the opponent landed, he plunged a senbon through the attacker's foot. Kurai had dropped to the ground to deliver the senbon with as much force as possible. His goal was to make using the supernatural walking as well as footing in general very difficult. Immediately after the strike, assuming the Genjutsu and strike was successful, he would once again deliver a powerful kick, this time to the ribs. Spiraling up after the stab to uncoil a devastating boot to the rib cage. The boxer's rope was gone and would have no way of not hitting the ground several meters below. If his strike landed he would survey the area to see if anyone would try and save him a second time. If so, and their method was to jump for him again, Kurai would summon forth three earthen kunai using projectile creation and cut the second party's cable as well as aim the other two to do physical damage on both.

I have to back up Yomi and Harichimo. Going against this trio has made that a much more difficult task than I expected. Taking out the boxer though is a start. Hopefully he stays down.

Akira watched as the squad preformed adequately. If anything it was a close game for the time being. He could still feel how Kurai had the most chakra out of the lot of them. But it was a fairly bad match up for Yomi at the rate the girls were exchanging blows. In any other situation it might be kind of hot watching the two of them duking it out. But Yomi was taking damage and being pushed back steadily. They were closer to the bottom then the top. He wondered just how his team intended to turn it around. Still it was Yomi who made the first move. He watched Yomi launch off the side of the cliff and spin with some considerable force. It was certainly a nice jutsu for a genin. Still against another genin it would serve its purpose. He watched as the kicker tried to cross his arms at the point of impact but it did little to stop the damage. He hadn't promoted this team because they didn't have any jutsu to handle those situations. There was only so much pure physical ability could handle. Still as Yomi drove into him and blood went splattering in every direction she was now earth bound with the boy for several meters. Akira was curious to see how she intended to break her fall. One hand raised to stroke his beard as he noted the boy she hit was obviously out. His injuries would prevent him from being able to climb back up before the fall would even take its toll. Likely breaking the boys back and possibly a few more bones. Nothing Akira couldn't heal a little later. The kid wouldn't die from it after all for a minute or two.

Kurai on the other hand had done the predictable thing. He had tossed in the genjutsu which put out a fake him to the enemy. While it did give him an opening he was once more frowning over the lack of effort into exploiting that opening. The simple strike to a taijutsu users ribs would hardly be enough without Kurai using his full potential. He was barely stronger then the genin. Still the genin took the hit and grit his teeth. As Kurai fired the three kunai jutsu the boy gripped the wall as his rope was cut. Quickly he slammed his feet against the wall and activated supernatural walking practice. It wasn't much but they had managed to master academy jutsu it seemed. But the guy was already on top of Kurai. His arms in close to defend as he threw out a fast right jab at Kurai's eye. However Kurai was doing one thing more Akira was curious of. He had launched the other two Kunai at enemies his team was fighting with no heads up. And the teams back was too him. Chances were neither Yomi nor Harichimo knew there was kunai flying at them from behind intended for the enemy.

But the enemy could see. Now Harichimo had overextended himself and targeted the strongest of the three. The newest and possibly weakest of his squad was now going to go head to head with the enemy teams bad ass. Akira could already see this being a mistake with Yomi falling to the ground and Kurai fighting already. The enemy girl saw the jutsu aimed at her and was too quick for Harichimo by far. With ease she ducked under it and smirked. " Too early to take me on Junior" she said in a growl and suddenly at full speed and strength brought a knee up towards Harichimo's ribs. She had seen the Kunai coming so she tried to move Harichimo in its path while cleanly avoiding it herself by moving into that knee attack like she wasn't avoiding the incoming kunai. So that Harichimo would have no warning of it.

"Final stop, the ground!!" Yomi laughed, with the sneaky guy now paying the price for underestimating the young woman who had just been facing off against his superior team member. However, while they were dropping down the cliff, nearing the ground, Yomi had to quickly make sure she didn't drop to far down as well. "Toodles, I'm off."

With a few quick handsets, she created two black, jagged crystal swords, which she combined with the puppet-string jutsu she had learned at the academy. Turning around, she forcefully dug the swords into the rocky cliff, using it to slow her down while trying to place her feet back on the jagged surface. Using the blades as leverage, she'd launch herself towards the chuunin woman, who was now being initiated in hand to hand by the newest member of squad one, something Yomi had to admit was quite bold.

"Oy, Spit-bitch, I'ma coming fer ya!!" The Yamada woman roared while rushing over the rocky surface, using the advantage of her still active, but slowly dissipating sharp feet jutsu, which layered her feet and legs with a layer of spiked and jagged crystals, which dug into the rocky surface of the cliff with ease. Tugging the strings still attached to the swords, Yomi pulled the blades out of the rocky surface, grabbing them when they reached her and loosely holding them between her armpits for a second, while she made another set of handsigns to suddenly create two massive, bladed arm-like appendages made from her usual black crystals, pulling the blades from out of her armpits again while closing in on the opponent. "Payback time's double!!"

When she was close enough, she's try to simultaniously slice with her regular swords one coming from the left, one from the right, aimed at the chuunin's abdomen, while her Revenant type appendages tried to stab the woman's shoulders from above. This way the woman would only have two ways out: foward or backward and depending on how Yomi's squadmate would act, even those could be futile efforts.

All Harichimo could do was watch in slow motion in his head as the chunin girl looked up with a grin and raise her knee up to his ribs bringing his whole plan to a standstill. He felt the superior strength and speed create a crushing force on his rib cage and he was knocked out of breath. Then he felt something stab him in the back of his left shoulder He felt the blood start to drip down his back as he let himself fall trying to catch his breath. He fell about halfway down ending up behind Kurai before he felt himself coming back around and tried to get a grip with his hands and feet. He channeled his chkara again and dug in his feet so he could assess his injuries. A minor knocking to his ribs and a kunai out of nowhere to his shoulder. He took the kunai out of his wound to keep from causing more damage to his shoulder.

He stayed there and watched as Yomi had taken down one of them and Kurai had another on the ropes. He had to keep helping even though he had an injury to his shoulder. He looked over to Kurai and the younger member and saw Yomi trying to go after the chunin again. Harichimo stood back up and decided he had to help play defense. He reached in his bag and grabbed a senbon from his bag and took aim at the chunin girl. He used his right arm to try and place a well aimed throw towards where he thought the chunin would go to dodge Yomi's flurry of strike to hopefully slow her down or distract her so Yomi can land a strike.

Things were getting hectic and Kurai was getting sloppy. He had mistaken his rank and experience advantage for an advantage of physical strength. Yes, he executed a well timed chakra, but without enhancing it with charka it would be revealed to him that his strike was not nearly enough. Also, Kurai had paid a crushing price for his angst. His preemptive strike of launching kunai backfired as his team was in the line of fire. He had threw the projectiles before reassessing the battlefield. The sight of wounding his own teammate was enough to dull his reflexes to the point that his opponent's retaliation would be successful. A quick jab landed partially. Kurai was able to roll with the punch at the last second, reducing the force of blow by about half.

Kurai reeled and fell to the ground. In a flash, Kurai realized they were failing horribly. And it's my fault. Essentially, there were three individual fights going on. There was no coordination. Kurai's eyes met his opponent's. The Uchiha could have easily defeated this guy, but he was careless today, and now he didn't even want to right his wrong and knock the guy out. He wanted to win this with teamwork. Somewhere during the contest he had lost sight of that. There was still a lot of loose dirt and debris along the quick from the avalanche earlier. Kurai smacked some of it up into the eyes of the boxer. After the dirty strike. Kurai rushed at full speed to his team. He yelled out. "We've had enough individual fun you guys! It's time to take on these last two as a team! We have superior numbers now, we have to use it!" Kurai reached the others after their exchange with the leader of the trio. His kept shifting behind him to see what the boxer was doing. After their exchange, he hoped Harichimo and Yomi would join him side by side and take on the last two as a unit.

Akira tilted his head as Yomi pushed off the guy and sent him sailing down towards the ground below while giving herself a boost back at the same time. He simply sat there and watched as the boy slammed into the ground and blood splashed out of his mouth while his eyes rolled back. Well he was certainly out of the fight. That kind of damage on him was sure to require medical attention to survive. Sooner or later anyway. Akira could hear his heart beat from where he was by concentrating as well as see his chest rise and fall. Kid would be fine so long as Akira didn't wait too long. Besides the show was reaching a climax so he would hold off on involving himself just yet. Besides, what if the boy still had the power to get back up there? He doubted it but hey some people tried to surprise him every once in a while. Still Akira returned his attention to the fight.

Akira winced slightly as Harichimo paid for the mistake of taking on someone too strong for him alone. The blow to his ribs was a considerable one and sent him careening down the cliff side. Still the girl had forgotten to knock him out and away from the cliff but straight down it instead. Still him taking that Kunai to the shoulder probably hurt just as much. As well as perhaps hurting Kurai's pride. Still he managed to recover from it which make Akira grin a little. His students could at least take a beating. Still Harichimo wasn't finished. He grabbed yet another weapons and quickly predicted the opponents available movements before throwing it. Smart.

As The girl saw Yomi approaching she looked at the weapons and gritted her teeth. She hated retreating but now she needed to wait for an opening. Quickly she braced her self and prepared to launch herself back up the cliff wall and out of harms way. Even as she did so though she saw a flash and raised her arm taking a senbon to it with a grit of her teeth. But the distraction was enough for Yomi to get barely within range as the girl tried to escape. Four blades tore into her an inch deep across her front. Still she slid back up the cliff and spat up blood. Her glare showing nothing but hate for Yomi. Her brothers partially forgotten in that hate. But something else was there. The woman wasn't about to admit defeat and stop. She was willing to die instead of lose and let her brothers die too in that hate. That was what Akira wanted Yomi to see. How anger can blind someone and lead to bad choices. The enemy had barely worked as a team and the girl had ignored her brothers. Had she gotten passed Yomi as she could have and all three had attacked Harichimo or Kurai at once the scenario would of been a lot different.

Kurai on the other hand was learning a lesson. That Jutsu not prudently planned out and used too close to allies without their knowledge could do more damage to his team then good. Likely it would damage Kurai's pride for the moment. Especially since one of his juniors was doing more damage to the enemy then he was. He wondered how Kurai would handle being out shined in front of his sensei. He hoped the boy would learn from this and remain humble. If not then the boy was rash and would need to be put firmly in his place. Still Kurai hadn't been useless at all. He had blinded the only uninjured enemy and was now rushing forwards towards the wounded ace member of the enemy. He shouted something about team work but Akira wondered if he realized he was leaving an injured team mate alone with the enemy. Kurai's choices sure had some consequences. But if Kurai felt that Yomi needed him more then Harichimo then he figured it was up to Kurai. Akira was just observing. Still the boxer was trying to get his eyes clear for the moment so perhaps Harichimo was safe enough.
