Sun radiated from above as the wind tossed around the trees, Iyata stood at the top of a hill which outcropped over the ocean. She gazed into the blue darkness below and smiled softly, she had recently received her promotion to Special Jounin. In commemoration of that she dyed her hair a little lighter, it now reflected something of a purplish but leaned towards pink. The wind tossed her hair back and forth softly, instinctively she reached up tucking back a few strands behind her ear. She waited in silence…She had approached Kaguza-Sensei about taking her on as a student to learn the ways of Bukijutsu which he had accepted. She had seen his prowess with weapons and knew if there was anyone to teach her it would be only that man. She did not want to learn from some second-rate swordsmen, she wanted the best and would only accept the best. It was all in selfishness really, Iyata secretly had always dreamed of becoming a swordswoman. However her parent’s would of scoffed at the idea more so then they balked at her becoming a puppeteer. In their eyes medicine is where she belonged and only where she belonged, but Iyata had other plans for herself. She secretly had always wanted to be one of the Legendary Seven.

She had vague memories of standing out in the academy yard with the other children playing the seven swordsmen of the mist. She would always want to play but the boy’s never let her, that was until she got tired of their stupid remarks at saying a girl cannot be a swordsman and blackened the boy’s eye.  She really believed that was the turning point in her life where she got tired of being told what she could and could not do…and would do the exact opposite just to prove them wrong. It was a life style that had provided her with where she was today and she was not ashamed in the least at what she had learned and where she was today. Instead these moment’s where probably the happiest in her entire life, she had accomplished something and was learning so much. She could not of envisioned herself any different then she was now.

So she waited for her teacher to bring her to the next step in her towards a dream and a lifestyle that she was already willing to accept. "Soon..." She said as she looked down at the land off to the right and saw where they were to train.

Kaguza stood in the small shack just outside of the village that he called home. One of his squad members having asked him to teach her how to use weaponry more specifically, swords. Kaguza wore his usual dark clothing, a long white overcoat over his shoulders. A decorative leather case that held a single scroll, hung at his side. Thoughts or rather memories of himself back when he was a genin learning to use a wide variety of weaponry. His first weapon or weapons, were a set of sledge hammers, that he dual wielded. As a genin he was often called a walking armory for having so many weapons. He had two sledge hammers, a pair of yawara, a pair of war fans, a meteor hammer, a wrecking ball, and a pair of chain kusarigamas. He had built up strength from carrying the collection alone.

Today though it was different, he had a more refined collection of weapons. All of which he kept stored within the scroll at his side, almost like a universal bottomless sheath. He no longer had the frightening appearance as if he was going into battle with a platoons worth of weapons. Wrapping his forearms with a pair of meteor hammers, one for each arm, Kaguza was almost ready to meet and train with Iyata. The scroll at his side was set upon the table in his home. Removing his sword of choice for the day, he set Silver aside as he returned the scroll to it's case. Finally a paid of black leather gloves went over his hands as he made his way, sword in hand. It took a while before he managed to find his student standing on a hill that over looked the ocean surrounding the land that Kirigakure called home. "Iyata, you ready?" It was his student's choice as to where they would train. Following her to where ever she had chosen for the session, Kaguza stabbed his blade into the ground before they began. "I have only one stipulation for this training. One, anything you learn, tell me. Such as if it's something come to realize, or learn from me. Any questions?"

Iyata heard the footsteps behind her and she turned around to meet Kaguza. She smiled softly dressed in her normal training attire which consisted of tight fitting white shirt accented with pink cut above the bellybutton to allow mobility and matching loose fitting pants that allowed her range of motion unhindered. She turned and approached her teacher and reached behind her back and produced a leather strap which she quickly looped into her hair tying it back into a ponytail to keep it from going into her eyes. As he asked if she was ready she pulled her Katana that she had recently purchased specifically for the training purposes from its sheath and rested the bow of the blade against her shoulder gently. “I am ready Kaguza-Sensei, but before we begin. I just wanted to tell you…I truly appreciate you teaching me…you may never truly understand what it means to me.” She said softly not wanting to get to girl on him. She quickly placed herself into preparation mode and everything about her facial features changed, the happiness was quickly replaced with cold calculating tranquility. An it was at this time she was indeed ready to begin.

“I will do as you say and let you know…”She said obediently, she raised her blade ripping the hilt high with her right hand and low with her left holding the blade in front of her in a readied stance.

Kaguza smiled as his student expressed her gratitude. "I've got an idea, but I'm glad you appreciate it. Just keep in mind that such feelings should be kept safe and away from the battle field." Gender truly didn't matter when it came to combat. It seemed like she already knew that as she quickly gave off the appearance of combat. It was nice to see a shinobi who could still express their emotions and be able to go into combat with a clear mind. "I don't plan on teaching you theory. A scholar who reads of directing an army may account for variables when making a plan, however he doesn't know how to improvise or analyze once combat begins. An experience tactician however will learn both in and out of battle, and is able to improve at any point." Kaguza withdrew his longsword from the ground and held it in his right hand. "I'm confident you'll be able to handle yourself."

His squad member had demonstrated her ability in their previous training sessions. Though he'd go easy at first, he'd slowly make the training session harder for her. If she could learn in battle and teach herself, she'd be able handle almost any situation. "Without further delay, we'll begin." Standing with his right side towards her, he held up his sword with the point aimed towards the ground. With his left hand at his waist, he dashed straight for Iyata. Kaguza moved slower then normal, choosing to move at a speed comparable to a jounin, a step faster then Iyata would likely be able to move. Once within range, he swung upwards with his blade. If she blocked the attack she'd feel the force his sword could generate which exceeded that of most swords. The tip of his weapon was designed similarly to hammers. The end of the sword had been made with extra weight, giving it's swing more centrifugal force.

Iyata nodded that she was ready to begin. He moved forward with speed the rivaled her own, the scary part was he was not confined to a circle so she could see his abilities and range of motion in its entirety. He quickly brought his blade upward towards her. Iyata swung her blade around connecting flat end with the flat end of her blade in the attempt to knock the attack out of the way however the force behind the blade was unreal and she required much more effort on her part to direct the attack away from her with just her blade she gritted her teeth and put a bit more strength into it and, She was successful in parrying the attack however she stepped backward with a confused look on her face. “I feel like I just hit a rock with my sword…”She slowly recounted the movements he had made in her mind and found that Kaguza did not rely on strength or speed he allowed the weapon to do the work. “You are allowing your weapon to do the work, your using finesse while your weapon does the strength….But th...”she frowned even more. “I’m no expert but that seemed awfully like how you use your hammers…but it is a sword…” She slowly began to walk in a circle.

She adjusted her stance slowly, she held her blade out in front of her pointing the tip towards Kaguza, she jumped up and forward bringing her free hand to the top of the hilt and swiping the blade in a downward arc from top to bottom. Using her strength of her hand gripping the top half of the hilt to leverage a decent amount of strength on the downward swing, trying to check his defenses and find a hole in them.

"Good eye. My blade was made with a hammer in mind. The tip is weighted, offsetting the balance of this blade, but increasing the force it can generate." Kaguza gave a smile, he did favor war hammers, that was clear to everyone in the village. Silver was the name he gave his longsword. Having commissioned Silver as a reward for reaching special jounin himself, it seemed fitting to be using it to teach a member of his squad who has just reached the same rank.

Iyata began slowly circling him, there wasn't much reasoning in his mind for trying to get behind him in a slow manner. Kaguza stood still, waiting for her to make her move, though he kept her within his vision. Beginning her next attack, she jumped at him while performing a simple downward slash. Jumping in the opposite direction out of range was enough to avoid the attack. It didn't seem like she was accounting for variables, though he hadn't thrown any into the battle yet. Kaguza put a bit more distance between the two before beginning his own attack. Raising a foot into the air, he slammed it against the ground forcing a large slab of earth to rise. With a second swift kick, the large chunk flew straight for Iyata. With weapon in hand, Kaguza followed behind the flying earth. Any direction that Iyata would move to avoid the boulder, Kaguza would move in the same and try to land a swift horizontal strike. Flipping the blade around in his hand, he'd strike with the back of the blade. Still utilizing the weighted tip, if would feel like being hit with a pipe rather then the risk of slicing into his student.

Iyata smiled softly as she was able to glean that information correctly, however she was even more concerned as if the fact she was fighting an expert swordsmen was not difficult enough his blade was crafted reminiscent of a hammer which was his odd obsession. As Iyata lunged in for the downward attack she was not shocked to see that Kaguza was quick to react and easily dodged sideways getting away from her. She stomped onto the ground forcing herself to stop the forward momentum and turned around, she had managed to keep her eyes on Kaguza as he had turned to be one of the more craftier Ninja’s she had to face in her time. She was slightly taken back at a large boulder being hurled her way. She thought quickly flipping the blade down in her palm hilt up as she weaved a seal. She placed her hands together gathering her Chakra inward then in a quick instance spreading her arms far a part suddenly Ice Mirrors appeared all around her just as the boulder crashed into the one directly in front of her. As Kaguza was moving in for the strike his sword was met with the same resisting type mirror as the boulder was.

However his strength was enough to destroy the Mirror entirely, however not before Iyata was able to jump to the open side of the mirrors and slid a distance away. As Kaguza emerged from the ice shards of the mirror, Iyata was ready for him she threw her blade towards the direction of the front mirror and suddenly it arched around. Iyata wiping her arm around as her fingers holding the blade within Finely woven chakra string’s guided the blade into a full on spin of fast proportion. The blade spun towards Kaguza attempting to knick him at the very least. If he was hit, the blade spun past him and rotated back around returning to Iyata’s hand as she stood up slowly. Should it have been deflected the blade would rebound back towards her once more returning to her hand. “Almost got me Sensei…”She said with a smile.

Kaguza charged forward behind moving boulder, Iyata however didn't move to dodge, instead she blocked it with a shield. The boulder crumbled on impact against the ice mirror. Swinging his blade, he struck the mirror with his full force shattering what was merely an obstruction for him. The man smiled, she had saved herself the risk of a sneak attack by putting up the mirror. His student took advantage of the situation by throwing her sword straight for Kaguza. Seeing the blade moving towards him, he witnessed it begin to spin like a disc or saw blade in mid flight. It was impressive to see his student incorporate the skill he was teaching with what she was already good at. To control the sword with chakra strings was a unique idea he had never seen anyone do. Though he had come up with something similar to what Iyata was using as her method of attack.

Striking the spinning blade with his own, he knocked it to the side. However the blade seemed to refuse it's landing point. Still being connected by her chakra strings, the blade simply returned to it's owner's hand. Iyata had performed a range attack and returned it to her hand. As a genin that was something he dreamed about. His solution to having a weapon no matter what back then, was simply to have more weapons. So that anytime he threw or lost one, he had another ready to use in battle. It wasn't efficient but it did work, he even had techniques that made weapons out of the earth he stood on. "That's very clever. To use the chakra string technique to ensure a ranged attack like the didn't leave you unarmed. Let me show you my variant of that technique." Charging straight for his student, he went with a simple horizontal strike. Rather she dodged or blocked, Kaguza would jump back a bit after his initial attack. Using a little sleight of hand, he unhooked his meteor hammer. Touching the pummel of his sword to the head of his chain, Kaguza threw his sword at Iyata. The chain followed his thrown weapon. Utilizing his chakra chain technique, Kaguza could attack at a distance with his sword. It was a move he had used during their squad training sessions, so it was nothing new. Moving the sword chain like a whip, Kaguza lashed out with several ranged attacks. The blade carved into what ever it struck, rather it was earth or the trees nearby.

"That's very clever. To use the chakra string technique to ensure a ranged attack like the didn't leave you unarmed. Let me show you my variant of that technique." Iyata nodded her head softly with a smile. “Thanks…”She commented and she knew that she was about to be in for it. As Kaguza suddenly linked his sword up with his own chain and threw it at her. Iyata jumped backward, she had been training with the Chakra Strings and a sword here and there doing some odd end stuff but never had she implemented it in a combat situation so she was not exactly sure the extent of the benefit it would provide her. However no time like the present, She quickly let loose the blade as it suspended itself in the air beside her as she retreated backward. She quickly began to swing the blade around horizontally near her side quickly throwing it forward to counter the incoming blade. As metal met metal clanks and bangs rang out as the blade kept coming at her no matter what she attempted to do. The problem with being on the defensive was she was getting further and further away from Kaguza. She quickly brought the blade back to her hand gripping it with both hands she lunged forward her blade meeting with Kaguza’s.

Upon impact she felt it all the way into the muscles of her arms, it definitely hit like a bag of bricks. She was able to muscle the sword to the side just enough for herself to slip on by, running at a dead sprint she began to charge at Kaguza, he loosened her hold on her sword and began to yoyo it back and forth deftly moving from side to side. Iyata made a brief attempt to try and severe the Chakra Chain with her sword however the Chain was sturdy enough to just absorb the impact. She frowned softly and turned her attention to Kaguza, she once more lashed out with a spinning blade disc aimed for Kaguza. She knew the man had a contingency plan for this, he always is apt at thinking steps ahead. But she wanted to see his control with the Chakra Chain.

His student was holding her own against him. It almost seemed second nature to use a weapon in the same manner she might with a puppet. The benefit of being able to perform close quarters combat at a distance could prove difficult for anyone to handle in the future. For the time being it was a ranged battle with which both combatants used their swords at a distance. Iyata was forced to play defensively though she was managing to fend off each of Kaguza's attacks. The problem though with using a chain weapon was being left open should the chain be knocked aside. It seemed his student had figured this out herself.

Forcing his sword to the side, Iyata made a mad dash towards her teacher. As far as weapon combat, she potentially had the advantage. Kaguza could no longer hold his sword through his chain as it was only maintainable for a short period of time. All he had were the two meteor hammers at his disposal as his student got closer and closer. Planning to simply jump to the side and begin using Taijutsu he waited. Iyata on the other hand didn't seem to like the idea of getting to close to him. Throwing her sword, it began spinning like a saw blade again as it flew towards Kaguza. Jerking on his uncoiled chain, he withdrew the bulk of it quickly in front of him. This created a net of chain for the blade to fly into. As the spinning blade met the loose chain, it became entangled. Another pull of his chain and the loose chain tightened around his student's weapon. Kaguza had more then one jutsu specifically for his chains, now was the perfect time to use it. Channeling a thick chakra along his chain, it stopped moving as a chain should. It became ridged, and in it's current shape, like a long mace that encased Iyata's sword. "Gotta be careful when throwing around your weapon." Kaguza had taken her blade from her, though he wouldn't keep it for long, he wanted to see if she could retrieve it. Though he didn't know much of the Chakra strings technique, it didn't seem likely that chakra strings could be stronger then a steel chain. With the chain mace firmly in his hand, he raised it up and swung downwards at his student, shattering the ground on impact.

Iyata frowned softly as her sword was taken, she would have to watch that in the future. She needed to develop a way to be able to strengthen her strings more. She looked at Kaguza as he spoke "Gotta be careful when throwing around your weapon." Iyata nodded her head softly, “Yeah I am figuring that out rather quickly…”She stated plainly. She was not at a loss for ideas over, she placed her hands up onto her mouth and like playing a trumpet she shot a steady stream of water direct at the part of the chain that met her sword drenching the chain with water covering her sword as well. Iyata rushed Kaguza and jumped forward just as he slammed his large Chain mace on the ground towards Iyata. She nimbly evaded the attempt to clobber her and continued to run towards Kaguza, she was quick to reach her destination. She placed her hands together “Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu!” the water she had expelled near her sword suddenly took on form of her likeness. As the form molded its hand around the hilt of the sword just as it solidified.

The clone rushed Kaguza from the other side and swiped at him with the sword, knowing his instinct to dodge the close quarter attack the clone let loose of the blade in mid swing the Blade sailed towards the true Iyata. Iyata reached out with an open hand and as the hilt of the blade hit her palm she closed her hand around it once more securing her blade. She continued to rush towards Kaguza Jumping forward attempting to double team with her clone, She was really shoddy at Taijutsu but she knew the basic premise on how to kick someone. She arched her foot around to perform a standard roundhouse kick to Kaguza’s middle section.

His student was showing promise. Drenching the make shift chain weapon that held onto her own weapon, she created a clone and pulled her weapon free. She was quite handy with her clone technique, moving fluidly into an offensive action. Iyata and her clone moved to flank Kaguza. Weapon in hand the water clone predicting that Kaguza would dodge threw the blade towards the original. Having already taken it once, he made no attempt to impede the weapon's path. The next opportunity though wouldn't share the same treatment. Having side stepped the thrown blade, he now had to contend with two opponents attempting a taijutsu attack.

Weapons come in all forms, the human body being no exception. Kaguza had extensive training in Taijutsu, enough to consider himself armed even without a weapon in his hand. Releasing the jutsu that made his chains ridged, they fell to the ground giving him both of his hands to work with. Rushing him with a simple roundhouse kick while the clone flanked from the opposing side. Raising his arm and moving to take the kick to his side with minimal impact, Kaguza wrapped his arm around his student's leg. Having pinned her leg to his side, he spun around attempting to swiftly grab the water clone by the collar of her shirt. Rather or not he managed to grab the clone hardly mattered. He'd lift up the clone and swiftly slam her into the ground before grabbing Iyata's leg with his hand and similar to using an axe while chopping wood, slam his student into the clone while it lay on the ground. If the clone had managed to avoid being grappled, Kaguza would simply hurl Iyata over his head at frightening speeds aimed for the clone. "I don't recommend trying a fighting style in a match when you know little about it. Points for trying though."

Iyata was taken by surprise as the man had managed to grab hold of her leg and use her own momentum against her and her clone for that matter. As she became little more than a club against her clone the clone took the full attack of the man and it’s creator as Iyata was slammed into the ground, her body rebounded slightly off the ground and she winced thankful that the clone had managed to break her impact some before it had exploded into a gush of water. Iyata took a breath and blew out a stream of air from her lungs pushing Kaguza away from her as her body sailed along the ground creating separation between the two. Once the wind died away she flipped herself up onto her kneels and took a knee taking a second to gasp at a few much needed breaths. She quickly placed her hand on the ground and pushed herself back up right and watched Kaguza in the distance closely. She knew he was strong but did not realize how strong he really was, he was truly worthy of the title Sannin and Captain of the Bloody Seven. She smiled softly happy to be under his tutelage, she placed her hands on her back and bent backwards popping her back some and the crack brought swift pain but absolute relief as the cramp in her muscles eased slightly.

“Yeah I will keep in mind never to get in a fist fight with you…” She stated with assurance and looked around a moment. She brought her blade up to her side and once more ran towards Kaguza once she had gained her momentum back. She quickly cleared the distance between herself and the man as fast as her feet would take her. She quickly made a horizontal slash with her blade arching the blade upward at the last moment to be able to slice back at a right to left vertical motion attempting to catch him off balance. She was not about to relent to this man she still had so much to prove at being a swordswomen she wanted to be one of the Seven someday and she would never give up on that dream. She kept pressing him and pressing him backward not able to land a solid hit, She breathed deeply and exhaled into her free hand three balls of Fuuton Chakra while maintaining them in her hand threw a vertical slash at him and whichever way he dodge she attempted to slam the three balls of futon straight into his chest.

He was seeing bits of improvement, though not enough yet to warrant any kind of praise. A strong gust of wind came from his student having making contact with the ground that putted distance between the two. Kaguza gave his student plenty of time to recover after being slammed into the ground. Having suffered through a mistake and it's repercussions, he wanted her to think on what to do next. To battle against a more skilled opponent you had to utilize your best abilities and find a weakness to your opponent's. Clearly pitting taijutsu against him wouldn't pan out well for her. His training methods however were focused around failures and flaws. To fail often times was more beneficial in practice then a success. It showed him where he was lacking or how to improve. A success merely reinforced what he had accomplished.

Iyata after adjusting her back continued her relentless assault. Demonstrating a flurry of swings and attacks he would have to evade, his student was successfully pushing him back at least for the time being. Kaguza still had the chains in his possesion. One still wrapped around his left arm, while the other hung freely from his right. Taking the free hanging chain in his right hand, a cloud of smoke erupted. A new weapon was in his hand now. With a swing, the smoke revealed his war hammer Temper having appeared in his main hand. His jutsu allowed him to alter the shape of a weapon of choice into any other weapon he saw fit. This time he turned his meteor hammer into his war hammer. Grasping the weapon with both hands a click sounded as he pulled the two main pieces of the weapon apart revealing a chain that kept the two connected. Having what amounted to a club in one hand and a hammer in the other, Kaguza an item in both hands. Using his main hand, he caught the young Aisu's blade with the groove on the bottom of Temper's handle. This blocked the blade from moving anymore, unless his student chose to back up. Utilizing the head of his war hammer as a shield, Kaguza blocked her Fuuton jutsu should she choose to still launch the attack at close range while she was in striking distance. "Remember I want to hear anything you come to realize during this training bout. Can't fall behind on your exercises just because it might be difficult to multitask."

Iyata grunted it was easy for him to say that she was trying to focus on getting him off balance but it would seem that everything she was trying to do was just making it harder on herself. The man was truly insufferable, every moment she believed she could get the upper hand on him he came out with another weapon or made another weapon out of thin air. This man was truly never unarmed when it came to fighting he had definitely earned the title of Sannin and Captain of the Legendary Seven. “What I am starting to realize is I am never going to win this fight, for no matter how much I push forward and attack you, make you drop a weapon another just takes it’s place. You are much like the Hydra of legend, you chop one head off three more grow in it’s place. It is definitely frustrating you know that?” She said. She jumped backward and moved back as he now had two weapons that could literally destroy her at close range. “I am also learning that close range, mid range, and long range you have been able to adapt each time and prevent my attacks or be able to react with your own. You truly are worthy of your titles Sensei.” She took pride in the fact that he was her teacher and that she was learning from the best. But be damned if she was not going to try and knock him on his ass.

Iyata knelt down she was definitely tired from their sparring bouts she was feeling exhaustion but she forced herself back upright and looked to him and took in the situation. He effectively had two weapons at his disposal, one that could be used as a weapon or it could secondary as a shield. She was starting to wish there was more to her arsenal. It was at that moment she realized she had a lot more to learn about swords, “I am also starting to realize that there is much more to using a sword than to just attack and swing it about, that there is more to this art then what I know about or have seen.” That was indeed the truth of the situation. Iyata had known that there were many different facets of using swords. She was having a hard time formulating a plan to be able to achieve the goal of putting Kaguza on his backside. She stood still and looked at Kaguza a moment and pulled a Kunai out of her pouch at her side and flipped it around holding it length wise along her forearm. She began to walk around him slowly she was keeping her distance at this moment for unsure on how to approach him to be able to be successful in taking him down. She was not as prepared as she wanted to be but she knew that in order for her to be able to tackle him as a challenge she would need to watch his movements closely.

A smile formed on his face as his student compared him to the fierce some Hydra. He had never compared his ability to a creature of legend or to any kind of scale. One word though did bother him as she spoke. Never. While it was good she wasn't arrogant, to say she'd never beat him didn't settle right with him. To say never meant they she wouldn't try hard enough to accomplish the related goal or task. Though she was likely just using it as a figure of speech, he'd simply have to train her harder so that she'd surpass him in the future. "You have to remember that even the legendary Hydra fell to a single warrior. Give it time and hard work, with a level head I'm sure you'll come up with something."

With his war hammer in hand it seemed Iyata was having difficulties coming up with a plan to continue on with the sparring match. Temper by far was his favorite weapon since it was a difficult weapon to counter. As a war hammer it had devastating power at close range. With a ten meter chain, it's reach gave him frightening capabilities at mid range as well. Even long range, Kaguza had the strength to hurl the hammer at a great speed. He even had methods of retrieving it at a distance should he release it from his grasp. The most frightening part of his weapon was a technique he had used against the Mizukage in their training bout. A dragon technique that trumped the Ayakashi's own dragon technique head on. "I'm curious Iyata about why you aren't using your puppet. I've yet to see it in action. There are several areas of both swordplay and puppeteering that I'd love to see put together." All areas of fighting had earned his interest to some degree, though he didn't have the aptitude for all of them. A simple puppet show a few years ago had even served as inspiration for his war hammer's strongest jutsu.

The young Aisu took up a kunai knife and slowly began circling the Myugan. Kaguza gave her a few minutes to think as he stood still, watching her. "If you need time to think you should conceal yourself and hide, a normal battle wouldn't give you this kind of peace. Even I'm only going to give you so much. If you need something in a fight, try your best to take it. I've been known to take my opponent's weapons." Kaguza let go of the head of his hammer and swung it around by the handle. Lashing out with it like a long reach flail, Kaguza began his offense again. The war hammer head flew about smashing into the ground where Iyata stood leaving a creature in it's wake. At a distance it wasn't the most difficult attack to dodge, it was getting close while it was occurring that would prove difficult.
