'Without the mask, we have an identity, but when it's on we lose it...'

Binsu put on his mask for the third time in his life. Today he had been assigned the task of helping a team of Special Jounin shinobi located the at the heart of the Kumogakure border, where they had been primarily sent to fend off an external attack from a small band of bandits. The Special Jounin ninja had sent in a distress call to the village council and in return had sent Binsu over to their location to aid them on their mission. The Jounin hadn't been given any prior information on any of the bandits' ranks or numbers, nor was he given information on the 3 special jounin men he had to go help.

After preparing himself for the mission he was about to partake, Binsu made sure he exited his house through an unknown exit underneath his house to avoid being seen in his ANBU apparel by any nearby bystanders at the time. He made his way through the underground tunnels and soon found himself out of the village within minutes, before emerging above ground through one of the many tunnel exits built outside and around the village's walls and all disguised as tree stumps. Looking through the forest that presented itself before him, Binsu chose to travel towards the North-East direction towards the location of the Kumogakure border. Equipped on him were his Static Edge blade and his Daken blade, both sheathed by his left side hip in each of their scabbards. It didn't take the Jounin long before he reached the location of the Special Jounin in distress, sure he was at the right location based on the condition of one of the three men he saw lying on a thick tree branch perched high up in the canopies of the forest. After landing down on the same branch as the 3 shinobi, Binsu knelt down his left knee and examined the current state of each of the three men. As described in the details of the mission he had received, one of the men were badly wounded in the left leg, a statement that was proven true to Binsu when he saw one of the men at the site lying down against the tree's trunk with one leg extended out. Binsu could see blood soaked into the man's pants, were the wound was located. "How bad is it?" asked Binsu under the muffled tone he gained from activating his ANBU mask's voice modifier. One of the two healthy men Binsu saw crouched next to the wounded guy looked away from their wounded friend and stared into the black, blank eyes of Binsu's ANBU mask and said, "Really bad, we fear he broke his leg and tore at least 4 muscle tendons under his knee caffs." At that very moment, out of nowhere a kunai came flying past Binsu's head and landed just above the wounded's guy's head, piercing itself deep into the trunk of the tree behind the guy's head. "One of you take him back to the village, the other and i will stay and fend off these men," Binsu exclaimed, before standing up on the spot, turning to face the direction at which the kunai came from and drew out his Daken and Static Edge blades.

"Right!" called out the last of the three shinobi, before carefully throwing their wounded partner over his shoulder and taking off towards the direction before had came from. After watching the two of them leave, Binsu looked towards the other guy and said, "Name?" The man stared at Binsu for a second, before saying, "Jokurei, and yours?" "Call me twenty three," replied Binsu, before he activated his Byakugan and scanned the area to see where the bandits were hiding. The jounin spotted two perched on top of a tree branch located about 10ft away from his location at a height lesser than his own by at least two meters. After searching around the forest once more to make sure he hadn't missed any more of the bandits, Binsu found the last of the two bandits West of their current location, about 8ft away from Binsu and Jokurei's location. "Follow me, but watch out for the ones to your left," Binsu ordered the shinobi, before making his way towards the first two of the group of bandits he had first located using his Byakugan. The ANBU and his follower reached the two bandits in no time and after taking one quick glance over their appearance, Binsu saw that each were equipped with one low quality katana of some sort. Both had their blades out and drawn in each of their right hands. 1"Heh, lousy Kumo nin, so scared as to send their ANBU after us!" cried out the bandit stnading to the left of the tallest looking one. 1"Leave it to the Raikage to show just how weak Kumogakure really is!" spoke the tallest of the two, before changing his relaxed stance into one read for combat. "What is your dominant element?" asked Binsu, eyes fixed on both of the laughing bandits standing just below he and Jokurei. Jokurei looked up to Binsu, before setting his gaze back towards the two bandits and saying, "Eh fire, why?" "When i give you the command, i want you to launch a fireball attack behind you," Binsu said. He then gave the moment 3 seconds to pass, before saying, "Now!" and at that moment, the other two bandits Binsu had spotted behind him and Jokurei using his Byakugan pounced out of the leaves behind the pair and each made an attempt at fly-kicking either of the two behind their backs, but just as they made their appearance, Jokurei turned around and blew a large ball of fire aimed towards the two mid-flight bandits. The flames engulfed the two strangers and burnt off their shoes and lower half of their trousers, giving each of the men 2nd degree burns on both of their bare-naked feet. 2,2"AARRGGHHH!!" the two of them cried, as the fell on the tree branch bellow each with burnt legs to hold onto.

The horrid screams of the two badly-burnt ninja didn't capture the attention of Binsu, as the jounin had been more focused on the two armed bandits standing just below him. Their facial expressions were that of annoyed men's and their posture had changed to suit their mood. Not giving either of them a chance to strike first, Binsu jumped into the air and completed a front flip mid air before landing just in between the two of them, with his Daken blade held firmly in his right hand and his Static edge blade in his left, both held firmly with the regular sword hand grip. The bandit standing to Binsu's right charged up his rusty katana with a low level chakra flow technique, before swinging the blade across his chest up and downwards over Binsu's head, but the jounin quickly raised his Daken blade up horizontally to meet with the guy's blade and made an attempt at slicing the other bandit's back with his Static edge blade. The attempt was blocked at the cost of the bandit's sword gaining a 1cm deep cut down the sword's blade. The other bandit retreated his blade back and made a second attempt at hitting Binsu, this time aiming to stab the ANBU through his right-side rib cage, but the jounin brought back his Daken blade away from the block and jumped high up into the air, completing a full back flip mid air before landing directly on top of the guy's sword.  He then cut the guy's arm clean off of his body using his Daken blade and elbowed the bandit's body away to the side using his right hand elbow once the arm had fallen off. The man's body dropped onto the large tree branch, before rolling off of it and falling 9ft onto the ground below. Before Binsu could celebrate, the other bandit was quick to dodge Binsu's first attempt at slicing at his back and followed this move with a downwards slash at Binsu's now-vulnerable left arm. Without giving much thought into how he was going to avoid the guys attack, Binsu instead extended his left arm out towards the guy and under his raised arms, letting the guy's body dash into the tip of his Static Edge blade and through the whole sword's blade. The man's body was paralyzed instantly when the sword went so far as a cm through his chest, causing him to drop his sword onto the tree branch they were currently standing on and leaving his body at the mercy of Binsu's hands.

On the other end of the battle ground, Jokurei had just jumped off of the branch he and Binsu had been standing on, choosing to confront the two burnt men head on from a closer range than before. The special Jounin shinobi had on him 5 identical kunai and 5 shuriken. He wore the official Kumogakurre flak jacket, which protected him from basic E and D ranked attacks around the torso area. The man gave the two bandits a few seconds to recover from the burns, before saying, "You'll have to answer to the Raikage after this," but as he finished saying the last word of that sentence, one of the two bandits got up on his feet and tripped the Special Jounin shinobi causing him to fall down backwards onto another large tree branch below. Binsu saw his comrade slip but was slow in reaching the shinobi in time to catch his fall. Just then, the second of the two standing bandits jumped off of the branch he and his team had been standing on and made his attempt at tackling Binsu away from the fallen Jokurei, but the ANBU was too fast for the guy to even come as close as two meters from him. Just as the guy pounced towards him, Binsu shunshin no jutsu to instantly transport himself next to the first of the two bandits, the one who had tripped his comrade first, before kneeing the man in the gut and sending him flying 5ft backwards into an opposing tree trunk. Down below, Jokurei had managed to get back up onto his feet and was about to go in a one on one duel with the bandit Binsu had left for him to fight behind. 2"Now you'll pay for killing our men!" cried the bandit, before bolting towards the Special jounin shinobi, only to be cloth lined onto the ground below by the man. Jokurei then threaded together a few familiar hand signs, before pressing his right hand index and middle finger against his lips and blowing out a stored amount of katon chakra out of his mouth in the form of a large fire ball attack. The flames chased after the falling bandit and within seconds, had caught up to the man before engulfing his body in a large cloak of scorching hot flames.

"Sorry i couldn't bring you back to the village, intruders aren't welcomed," Binsu spoke aloud, before dashing forwards towards the bandit he had once kicked towards the tree behind him before driving his Daken blade through the man's heart. Blood spewed out of the poor guy's mouth, before his rolled over and showed nothing but his scleroses, a clear sign that the sudden attack had killed the guy instantly. After pulling the sword's tip out of the man's chest, his lifeless body rolled over onto its right shoulder before rolling off of the tree branch they had been standing. Binsu sheathed both of his blades at once after watching the last of the bandits' bodies fall lifelessly onto the ground below. The nimble ANBU then directed his attention towards Jokurei, who until now had been standing breathlessly on the edge of a higher-up branch then Binsu's after having killed not one but two of the low life bandits that had attacked them. Binsu jumped up onto the branch the man had been standing on, before saying, "That was your first time killing a man wasn't it?" The man's body was shaking relentlessly at the time and his eyes were wide open. It took him 10 seconds to respond, but when he did he started off by saying, "Y-yes...that was my first time...killing, but it should be expect right? I mean, ninjas are born to kill right?" "Ninjas were born men and women, they grow up and choose their own path to follow," exclaimed Binsu. "I can't say for sure that my path was the right one to take, but i can certainly say it was a better path compared to those these bandits decided to take." Jokurei nodded in agreement, not as frightened as before but little signs such an occasional twitch of the eye told Binsu that feared had not escaped the guy yet, but he couldn't blame the guy for his emotions. After speaking to the guy for a while longer, Binsu decided that it was probably time for him to head back home, fearing that the longer he stayed the higher the risk of his identity as an ANBU being discovered was. He advised the Special Jounin shinobi to go down and grab two of the bandits' bodies to present to the Raikage as proof of their assassination, leaving Binsu to grab the remaining two's bodies.

On the ground below, all but one of the bodies had landed face flat on the ground, the exception being the one body that landed with his back to the ground and his head facing upwards to the sky. Surely the 10ft or so fall would've cracked any of their heads upon impact with the ground, though none would've felt any pain from the fall as they had been fallen only seconds after dying. Binsu and Jokurei didn't find navigating back to Kumogakure as a challenge, the only challenging part about the journey was having to carry two full grown adult bodies each whilst running. After the medical ninja in kumogakure verified that all of the bodies they had received of the bandits were truly dead, before writing a letter to the Kage giving her the ok to grant both of the shinobi their rewards. After getting his share of the reward, Binsu made sure he made his way back home using the secret under ground tunnels he had dug up not long ago in order to make it in and out of his house unnoticed by nearby onlookers.
