Sanosuke
D-rank
Sanosuke woke up in the guest bedroom that he was given to by Titania. The rays of the sun peered through his eyes as he woke up. Sanosuke yawned while stretching his body so that he can get up right. He brought a hand up to his face to rub off the sleep that was still in his eyes, he had to get up since it was getting pretty close to dawn. It was time for him to get moving. He swung his body over the side of the bed so that he could stand up right. When he was standing, he yawned and walked over to the mirror that was in his room to check out how he looked. Under the mirror was a water basin where he could wash his face. Before going to sleep, Titania explained it to him that the basin worked with hand seals. If Sanosuke remembered what Titania told him; the horse seal was to turn on hot water, the horse hand seal was to turn on the cold water, and the snake hand seal was to turn off the running water. Also by applying more chakra into the seals, Sanosuke can control how hot or how cold the water could be.
Sanosuke used the horse seal to turn on the hot water in the basin. It worked just like a regular faucet and on cue, water poured down from the faucet and poured out hot water. Sanosuke reached his hand to touch and realized that it t was too hot. By too hot he meant that if he had put his hand in the faucet for any longer, he might have gotten first degree burn on his hand. Sanosuke returned his hand to the horse seal and this time lowered the chakra in his hand seal so that it might be slightly tolerable to Sanosuke. When he did it, he went to touch to find out that it was still way too hot. Sanosuke cursed when he went to feel it and it almost burnt him yet again. Who would have thought that just getting suitable water to wash your face was such a chore? Placing his hands in the hand seal one more time, Sanosuke focused his chakra on going down. He kept focusing so that the water’s temperature would drop.
Finally when he was done he let his hands, Sanosuke felt a bit of his strength give away when he dropped his hands. There were a couple beads of sweat on his forehead from doing so much chakra control that it was taking a toll on him. To think that the wasps had to do this sort of thing every day. He cupped his hands around the faucet so that he can splash his face with a handful of water. The very second that the water hit Sanosuke’s face, he was blown away. The water was so refreshing, it was as though he could feel the small amount of strength he lost trying to adjust the faucet water return to him in leaps. He kept splashing himself with water to give him the same rush that he had felt when he did it the same time, he was disappointed. With every splash, he felt as though he was a new man. Sanosuke remembered the days when his mother used to chastise him for playing with water as though it was a toy, but if only she saw him now and could experience the water that was coming down onto Sanosuke; she would see why Sanosuke, as a grown man, is acting like a toddler.
Sanosuke remembered the time and decided that enough was enough. He made the snake hand seal to stop the running water from fall down into the sink. Sanosuke reached for the towel that was hanging on the wall that was right beside the faucet and used it to wipe his face. Sanosuke could never get over how smooth the towel felt on his face. The wasps were really quite the accomplished craftsmen that would make humans seem like chumps when in comparison. When he was done, Sanosuke put the towel down so that he can proceeed to look for something to wear. There was a closet that held many types of clothing. They were all different sizes and colors, Sanosuke looked for something that he could wear. It would have to be something loose, because he would most likely be moving around a lot so it would be better to find something where he has free maneuverability than something tight. Besides tight clothing was something that Sanosuke didn’t quite do well. He liked wearing loose fit clothing so that he wouldn’t have the feeling of being confined in clothing. He got out some loose fitting black pants to wear and on top of that, he got a white T shirt. It looked to be well woven and was a V-neck. The details of the V-Neck could be seen and elegantly designed with swirls and markings. It was better than what he had on right now. All he had was a robed long sleeved shirt that was emerald green colored and was a combination of silk and cloth. He also had on pants that went with the robbed shirt he was wearing.
Sanosuke took off the robed shirt and placed it on the bed. When Sanosuke put on the white v necked shirt, he noticed that the shirt’s sleeves went to cover up his elbows. The end of the sleeves itself was designed as well in the same patterns that was an exact carbon copy of the details that went along the collar of his shirt. The shirt was warm when he put it on his skin, it felt as though it was just recently pulled out of the dryer or it was ironed. Sanosuke wouldn’t have doubted it was ironed because when he put it on it was free of any wrinkles. There weren’t any at all, not even the tiny wrinkles that normally would have developed from being folded. He bent over and then took off his pants and put it on the bed where the matching shirt was so he can put on the baggy black pants that he put on. The pants were pressed as well, it was prepared for Sanosuke. He went over to the corner of the room to get his shoes from the corner of the room and slipped them on his feet. Checking to make sure that he was putting on his shoes, Sanosuke lightly kicked the end of his shoes so that it was fixed on properly.
Sanosuke looked around his room to see if he can find his belongings. They were still in the far corner of the room, his swords on the other hand were nowhere to be seen. Maybe the wasps who had prepared the room for him, were the same who had cleaned up the broken remains of his weapon. They might have thrown it away since it was broken to shards. Sanosuke let out a weary sigh, his favorite weapon that he spent years saving up to buy it was destroyed so easily. It made going back to the village a high priority, he had to find some way to get money to pay for a suitable replacement for his swords. He wouldn’t ask the wasps for swords, it would just sound like he was being a mooch. It was already amazing that they allowed him to be trained by them, asking for a new weapon would just be pushing his luck.
Sanosuke stretched his back once more before departing from his room. He closed it and made sure it was properly closed before he made a hand seal. He made the tiger seal and heard the door go through a series of locks before the door itself was locked. Titania also told Sanosuke that to always lock the door when he left, and continued to teach him how to lock doors of a majority of the rooms he enters. It seemed as though many of the typical things he did in the outside world was all done with hand seals. That would be one way to gain extremely precise chakra control. This sort of thing might be good to assist him in his senjutsu training. With that being said, Sanosuke began walking down the halls to find the courtyard. Sanosuke remembered that he was on the 2nd floor of the entire castle; it was where many of the bedrooms were located. The halls he would need to walk would be going straight ahead and then finally to the stairs that were on his right. When he got to the stairs, the stairs were made out of the same material that the floor was made out of. It was a spiral stair case, which spiraled downwards significantly steep so it was fortunate that beside the stair case was railings in case someone might need assistance walking down it. Sanosuke walked over to the staircase and walked down the stairs. Even for a shinobi that was experienced with keeping balance, Sanosuke had to take extreme care to not slip off the stairs and break his neck. He had to focus chakra on the bottom of his feet so that he would be sticking to each step he climbed down. He was walking at normal speeds, Sanosuke already had fantastic chakra control due to his 5 years of chakra related training with Guru Pathik.
When Sanosuke walked down the stair case, he noticed that the staircase was right between a hallway to the left and a hallway to the right. He was on the ground floor of the castle so the courtyard had to be close by. Sanosuke chose to walk down the hallway on the right. Rays of light hits his face when he passed by the pillars of the floor, he was along the outside of the courtyard by the looks of things. Sanosuke stepped outside of the hallway to get a better view of what was outside. Even though that Sanosuke knew that he was in the forests that were at the very foot of the mountain, the sun was shining so brightly. It was filled with sunlight that was so bright that he had to squint his eyes. He didn’t think that the sun’s reach would reach even in the dwelling of this place.
Sanosuke walked took in as much of the sun’s rays as he wandered through the courtyard. The plant life that grew were nothing like the plant life that Sanosuke was so used to seeing in the outside world. They looked so exotic and came in different colors, shapes, sizes, and even smells. They were trimmed and planted to make the courtyard look beautiful but at the same time have a sort of practical use for training. The courtyard was large enough, if needed, for someone to train in so this area was ideal for Sanosuke to begin his senjutsu training. When Sanosuke was walking deeper and deeper into the courtyard, he saw Biosk waiting for him. The wasp knight was leaning on a tree and glaring at Sanosuke, his eyes were full of hate. It startled Sanosuke with the amount of hated the look he was receiving. It just caught him off guard was all, he was too busy marveling at the beauty of the courtyard to soo Biosk.
The wasp knight, or should he say former wasp knight, had his head bandaged up tightly. He was wearing blue pants and his sides were tightly bandaged to his sides to protect his broken ribs. From what happened last night, Sanosuke would take a guess that almost all of Biosk’s ribs were broken. And from the bandaged up head, he was most likely suffering from a severe concussion. The treatment from the wasps medical care, Sanosuke believed that the wounds he was imagining that Biosk went through was severally weakened and thus he shouldn’t have been damaged too much.
When Sanosuke approached Biosk he got off the tree he was leaning on and crossed his arms, ”You’re late Sanosuke Flynt of the Village Masked in the Clouds.” Biosk barked out as he waited for Sanosuke’s response. He got off of the tree to approach him. He was no longer wearing his armor that he looked as though he had great pride in wearing. Instead he was wearing black baggy pants and boots. He had on a black sleeveless shirt along with a ruby red cape that just hung off of his shoulders. The only piece of armor that he had on to his names was his boots and his gauntlets. Everything else must have been confiscated. The Queen most likely told him that he was off duty so he could devote all of his time on teaching Sanosuke their style of senjutsu. It wasn’t a shocker that beneath that armor was someone who was very muscular and showed it off through feats of strength. Sanosuke saw that his arms were burdened with many scars. He must have seen battle and been through enough to survive. Sanosuke almost felt bad for Biosk that everything he had worked for in his village, he was being stripped of.
”Sorry about that. Won’t happen again” Sanosuke apologized by bowing to his teacher. Biosk looked at Sanosuke and grunted. The wasp walked briskly towards Sanosuke as he bowed. Sanosuke picked himself up wondering what exactly Biosk was about to do. Just like that, his question was answered with a solid punch to his ribs. The blow sent all the win to his head and left him with absolutely no oxygen in his lungs. It was as though his lungs were ignited with gunpowder and chose to explode inside of him. Sanosuke crumbled to the ground and was there clutching his stomach in pain, desperately trying to regain the oxygen back into his lungs. Colors danced around his eyes due to the lack of oxygen that was in his body. Sanosuke tried to focus his mind only on breath, if he allowed his mind to wander then he would risk blacking out. The world was bending around the jounin, it was nauseating to try and regain his composure under these circumstances.
Stay calm. Ignore your surroundings and just focus on getting control over your breathing…” Sanosuke coached himself. Sure enough, Sanosuke felt his strength returning. His body was finally getting the oxygen he needed to avoid blacking out. Slowly his vision was getting more focus and less cloudy. He could feel the agonizing pain he experienced in his stomach slowly diminish when he was able to breathe again. It took him several minutes to get himself together so he can try focusing on standing up on his two feet.
Stumbling forward to get back on his feet, Sanosuke was clenching his left rib cage in pain. He was panting heavily. Even though he can breathe again, the pain in Biosk’s strike still rung true throughout his body. Sanosuke glared back at Biosk who was standing in front of him, still glaring at Sanosuke. This guy had nearly rupture one of his internal organs and Sanosuke wouldn’t be all too shocked if Biosk did that intentionally. ”What the hell….was that?!” Sanosuke panted through his teeth. Each breath of oxygen was like knives coming through his body and dissecting him from the inside. It made his eyes water in pain, he made sure that no tears would come out even though they were trying to. The last thing Sanosuke needed was Biosk to see that he hit Sanosuke to the point where tears were coming down his eye. He refused to give the wasp that satisfaction.
”Why did you not focus your natural chakra around your body to protect yourself?” Biosk asked angrily himself.
”I don’t even know what the hell that is damn it!” Sanosuke barked back at his teacher.
Biosk dashed at Sanosuk again, but this time Sanosuke retreated. Biosk looked at Sanosuke with eyes open in shock. It was the same look that Sanosuke gave Biosk when he chose to fight back against the wasp when he tried to kill Navi in cold blood. He had no idea that Sanosuke was going to do that, nor did he know that humans were this fast. If Sanosuke could keep up this speed, then he was pretty confident that he could keep Biosk’s attacks at bay until he grew tired, or until Sanosuke saw an opening. For now all he had to do was just stay alive. Biosk swung a punch at Sanosuke, the punch was coming at him at high speeds. The Kumo jounin dodge under his punch, in time to see that an upper cut was quickly approaching his way. Weaving out of the situation, Sanosuke swung his body to the left and made more retreats. A sharp pain came from his left side of his body as he tried to focus his movements on simply dodging. The pain was making it hard for him to read Biosk’s movements, whom for someone so big was moving rather quickly.
That was too close. For a second, I thought I was a goner… Sanosuke thought as he moved away from Biosk. A big shadow loomed over Sanosuke. He turned around to see that he jumped back right into Biosk. What? How did he get there so quickly? I didn’t have my eye off him for even a second!” Sanosuke screamed in his mind as he dived forward to avoid a blow to his head that would have killed him if he hadn’t moved in time. Biosk’s strike came down and hit the ground. Flying rock and debris cluttered the air at a faster than normal pace. Sanosuke had to use his arms to shield himself from the debris hitting himself in the eyes and other areas of his body.
A rock came at him at rocket speeds and nailed him in the left calf muscle. His leg spasmed and gave way under his weight. His weight buckled underneath him and caused his form to weaken. He was leaning backwards, coming close to falling down on his back. That was all it took for a familiar large shadow to dash at him at extremely fast speeds. Sanosuke closed his eyes waiting for the blow to come down on him from his face. But it never came, the shadow vanished from his vision. For a split second, Sanosuke wandered where his teacher disappeared to.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Biosk in mid-air. He swung his legs horizontally for a kick. Sanosuke barely had time to raise his arms to defend himself from the kick. Biosk was aiming for his already damaged rib cage on his left side. If his strike struck true, his ribs would have exploded and left Sanosuke dead. Thankfully, his arms were in the way so he got to avoid death’s embrace; but had to deal with a hell of a lot of pain. Bones creaked under the pressure of the kick as Sanosuke used his arms to shield himself from being too wounded. The net force of the kick sent him rocketing towards a tree, where Sanosuke hit the trunk of it to the point where the leaves and branches threatened to all fall down at once. Sanosuke gasped in shock at the pain he felt when his back met the tree. He felt his whole vision go white this time when he got hit.
Sanosuke slumped down the bottom of the tree, his body no longer listening to him. He couldn’t breath properly due to the fact that Biosk’s first punch most likely broke one of his ribs. And even though his arms protected Sanosuke’s rib cage from exploding, if only softened the blow. If Sanosuke was wondering if his ribs were broken by Biosk’s attacks, after he got the kick form the wasp knight’s ironed boots and then hitting a tree at high speeds, Sanosuke would have to be a fool to think that he was going to walk away from this tree without 2 broken ribs.
”Get up human…”
Sanosuke looked up to see that Biosk was looming over him, cracking his knuckles. ”I said get up human!” Biosk roared and back handed Sanosuke with enough force to break his jaw if Sanosuke hadn’t used his own chakra to shield himself from the blow. The strike took down all of his chakra shield so he was left with nothing. The force however did cause him to go flying, but at the very least he was sent flying completely unscathed from the back hand. His body bounced against the ground several times before skidding to a stop. Sanosuke laid there in the grass bruised from head to toe by his “teacher.”
As if he could read Sanosuke’s mind, an iron foot stomped on Sanosuke’s back. The jounin howled in pain as the wasp grinded the balls of his feet against Sanosuke harshly. The pain was agonizing. He couldn’t deal with it anymore. Was Biosk really trying to teach him? Or was Biosk just beating him senselessly to the state that the Queen had left him the other night for talking bad about the Queen? Sanosuke felt a hand hit the back of his head and push it to the dirt so that he could only breathe the dirt on the ground along with the grass that was inside of the dirt his face was in. This was completely humiliating, this wasn’t a teaching at al: it was a beat down.
”You have to feel the chakra go through your body. Not use your own chakra. What’s wrong human? Did they not teach you that much in the outside world?” Biosk sneered as he stomped on Sanosuke more and more. He couldn’t deal with this anymore. The pain he was experiencing was building up. Each time Biosk kicked his ribs, the pain kept on building and building. He might actually die here. Sanosuke seriously doubted that Biosk didn’t care at all what would happen to him if he had accidently killed Sanosuke. That might actually be his plan the whole time. “I tried to teach him senjutsu through wounds, but sadly his body could not deal with the stress of my lessons. I believe that the human was no even ready to learn our art. He was far too weak.” Sanosuke could heard Biosk saying that when he would be questioned on why he had killed his pupil in cold blood. No doubt that Biosk would be executed, but at least he got his revenge. At least he was able to settle the score between the human that had ruined his life.
Sanosuke wasn’t just about to let Biosk get his way. Anger filled Sanosuke’s chest and burnt him up; along with the wounds he had recently received by his so called “teacher.” He was mad at so many things; he was mad at Biosk for humiliating him just because that Biosk was punished for something stupid that the wasp knight did himself, he was angry at Titania for even suggesting that Biosk be his teacher even when the knight had a personal vendetta against the kumo jounin, and lastly he was made at himself for allowing this beating to continue. If only he had his sword onhim, then at the very least he would stand a fighting chance.
Biosk rose his foot one more time to strike Sanosuke, but this time, he caught the kick with his hand. Chakra licked off Sanosuke’s bruised body as clung onto Biosk’s leg in pure anger. This chakra wasn’t coming from him but from the nature himself. He had no idea how he was doing this but he didn’t care at all. He just wanted to have someone to take his anger out on. And that someone was Biosk; also known as the asshole who was mercilessly beating him to a bloody pulp.
The armored boot that Sanosuke was grabbing slightly bent at the pressure Sanosuke was putting on it with his hand that he was gripping it with. Chakra came off his body in the form of wisps and rolled off his body. The anger let his body ignore the pain that was resonating throughout his body. Not even his broken ribs or sore legs slowed his movement down. "Get...your foot....OFF ME!!" Sanosuke roared loudly. His right eye transformed into the symbol of the demon. When that happened, the chakra that was around him sky rocketed upwards. His body felt as though he was being torn apart. The pain was too great for him to register. He had no idea that he was going through this much pain, the fact that his kekkai genkai was activated only made it worse.
With a roar, Sanosuke leaped back up to his feet and went in for a punch. Biosk's eye's popped open in shock and lifted his arms to protect himself for once. He was on the defense for once. That wasn't going to be enough to stop his rage. All the chakra that was around Sanosuke's body all went into his arm. The amount of chakra that was focused was so much that a massive amount of chakra was being torrented around his fist. Pressure built up in his arm, his muscles were feeling like lead but Sanosuke was dedicated that in the task of tearing down Biosk's guard.
"THAT'S NOT GONNA WORK ON ME!!" Sanosuke howled at Biosk when he threw his fist at Biosk's guard. Biosk attempted to use chakra to shield himself from Sanosuke's attack. It would have succeeded if he had more time to prepare for Sanosuke's attack. His punch tore right through Biosk's last minute guard like a hot knife going through a stick of butter. Biosk's face was rammed hard with the chakra empowered fist that Sanosuke threw. As soon as his fist made contact, Sanosuke unleashed the chakra that he had built up in his fist. With a roar, the chakra gave the punch more torque and sent Biosk flying away from Sanosuke. The wasp knight went through not just one tree, not just two trees, but three of them on the opposite side of the seemingly endless courtyard. Biosk's body hit the tree harder than Sanosuke did when he was sent flying. The tree's trunk cracked under the pressure of Biosk's velocity.
Sanosuke panted heavily as the chakra left his body. Sweat dropped down from his face in be form if a downpour. His white shirt was nearly drenched in his own sweat as he stood in the finishing stance of his punch. His legs were wobbly and wouldn't move. Sanosuke's consciousness was fading, in his anger he had used too much of his chakra in that strike. His right arm that he used to punch Biosk was numb. When Sanosuke stood up properly, even though his legs were screaming in protest, he looked over at Biosk who was struggling to get back up on his feet from the punch Sanosuke delivered to him.
"That's what you...get..." Sanosuke panted before he lost all control in his body and fell forwards in the ground and fell on his face. His consciousness faded into black as he was laying down on the grass floor from exhaustion.
