Synn Waited until The sun rose well above the tree’s. At the very least he wanted to look presentable. Once the sun was up and the day felt a little warmer he moved down to the nearby river. There he abandoned his first set of gear. The dark clothes discarded now on the ground as they no longer served a purpose. His read hair fell free now of the dark cap and he lets out a breath. Finally free of the constraints of the outfit and the change of clothes. Now it was time for a bath.

Synn pulls the bar of cherry blossom scented soap out of his belongings. He was a Karisuma after all. He was used to some level of comforts. Slowly so as not to suffer the shock of the cold water Synn moves into the river. It was freezing but it would do. He quickly bathes with the scented soap. If it where not for his genjutsu then the scent he usually wears would give him away regardless of how well he hid from even a basic nose.

Still he finishes quickly, even washing his hair. Before returning to the shore. For a time he shivers rubbing his chest back to warmth. His arms would work themselves that way and quickly he regains feeling all over like being pricked in every pore. Drying in the sun for a time he watches the sky with his one good eye. His eye patch on as always. Some time passes before he collects his spare set of clothes. Donning the scented clothing he brushes his hair out and adjusts as necessary.

Moving to the main road Synn begins to walk to the village. He was now wearing a red shirt with an ornately designed red coat. his sandals where tied snugly to his sock covered feet and his red pants where set with a small amount of flare at the cuffs around the ankle. A horrible outfit to fight in but one suited for something important. It was impossible not to stand out. Which was perfect as he intended to announce himself.

Synn moves up to the main entrance before gazing about him in wonder. The village was covered in lush life and bustling with the crowd of mid day. It had so much more life then Suna it was astonishing. A smile moves upon his lips even as he approaches the gate watch. He had brought no weapons his own body not included. So once he approaches the gate watch he bows his head. Before announcing in a confident tone.

"my name is Synn Karisuma and I believe your Kage would like to speak with me. As I come peacefully."

The Karisuma name was no secret. Actually it was as if they advertised it. Really his ancestors craved for attention. Either way it pointed him out to those with knowledge that he was from Suna. In no time at all he was being escorted by two armed Jounin to the Kage's office. Standing there under guard Synn was getting impatient. It was a relief when one of the Jounin knocked on a door he assumed to be the Kage's office.

Oh the rage... oh god the rage. Not a day off; or else he would have told the Jounin that summoned him to fuck off and shove the Suna nin into a locked room for the night. He was technically on duty; even if he was home with his family; so he had no excuse for why he couldn't go in. Well; least he'd been able to put the kids down already. He hated missing time with Michi; but what could he do... He was Hokage after all. He knew when he accepted (acquiesced to reallyr, but meh, semantics) the job that he was never going to be free of duty again; not unless he stepped down; and even then.

Goddamn Suna. Nothing but a headache lately. First that damn bitch of a mutt calling herself an Inuzuka comes and makes trouble; now a Genin shows up outta thin air; no announcement, no papers... Classic, poorly thought out defector. Given the news out of Suna; he would be more surprised to be wrong. Entire clans had fled the mess of a village, if rumor could be trusted. Given any clan that wanted to flee Suna even remotely safely had to move through the Land of Fire; he was damn sure the rumors where true.

The back entrance was his entrance to his office; Kenta did NOT use the Hokage's apartment adjacent to said room; as he prefered, highly so, his own modest home. And really... the Hokage's apartments where made for a single bachelor, or a much smaller family then his. Three infant children and two massive canines full time, along with however many puppies they where raising at the time.... yeah.

He was only half dressed; khaki shorts and a thin mesh shirt he'd grabbed out of the 'clean' hamper all he was wearing; his robes and hate where hanging where they belonged in the corner of the room. Good enough, really. He flung a stapler at the door; hard enough to splinter a good inch of wood from the massive doors; basically telling the Jounin to get the Suna-nin in here and this over with so he could go home and back to bed. Or to bed period. The blonde was exhausted. "In. Before I drown EVERYONE."

There was a crack against the door hard enough to make Synn Wince. And the words that followed where equally discouraging. Still he maintains his composure and stands tall. Feet apart and back straight.

The Jounin Escort the young man in through the doors. The first thing one would notice was the amount of red to him. Red pants red shirt red coat and red hair. All comfortably loose on him. Second would be the eye patch. How strange someone of his age would have one. A mystery to solve perhaps.

Synn Observes the kage's clothing but does not seem to criticize in his gaze. Rather he was calculating the maneuverability the simple outfit provided. He smiles a little at that. It appeared that If Synn had been an Assassin It would of been a poorly thought out strategy. But Synn had worn clothes hard to fight in to represent himself as harmless.

Finally he was in the room. And first he would bow his head though his eye would remain on the Kage. once he rose to his full height yet again he waited to be spoken to to speak.

Hnn... So, this was what Suna had to offer him now? Meh, he'd seen worse. The kid had balls, to stare him down without flinching; with the amount of annoyance and near anger the Inuzuka projected at the moment. Well, he had to have some skills, to travel all this way dressed like that without being noticed. Potential, good. Then again, he shouldn't even be thinking about that, if he was wrong about this kid being a defector. Uuugh... late nights.

"So."

A statement and a question; dead toned and seemingly bored. He was good at that tone; something that saved him a lot of hell during his 'training' for the job. "What insanity does Suna plan on bringing to my village now."

Synn

The tone that seemed to say more then the words. It was unexpected But at the same time not unpredictable. Suna was not known for being very stable recently. Instead of responding to the tone Synn takes the time to smile a little as if he had been complimented in some way. Then he would speak. His voice sounded as if he where talking to a friend. And somehow it sounded somewhat educated.

"Regretfully there is far more insanity in Suna then I would appreciate. Hence why I stand here instead of within my home. I am Karisuma Synn. And I am honored to meet you."

The question had been answered of who and somehow also why in a round about way. Still Synn was not here to test anyone's patience so he would clarify.

" I left my home because I could not define any organization at any level within Suna. There where no squads to speak of. No teachers. It was a survival game with nothing to help you but your own mind and any you met along the way. I did not see myself growing properly there. I left in the dead of night and regretfully could not send notice for if detected I would surely never be seen again. I am a mere Genin seeking to better myself and Konoha Is the best place to become the best one can be."

Nailed it. Joy.

"I see..."

Well then, he had been right about Yui all along. Nothing but a mongrel playing at alpha; with no skills what so ever. Prolly crawled into a hole and died while no one was looking. Not that it mattered; one less dead branch on his family tree. If she even was a true clan member. He still wasn't convinced. Her lack of knowledge and extreme posturing made him think she was just another one of the many mutts trying to claim they where part of the prime Inuzuka stock. But that was neither here or there; for the moment he needed to focus on this Genin asking to join his village.

"Hnnn... Normally... well, normally, you wouldn't be leaving this office alive; unless by some miracle of genetics you possess gills like a Kisame. I have a tendency of drowning people I find... offensive. Traitors with extreme relish. However... you are, in my eyes, more a... how shall I say this... refugee? of Suna. It's really the only reason you are still breathing as of now." He paused a moment, leaning back in his chair and moving to prop his feet up; dropping the elegant Hokage act in favor of a less tiresome Inuzuka verbal smack down.

"Listen. I despise traitors and defectors. I've hunted and killed more of them then most Kiri Hunter-Nins will ever see. I'm damn good at it, too. Was only a promotion away from sliding right into our ANBU hunter-program when they decided to knock me up to Kage; for some weird reasons I still don't understand, nor care about. Now; If you came to me and said you where from ANYWHERE else... well... not many people have seen the business end of my Water Dragon Bullet and lived to tell the tale. I highly doubt some sand child could either. However, I despise your so called Kage with every fiber of my being. She is a disgrace to the title, and a disgrace to my family name. If only for another way to bust her a new one... I shall... contemplate, allowing you admittance to my village."

A hand raised, finger's formed like he was about to snap them. An obvious signal, is there ever was one. "I give you a single chance to explain just why I should bother to let you stay, as well as anything tactical or specialistic based you could possibly bring to Konoha."

Synn

A single chance? how fascinating. It was actually exciting to Synn that someone wanted proof he was worth the time. Still he was limited. Two Jounin and a Kage all ready to kill him instantly. And he only a Genin. His eye look about him. The stapler on the floor. perhaps it had a use after all as it had been left there. broken. He subtly scoops it with his left foot between his feet. Distracting with speech.

" As I am still a child surviving as a rouge nin I assume would be near impossible for any extended period of time. However I can not give you any information on Suna. My family still resides there and to betray them. to cause them possible harm is something I can not abide. I understand you do not like the Suna Kage. As for why you should bother. Why kill someone with potential to grow that has no ill will against you?

Synn smiles contemplating what to do about his specialty. He had not been tied up but he was still surrounded. Luckily he doubted they knew he used Genjutsu. He focuses on A spot on the front of the Kage's desk.. Memorizing the smell.. the exact shape and texture he could see.

"As for my specialty I shall demonstrate. But keep in mind I am not hostile to you."

and with that one foot kicks up broken stapler. with staples still hanging out of the broken contraption. His hands catch it and rips the staples apart sending all the remaining stables flying through the air. Just a distraction. He moves forward and dives down casting hidden presence jutsu. And then he was gone. His smell. any sign of him was gone. however with the highly trained individuals in the room. one might notice the desk was a little longer. within the illusion of the extended part of the desk Synn hid himself.

A golden brow quirked; hand flattening as a signal to his jumpy Jounin to chill out. Moments like this he wished naota was a little more reliable after dark. Idiot Uchiha was likely in the room. Snoring quietly. As usual. Or else off murdering some idiot cousin that wanted to pull an anti-hero archetype out of his or her ass. Distractions, smart move. His speech patterns proved he was smarter so... Specialized ninjutsu, or possibly Genjutsu. That he would abandon his clan, but not sell them out... admirable, yet cowardly. Maybe a spy mission, to see if it would be worth moving them here? Either way, the kid was better then any Suna nin he'd seen in a very long time.

"Camouflage eh?" A quick sniff had him leaning towards Genjutsu more then Ninjutsu. The scent of the Sand-nin was... not entirely gone. Diminished; but with a nose like Kenta's, it was impossible to fully disappear. More to the point, Kenta knew his desk inside out, and it was fairly obvious where the boy had hidden himself. Without ever leaning forward, the blonde shifted a foot, tapping the heel of his sandal against the area of his desk that had appeared from nowhere. Either a trap; of which he was not really afraid, or the hidden Genin.

"Not a bad trick there, kid. Genjutsu, I'm guessing? Or else one rather nice Ninjutsu. Come out, I have a few more questions for you."

once touched the Genjutsu faded and There was Synn sitting cross legged perfectly calm. He smiles to the two jounin who had been kind enough not to kill him and rises to turn and take a couple steps back. Mostly for ease of mind for those protecting the Kage that he was not so close that he could strike. That and he didnt want to be within reaching distance of anyone who was capable of killing him in a single strike.

He smiles at the kind of compliment for his jutsu and bows his head in respect. but Still he never lets his eye lower. pride perhaps? regardless He was impressed that he Hadn't even momentarily fooled the Kage with such a simple technique. His awe can be heard somewhat in his voice.

"Indeed it is. I specialize in Genjutsu and joint displacement Karate fighting style. I shall answer any questions I can."

Kenta Inuzuka

"Joint displacement? One of the grapple styles, or something else?" Kenta was wary of joint-displacers, as his own style of Taijutsu taught several types of joint-redirection, which was similar to displacement; only focused less on actual damage and more on making the opponent cry like a bitch. More fun that way.

"Genjutsu... we where once famous for our Genjutsu, but in recent years our prowess has... I would not say faded, as much as interest has shifted. There seems to be an upsurge in Sealers, lately." Shrugging some, the Kage returned to his comfortable leaning, a flick of his wrist enough for a toothpick to appear in his hand; said item quickly inserted between a canine and molar for optimum picking. "You are a properly ranked genin, correct? You bring a refreshment to our lagging specialties, if nothing else. I am curious as to how you came upon a genjutsu as that. It was interesting, to say the least."

Synn

Synn

Synn folds his hands in front of him and contemplates the words the Kage speaks. He counted three questions asked and began contemplating how to answer each in Order. First was how his joint displacement worked. He could explain that well enough he supposed. The second was simply to confirm he had graduated from the academy. And the last was to explain how he came about the technique. interesting. How to explain

" well let me begin with the Joint displacement. Commonly in a fight to disable an opponent a Bone is snapped at some point. however this takes a very long time to heal and causes some extreme pain and possible permanent damage. What I do Is I angle my blows against theyre stance to target the joints such as elbows and knee's. By simply removing these from the socket the healing process is quicker and there is far less pain while achieving a loss of use in the limb. For shoulder, wrists, fingers, and ankles I use grappling as I actually have to be able to hold them to adjust the joints as needed.

He smiles and pauses a moment to allow this information to sink in and to make sure he was controlling his breathing. He had more tricks up his sleeve but for now he would explain what he had demonstrated.

"As for a properly ranked Genin, Yes, Regretfully that is the limit of what i am. however as for the Genjutsu. I typically see fights being drawn out and combat coming down to who has more brute force or power. I see this as a flaw. So i devised a way to completely hide my presence from my opponent and strike when the Moment is opportune for me to finish the fight in one blow. Negating the opponents ability to use theyre techniques to defeat me."

Well, he was smarter then the average Genjutsu using Genin. The vast majority of kids going into the field thought it would be all Yamanaka Mind fuckery or brain melting; not the subtle tricks and angles and screwing with perception that it really is.

"I see. So then you prefer to use pain versus brute strength? I don't see many people with the physical power and mental capability to combine Taijutsu and Genjutsu effectively, not until they are my age anyway." Not that he was old by any measure; this suna child couldn't be more then 5 years his junior; if even that. The boy struck Kenta as being younger then he likely was; but then again, Kenta was bad at visually judging age.

"Your Taijutsu style is admirable, anyway. The finesse it takes to be a proper grappler, or even to work with the joint of the body at all... It's something I would like to see more of in my village."

Kenta paused, teeth meeting lip and a soft 'tch' sound breaking the silent air of the office as he pondered. He really didn't need more Genin; he'd had a gigantic graduating class recently, and was overwhelmed as it was. But... the kid's skills could be useful, eventually.

"I offer you this. Swear your allegiance to this village... and I will give you a... probationary period. If I am satisfied... you may stay. However... If I find one misstep, one instance of anything I do not like... well; pray I feel merciful. I may just turn you out to find favor elsewhere. If not... Learn to breath water, child."

It was relieving that the Kage did not find him a total waist of space. He had no real desire to die in this office. Not today and not here. Synn knew how he wanted to die. He wanted it to end on a cloudless day staring into the bright blue sky. The last thing he wanted to see was the sky. Infinite and without flaw. No weaknesses to speak of. In a way the only thing truly immortal in his mind was the sky.

Still he listened carefully. A probationary period. It was a dangerous gamble. But one that he had been prepared for. He had contemplating wording up until this point and all the scenarios leading up to it.

" I Swear loyalty to Konoha. Not to an individual but the village as a whole. I will not back down from its defense even if my own cousins threaten its borders. For any who attack here attack me in turn."

Synn says it all with annunciation and makes sure he speaks clearly. In a way he had twisted his words to say that he would do what was best for the village. But he doubted there was much plotting to do things that might harm the village amongst its individuals. But he speaks again.

" If I might make one request though. I will not be mentioning My Karisuma heritage to any of the other Genin and I ask that neither does anyone else who knows. It is best for the survival of a team if there are no doubts about someone on the team."

"You'll be lucky to get a team anytime soon. I'm short on ranked ninja at the moment.:" With a grunt, he sent the Jounin out, hands shifting to his temples where he pressed finger tips to flesh and began to rub softly. "You're not the first, nor the last, foreigner in the ranks. Konoha has always been a safe haven for those who would flee oppression. Half the village is descended from those born outside our lands. It happens. Your name? It means little. But as you wish; adopt a new surname. I really can't be bothered to care what you call yourself."

Kenta began to cough softly, something that happened often when he was tired and not sleeping well. So, all the time lately. "Someone will find you temporary lodging. If nothing else, we'll shove you in an ANBU apartment for the moment; until we decide what to do with you in the end. You and I will need to speak again; likely sometime tomorrow afternoon. For now... I need to sleep. Badly. I will summon you when I am ready. Rest, prepare. Or don't. I really don't care."

Synn listens and contemplates. Impatient and tired. perhaps if Synn where only a couple of ranks difference between them the moment would be opportune. Still he just keeps that special note locked away. He bows once the man is done speaking and turns to leave. His eye looking out into his new temporary prison and future home.

"the grass is green but the sky is not yet blue."

he says quietly to himself as he leaves the office. He would not keep the Kage longer then he was dismissed. He smiles though as a feeling of accomplishment comes over him. It was a beginning and the story was his to write.
