A full moon rose high as Kaze stood atop the wall surrounding Sunagakure, the guards didn't always like him to be up here but sometimes allowed it, luckily tonight was one such night as the moon always brought out his artistic nature. He had brought his sitar with him this time as well, having a seat his hands glided over the long neck of the instrument before plucking a few cords, it sounded sour, with some fine tuning he swiped the back of his hand across it's surface producing a sweeter melodic tune this time.

"Hmm, there we go, that's the sweet spot." A smirk spread across his face, "Sweet like a woman's body." as he let out another melodic strumming tune.

The melodic tune gave his surroundings a calm and peaceful setting while he strummed it's many cords, a complex instrument, but quite worth it when one has mastered it. He allowed to let his guard fall shutting his eyes reminiscing of the days his mother would sing him lullabies. These far off and distant thought brought the melody to life, in it's entirety it sounded rather sad soon picking up into a subtly happier tune. He could spend hours on the wall under that moon, and he intended to do just that.

Finding the sweet tune in his melody Kaze stood atop that grand wall, walking along the edge admiring the moonlit desert and the serenity it brought to him. His strumming turned to quick plucks in keeping the tempo with his feet as he gracefully shifted about the wall, as a cool breeze blew past him it carried his song across Sunagakure, easing the mind of those who could hear it, this tune was much more happy and uplifting than that which was laden with sadness. "Sleep well my brothers and sisters of the village hidden within the sand, sleep well tonight while I play this melody for you all." It had not been his intention but the wind may even have carried his voice across the vast village.

All the while he could see a hawk gliding above before swooping down to the desert floor and back into the night sky filled with shining diamonds of everlasting beauty. So far as to never be reached by mortal hands, and yet always within grasp of the naked eye. And still he played, how much time had passed he could not say, all he knew is that he had traversed the walls of his home not once, twice or thrice but nearly five times now strumming all the while, and the moon had not left him during this time. "Maybe this is what one would call...serenity?" Kaze thought to himself never giving up on those strings.

The moon slowly faded from view as it's descent back into darkness began, his song once again came to be laced by sad thoughts of the past. His heart sank side by side with his beloved moon, he has nary felt such a thing, only once before, 4 years into his past, a fateful and horrid day. A single tear plummeted to the cold stone beneath his feet, such a painful feeling, the pain was not physical, far beyond, it drove into his very bones all the while he played his song. The time of the moon finally passed, turning to view the light of day spring to life, it's ascension was, not unwelcome, but neither did it bring rest to his sinking heart and aching bones. A single and final strum that seemed to last a century as another cool breeze carried it away, this time he felt the clarity he had not known for the past 4 years of his life, it was soothing and warm, knowing there is still beauty in this world, and one of them had carried his tune over his home and across the very seas of sand that surrounded it. "I think...I can finally let go." He knew then what it was to let go of the past.
