Momaru raced to the gate of the village, thinking intently as they moved forward. What could be needed back in Kiri for? Solstice was on the way home when he left, so he knew that they weren't unguarded. Not to mention there were two more Sannin to help protect the people and the village. Either something was going on that had spooked them, or they had been attacked. Either way, he needed to get back before anything drastic happens. They finally approached the gate and Strafe waved to the men behind the desk as they burst through the open gates. Momaru finally was able to shift into full speed as they headed towards the docks that would lead the back to the Land of Water. The village hidden in the mist was one that was known around the shinobi world for their combat skills, so he was not worried too much.
It always seemed like the returning trips take less time than the first trip. Within what seemed like only an hour or two, they were at the docks. That could be because of Momaru picking up the pace quite a bit this time around. Either way he was grateful, as he wanted to get back as quickly as possible. Momaru barely stopped as he jumped onto the boat with Strafe still on his back. The boat rocked a couple of times before settling down. They immediately took off across the water, as the could sense the urgency on Strafe's face and gestures. "If you don't mind, I would like for you to hurry. I will pay you double the usual amount for your services." Strafe said to them as he watched their eyes light up. If he knew anything, money talked.
Regardless of how much he could pay them, you could only go so fast on water via the power of man. He pondered jumping out of the water and using the Supernatural Walking Practice to get there himself, but he didn't know how far out they were. After another hour or so of waiting, the boat started to be covered by the thick mist that he missed so much. He was finally back home, or at least most of the way. From this point, it would only be an hour or two more before they reached land, and at that point Momaru would take off once again. Strafe didn't know what to do to occupy his time. He was simply sitting there tapping his foot. Momaru chuckled slightly at the site, but Strafe simply didn't have the stomach to laugh at the moment. He just could shake this feeling.
Another hour of tedious waiting went by and Strafe finally saw land in sight. "Thank you for the ride." He said to the men and handed them their money. He then jumped off the lions back and hit the water. Using the Supernatural Walking Practice, he ran accross the water to land, running at top speed. He didn't really have time to wait on a boat, and so he wouldn't. He moved at the top speed his body would allow, which was quite fast considering his rank. Within moments of touching the water, he heard Momaru behind him, keeping up with him. After a few minutes of running, they hit land and moved forward to the village. The island wasn't that big, so the amount of time that was left to get there was quite short. About thirty minutes.
After the about twenty minutes, Strafe saw the familiar site of Kirigakure in his vision. He smiled as he saw the guards, the buildings, and everything he loved about the village. He needed to report to the Kage fast, and so he continued to run with Momaru behind him. That is what you call express travel.
